Assist is about quality of delivery while chances created is about how much your strikers can position and shoot at goal.
this is stüpidity at its sterling quality.
the difference between assist & chance created is if your team mate scores from the pass you delivered.
ozil treaded a good pass to welbeck, welbeck hit the post.
had welbeck scored, ozil woulda gotten the assist. welbeck missed, ozil got his pass recorded as chance created.

how is it ozil's fault that welbeck missed?

this is why assist charts is for amateurs like you.

Produce same chart as you did fo 2013/14. I did not look at that yeye one you produced. It's zero.
do you have polio? you cannot use your hands & provide the stats you need?

I made a mistake in this calculation ooo. Hazard murdered Silver even in assists. It's 239 mins for Hazard.
my football knowledge is more advanced than analysing assist charts. it's for newbies like yourself. assists largely depend on a team-mate, it's not entirely an individual stat, it's a team stat.

chance created is an individual stat cos no matter what the team mate does with the ball, you still get rewarded for your own part of the action. so keep hugging stats assist.

* Has anyone noticed Coogar refused to produce the chart fro 2012/2013. cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy
what's there to talk about 12/13 stat? i produced that already yesterday & hazard was murdered.

* The shots should be able strikers and not midfilders. Again until you narrow it down to how many shots taken when Silver played, it is not even a topic. We have seen that City score and create chances whether Silva played or not. So your argument is flawed.
are you an idiöt?
so if hazard passes to lampard to take a shot, it won't count as a chance created? who cares who takes the shot? if hazard passes to cech in the opponent's box & cech takes a shot that went to row z, it's still a created chance.

so chelsea didn't create chances when hazard was missing? hazard missed 3 games(swansea, liverpool & sunderland)

chelsea took 26 shots against swansea
chelsea took 31 shots against sunderland
chelsea took 11 shots against liverpool.

who created the chances? hazard's ghost? grin

* City will have more goals from less counter attacks because of their fire power.
they both scored 5 goals each from counter-attacks. another lie of yours fully exposed. grin

These are the reassons whoscored gives you the overall situation and the professionals voted Hazard as the boss of Silva. The same reason Hazard is valued above 50 million pounds.
there's no singular reason apart from popularity contest or the timing of the awards. silva is heads & shoulders above hazard last season.

silva made 86 key-passes.....3.2 key passes per game. the player next to him on city's roster is nasri(2.7 per game) - so no excuses here. silva is the creative pillar in the city squad & he's 5 times better than hazard can ever be.

my thoughts too.
Funny thing is the so called osu's are always very beautiful, even many of their men are said to be very rich and succesful, so i heard.
I was discussing with a friend days ago, and told him him that if i find a girl to marry and she happens to be osu, ill go ahead even if my parents objected for instance. He then reminded me that the ummunna will disassociate themselves from anything concerning the marriage, of course this got me thinking...... I have the feeling that 'some' of the pretty girls who are of marriageble age who you see in marriage seminars may be the osu thingy denying them marriage, cos sometimes you begin to wonder why such a beautiful girl isnt married cheesy
In 's voice, May God help us all grin
if i come across any osu chic, i would loan her a protruding belle. the umunna & umuada can't do nada. i will first do a change of name for her - give her an itshekiri or an ijaw name. they won't be able to trace jack. transport fare is expensive these days, no one would risk their lives to go to asari dokubo's domain & catch the stray bullets of ijaw terrorists. grin

Creating the chances has so much to do with the quality of the strikers. The strikers have to have sense of positioning to be able to shoot or head into the net. Where they cannot do that, the midfielders will have to pounce on rebounds from missed oppornunities. That reduces the chances Hazard would have created for his strikers. When th strikers fail to create the chance for themselves, the midfielders stay behind them to shoot from tghe left overs. With that the earlier chances had been cancelled.
time to nail your coffin!

the stats above prove chelsea took more shots than city - which nullified your assertion that chelsea players don't like taking shots.

www.nairaland.com/attachments/1765910_image_jpeg9f360c5ab7736510df54c882e9dbf188

this stat proves chelsea & city scored the same number of goals from counter attack which also nullifies your assertion that chelsea particularly play counter-attacking football & didn't get the best out of hazard.

It has so much to do with it. If you have a Rooney or Balotelli or Aguero or Dzeco or Tevez who shoots at any given opportunity, you would have more chances created than having a Welbeck or Torres or Eto who want the coast to be very clear before they shoot at goal.
you are starting to skip like a faulty CD.
so it's only strikers that are allowed to shoot at chelsea? what about their rampant floating 3 behind the centre foward that shoots at will.

only 3 players had more than 2 shots per game at man city excluding david silva. 5 players had more than 2 shots per game at chelsea excluding eden hazard. even toure that scored 20 league goals that season averaged only 1.8 shots per game.

that alone tells me creating the chances had nothing to do with the quality of strikers - shots were still taken. statistics revealed chelsea took 693 shots last season to city's 673 shots. so what's your excuse? each of the passes that led to those shots taken is a created chance.

just admit it, hazard is inferior to silva.

