izu is an idiöt....

As a result of the potential risks to Liya’s welfare and wellbeing discovered, I granted my mother Power of Attorney to act on my behalf with matters regarding the welfare of Liya as I was not happy with the situation at hand and the best outcome was for Liya to be brought to Nigeria. Ronke’s family was informed that same day Liya arrived Nigeria including our exact location. Putting up that Instagram post on missing child was not called for, as they were duly informed. It seemed like a deliberate act to sabotage the good name of my family and indirectly hurt my mother.
so he granted his kidnapper mother the power of attorney but was it with the consent of liya's mother? this is stealing - how can you take what belongs to someone else without her permission.

then again, he said ronke's mother was informed the same day liya arrived in nigeria? why didn't they inform ronke's mother before the baby was taken from the UK?

i hate it when a fool thinks he can play on my intelligence. this boy should be arrested. this is a conspiracy to kidnap a minor. he should have kept quiet instead of coming up with this crap.

Marrying a woman is actually a favour to women. If men had their way, they'd go about fvcking one woman to the next. In marriage, men get the short end of the stick, it doesn't benefit men. If she doesn't want to leave her father's name she should feel free to die in his house. Or not have children or any of the rubbish sacrifices you are trying to feed us with. Do women not want children? Do they not want to nurture. Oga, if you want to post something look for something meaningful, not this drivel.

people upload their regular pictures on facebook. And yes, they still get compliments.
how many of these people have you met in real life?

so, i'd say facebook is more genuine than nairaland where everything and everybody is fake.
nairaland isn't about fake/original. who cares what you look like - just bring intelligence to the table and you are good to go!

as per bible verses, i guess you're one of those anti-Christ beings.
if i want to read devotional books, i have about 5 copies of "open heavens" & "our daily bread". why would people turn social media into celestial church just because they want to appear to be spiritually deep....

that's bollocks.....

lastly, when did facebook become about measuring IQ? huh
and that's exactly the reason it's not for people like me. it's surely for voyëurs like you - all you want to do all your life is to view people's pictures & peep into their lives. you probably save pictures of cute guys on facebook to aid your mästurbatory habit. grin

i wonder why this comment is generating so many knee jerk reactions.

the fact remains, whether married or not, some women need to learn how to separate the fictional online compliments from the genuine thing.

nairaland is not facebook where people pay you compliments and mean it most of the time.

and why exactly is the approval of faceless anonymous characters so important to some folks?
facebook is faker than NL.
i don't have an iota of respect for any chronic facebooker. people load their finest pics & fish for compliments......or they post 10,000 lines of bible scriptures trying to convince you they are spiritually deep.

how do you measure people's IQ on facebook? face isn't intelligence, madam tpia.

coogar pray that you are not wholly dependent on the NHS if you have a life threatening disease that needs immediate treatment.

An 8 week waiting list on the NHS will be a 1 week wait at a private hospital. If you have a growth, God forbid, that 7 week difference can mean the difference between life and death.

Dont get me wrong, the NHS is great, but not every disease will wait for the NHS waiting list.

TV01:
Good effort Wonlasewonimi, Sagamite and Coogar'

Contracting definitely has it's merits. I sit next to two at work. And both cinsidered their positions and actually gave up perm roles.

In addition to those mentioned, they also avoid most of the politics and get to keep it fresh, building more extensive networks. Wonlasewonim actually has a point about benefits though. Lot's of firms are still cutting back and those he cited sound eye-wideningly juicy - and probably not to rare at worker-man level grin!

However, even lower down non-contributory pensions of 20% and bonuses of around 15% still make a difference. Not to mention paid holiday, family health insurance cover and a number of other - albeit - small - ones - all add up.

Security is often cited, but that's not a big seller in the current market. Although If you are a perm, a 4 figure pay-off is always likely.

I didn't cause the derailment, only helped it along grin!

