Your rival eyes have blinded you to know that Klopp was just stating a fact with subtlety. The fact that ''chelsea has deeper financial pocket than Liverpool". Klopp wasn't against Chelsea's spending, he was just saying Liverpool cannot behave like Chelsea because Liverpool don't have the flow of cash like their counterpart.

Liverpool sold Lovren and Hoever for £19m. Agreed Thiago deal £22m plus add ons, to be paid £4m over a 5 year-period. Then bought Jota for £35. They are carefully selected businesses
SportsRe: Liverpool Agree £25m Thiago Alcantara Deal by Coolgasman(m): 7:43am On Sep 18, 2020
YNWA. Even with Thiago, I still don't think we'll retain the title. Apart from other teams spending really well this summer to catch up, Liverpool have performed outstandingly for 2 years in the league amassing 97 and 99 points respectively. It will be hard to maintain that level for a 3rd season.

In 2020. Already thinking about 2023 election. It says just one thing 'greed'. No one from the 3 geopolitical zone will assume the presidency and affairs in Nigeria will change for the better. 'all na same same' . The only solution for this country is to split up either amicably or un-amicably. If you are Igbo and you are calling Yorubas slave to the Northerners then you are just dumb cos you have failed to see that the Yorubas are the pin holding the country together.

Igboid:
Lol! "my wife is Igbo" the man said.
Who asked him?
Some Nazis also had Jewish wives/gfs. Gowon had an Igbo gf during the war.
What does his wife being Igbo have to do with anything if not because he is trying to hide behind that to exhibit his Igbophobia hoping not to be attacked by Igbos or any neutral person, because his wife is Igbo grin

Like the Normal White racist that will start with " I have black friends but... " and goes on to make his racist comments.

Mr man, you just parroted what other Igbophobes do. Own it with your full chest, nothing will happen and stop hiding behind your poor Igbo wife who I pity for marrying someone like you who harbour such sinister sentiments for her people, who knows what that poor woman has been undergoing under your roof.
He mentioned that to tell u he has nothing against Igbos

EducationRe: How Private School Owners Are Dubiously Cheating Their Teachers by Coolgasman(m): 12:58pm On Jul 18, 2020
You just came here and throw abstract suggestions without any concrete way to go about it. What other possible ways can they pay teachers?
DesChyko:
I'm a private school teacher. And I think your analysis above is flawed. This certainly doesn't work for most private schools in Nigeria. At least, not for where I work. Since most private schools are patronized by families that live on somewhere below the middle class income range, I think I have a pretty good idea how they make their payments.

Some parents pay early on. Some pay after the first fee drive. Some pay in parts when they get salaries. Some pay whenever those sponsoring the child's education send the money. Some wait until exam time to pay. And some will still not pay that term. And the school will still consider some pleas too. So 96% is a really unrealistic number. I'ld go with 50% at most.

What you should insist on instead is the school management seeking other possible ways to ensure their staff get paid.

EducationRe: Students Won’t Write 2020 WAEC – Adamu, Education Minister by Coolgasman(m): 7:15am On Jul 10, 2020
They keep saying "when it is safe to do so". There would never be a time when it is safe to do so until a vaccine is being made. Everything can't stand still until then. We should be laying down strict measures to curtail the spread while people go on about their lives. The number of cases will continue to be on the up due to the country's initial carelessness about the virus and the dilapidated state of medical facilities. If the numbers dramatically go down in Nigeria without improved facilities, adequate number of testings or a vaccine, it means all those numbers NCDC were feeding us would be plain hoax.

Nice one from the ministry, how do you expect students and schools to prepare in less than a month with schools being shut for 3 months plus. if not for the sake of the teachers I would say they should resume schools next year just like Kenya.
EducationRe: Students Won’t Write 2020 WAEC – Adamu, Education Minister by Coolgasman(m): 7:33pm On Jul 08, 2020
So two sets will write next year WAEC. Simply putting measures in place for these kids to write their exams is so difficult for this government. What are they doing differently in South Africa that has more cases and their schs are back to full flow. They will rather play with these kids life than putting in place good measures to move forward. They should know it will never be safe enough until a vaccine is made. When is that going to behuh?