I don't doubt that part of history but that was a long time ago and not a time where most tribes don't come out smelling of roses. As you said all the other sub groups had slave merchants as well and I guess the capitalists in them made them take advantage of that fact. Not nice but it's in the past and most people who have issues with them seem to be from the jazz and being stingy issues. Also I forgot to add earlier there is this notion (hence why some people say I can even stand the men grin) that ijebu women are domineering as wives, mothers, mother in laws etc.Not saying that might not be true of SOME ijebu women but it's a stereotype that is further fuelled by some of these women being very financially independent.
of course, it's in the past but the generation that witnessed it & their immediate offspring aren't letting go. in another 20-50 years, all of them should be dead & hopefully, the stereotyping would end.

it saddens me how people still hold on to dark history. and you know what they say about forbidden things......ijebu babes all of a sudden became the most attractive of the lot & it has to do with the fact that it's almost forbidden in nearly all the other yoruba states. grin

Stereotypes are just what they are pre conceived notions about a set of people and I think it's just best to deal with people on an individual level.I know owerri ladies, (cococandy is mbaise owerri?)Benin or edo women etc too have to deal with those stereotypes as well so like I said deal with the Individual based on their own behaviour.
they still have the osu thingy in the east. i cannot imagine taking a sweet babe to ituku ozalla only for my family to say she's an osu....i would start a riot. osu-gini? do osus have 3 brëasts or what is forbidden about them? me thinks we should get rid of all the folks older than 70 in our midst in nigeria, they are the ones holding the progress of that country & it's unity.

2012/2013
Dzeko 14 goals, Aguero 12 goals, Tevez 11 goals.
Tores 8 goals, Ba 2 goals, Sturridge 1 goal.

2013/2014
Aguero 17 goals, Dzeko 16 goals, Negrdo 9
Samuel Eto 9 goals, Ba 5 goals, Torres 5 goals.

The difference in the stats is the fire power of the strikers.

Imagine if Chelsea had Costa since. Let's say Costa, Rooney/Tevez and Hernadez. And they play free football, not parking of bus.
this is another fraudulent deduction.....

the quality of the fire power has nothing to do with the chances created. we are not calculating goal assists, we are calculating passes that led to every shot taken. whether torres/ba scored or missed, it bears no relevance to chance created.

* That stat is screwed by the fact that Chelsea played more on the counter last season and didn't have good strikers as well. Swap the style of play and the strikers of the two clubs, Hazard will shitt on Silva. Take Eto and Torres to City and bring Aguero, Dzeko and Toure to Chelsea. You see the fire power.
what has counter attack gotta do with the fact that hazard who we were told here last night hug the touchline more made less crosses than silva(who we were told operated centrally)? you people would lie to sway arguments.

* Silva played the number 10 in at least 8 matches from his few appearances whereas Hazard played in the wing almostt 100%.
this is a lie - silva never played number 10 for city. there was never a time city didn't have 2 fit strikers last season. they interchanged negredo/aguero/dzeko & in the rare cases when they reverted to a lone striker, yaya toure played in the hole.

the stats speak for itself......

hazard - 74 crosses in 2890 mins
silva - 102 crosses in 2162 mins.

and silva played number 10? grin cheesy grin
elampiro, do you take us for morons here? why is a number 10 making more than 100 crosses in spite of the fact that he played 720 minutes less than hazard? grin cheesy

Issues like jazz and being stingy grin

The jazz bit like TV said is less common these days with more and exposure. As for stingy they are just very good money managers and tend to be quite strict with budgeting.I see that alot in my mum and my husband and they rarely ever fall into financial difficulties. They don't spend impulsively and I have one kain confidence that my hubby always has something somewhere grin no matter how much he says he is skint. grin Despite that you can't find people who like the finer things of life as much as them.
there's no tribe in nigeria that is jazz-free. i am not perturbed at all concerning jazz. stinginess & being prudent go hand in hand. it's mostly an individualistic trait.

what is more disturbing is the role they were alleged to have played during the trans-atlantic slave trade. the ijebus had the first contact with the europeans among the yoruba people so they benefitted immensely & even frustrated the other yoruba clans from making profit.

legend has it that the ijebus introduced their own tax before allowing the ijeshas, ondos, ekitis & ibadan slave merchants to ferry their slaves through ijebu land & this ate into their profit. personally, i think this is their major beef with the ijebus.

i did that to notify you & others that there's more meaning to the punchline than it seems. the wordplay is on the words appeal & bent - which means ibime has the swag of a nüde plantain - he's bent(fraudulent) & he lacks a peel!

a nüde plantain is bent & has no cover(peel) - so it's a double entrede + wordplay + punchline all woven together. he's bent(corrupt), lacks appeal(ugly) and he lacks a-peel(nüde plantain).

