my point in the comparison to scandinavians is this:
in Nigeria, the price a woman pays for being free is to be single or a single mother.
whereas in scandinavian countries, a woman can be married and still have a husband who shares the same idea of gender equality. men will cook and even raise the kids unlike in nigeria where that is supposed to be a woman's job.
in nigeria, it's more likely to be a either/or situation rather than a balanced situation. although things are rapidly changing. thank God for that.

of course, men are physically/mentally stronger to deal with such situations. historical facts means shyte if we don't know the number of male/female passengers on board. if there were 800 men and 200 women on a ship and 500 people survive the wreck, even if all the women survive, there would still be more male survivors....so counting the number of survivors without knowing how many male/female got on board in the first place is misleading!

the link you posted must have been penned by a complete twit. we need to know how many men and women that were on board before the shipwreck. we cannot just count the number of survivors and use it as a yardstick. were there equal number of men and women on the ships analysed for there to be a reasonable conclusion that men survive wrecks than women? i await your response.....

the links you continue to provide don't say much either. titanic took time to sink which allowed some sort of planning and organization. some shipwrecks are sudden where strength and the ability to swim would determine who survives. since men are generally stronger(#coughs#) than women, it's not unusual that men would survive such ordeals than women.