TV
do you sometimes think about their take-home pay? grin

to be perfectly honest - whether contracting or permie, i think it depends on what stage of life the person concerned is. if he's unmarried yet with no big family responsibility, contracting is the surer bet.

if he's a newly wed....
permie is the better option. he has to stay near his wifey as contracting can take one to as far as anywhere in europe.

if he's a settled family man with grown kids already, then whatever floats his boat should do. i like traveling.....i love the hotel life. grin

wonlasewonimi:
So, you'd rather your wards start their lives with gbese? if you have the easy options to pay for them? You think BUPA would do dental work of £40k or give my favourite olosho breasttt enlargement grin grin
which gbese?
so they won't incur gbese in yankee where they would be international students? even yankee citizens use grants to get into Ivy League schools. who didn't start with gbese? mortgage is not gbese? car finance isn't gbese? wonlash, i am 600% sure your iPhone is also gbese. grin

olodo ni e ni, sebi you call yourself a tester. Tester no dey work for financial services?
who says they don't work there? but they will be paid normal rates there. they won't pay them more because they are contractors in an investment bank. only the bankers get ridiculously paid.

Come on, break a bone and be waiting for a remote access when they can get someone with same skillset without struggling.
NHS will treat me. grin

How else do you expect me to advance my point than what I have already highlighted up there...you get astigmatism? grin grin
you haven't - your child does not have to study in the US. there are good schools here - plenty of them sef. grin

You see I'm saying you are not thinking strategic. If you have family nko? Bobo yii omode ni e. Contractor would pay tuition for 3 kids in US university or medicals for immediate family?
why would they need to go to a US university? imperial college, kcl, etc don't exist anymore? grin send my precious kids to a country where they are more likely to be shot or räped? thanks but no thanks....

besides that, there are even students loans here. NHS is free. i am BUPA-signed....what else?

AVPs in very profitable investment banks can earn up to 100k as bonus albeit pre tax. You a contractor on the same level would open mouth.
i don't want - grin
i am not a banker....i never studied banking, let investment bankers keep £4m as bonus, that's their luck.

You don't log in via intranet mate. You log in via VPN! Regulatory controls are changing, information protection is key. Most companies will not grant a contractor remote access these days.
if they value his input, they would grant him a remote access. is it his fault he broke his anterior cruciate ligament?

Anyway whatever floats your boat. But on the long run, I'd prefer a Permanent role with very juicy benefits.
you have not advanced any point why you think permanent is better but like you said, whatever floats your raft. grin

which correct father?
that would be a hubby who probably borrows from his inlaw's, a hubby who sleeps over in his inlaw's house, a hubby who removes shirt to devour bowl of eba in her inlaw's house.

i am not about that.
the only time i would be having tête-a-tête with any father in law is when i am paying the bride price....after then, he better minds his business & face his own wife.

if i then find out the reasons my wife has been misbehaving is as a result of her father's backing then that man would get verbally lashed. i don't even see such happening. if he looks into my eyes, he would get the message that my type cannot condone any nonsense.

@op, have you talked to your wife about these changes?
like it or not, the most important thing to a woman from a man is not money, so, forget about the 'I take care of her financially' part.
A normal, sane woman does not exhibit all of those characteristics at once, not to a very wonderful husband. She's most likely reacting to something. Have you cheated or are you cheating on her? Do you have unresolved issues? How's the sex life? Etc etc......I seriously believe your wife is reacting to an equal but opposite action, identify the action and you can move from there.

However, if you're strongly convinced that this woman has just made it her life ambition to frustrate you for no reason, then, you have a psycho on your hand-you know what to do wink
it's the 21st century....
any father in law that has the support of his erring daughter would get verbally lashed to have done a terrible job as a father.

i would spell it out to him how he is an irresponsible father to his children. parents that are family oriented would nudge their daughter to behave herself in her matrimony - not fan the embers of fire.

