raumdeuter: In Addition to being City, Everton, Sunderland, Chelsea Bayern, Bilbao etc bittchess?nope! for now, only swansea. if we lose to the aforementioned teams after today then we are their bïtches. can't you just follow the simple logic? it's all about the last game - not the history book. |
this premier league is crazy. no home team won a league game so far. i hope this trend extends till later in the evening. i want to camp at arsenal thread when palace nukes their asšes at the emirates. dear lord, give me this day to gloat. ![]() |
debosky: Just passing by.sharrrrrrrrap! •fergie lost his first league game in 12/13 & still won the league. •guardiola lost his first league game as a barca manager and won the treble. raumdeuter: Manure is now Swanseas Biattchi agree.... united are swansea's bïtch. a team is as good as their last game. since we lost to swansea, we are officially their bïtches. that's the way it works & don't also forget you are dortmund's bïtch too..... |
chrisley024:if you are talking about the fat scouser then i just have to laugh. he was the biggest culprit for me today in spite of the goal he scored. for feck's sake, i counted nothing less than 6 passes that rooney attempted to play wide and he sold the player short. how can a player be so poor at making short passes? a striker goes into a game with a ruthless mentality. the moment swansea scored, a player like messi/ronaldo already know they would have to score 2 goals to nullify the one they have conceded. liverpool conceded 50 league goals last season but they had a striker that is ready to outscore his opponents. if they score 4, he is scoring 5. you win games by outscoring your opponents, a striker has to think there's a possibility of his team conceding a goal or two. rooney knew the defence was make-shift, what made him think his solitary goal was enough - especially when it was swansea that scored first? rooney received 32 passes today, only 21 of them went to a team mate. that's just piss-poor! |
chrisley024: Didn't we beat Swansea last season and end up 7th?.that's a nice twist to it. we lost the first game of the season in 12/13 as well & we won the title by 11 points. it's a good omen! ![]() |
chrisley024: The armband is weighing someone down.who is the armband weighing down? giggs or rio? ![]() |
RuuDie: With big money, valuation or rating comes big responsibility. This is why I will continue to berate our 'big names' - Rooney, Mata, RVP etc they are the ones. Even CR7 and Messi (with their near-perfect consistency) get 'verbally assaulted' sometimes on the rare occasions when their teams lose.mata was poor for me today not necessarily because his general play was worthless, but because of those several freekicks he wasted in the first half. not a single one of them troubled swansea's goalie. nitrogen: This boy can go past two to three players, that is what we want at the moment, how many of our so called top shots can do that? He will learn! Just allow him to play week in week out, and tell him to reduce his selfishness level. Simples!going past 2-3 players becomes worthless if the final ball is poor. i would rather have a cross from our half that finds rooney in the box than watch januzaj dribble 11 players and produce a stinking final ball. Btw, his efforts made us score that goal. He won the corner kick for us! Young (our hottest defender) can never go past three players, and he is only good at throwing crosses/passes back to our defenders and keeper.his effort didn't get us the goal! mata delivered the corner, jones headed it towards rooney & rooney scored. if we have to credit januzaj for getting the corner then every player that won us a corner today deserves their credits. |
nitrogen: Lol, for real, young isn't one fantastic player, he is just there, sometimes he tries in that position, especially with is crosses, aside that, he is useless. Valencia too, infact our wingers don tire me, see what that small boy did when he came on for Lingard. We need good players, I swear!what exactly did januzaj do today? you would be surprised he didn't create one single chance today. none of his crosses was completed & he had 4 crossing attempts. all pretty play without an end product makes adnan a poor player. i am sure he gave the ball away more than any other player on the pitch today. you are easily lured by his dribbling & twinkling toes but abeg - adnan had 0% final ball today. RuuDie: Mata was poor simple, no excuses. But if you want me to get excited because Rooney scored one goal, I am sorry I cannot! I simply would be glorifying mediocrity!!!and this is what the rooney fans never seem to get and they will never understand. cantona wasn't great because he was scoring 30 goals per season. he was great cos whenever the general performance was poor, he would come up with a moment of brilliance and win the game. that's the job of a talisman! he has to be more brilliant than the rest of the team. he has to draw inspiration from somewhere, dig his team and snatch victory from the big jaws of defeat. sadly, rooney doesn't do this enough for the hype he gets. |
nitrogen: Leave that boy alone, Ronaldo started this way.ronaldo started that way in an assured fergie's era where we could afford to have passengers in the team. as it is now, united are looking for a new identity. they are not going to find it with passengers in the team. the more we lose, the more we would keep changing managers, formations, players till we get it right. januzaj is a liability we cannot afford right now. some of his football today were good but his final ball today was horrible. a player can dazzle & dribble but if he's lacking end product, he would become a denilson. n0m0705: I Don't have any problem with fellaini coming in but I felt fletcher should have been subbed, and the position he played after coming in did not help our play the defence was exposed and we started playing long ball to no one in particular.well, that is why we must have the best players on the pitch at all times. fergie would start a match with a particular formation - we would concede 2-3 goals & he would keep at his formation & the boys would win. why? cos the players & the fans trust fergie & fergie trusted himself. van gaal needs to trust his players & his formation. he shouldn't be changing it every time we concede a goal. we didn't concede in the first half cos the formation was faulty, we conceded cos jones consented to a brutal aśsrape by bony. |
