When the right course is given the wrong people to manage, wrong outcome will always surface.

Neither the Ijaw touts nor the OPC touts were eligible for guiding our pipeline in the first instance, but the contract was clueslessly and selflessly awarded to them at the detriment of the populace.

What happened to our constitutional security operatives?

Indeed! There was a country. Chinua Achebe was very right

PhonesRe: Ranking Of Networks that Zaps Data The Most, From Heighest To Lowest by COOLDK(m): 5:49pm On Apr 22, 2015
eddyland:
Amongst the 4 major network providers in the country of MTN, Airtel, Glo and Etisalat, here is the ranking of the network that consumes most data from the highest to the lowest so that you will be fully aware when planning to subscribe to any of their internet plans.

1. Number one in the list is Airtel- airtel zaps data like hell, I am sure they are using malfunctioned calculator to calculate data rate

2. Second in the list is Etisalat - I don't know if it is because the network is fast so the zaps data as fast as their network, but not up to Airtel the king zappers.

3. Glo data actually do not zap, the data deduction is quite normal but just be ready for sharp network disappearance at any time whenever you are making use of glo.

4. MTN is the least of them, they don't zaps data at all, they use proper working data calculator to calculate data consumption rate and hence taking the spot for the least data zappers.

Source: http://highteknology..com/2015/04/hierarchical-ranking-of-networks-that.html
OP have you used MTN on BB 10 before, that is when you will know MTN is the greatest thief.
Giving you 1.5gig data bundle and pegging 600MB for BBM alone. once the remaining 900MB is exhausted you wont have access to data except ur BBM alone.
How many data is BBM consuming? Isnt that a day light robbery

RomanceYour Pain! by COOLDK(op): 12:40pm On Apr 17, 2015
Yes! We've all felt pain in one situation or the other
You only felt no pain if you are not a human
When I said “Pain”, I don’t mean no pain from beating, physical injury or accident.
When I said “Pain”, I mean pain of the mind (Emotional Pain)
Yes! Most of us have been here (arising from career, relationship, family, death; and host of others that come to mind)
What have you made of your Pain? (Does your pain Make or Mar you?)
It all depend on your emotional mindset.
I understand our emotional stability varies but we all have that untapped inner strength
We all can be emotionally great
We all can turn our Pains around and make something meaningful outta it (and just laugh the past off)

Many run away from their pain forgetting that the more you ran away from it, the more it chases and hunt you
Your Pain will never be conquered by running
Your Pain will only be conquered by facing it (the best way to avoid a problem is by solving it)
Your Pain is only going to be part of your past and a history to your success
There can never be no success without Pain (I stand to be corrected)
Remember! What you conceal in your mind defines who You are, and You will never be You if you don’t work to be You (Pain is inevitable while working hard to be you)
Learn to embrace your pain! (And take your sense with you)
And when embracing your Pain, always remember that “the biggest enemy to deal with is yourself”
You are your worst enemy and You are your greatest friend
If there ain't no enemy within (Your mind set), the enemy outside can’t do you no harm
You are your weakness and You are your strength (Simply put, You are your All in All)

Remember again! You've got no excuse to fail and You've got all reasons to be great
When the Pain of life knocks you down, Reach out to your inner mind; draw some inspiration and get up!
You can and will always get up if only you believed you can.
You have to start saying No! to the wrong perception of your Pain
You have to start saying YES! To your dreams and aspirations
You got to be there one day but You will never be there if you give Up (cos of your Pain)
Let you Pain push you from where you are to where you wanted to be
Let your Pain make you
Let your Pain push you to your greatness
Don’t Give Up! You can always toy with your Pain

“Outstanding success lies at the end of series of setbacks, too often we give up while we are almost there”

PoliticsRe: Buhari Never Promised APC To Make Naira Equal To Dollar – APC by COOLDK(m): 3:21pm On Apr 16, 2015
obailala:
Why are GEJ/PDP supporters just dull to a fault?

From all the links above, can anyone of you please point out where Buhari said he would make N1 = $1. Now I did not ask you to post a video of an android reading a statement written by a PDP Vanguard journalist.

Buhari was alleged to have made the statement in full public glare in Owerri yet not a single video or audio evidence exists; in fact the only person who heard this melody was a sick Vanguard journalist.

