efosanice: but honestly, i don't people threaten to kill gays in Nigeria, just saying.
it's against the law in nigeria. the culture and the religion of most nigerians abhor the act! it has no place in nigeria. we have a lot of problems on our hands already. western civilization should not force homoeroticism in nigeria. we have enough to deal with already.

johnkent: Interesting. I'm guessing he also came on National TV in Nigeria because he wanted to be killed in Nigeria?
Get your facts straight.
after becoming a celebrity? who would have him killed? there must be something wrong with your logic process.

johnkent: And there's a reason why you wouldn't get into a polygamous relationship. Because you are a smart, education, strong black woman. Only if we had more women like you. There's absolutely no reason in this modern world that we live in for a woman to be in such a relationship. Polygamy is a way of degrading women and way to see them more as a commodity than an actual human that they are. I'm a guy but I feel very strongly about women's rights and Gay rights if you have't figured that out yet.
this is the most idiotic comment ever typed on this forum. i doubt any other comment would rival this for a long long time. polygamy degrades women? oh my gosh!

shymexx: Phaggots again?

We live in a world of double standards - they stay forcing this inane foreign homoerotic lifestyle on African/black people... Yet the same people think polygamy(which is African) is barbaric...

I'm not against phaggots... however, if you want Africans to legalise homoeroticism(which is foreign) - why not legalise polygamy in the Western world for Africans as well?

This phaggot needs to stay in London and stay getting his butt ripped apart over here, don't go over to AFrica... The continent has enough problems already and I'm sure homoeroticism is the last thing they want to start dealing with now... undecided
he's a faggöt of circumstance!
the poor lad is just using this angle to escape deportation! uk authorities already know faggöts are prosecuted in nigeria.....so anyone claiming to be one would be protected. I don't believe this dude one jot!
@coogar, everybody deserves a chance at life, even an unwanted baby.
only if the parents can take care of that baby.
without adequate care, there's high possibility that mother and child will die in the labour room.
Bottom line is people have to start taking responsibility when it comes to issues like this. I've taken precautions all my life and never risked it not even once. Not because I enjoy using condoms but I was reasonable enough to take precautions so if you're careless enough to let it slip when there are several options you could have taken as a woman so why should you resort to abortion.

That's very selfish and plain stup*d to me.
the mistake has been already made!
they have an unwanted baby - they either abort it now or they proceed with the process till the unwanted baby is born. who is going to take care of the child? lack of care can also kill the child after birth plus countless of untold sufferings. people who cannot afford to take care of kids should not have kids.

mbulela: i actually felt it was shyte last season too. this season, as much as 6 teams are worthy of relegation. the fact that Arsenal are still within a shout of Europe is shameful. Don't even get me started on Liverpool. However, we have been head and shoulder above the rest but i still feel the quality of the league has been poor for a few years.
the league is quality!
what happened this season is the effect of the bottom 12 catching up with the top teams. man utd are haunted with the hurt of losing the title in the last minute of last season so their pain is fresh. lack of stability screwed chelsea up. arsenal need to spend money and spurs are where they should be. man city simply lost the motivation. being successful is the easiest part, maintaining the success is another matter entirely. liverpool are just - liverpool!
The fact that you carry it in your womb doesn't give you the right to end it except by accident.

So what do you call it when you terminate and abruptly end a helpless baby's life?
murder = unlawful killing of a human by another human with malice aforethought.

a foetus is not a human being. life begins when a foetus passes through the birth canal and takes it's first breath. the 5 elements in my definition have to be satisfied before any incident can qualify as murder.

1) unlawful
2) killing
3) of a human being
4) by another human being
5) with malice afterthought.

in this case, number 3 isn't satisfied cos a foetus is not a person.

Andre Uweh: PRIVATE FIRMS HAVE ALL TRIED TO SAVE THE LEAGUE BUT WITHOUT SUCCESS.
Private clubs in the past: Nigerlux, Nasco jets, DIC Bees (ranchers bees), VASCO DA GAGAMA, Exide, Rubber board, ACB, NEPA, etc.
The most important thing to happen to the league will be an improved TV coverage. TV rights brings a lot of money to clubs but in our league, very little or nothing comes in from Tv.
Under Orji Uzor Kalu, Enyimba partnered so many companies abroad, gate fees increased, deaf and dunb hired to man the gates yet the club operated at a loss.
The number one way forward is to package our league and to be sold out. I mean package a better league.
wish i am a billionaire....
its about calling the nfa and top clubs to a round table - every club must have it's own stadium with a standard capacity. then, get the TV stations involved. hire foreign football analysts and package the product like sky did the premier league.

biolabee: Fair enough, some names have been give already to the parent or immediately the child comes, the dad calls his dad to relay the good news and get blessing; At times a name can be given then
but that is irrelevant here as the issue is about the guy and his MIL
the MIL is overbearing!
let's even agree she was really angry she wasn't told about the pregnancy, the joy of a newborn should override her grudges. if we are sworn enemies and you tell me you just had a newborn, i would bury the hatchet straight up. nothing else matters anymore.

