kkonsults:Thanks! |
Thanks. What's the budget range for this one. Mine is not straight too. Size is roughly 125m but same height (1m) BR |
@ Poster Should be embarking on something close soon. Please, what's the size & height of the foundation? Also, a top line spend to this stage would be must appreciated. Cheers |
Booked! |
I Believe you will have to post the plan as well. No real estimation can be made without one! |
What part of Arepo? |
Too early to say, but here's any interesting read from Sahara Reporters http://saharareporters.com/2015/03/30/95-polling-units-collated-saharareporters-projects-buhari-president-elect |
@OP Please what's the size of the foundation and the associated cost. Would be embarking on one soon and I need all the help I can get Regards |
ceejay80s:The above estimate is based on what foundation size - measurement? |
@op Very educative and quite detailed too. Would call this building 101 or Building for dummies. Really love the amount of the details that goes with each post However, Kindly assist with the below I feel it will be good to throw in the building plan with dimensions. That helps give a better perspective in terms of materials per size since there's no standard size for a 3 bedroom Also, why are you using 5 inches block? Or was that a typo Lastly, I thought mix ratios are 1:2:4 or 1:3:6. I don't see this come to play with your current blinding mixture Thanks |
@kkconsult please. What's the size of the decking? |
I often here people say 20% is ideal but again who says you can't go lower. Started out in a bank and when the long hours of driving to and from work nearly killed me I had to look for a place close to work. It would have costed about 30% of my annual and I was determined to cut down on some other expenses to accommodate this. Truth is, there was barely anything to cut, even the now reduced cost of fueling won't cover the increased rent. since I was fresh out of school, ended up sharing apartment with some fellow colleagues to achieve a 10% (of course that came with its own hurdles) Changed jobs, moved out of the Island only to discover that mainland was equally expensive. This time about 40% was all I saw close to the office. I had to widen my search and a bit of distance away from the office to finally settle for 12%. Now things have improved and it's down to 8%. Would continue to keep it down till I finally have my own house. I think the morale of the story is knowing what you want and believe me, you can always find ways around it. |
Is the land fenced. Also, is that the price per plot? |
Omo the site was a disappointment and thank God they have reverted to the old one that actually works. Can't remember the last time i walked into any GTBank Branch but i was forced to go into one today because of their failed site. I do understand that at this age, site should be optimized for mobile, but it makes more sense if there are clear advantages. At least for me and my friends, bulk of the thing we do on GTBank site is transfers and the old site works best...load time is third to Google and Nairaland (lol). So why fix it if it's not broken. Am an early adopter but load time for me should be the priority especially while on the move. If i want all those fancy analytics i can wait till am behind a system at home. |
You number aint going |
Do you have pictures to share |
I think it is a fair deal. It is ok. As per d mortality, that depends on u. Don't over stock them I.e don't put too much fishes in a pond. The water must not be too dirty, feed them well and the mortality may be fairly low. Also, d source of farm is important. If the fishes are healthy, then no problem. Goodluck!
Really appreciate the response. i will be using an earthern pond and i fink its quite large to accomodate them for 2 months before I sort and move the fast growers to a larger pond. Please, i need more advice on the estimated cost to feed them for 2 months(broken down monthly). I know arramjay as done a good job with the formular for estimating the required feed, i just need a real life data based on your experience cos of the below highlighted shortcomings on arramjay calculations and as explained by dendavid . 1 The fishes grow daily and since i wont be able to take their measurement daily based on the difficulty with management in a big earthen pond and also, i wont want to stress the fishes, hence i wont be able to know what the 10% of the BW will be 2. I have stumble across several sites (coppens inclusive) that estimate a 5% BW feed rate as against @jay 10% (not like he's wrong cos i believe it's based on his experiences), hence i will like to establish a variable i could play around with by comparing more real life datas. Apolozies if i sound too scientific but thats as a result of my background. General house feedback is welcome cos no man or woman is an Island we all learn everyday. Also, am a newbie but we all get to start someday and mine is now Kindly assist in the making of my own success story |
I just ordered for new Juveniles which was delivered today. The selling price was N16. So for newbies that are going into Catfish farming, the selling price should be btw N15-N18. Pls make sure they didn't sell fingerlings for you at that price.
Am about ordering from a supplier close to the farm i will be using, can you kindly furnish me with the percentage of mortality to expect. Details of the offer is stated below. 4000 post fingerlings @ N13 per one with 5% mortality free. Please is this a fair deal? |
