redsun: He is an animal.Capitalism as a whole was on the verge of total collaspe when Obama took over,he revived it it,and still till this moment making great humane efforts to patch it up.

That america is on downward trend is not the fault of Obama, but the greed of animals romney who likes to take ir all at the expence of the weaklings.Aswell as the emergence of relatively cheap, affordable amd manageable super powers like china, india nad even brazil that can compete on faire grounds.

Empire rises and falls, and america seems to have outlived its gloryThe only way out is for the people to adjust and learn to live minimally, share with one another and thrive for a more peaceful world, instead wars and turbulent world that tyrants like romney will like to see reign.
romney wants to spend more on the defence - he wants the number of warships to quadruple! come to think of it - maybe america would come to our aid to get rid of boko haram!

obama gave gadaffi enough room to run for his life but he was too pompous. the republicans would have sent the marines months earlier to fish him out or nuke him in his palace.

I dread to think what would have happened in 2008 had the White voters voted overwhelming for Mc Cain like the Blacks did for Obama.

He is most certainly not going screw the States over. He has their Best interest at heart.
Even If he did, he definitely can't be anyworse than OBAMA.

thelastPope: If you are not ignorant, it would have occured to you that without the population, the airport and seaport will be useless and the government will have to move them to places that have more population. Some of you sound so unintelligent. The population is an opportunity, not a problem. But tribalism and lack of foresight will not allow you to see it
you are technically the dullest poster on this forum....
so government would move seaports and airports to where exactly? what a daft thing to say? lagos have seaports because of the atlantic ocean not because of the population - you twerp......would the government move the ocean to abuja too or to zamfara?

bashr8: hahahha indeed you know them very well. i always tell nairaland yorubas to think before they type. if they start kicking out the poor or the nuisance or even people that dont contribute to developement of lagos, trust me it will start with yorubas.
that's a very daft claim - it would start with everyone!
indiscipline is not tribal-based. disregarding simple laws is not tribal-based. i dunno the intelligent quotient of most of you bigots but i would wager my £5 that your IQ is lower than your shoe size!

think before you type, as for fashola if he cant handle the heat of running lagos he should resign and let someone else try and stop taking the cheap cowardly approach of blaming people that came from the village. the revenue he collects comes from federal govt who collects them from all the states in the country .
he has been handling it for a while now and he has done very well considering the difficulty he faces in a state with such a staggering population! it's difficult enough providing basic amenities in lagos state - total disregard of law and order would just tip the scale and the governor wants residents to act accordingly!

i dont know why nigerian politicians are dumb. without that crowd lagos will not be what it is today. put trains , connecting roads and flyover , water ways to enhance transportation. collect fines from thos that disobey traffic and jail those that commit crime, all na revenue.
the crowd contribute nothing to lagos - in fact, they strangulate the city! imagine what lagos would be like if there were less than 3 million people inhabiting the state.....the state is rich enough to cater for itself......there are seaports and airports - there are foreign investors everywhere you look - so what exactly is the mammoth crowd contributing to the state? how was lagos doing before the mass migration?

You have 3 kids from different women and you have abandoned them with their mums while you junket around drinking small stout in every beer parlour. Obesere is your favourite artist. No one does ethnic profiling in civilized countries of the world again. Only in places like somalia and afghan will you see such things. Very sad!
i am not even sure you understand english language - where exactly did fashola mention tribal profiling? he said people who don't want to respect traffic laws should go back to their villages - he was referring to nigerians from the other 35 states(including the yoruba people)..........why are you reading meanings to a harmless statement? are you scared you might lose the hamlet that took you 35 yrs to build?

Who knows, they could get kicked out in 20 years grin
i refuse to believe this - sold all their lands or rented them out?

And Okoya (eleganza) is very well-confirmed broke. Owing several banks for decades in fact. Eleganza has closed down since the late 90s. Even the ball-point ben business has tanked. Only a matter of time for our man grin
i refuse to believe eleganza is broke too - he's a board of director in top conglomerates in nigeria - every annual general meeting means this dude nets about 30 million bucks....multiply that by the number of companies he bosses and you would have a brief idea on how these boys are smiling.........

ABU GEORGE: This was d same thing i was tellin my guy in canada dat our govt are porous, imagine governor makin such comment and here are u people supportin rubbish. Wat is tribe, naija tribe will destroy so many things if u people dont go and learn to be united. Yoruba are u people clean than igbo, lagos is a no man's land but d way our govt are inflictin pains on d poor is very bad, after una go say president jonathan no good, wat makes d difference between both. For governor to make dis utterance is very wrong. All fingers are not equal, remember we all travel from our village to go out and seek for greener pasture. Our govt nowadays are not doing or helpin d people
what do you mean by lagos is a no man's land? only illiterates talk that way.....go to abuja, a territory carved out of few states and say its a no man's land. a state with a governor and commissioners plus a traditional ruler is a no man's land? you mean lagos does not have it's own indigenous people and some undesirables are making life difficult for the sons of the soil? don't say this in public abeg, you could get punched in the face......

for feck's sake - what is the meaning of lagos is no man's land?
Politics › Re: Fashola: Stay In Your Village If You Cant Obey Our Traffic Law by coogar: 12:18am On Nov 07, 2012
shymexx: Do you honestly think the same Nigerians crying about toll fees would pay congestion charges? grin

Nigerians don't like paying for anything!
they would pay up - they have been paying the lekki tolls cheerfully....the ones who cannot cope have since moved out of there......places like lagos should be far more expensive to stay than the other parts of nigeria!