n0m0705: This loss is totally LVG's fault, we lost it Immediately he brought in fellaini for herrera, and made him push forward leaving only fletcher in the middle, everyone started pumping the ball upward hoping that fellaini can connect. It is not all bad, atleast we get to know that nani is finally finished and that we have a weak midfield.the boy should be sent on loan so immature, so self-centred & he doesn't even know when to showboat or when to get serious and get the job done. he's talented without a doubt but how many touches does he need to pass the ball? herrera was tired when he went out. i thought he was struggling just before he was subbed for fellaini. montelik: Said it would be a long season.excellent post! there's so much sense in what you wrote. swansea simply ceded possession & defended with their back against the wall.....when they had the chance to break, they broke real hard & fast and we were caught. it then suggests more should have been done with the possession we had. the passage of play was too slow & it allowed swansea to reorganise their defence. mata should have done better from the hole, he's clearly better than what he produced this afternoon. |
RuuDie: Scratch Vidal jare... he'd better buy some defenders - Smalling, Jones - smh; Blackett, I can forgive!except that the clueless one had a fit & firing van persie. he's the difference between a united team that would blitz their opponents into oblivion & the fat scouser(a pretender to the throne). if we had van persie today, we would have gotten all the 3 points! MrTA: I'm sorry, as much as I like LvG. The buck stops with him. He put out that team believing it would beat Swansea and he didnt. 100% his fault.he has to put out a team, doesn't he? 9 of his players were either injured or unavailable. blackett & young in the defence, that's not our strongest line-up. they would never have played there if we had evans & shaw fit! |
ElFenomeno1: United need defensive reinforcements...... It is an absolute must and this aint even about the result today.we brought in defensive reinforcements but luke shaw constipated while eating all the doughnuts at greggs! we need cudrado, blind & shaw to lose 30kg of his weight! |
ElFenomeno1: Buying Vidal is one thing.....swansea are the best possession team in the league after arsenal. the formation limited them to 33% of the possession - we had the lion share & yet failed to build anything tangible. swansea just waited and waited and broke when they got the opportunity & it worked for them. injuries aside, we shoulda scored more. van gaal already said buying a player takes him 24 hrs. let's see how this pans out! |
RuuDie: LVG... Welcome to the EPL!at least, buying vidal now is a must! no more patching up & structuring up. all that possession in the first half but nothing to show for it. this isn't LVG's fault. the formation gave us plenty of the ball but we failed to sting swansea with all the possession we had. |
Nihilist: You know he scored though?rooney scored so did siggurdson & ki. they don't even earn £50,000. what's rooney's job if he's not scoring? Tvegas: Jeeeeez i thought this guy is a matured NLder didnt know he isnt weaned from sucking brea.s.t. Sorry Kid i should have shown better understanding.just shut the fück up with your prehistoric reasoning. rooney scored, united lost! every united fan would have united win & de gea scoring a hatrick. |
we can never compete or win a title with rooney as the main man! there i said it. he can only huff & puff but he never gets to the finish line. |
Tvegas: Bro no beef, i simply quoted your words. if rooney is shyte for not scoring, you should be shyte if he scores.a player earning £300k/week? it's now an achievement if he scores? your thalamus & cereberrum have swapped places. swansea leads 2-1.... where's the white pele to dig us out of this loss? nowhere to be found! i know what ronaldo & messi would be doing as we speak. |
Tvegas: I guess this poster can eat shyte after rooney's goal.mumu! so a goal should remove the nonsense display of first half? a £300k/week striker should be giving a ronaldo performance every minute on the pitch. Hugoboi: I think you should take IKILL's advise and shut it about Rooney. We are sick of it too...we? it shall not be well with every member in that association called we. do you think i post so idiöts like you can have erëctions? since when does my posts have to suit you and your other rëtarded clones? you are a consummate rëtard! |
now i am happy... 1-1 |
IKILL: Stop being a dumb fnck, is this the first time ur big eyes are seeing this moniker, or have you suddenly become dyslexicin case you didn't get the memo, you don't pay for my internet subscription, if i what i type rubs you the wrong way, find a transformer to hug while it's raining. wayne rooney is shyte! wayne rooney is shyte! wayne rooney is shyte! you should die after reading that..... |
IKILL: Same old same oldyour father should shut up! we are tired of the bastärds he keeps siring, it's irritating and he's beginning to fool himself. if you have to create a new ID to talk to me, then you and your entire family tree should be offered to the gods as sacrifice. |
