Caleb University is one of the private university located in Imota, Lagos Nigeri The school is renowned for its cleanliness and high academic taste.

It is also known to be really strict with its students when it came to paying attention to rules and regulations...

Recently the university caused a stir after employing a certain stringent measure to make sure that students complied with a law that says male students must wear a low hair cut within the campus premises.


According to a student who shared the story, barbers were seen stationed at the school gate to make sure that all students who came back with grown hair, cut their hair before entering the school. Lol

However, social media users have found the development irritating with many people accusing Caleb University of being a “glorified secondary school”.

I have been a Christian all my life but fortunately or unfortunately in November 2015, I decided to get more serious with my relationship with Christ. I immersed myself in all things of Christ. Fasting during the day and only listening to my bible app on long journeys to and fro my workplace. During breaks at work, I'd run to the bathroom, get on my knees with my hands sometimes in the air, praying, praying and praying. Praying to turn a new leaf, praying for insight and guidance in this new path, praying for forgiveness, praying to receive the Holy Spirit, praying to be heard, praying to transition to a true child of God a disciple of Christ.

Let me tell you what happened to me. I started to uncover codes in the Bible. I realized the Old Testament was an allegory of the New Testament. A lot of revelations about Christ being the messiah was deeply coded in the Old Testament. I downloaded several versions and translations of the Bible for deeper understanding of the word. If you read carefully, Moses parting of the sea was done using the sign of the cross, the blood marks on the entrance of the homes of the Jews in Exodus was also done using the cross sign. So many subtle revelations of Christ is deeply encoded in so many parts of the Old Testament. But they come allegorized. The book of Revelations I realized is a summary of all the major stories of the Bible spanning both Old and New Testament and is basically the story of the elect and the elect only. The beatitudes are to the elect of God and them only. A lot of Solomon and other prophets’ soliloquies were in reference to the burdens, pains and sorrows of the elect whom will be appointed to serve Christ selflessly and completely, as the journey is not likely to be a bed of roses. Paul spoke more about this group of disciples.

These revelations continued, until one day on my way home listening to Paul as usual, I heard a statement in the book of Hebrews about the repercussions of receiving the Holy Spirit and then going back to sin. Those words from Paul resonated so well with me and It was clear that I had received some kind of clarity, guidance particularly with uncovering truths in the Bible.
It meant that If I slipped, just a pinch, I was doomed. I panicked because at the time I believed I had been living what I can only describe as a purist but not perfectly, I couldn't guarantee I would be in this repentant state forever, at all times. It hit me, then fear started to creep in.
What followed were a series of fearful and sleepless nights. I lost a ton of weight but continued to hold on to the Word but this time in great fear.

Eventually I had had enough. Fear I figured is the great energy driving this force, it is the overriding fuel of the religious path. Without it the religion can't stand. So I quit. Quitting was certainly not a walk in the park. Then the veil was unveiled!

You see once you get to this stage in your journey either of two things happen. You become psychotic and start believing witches or the devil or some relative is out to get you. Either that or you start to see the cheer evil in the acts penned in the "holy book". The goriness of the blood which you supposedly soak yourself in for safety, the tribalism and racism purported by a particular sect, the hot hell fire etc these are not acts of a God ingrained in Love. I attained freedom at last.

I now follow the “religion” of love your neighbor as yourself, empathy and compassion for all. The religion of pointing out the ills and sins of others is one of pure hypocrisy. The day you realize you are not any different from the so called sinners (gays, prostitutes, bobrisky) you berate and condemn to hell, that is the day your veil would be removed. You don't even have to denounce any religion, just try love and abore judgements.

One last thing I learnt is as long as you live under the laws of this planet, be careful as what you wish for others, you have unknowingly wished for yourself. If you wish hell and misery for others, you unknowingly get hell and misery yourself. If you wish love and health to your fellow man, the universe rewards you same.

. My dear yes some christians are not worthy of that name as they criticise,condemn and hate more than they love,care and help. My advice for u is to get a 'rhapsody of realities' book or any other faith teaching book or CD from Pastor Chris. I promise u u'r whole new conception of christianity will change. U'll see that christianity is more than pple call it. It's more than a religion. Pls do as i said and i promise u,if u wholeheartedly read it and allow the holy spirit to teach u,u'll see that i'm right and that Jesus loves u a lot than u can imagine. Read it and u'll be put on the right path,just as i am.

I remember during my NYSC in Kogi State, graduates(corps members) from this University were very rude, rascal, & rugged. Their girls are club babes & were very stubborn. They like sex too much. I always wonder how can a private unniversity graduates, made up of mostly rich men children behave like this

Hello everyone, I have a toxic bullying adult child that all he does is to curse and threaten ,he is 37 years old and still lives with me and my husband, he has gone in and out of schools and does not have a form of tertiary education despite the fact that the father and I have, he hit his father about 2 different times before while living with us and still lives with us, he does not have any job, and does not want to get one, all he does is sells hemp and smoke too, My 2 other children are doing very well of very good professions and highly responsible, I wont say I've been an enabler,We raised his other siblings I think he just wants to be wayward and be influenced badly.I am in my sixties and just want to live the rest of my life in peace , the father has decided to leave him without any inheritance , I have noticed all he does is harass and threaten helpless people like the aged parents and younger children , good advice is highly appreciated

. One problem with most nigerian parents is that when they see their children pick up new attitudes they become too quick to judge and blame them. Madame its obvious ur son is emotionally disturbed due to past events in his life. That's the problem with most 'bullies' like u called him. I'm sure he wasnt all like that. Think very well,there must be smtn one of u in ur family if not all of u did directly or indirectly. 4gt pple telling u to do away with him cos he's 37. Like it or not he's stl dat sweet boy u gave birth to after 9 months. Leave his age out. We are all the same age inside. Right now he must be feeling totally left out by u guys and it aint helping matters. Very soon he'll get tired of unleashing his anger on pple and might very well commit suicide. U need to think bacback or better still take the bold step and talk to himas his mom. U'r stl his mom and he might be resistant as 1st but keep on trying with patience and hope. that's if u really want him to change. Take my advice,u wont regret it.