Hello Peep, i need ur advise,, i am married to a woman i tot was of a certain characteristics upon marriage and two years down the line my only source of happiness are the two children (Boy and Girl) we have.

Despite all I do (as bread winner) to please her she is not appreciative, she disrespect me, she doesn't cook for me, she complains too much, she compares me to her father daily even though i have told her her mother has a better character than her that is why her father would do anything to please her.

I am always unhappy becos of her character, i am thinking of seeking divorce.

What do u guys think?
•she doesn't respect you
•she doesn't appreciate you
•she is a moaner
•she compares you to her father all the time.

divorce isn't even needed now. man up & give her father a call. break it down to him how he has failed as a father to bring up her daughter the proper way.

tell him how disappointed you are to have been scammed to marry a damaged good(his daughter). tell him you are few inches away from driving a dagger into his daughter's heart & if care is not taken, he would be burying his daughter instead of celebrating christmas....

trust me, things would change......

I'm talking strategic you're talking operational! Even if you earn £2000 a day, some permanent roles with better perks are way better. If you go and play 5 a side football tomorrow and you break a bone. You are doomed if you are contractor. And, that's also the africanness in you doing the talking. Give me all those benefits I'm good to go! grin grin
what are the odds that such would happen? i have never been admitted to a hospital before. the worst i have had is A & E and I walked away within few hours.

if i break a bone, i can work from home. many contractors do. is it not to log in via intranet & do what you gotta do? abeg, cash is king anytime anyday & i have more control of it than a permie.
Family › Re: UK-based Nigerian Mother Pleas For Help For Kidnapped Child by coogar: 10:13am On Oct 16, 2014
wonlasewonimi:
There are people that have been contracting for years and not out of job for once. That’s why you have to acquire specialist skills that will make you indispensable. More so, with that kind of money you realistically only have to work like 8 months a year.
Mind you, do not underestimate the perquisites that comes with Permanent roles. It’s the ‘africanness’ in us that makes us think the company that’s paying £500/day is a maga, the company will be like this new employee is ode for taking this chicken change. If you have benefits that gives you accommodation in choice areas, bottomless medical allowance, your choice of company car that would be sold to you at a ridiculous price after 2 year use, tuition for your kids up to university anywhere in the world, and annual bonus for your efforts. You’ll realise you are short changing yourself by contracting. That’s why you see some people working in the same place for the past 25 years polishing their pension pot. grin grin
contracting is still the better option. it gives me more control & i can manipulate my taxes to the barest minimum.

besides, the contractor can claim expenses for all of their work-related equipment, things like tablets, mobile phones, office equipment, laptops, internet connections and so on.

as for paid holidays, a contractor earns more than enough he can save to afford any holiday he wants. on items that come with VATs alone, a contractor can can offset against their input VAT charged on their invoices, representing a further discount compared to what the permanent staff pays.

Coogar,abeg shift.
I dont agree with u.
D only reason ladies fake that is simply not to crush una ego. Simple! kiss cheesy
how can that be the reason?
how come men don't fake theirs not to crush women's ego? the major reason women fake it is because more than 80% of the women out there would never achieve orgäsm through vagïnal sėx & they are too insecure to admit that to their partners

U know what it means telling a guy his performance is not good enough? Next time john thomas might refuse to answer when u call him(yep it can get this bad, relationship experts can tell u that).
a guy can hump like a bull overdosed on viagra & the woman still wouldn't reach the promised land. it has little to do with a man's performance. clitoral orgäsms are surer than vagïnal òrgasms....that's the difference.

Most times ladies use style to hand direct d dude on what to do or u see them subtly changing positions while chanting ur name.
Some correct babes will continue nudging until u get it right yet u will never hear them tell u u r not good. Meanwhile ur head has been swelling that u r a champion.
ask about me in ituku ozalla - the maidens there would testify to you. grin there's no reason a woman should fake it - it's a pure deceit & she's not helping her case. her partner may never know what to do