I understand your point but I feel he should work it out with her to ensure peace reigns
For byvan saying google n anybodi can help, if the man chases her out today where will she go
Ish
if he sends her packing, she can stay on her own abeg!
are you aware there are women with no mothers on this planet and they cope very well? if a mother does not want the happiness of her daughter then the daughter should cut her off.
Sports › Re: Shooting Stars Of Ibadan (Oluyole Warriors) Fan Thread! by coogar: 2:03am On Mar 19, 2013
Andre Uweh: One of the problems is poor coverage. The TV companies are so poor that they can not show better replays, slow motions, show goals, kicks from different angles. Stadiums are so empty and match commentators are so poor.
Watch a Nigerian team when they are playing in north Africa or in South Africa, you wont believe it.
then what are the private firms doing about that? nigeria needs a murdoch. we have the population and the passion for the game.

biolabee: Dude, why is it hilarious or a joke?
Paternal grandfather means the father of the father

A child here typically has two names: first and middle
The childs father gives one and the grandpa gives another

Are you saying in the west, grandparents have never named children??
I never mentioned fatherinlaw
i doubt my dad would have a say. the baby's name must be given immediately after birth to process the child's birth registration and certificate. my dad won't be there then so the names shall be the sole decision of myself and my wife.

Andre Uweh: Because of the inability of the then NFA to turn the league as a pro league. There were series of meetings between NFA boss the-Obakpolor, Chief Abiola, John Mastroudes of Leventis, Iwuanyanwu and Chief Osakwe of flash. The aim was to press for a pro league, but to no avail.
Abiola and Leventis felt they were making to much loses and can not continue. A 1987, was a sad year in Nigerian football.
Imagine in Spain, Barcelona and Madrid being disbanded.
nfa have always been a useless organisation - i am not surprised. they just killed the soul of 2 good clubs. 90% of the green eagles players then were hand picked from those 2 clubs(leventis and abiola). it's like barcelona and real madrid or celtic and rangers!

Andre Uweh: When you are off shore, it is difficult to follow the league because it is not shown in any station. AIT do sometimes show league goals on Saturdays. (You may subscribe to Ait int on sky 183). Its a pity that Ben TV will broadcast Ghana league matches instead of Nigeria's own. I wasn't following 3sc when they were in the lower league.
i cannot watch those games again o
in the last 10 yrs now, watching any nigerian football turns my stomach. i don't know if it's the quality of the european leagues that has spoilt me or nigerian football in general has regressed. there's no pattern, no coherence, no tactical plan or even formation. i try to watch AIT/BEN on sky every saturday and the football is nothing to write home about. i change the channel within 5 mins. i used to enjoy them way back but not anymore.

rangers have never relegated o - top club. i always give them kudos for that. leventis never relegated too. they worked their way to the top before they were disbanded. their promotion was rapid!

Andre Uweh: In 1987,they got to semi finals of African club championship now champions league. Probably, would have later won it if not for the disbandment.
What a great team.
why were they disbanded sef?
Sports › Re: Shooting Stars Of Ibadan (Oluyole Warriors) Fan Thread! by coogar: 12:49am On Mar 19, 2013
Andre Uweh: Till thisday, Leventis remains the greatest Nigerian team I saw when growing up. This team won the FA cup in 1984 while in Div 3. They won the div 3 team without losing a match in 1984. In 1985, now promoted to div 2, won the league. In 1986, now in div 1, also won the league.
In 1987, the defended their league title.
but they never won anything on the continent, did they? i can't remember though. however, they had the man utd never say die attitude: the winning character!
Sports › Re: Shooting Stars Of Ibadan (Oluyole Warriors) Fan Thread! by coogar: 12:37am On Mar 19, 2013
Andre Uweh: And the keeper for Abiola that day, Raymond King should have parried that ball over the bar.
Anyway, Abiola later won the challenge cup in 1997.
While Abiola and Leventis lasted, Iwuanyanwu never won the FA Cup as well as the league. They were so close in 86 when Bummi Adigun equalized for Leventis at the semi finals. Before then, Chike Arisa had put Nationale ahead with 15 minutes to go.
The match went into penalties.
Leventis scored 5 of their spot kicks and nationale's Bengy Nzeakor lost his.
Nationale first won it in 1988 when they beat flash flamingoes 3 nil at Adamashingba.
haba - nothing raymond king could do.
he was off his line and he dived at full stretch.....what was toyin ayinla thinking from that distance? although ekarika was pressing ayinla and ayinla from more than 20 yards just looped the most bizarre back pass ever over his goalie. it was so hilarious that a goal like that would decide the final of an epic battle.

Andre Uweh: The challenge cup matches were great. I remember Toyin Ayinla scoring an own goal in the final of 86 between Leventis and Abiola Babes. Leventis went ahead to win it after they had won the league. They were double champions that year.
A year before then, Abiola babes won it in a long penalty shoot out against BCC LIONS. Abiola went ahead with Dahiru Sadi with 10 mins. Dominic Iorfa equalised late in the game.
Good old days.
toyin ayinla's back pass.... hahahahaha, i think he was bribed. to play a looping back pass from that distance and score should have been investigated. grin
