Family › Re: Why Can't Single People 'Just Say No' To Married People? by coogar: 8:15pm On Oct 02, 2014
cococandy: The problem is not with the single people but the married ones. A married person going after a single person knowing very well he/she has a spouse is to blame here.
The single person has no responsibility to protect your home or marriage for you.
So marriages are not breaking up because single people are going out with married ones.
They are breaking up because married ones aren't rspecting their marriages.
so a single person has no common sense to resist such offers? a single person has no common sense that one day she would be married & she wouldn't want to experience such agony?

zboyd: Why do some single men/women think it's acceptable to have affairs with married people?

What's worse, some of these shameless ones brag about it and tell all who'll listen how they 'bagged' the married person, how good they are at bedmatics, how many gifts, money, etc. they've received, with the cheated on spouse none the wiser.

Why can't single people 'just say no' to married people?

With all the other single people running around, why have an affair with someone you KNOW is married - many times with children?

As for adulterous married people, why did you get married, if you didn't think you could commit to one person, 'til death do you part'?

Why do you think it's acceptable to cheat on your spouse?
the forbidden fruit always tastes better.

freecocoa: Na lie, some girls already know what they want even before venturing into some relationships, things may change in the course of the whole thing.

Now if you are in a relationship with someone, I believe 6 months is enough to know if you can do forever with that person or not, therefore define what you want and take it from there.

It's sheer wickedness to date a girl of about 25 for years and then one day say "can't a man and a woman just enjoy spending time" then again, only foolish girls(besides some who were led on)stay in that kinda relationship only to say "he used me" later.

Btw, my first bf was in my first year and believe me, I was only thinking of having fun, marriage wasn't on the list, I just wanted a prince charming who would treat me like the girls in movies cheesy, when it even ended I didn't feel too bad cos I had it at the back of my mind that 'I never even see real men'. Na only girls wey don ready for marriage the see every wey ask them out as husband material.
first year?
freecocoa, i don't believe this your story. i am 100% sure you wrote love letters in your secondary school.

shizzle11: You right bruv! cheesycheesy

I was actually a boss when we started off during the service year, i remeber giving her my monthly alawi on two ocassions when she said she needed to send some money to a sibling back home. I didnt care much cos i made little extra cash while serving, and i had a bro who transfers some change into my account then cheesy

Chick was in my room like 24/7 during PPA, my crib was a mini movie theatre and conference center as my colleagues converged and had plenty of fun at day time, and i donated fluid every night and morning on regular basis. cheesy

i had a good time with her though, but like every thing with a beginning, must have an end cheesycheesy

at every level, a toasted chic wants marriage as the reward. that's when you hear them say "i'm not searching for a boyfriend, i want a husband"

the romantic novels have pumped fantasies into your head. i'm sure you genuinely thought that your boyfriend in JSS2 was going to marry you. cheesy

Woged2005: I know my brother, but more than one hour on top of a lady becomes punishment... remember it's flesh you are rubbing on plus both partners get too tired, sweating profusely to continue. Sometime they have to stop without the man releasing..

shizzle11: They need to understand that the relationship doesnt have to necessarily lead to somewhere. Sometimes we need these relationships so that we can make mistakes and learn from them so that we can know how to handle ourselves when we are ready or get to somewhere
you must be very intelligent!
i dunno why our women cannot get this. they want every relationship to lead to marriage & I cannot just understand that bit.

lol @ bully cheesy there was no way she could bully or manipulate me cos i am a bully myself and can be as sturbbon as a mule. Besides i was ahead of her in thought, from the onset i knew she wasnt my type 'marriage wise' cos we bickered a lot. It actually baffled me that she could come up with that when other way more important things like getting a good jab and making some cool dough pre-occupied my mind, i realy felt disgusted.
perhaps because you had been playing the role of a "husband material" especially in the bedroom. grin cheesy

grin
we have a chance whoever plays there - it's just that lukaku would maul our back four cos of his physicality.

can't wait for us to get ogbonna & vidal next summer. angelo ogbonna is exactly what we need in that defence. only a striker with a suicide mission would compete the ball with ogbonna. grin

Phema: You are not serious! What were you doing with a lady in her late 20s when you knew you were jobless and were no where near settling down? So, you expected her to keep dating you while her eggs dry off?
he must have asked her out, she must have said yes! why did she agree to such arrangement? you ehn......always looking to pass the blame to the man.
Family › Re: Should Women Put Pressure On Their Partners To Propose? by coogar: 5:24pm On Oct 02, 2014
shizzle11: Truth is, there are certain ages that when women attain, the thought/idea of marriage fills their head. If they are in a relationship at that material time, they'll hope it leads to marriage (that is if they truly like the guy), and if they arent in a relationship, they'll hope the next guy that comes along will talk and discuss marriage with them(again thats if its a guy they like) Thats the simple logic cheesy
it's quite different when i was in school. every girl i spoke to wanted the relationship to lead somewhere otherwise......no deal! what if a man likes a girl initially but then changed his mind after few years?

is there a crime in that?

