till date, madrid fans blame their champions league failure in the last 10 yrs on makelele's transfer to chelsea. under mourinho - makelele became an immovable object....he sits just in front of his back four and there's no way any striker is getting past him. the monent chelsea score before their opponents, it's game over! mourinho is not ready for any fantasy football - 3 points was the key!!! chelsea were lauded for their mean defence then than any attacking intent.......it was all about the defensive action: petr cech's cat saves - john terry's clearing headers and makelele's precision tackles!

For someone to say Lampard - the best Chelski player in a generation - hasn't been as influential or instrumental to the midfield play of Chelski is incredible.
