I'm a private school teacher. And I think your analysis above is flawed. This certainly doesn't work for most private schools in Nigeria. At least, not for where I work. Since most private schools are patronized by families that live on somewhere below the middle class income range, I think I have a pretty good idea how they make their payments.

Some parents pay early on. Some pay after the first fee drive. Some pay in parts when they get salaries. Some pay whenever those sponsoring the child's education send the money. Some wait until exam time to pay. And some will still not pay that term. And the school will still consider some pleas too. So 96% is a really unrealistic number. I'ld go with 50% at most.

What you should insist on instead is the school management seeking other possible ways to ensure their staff get paid.

It is only that medicine that you said that is now lucrative in Nigeria along with pharmacy, nursing. The rest you'd have to go the hard way to make it

I'm a Liverpool fan and I often wonder how we won the championship league. The players show zero class sometimes.

They keep saying "when it is safe to do so". There would never be a time when it is safe to do so until a vaccine is being made. Everything can't stand still until then. We should be laying down strict measures to curtail the spread while people go on about their lives. The number of cases will continue to be on the up due to the country's initial carelessness about the virus and the dilapidated state of medical facilities. If the numbers dramatically go down in Nigeria without improved facilities, adequate number of testings or a vaccine, it means all those numbers NCDC were feeding us would be plain hoax.

That's not even knowing exactly when the Vaccine will be ready in 2021. Could be April, June, only God knows

Nice one from the ministry,how do you expect students and schools to prepare in less than a month with schools being shut for 3 months plus. if not for the sake of the teachers I would say they should resume schools next year just like Kenya.

So two sets will write next year WAEC. Simply putting measures in place for these kids to write their exams is so difficult for this government. What are they doing differently in South Africa that has more cases and their schs are back to full flow. They will rather play with these kids life than putting in place good measures to move forward. They should know it will never be safe enough until a vaccine is made. When is that going to be?

This is very serious. If this were to be Nigeria I'd have damn the consequences of such actions since our own version of COVID 19 is African version which is less rootless.