From your charts, it's obvious that Hazard attempted and completed almost three times the number of dribbles that Silva did
of what essence is the dribbling if it's not creating more chances or more clear cut chances?

i would be ashamed to even defend hazard like you - the same hazard whose 210 attempted dribbles only created 84 chances.....

silva's 44 attempted dribbles created 68 chances. grin how can you not see the difference? why is hazard dribbling when his dribbling is returning a deficit?

Hazard also created 90 chances from open play as opposed to Silva's 68. Of Silva's 86 total chances created, a whopping 18 came from set pieces....18!!! Compare that to Hazard who only had 2 of his total of 92 coming from awoof freekicks(To use your own terms against you)
stop talking like an amateur - hazard spent more minutes on the pitch to create those chances. why do you guys just focus on the absolute numbers and not the vital stats that grades per minute spent?

open play
hazard - 90 chances in 2890 mins
silva - 68 chances in 2162 mins

how can you then conclude hazard is better? grin

When you consider that Hazard was aiming balls at that useless profligacy personifying Torres unlike Silva supplying Yaya Toure and Aguero who only need half a chance, it tells you who the real daddy is from a statistical perspective.....
the chance created has nothing to do with the quality of the striker. this is why i don't pay attention to assist anymore cos it depends on the quality of the teammate receiving the pass. a chance created is a pass that led to a shot taken. whether the shot is on target or not is irrelevant as long as a shot was taken. so torres or aguero has nothing to do with chance created.

Obviously in real life, they are two completely different players with different roles for their sides, so it's impractical to compare them holistically.
no, they can be compared - they serve the same purpose on the pitch.

However, based on the statistics that you have provided, I think it's fair to say that Hazard murdered Silva. I also note that you haven't included goal stats...Where are the goals stats na?
you are an amateur!
hazard played more than 700 league minutes than silva. that's more than 8 league games hazard had than silva .....so in that wise, the absolute number does not tell the true story.

what you should pay attention to is the minute per created chance & minute per clear cut chance created - and that's where silva shines through. read the stats again & draw a more logical conclusion.

homophones
words that are pronounced the same way as another word but with a different meaning, and could also differ slightly in spelling. sometimes, homophones, technically, can also be spelled the same and also be called homonyms.

few examples .....dew/due, scene/seen, ate/eight, etc.

oronym
an oronym is a a couple of phrases(or sentences) that are pronounced similarly due to phonological juncture.

few examples - iced ink/i stink, stuffy nose/stuff he knows, a nice cold shower/an ice cold shower.

homonyms
i am sure you must know this from your oräl english in secondary school - homonyms is one of a group of words that share the same spelling and pronunciation but may have different meanings.

examples.....stalk(plant) and stalk(to follow someone/harass) left(past tense of leave) and left(the opposite of right hand).

hypocatastasis
i won't say anything about this yet so as not to confuse your mind. we shall treat this subject when you get promoted from the basic class to the advanced class. grin cheesy

all those italics in text-battling aren't there for effizi. some other people use quotes or capital letters - but they are just trying to warn you before hand that there may be more meanings to those words or phrases so you need to always task yourself to re-read them instead of skimming through it.

there are 4 different types of wordplays i normally use.....

•homophones
•oronym
•homonyms
•hypocatastasis.

it proves silva is infinitely more creative than hazard can ever be. all the facts are there. silva is even more successful with his dribbling than hazard.

silva is quicker to create chances than hazard - silva is more likely to put a team-mate one on one with a goalkeeper than hazard. silva's crosses are more accurate than hazard's.

the statistics throw more light to their respective football intelligence. if silva is einstein, hazard would be your physics teacher in ikire(osun state).

There is this orientation given by our elders that, there are some town within yoruba that they don't marry each other, and when they coincidentally do, bad things will happen to them.
They said, it is advisable for those areas to marry themselves than inter-marriage with other areas. This leads to the place like Ijebu in ogun state, where due to some things in the part, those who are not from Ijebu area are not advisable to marry from Ijebu. Whereas I envisage Ijebu citizens are not comfortable with this perception from other areas within yoruba with my recent encounter with some Ijebu citizen.

from what i have been able do gather through extensive research, i think the other clans in yoruba are just envious of the ijebus first & foremost. they are the richest in yoruba, the most enlightened & they had first hand transaction with the white men back in the days.

another angle to it is - they benefitted immensely during the slave trade era. they set their own toll-gate and they were ruthless in taxing any slaveowner taking slaves to lagos port. all slaveowners must pass through ijebu to get to lagos back in the days.

the other accusations are stinginess, occultism, jujuism & the myth that their women are a poisoned chalice. their men have no issues at all(apart from love of money, stinginess, etc) according to my research but their women are a double-edged sword.

an ijebu woman is ready to push a newspaper vendor to the senate through her vast connections but if he betrays her via infidelity, womanising or having a love-child outside the marriage, the punishment is death!

believe it or not, this bit seems true. the ratio of ijebu landlords to ijebu landladies is about 1 to 20. so you are in safe hands marrying an ijebu chic provided all the terms agreed before the marriage are respected. if you default, you have bought yourself a first class ticket to lucifer.