That is a very harsh assessment from you. You don't know what some people have gone through in their life. Lazy graduate? When did you turn to Buhari. I am sure you are one of the people that frowned at him calling Nigerian youths lazy, yet here you are. Maybe you are ignorant to the fact that we are in Nigeria, a country grossly overwhelmed with dearth of jobs. I don't think a graduate will take up teaching job if there are so many lucrative opportunities out there and I'm definitely sure once a better offer comes to any teaching graduate be it in private or public sch he/she will jump at it. I don't think anybody is comfortable with any job that is underpaying let alone a graduate. Learn how to pass your message across nxt time with a little bit pragmatism. quote author=coputa post=89752851] It,s only a lazy graduate that teaches in a private school,Do you kow that a pure water hawker in the street earns more than a average private school teacher.Take the bull by the horn and be resourseful.[/quote]

HealthRe: COVID-19: We Will Lock Down Again If Cases Rise — NCDC by Coolgasman(m): 7:19am On May 06, 2020
Lazy people attacking government for relaxing lockdown, you think lockdown will eradicate this virus completely?. It can only bring about reduction in numbers of victims. I think a month is enough for that purpose to be achieved. Only a cure or a vaccine will eliminate the accruing numbers of covid 19 new cases. The world cannot afford to stand still till then. If you want to remain in your house for the rest of the year, do so. If you want to go out and hustle while taking necessary measures to stay safe. Kudos!

The Box Office Record of Avengers: Endgame Might Never Be Broken

Avengers: Endgame became the highest-grossing movie of all time and ended up grossing $2.8 Billion worldwide. At one point it seemed that the film will cross the $3 Billion mark, but because everyone had already seen the film in a hurry & then had their repeated viewings as well, the earnings dropped significantly and Avengers: Endgame crawled its way up to $2.8 Billion after a rerelease. This was enough to become the number one movie and beat James Cameron’s Avatar. But keeping in mind the current situation and the coming future, no other film will ever be able to make this big of a number at the Box Office, and there are various reasons for that. Let’s look into those:

1. The Coronavirus

COVID-19 isn’t just killing real people but it is also killing artificial people/business entities. Life won’t just go back to Normal once we fully emerge from the Coronavirus since many businesses are going to shut down and preventive measures and it is going to take a really long time for the surviving businesses to return to glory. Due to the Coronavirus, theatre chains are out of business of now. never has the Box Office dropped to 0 in the last 20-25 years.

Once the Coronavirus will end it could be possible that most theatre chains might remain closed permanently. If that happens, then the number of theatres showing films will be lesser. In order to take precautions, there will be less number of people who will be willing to go out to the movie theatres and watch films. All in all, the less number of people and the less number of theatres gives us surety that Avengers: Endgame will not be beaten. When Endgame came out, theatre chains ran for almost 24 hours, increasing the number of screenings to accommodate people. That cannot happen at least for the next 10 years.

The Hype...

Avengers: Endgame raised a massive hype over 10 years. People go so attached to characters like Iron Man, Thor & Captain America because they got to spend trilogies & several crossovers with these characters. The hype got so much because these characters also set the basis for other characters to join them. And now, they’ve left the MCU with several other characters. We do like characters like Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel or Spider-Man, but we do not like them to the level of Iron Man or Captain America. And with Marvel introducing even more new characters, the screen time for each character will get substantially less, and the sequels will take a lot of time to get made.

Since there are so many projects now, getting those done & converging them into an Avengers crossover event would become very difficult. As opposed to an Avengers film coming out every 3 years, it will now take Marvel at least 5 between 2 Avengers films now. So, no other Marvel movie could raise enough hype. Also because there are tons of superhero movies & other big budget movies that will arrive every year, the hype for one particular film could never be built up to the level of Endgame.

This was just the Marvel films we were talking about. But we’re saying that no other franchise could ever raise the hype enough that a film would end up making $2.8 Billion. Most franchises that we know are coming to an end. Fast & Furious 10 will mark the end of the core franchise. Jurassic World isn’t as big. DC will never be as big due to the failure of their “connected shared Universe”. Star Wars has already peaked at the theatres with The Force Awakens, and surely doesn’t carry the same value especially after the way Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker ended.

Avatar might actually stand a chance to be the one to raise a massive hype for the franchise, but it certainly won’t happen right from Avatar 2. People saw Avatar back in 2009. They aren’t going to relate to Avatar unless it is extremely good. To get even remotely closer to its former glory, the next 3 upcoming Avatar films will have to be so good that people are forced to run to the theatres like they were during Endgame. But then again, there would still be the logistical problem of the number of screenings in a particular region.

Streaming Services

With Netflix, Prime & Disney+, most studios are deploying resources onto the streaming services. There are 2 other big name streaming services that are about to hit the market – HBO Max & NBC Universal’s streaming service. So, the growth in original content on the streaming services is exponential. People are actually impressed with the “theatrical movie level” content that is available on the streaming services. So, they are actually motivated to watch the content they’ve subscribed for, rather than going to the theatres to watch films every other weekend. The growth of the streaming services will ultimately lead to a loss of business for movies at the theatres. It won’t be a massive loss, but this loss will be enough to prevent any film from ever breaking the record of Avengers: Endgame.

What do you think?