AjanleKoko: That scenario would actually be interesting sha.
Imagine if all of the poor non-Lagosians had to flee Lagos due to costs. Guess what would happen grin
that's the way it is - go to belgravia or kessington, the russian mob, the arabs, the bourgeois have taken over and the real englishmen have been forced to move to essex and the countryside......

Those of us non-indigenes who are well-off enough to remain here, who own businesses and hold down top jobs, who own property in the niche areas of Lagos, would have to hire the Isale-Eko people as our drivers, cooks, maids, security guards, etc. Since our poor fellow non-indigenes woulda had to relocate. I mean, the hired help has to come from somewhere, no? And the poor inhabitants of Jankara, Ereko, Sandgrouse, etc, have to earn a living. Fashola will likely not put them on a welfare system, or will he? cool
let them work for the rich people - it would inspire them to train their own kids to hold down good jobs in the future as well. hiring those people would be expensive as well - artisan jobs are pricey in the developed world so the relationship would be perfectly symbiotic........if you cannot afford it, paint your house yourself - what the west refer to as DIY!

Apart from the odd Da Rocha, Fernandez, Shitta-Bey, and worreva, there are very few well-off Lagos indigenes. So, shall we go figure? grin
there are plenty of them - they are just relatively unknown. the ojoras, eleganzas, onirus, etc are well to do lagosians.......someway somehow, the state government would find a balance..........lagos would become florida where citizens of the other states would save up 2 yrs wages so they can visit for a week.......
Politics › Re: Fashola: Stay In Your Village If You Cant Obey Our Traffic Law by coogar: 12:03am On Nov 07, 2012
shymexx: The population of Lagos should be more than 16million... Lagos would need more than 200,000 police officers to able to curb crime and for effective policing to happen in that place lol... However, can the state afford the wages of 200,000 police officers? Perhaps, that's why he's trying his best possible to make the place less attractive to scroungers...
someone even said it could be up to 18 million......

London is doing the same in a more subtle way and the place is not even as congested as Lagos...
thank you very much.....
that's the example fashola should follow - the whole lagos island should be a congestion zone.....anyone driving to those places during the day should pay........if fashola makes lagos too expensive to reside in, the undesirables would soon give up and flee to their villages!

dabrake: i agree, lagos carry first for beijing and tokyo head
http://www.citymayors.com/statistics/largest-cities-density-125.html

but to say lagos is the most populated region in the worldhuh
http://www.citymayors.com/statistics/largest-cities-population-125.html
we both know the data up there is full of lies - they had lagos listed as 8 million population! lagos has about 18 million people......if you do the math with the small land size then lagos should be the most populated area on the planet!
Politics › Re: Fashola: Stay In Your Village If You Cant Obey Our Traffic Law by coogar: 11:49pm On Nov 06, 2012
shymexx: Bwahahahahahahahaha

Lagos used to be beautiful, yo!!

Act like the REAL Lagosians, or get shipped back in a slave ship like Kinta Kunte - you know my people have the coastline on lock down... And it has been like that since slavery.... grin

Just messing with Nigerians!! Bwahahahahaha
lagos is a shyte-hole now - i dunno how there can be effective policing in that state with 16 million heads....i doubt there are up to 20,000 police officers in lagos and we expect the state to be crime free?

dabrake: If the basic amenities can't go round, is it the masses fault. beijing and tokyo are far more populated and congested than the lagoon state yet, they are able to cater for the people's need. using that as an excuse to drive non indigenes is akin to biting the fingers feeding the state.
beijing and tokyo are more congested than lagos? please furnish me with their population density.....there's no region more populated than lagos in the solar system! that there are 16 million people in lagos state is very abnormal - half of the state is covered by water and yet the state is the most populated in the whole of west africa! i do not see how lagos state government can cater for 16 million people - even obama would struggle to govern lagos with the number of people trooping in everyday....
Politics › Re: Fashola: Stay In Your Village If You Cant Obey Our Traffic Law by coogar: 11:37pm On Nov 06, 2012
skyfall: I agree with you. Lagos needs to start controlling its population. It can be done.
of course it can -
he should introduce lagos state ID cards with full biometrics.....it's an opportunity for lagos state government to determine the population of the people in the state - it's another way of getting some 15 million finger prints into the central database to help in identifying criminals......
Politics › Re: Fashola: Stay In Your Village If You Cant Obey Our Traffic Law by coogar: 11:27pm On Nov 06, 2012
Fatdon: www.channelstv.com/home/2012/11/06/stay-in-your-village-if-you-cant-obey-our-traffic-law-fashola/
i am sure fashola has been reading my comments on nairaland - the man is too lenient, if he ever makes me his adviser, i would turn lagos to malibu within 6 months with stringent laws that would drive away the undesirables! lagos is too crowded - everyone wants to stay in lagos and the basic amenities cannot cope with the teeming population! decongesting lagos state is far more effective than constructing 900 connecting roads.....

jidegirl12: @ cooger kids needs a father figure at home, in their lives most especially male kids... It's unfortunate the father has to work solely around the clock to cater for the whole family but at a certain stage in a kid's life , both parents have a role to play in kids life.
of course, kids need a father figure in their lives....
it's not like this man doesn't come home at all - it's just that he's often away from home but he fends for his kids......which is the most important thing here!

Things are changing now and hopefully people will get the grip that both parents must work to support the family so they can have time to attend to these kids....a very tired man will not listen to a child's school work
and that's why 70s and 80s even 90s born kids has the same story of a violent father .
the responsibility fell solely on the wife since she agreed to be a housewife - the least she could do is to tend the nest and train the kids - she has no 9-5 job to distract her so how did the kids become rotten under her watch?