As per my ex i talked about, she was in her late 20's while i was still rocking my mid 20's, plenty of time to still play around cheesycheesy
she's not serious!
she wanted to bully you into marriage seeing that you are younger......she nearly manipulated you. grin marriage in mid-20s ke?

freecocoa: Every relationship must not lead to marriage but, there should be mutual agreement as to what's going on.
hehehehe....
it's not as black & white as you think. it depends on the age of the people involved. can a 17-year-old boy seeking a relationship seriously have marriage on his mind? even if he says so......he should be arrested immediately. grin
Family › Re: Should Women Put Pressure On Their Partners To Propose? by coogar: 5:05pm On Oct 02, 2014
shizzle11: Exactl! I believe she felt her clock was ticking faster, (but who cares? not like i had any thoughts of marrying her anyway) but then i was too smart for her. I politely rubbished the idea and threw it to the waste bin. A man has to be clever and mentally strong in resisting the evil in women
the issue here is - must every relationship lead to marriage? why can't a man & a woman be together for some time and enjoy each other?

RuuDie: Why didn't you call for me when he reset Big Ben in front of a gaping goal at the weekend!?
ruudie is jealous of welbeck. cheesy

RuuDie: So Welbeck scores a hattrick finally - which was always gonna happen someday anyway - and some peeps are getting hard and spewing sp3rm all over the thread!!? Even f3cking Nicklas Bendtner scored a UCL hattrick gaddamit!
UTD put Hernandez and Welbeck on the market same time - Real Madrid came for one and Arsenal for the other... that there folks tells you the 'value' of both!
no one here said welbeck is better than hernandez so i dunno why you brought this comparison. however, hernandez going to madrid is a loan deal. welbeck said he didn't want any loan deal & if he's not going to play at united, then they might as well sell him.

......and he was sold!!!

nwababy: @ Coogar at times you're correct not all the time sha before you start feeling cool. This reminds me of my Aunt that's always having issues with the husband. He cheats on her, club till 2am, lazy ass man, beat her(but she too dey craze cos she don break bottle for her husband's head before) doesn't help her out at home(always wanting people to be serving him n she does serve very well) except washing his clothes. Meanwhile, my aunt is the bread winner oh; every day she keeps saying she will leave the marriage that she's not scared of leaving afterall her sister left 2 marriages. Most of her friends have left their bad marriages excluding her. one day, I witnessed in her closure when she was praying asking God to change her husband. For my mind before,i been think say she serious to leave.

freecocoa: For a minute I thought you included me in the list of women because of kandi's post which you endorsed and that's cos she quoted me, well we are clear on that now.

Ofcourse people front all the time in every aspect of life so we shouldn't expect it to be different here, just like there are women who up and leave.
you make me laugh. cheesy

freecocoa: Really coogar? You think I'm lying about it too? Anyways, it's your right to think whatever you want.
where did i say you were lying?
cocoa - are you sure i quoted you at all? i said sometimes some women just front in the virtual world while they don't do anything to stop the abuses they suffer in their own relationships?

do you disagree with that?
Family › Re: Should Women Put Pressure On Their Partners To Propose? by coogar: 4:07pm On Oct 02, 2014
shizzle11: It is very wrong! it will depict despair and that is a huge turn-off

I once dated a girl (she was two years older than me) in a relationship that began during our service year Just a few months after passing out she was already talking marriage, at a time i was still flipping through the pages of newspaper, spending a good percentage of the little i had then surfing the net for job openings etc, i almost resented her for her irrationality, cos getting married would barely make a list of my top 5 priorities at that time angryangry
very selfish woman!
yet, if you had gone ahead with her crooked plan, she would leave you without warning when the marriage starts having financial difficulties.
Family › Re: Should Women Put Pressure On Their Partners To Propose? by coogar: 1:47pm On Oct 02, 2014
swagloverss: A guy and a girl have been dating for years and everything seems to be going well. However, five or six years down the line, the girl has never met the guy’s parents. Furthermore, she doesn’t know where their relationship is heading to.

Is it therefore morally right for a woman to pressurise her man into proposing to her? Or better still, is it ethically okay for a woman to ask to know her fate in a relationship?
no, it's not.....
a lady shouldn't pressure her man to propose to her. it reeks of desperation. if he's pressured to propose then he's likely to abscond on the wedding day after realising he's not ready.
Family › Re: Why Would A Lady Remain In An Abusive Relationship? by coogar: 1:37pm On Oct 02, 2014
jennyadims: A word of advice to ladies today before you get married to any Man you should talk to God
please leave God out of this issue. God has given women 5 sensory organs, blessed them with good parents & good examples of role models to follow......God cannot come down & babysit for ladies after giving them these gifts from above.

asking them to turn to God leaves them exposed to various fraudulent spiritualists. a lot of women have been coaxed to marry irresponsible men in the church just because pastors want the women to marry from within.

God only help those who are determined to help themselves. it's a joint effort, ladies should give their all & ask God for the crowning effort. don't just sit down at home expecting God to bring you a prince charming from beverly hills.