capricornian: What is this thing about Young performing decently during pre-season and absent during the season. Its like he does 'Yahoo' on managers just to stay.young has been the best player in this game. •a through-pass that rooney failed to control •there was a cross on the right rooney headed timidly •there was an interception in swansea's first attack •there was a delicious cross that hernandez fouled his marker. find me one other player who's done more than young in the first 45 mins. it seems when the general performance is poor, people like you look for scapegoats to blame! the overrated piece of lard wearing the captain's band has done nothing apart from firing when it's obvious his marker would block the shot. rooney is just too poor when he's not in his real element. his bottom level is worse than bebe's |
phil jones is a püssy! he's just big for nothing with poop for brains. getting räped by bony at the edge of his own box. jones was 100% guilty of that goal! |
blackett & young to destroy swansea.....lemme go punt £10 on paddypower. |
Nihilist: Well Swansea have tried out a few formations in preseason including the aforemention 433, 4231 and 442.formation won't win games, the quality of players on the pitch is the key! The biggest problem with playing 3 defenders is that the two outside centerbacks will occasionally find themselves moving into positions normally occupied by fullbacks.that's why you have workhorses like young & rafael running up & down. then in front of them are fletcher & herrera. that's 7 players when defending & 7 players when attacking. this is why van gaal said the 2 wing-backs are the key to making the formation work. If Dyer and Gomis can occupy the 2 outside centerbacks(Blackett/Jones), then I will back Bony to räpe Smalling over and over again today.no centre forward in england can räpe smalling when he's playing as a centre-half. not even drogba, rooney, suarez & sturridge. his major weakness is when he plays as a fullback or distribution. in a 1 v 1 situation with any centre-forward, smalling will win 10 out of 10 times. Mark my words, you boys will need at least 3 goals to win, because I'm confident that you're not getting a clean sheet.swansea would be mortally destroyed if our attack brings their A-game. mata/kagawa supplying rooney & chicharito. i smell death already. |
AirborneLacer: Sir, that United has got faster and better defs, that United has got a shrewd gaffer who knows his onion, that Swansea are presenting no genuine threat are all topics for another day.he's more than decent. bony is a hard worker & a good finisher. |
Nihilist: You know you talk slack sometimesthe biggest mistake united's opponents would make this season is to use last season's form to judge us. it's a different kettle of fish now - we now have a manager who seems assured & know what he's doing unlike the pathetic moyes. i fully expect all the 3 points this afternoon with an emphatic win. swansea got torched home & away last season even under moyes. they have not been the same since laudrup left so like pietro rico said, there's no threat at all. the days of slow defenders like rio/vidic dropping deep to compensate for their slow pace are well & truly over. p.s. watch out for blackett! |
montelik: Lets all give our gut expectations for the season, no unnecessary caveats and ifs. What do think our season will look like come end of May 2015.2nd is my minimum expectation.....if rooney has one full week to rest then there's 30 league goals in him somewhere. our players would be fresher & the injuries would be greatly reduced. there's no excuse at all not to come second - plus at least one cup competition to boot! we have a monster squad if everyone is fit. all we need now is vidal & 2 central defenders and we are good to go! |
Nihilist: But he has no need to take a pay cut. Why should he take a pay cut? Especially because any club insane enough to go for him will have to offer a very drastic pay cut.if he's told he's not wanted at chelsea, he would leave. if chelsea decides to stop starting him, he would leave. if he leaves, his agent would understand he must take a pay-cut. no club wit of find it difficult to ditch a player they don't want on their books. raumdeuter: Why would this incredible striker need to take a pay cut. This striker you claimed isnt damaged good?he's old now. is torres not 30 now? of course, his wage would reduce. |
Nihilist: Who will pay Torres wage demands?which wage? he would have to take a pay-cut if he's going to another club. he doesn't need to be told he's no longer what he used to be. age + wear & tear have caught up with him. |
Nihilist: We are stuck with Torres. No one else will take him off our hands with his outrageous wage demands, so Mourinho has to keep him motivated with these public votes of confidence.what do you mean by no one else would take him off your hands? even bebe got taken from man utd & you are telling me spain's centre-forward would not be taken? how many strikers have torres' resume in the world? torres isn't stuck, chelsea value his output which aren't necessarily goals but assists, key passes, chance creation, etc. |
raumdeuter: FOr there to be a sale there must be a buyer. No club would buy Torres, He is damaged goods.mourinho: "During [his] period at the club he has had moments, some of them important moments, He works hard for the team and brings things to the team. He is contracted and a good professional. Yes, he's in my plans, Torres is a good player. I keep saying the same - Fernando is not the kind of player that with half a chance, he scores a goal. He's not the kind of guy that's going to score goal after goal. But the way he works, the way he moves, the work he contributes for the team... he is a player that I like, a player that the club respects and we are happy to have him next season, no problem." ----------- ----------- dayo, i do not see anything remotely resembling damaged goods when jose was asked about torres' future at chelsea. it seems the club values him more than the nonsense we get to read on nairaland. |