Even though the sick Vanguard journalist mischievously put up this misleading title for his story, he was gracious enough to put the ACTUAL statement of Buhari in quote;

“It is sad that the value of the naira has dropped to more than N230 to one dollar; this does not speak well for the nation’s economy,’’

Of course the PDP and GEJ supporters in their shallowness chose to go with the mischievous and misleading title even as they totally avoided the content of the report.
God bless you. Just wanted to highlight out Buhari's comment in the article before I read your comment.
I just wondered how intelligent and educated men are been confused all in the name of politics.
PoliticsRe: Arch. Darius Dickson Ishaku Of PDP Emerge Governor Elect Of Taraba State by COOLDK(m): 5:38pm On Apr 13, 2015
I have always had a feeling that the table might be turned around contrary to the winning rumor of that APC woman.
In such a semi-Hausa state, woman wont be allowed to preside over them.

May be the first female elected governor can emerge in the East or West sa (subsequent election)
PoliticsRe: Finally APC Wins Plateau State - Daily Trust by COOLDK(m): 7:00am On Apr 13, 2015
Like seriously, it will be hard for PDP to come back to create a formidable opposition in Nigeria politics.

I foresee mergers of more parties to form a new formidable party in the next election (just like APC).

Financially, Power related, relevance and uniqueness: PDP is gone. (You don't wash your stinking pants outside and claim to your neighbors you are clean).

PDP is gone from the moment they held their national convention in Abuja and allow that factional group to stand.

Please OP, endeavor to make proper research before posting any thing.

Point of correction, it wasn't Peter Obi that was impeached.
You should be the one making your investigation dude. Peter Obi was impeached and his female deputy sworn in as the governor.
Later Obi seeks court redress and won his mandate back.

Don't be quick to argue without ascertaining the fact.

Thank you

new2020:
Very shameless yoruba man. Lagos maybe in SW however very different from Osun, Ondo, Oyo, Oyo, Ogun and Ekiti in that 80% of taxes and duties paid into its coffers are by non yorubas...keep that in mind. When next you see Fashola commissioning a project...say big thank you to the non yorubas who are funding it through their taxes and duties. You think Lagos can function without them? You people should be very careful how carelessly you speak. Also say big thank you to the Niger Delta for your behemoth monthly allocation...you think you can survive without this handout by generous Niger Delta people? Speaking as a Niger Deltan, the day you Yoruba will marginalize any non yoruba in Lagos, be prepared to lose your federal monthly allocation and non payment of taxes and duties by non Yorubas...let's see how you will survive. You think Lagos would have attained its current economic and social status without nom yorubas and federal character? You want one Nigeria, you must abide by every law that glues us as Nigerians.
It only take intelligence to know that you pay your tax where you work.

If the non-Yorubas doesn't want to pay their taxes, then let them work outside Lagos and remit their tax where ever they worked.

Lagos will always excel no matter what; there ain't nothing you can do about that.

Though Buhari is the winner and I also support wind of Change,
My Unreserved Congratulation is to GEJ; a true State man gone down in Nigeria's history book. It now clearly shows that he has a good heart but surrounded himself by the Bad people whom due to their self interest painted GEJ black in the sight of the masses.

KoloOyinbo:
Well not being Nigerian I cant vote but IF I was I would vote for neither!

Do you guys want to know what the rest of the world thinks?

NOW THIS IS ONLY PARTIAL AND FROM AN OUTSIDERS PERSPECTIVE but an outsider who has been coming to Naija for 15 years.

I know I will not be attacked by both sides but please remember that I am only letting you know the PERCEPTION (right of wrong) that the world has.

1) Jonathan
THE GOOD - He seems to have said the right things about stopping corruption.
He seems to have done good economically in a very difficult time for all countries.

THE BAD - He has failed to crack down on some very prominent examples of corruption.
When the Chibok girls were kidnapped he was nowhere to be seen until his next appearance going dancing!

2) Buhari
THE GOOD - He is saying the right things about what he will do to attack corruption and terrorism

THE BAD - He is an ex military dictator who abused human rights

So most westerners look at this choice and wonder!

Yes I am probably VASTLY over simplifying BUT all the rhetoric and smear on ALMOST EVERY THREAD in Nairaland is about smearing the opposition. I have not seen ONE SINGLE proper POLICY DEBATE or even POLICY. What are the POLICIES of these guys? Do they even have any beyond two groups wanting to milk the country for personal gain?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE instead of attacking me for my and others perception of these guys why not actually put forward exactly what their policies are?
Well said.
