I feel they should also add Burkinafaso to the list of countries we should play. Burkina and Senegal were the best footballing side at the last AFCON.

PoliticsRe: Money Laundering: FG Reviews Ibori’s Case-file, To Amend Charges by cooljude(m): 9:07am On Feb 07, 2017
He should be sued and milked of all kobo he stole, but knowing Nigeria, this case would take forever and he would swiftly join the camp of APC in other to evade justice.

What did you expect, a war exercise. You can downplay the relevance of this match but you can't hide the significance.
PoliticsRe: PHOTOS: #istandwithbuhari Protesters In Abuja by cooljude(m): 9:59am On Feb 06, 2017
Fooliish stupiid paid protesters, they couldn't even masked that they are not genuine. They gave them face cap and probably after displaying their stupidity, they would be paid at most 1k-3k. If you were to ask any one of them why they chose to protest today or why are they standing with Buhari, they would be looking at you like the Zombie's they truly are.
FoodRe: Why Does Nigeria Import So Much Rice? by cooljude(m): 7:49am On Feb 06, 2017
Rice was never our major food, it started growing more popular this 21st century and it has now replaced Yam as the most consumed meal. So naturally we didn't cultivate Rice in quantity to meet up with the growing demand for it all-over Nigeria.
Secondly, the technical know-how of Rice farming is low in Nigeria.
Basic amenities to grow this sector is better left to the god's to explain because me being a mere mortal can't explain how a country after 50 years of existence can't provide the most basic things for growth.
In short we just can't seem to get the simplest things done.
SportsRe: AFCON Final: Cameroon Beat Egypt 2-1 To Win African Cup Of Nation by cooljude(m): 7:44am On Feb 06, 2017
my only prayer was against Egypt winning it. I would have wished Senegal or Burkinafaso won this AFCON. congratulations to them. I hope sey dis AFCON no go give them extra ginger to put sand sand for our world cup campaign.
CultureRe: Sultan Of Sokoto Advocates Regulation Of Social Media- The Leadership by cooljude(m): 7:33am On Feb 06, 2017
Like every invention, it has both good and bad but I disagree that social media is the cause of all the problems presently. Where their no massacre before the advent of social media.
Social media did something that was revolutionary and that was given voice to everyone who wouldn't have had a say. It is here to stay and if you can't face the criticism you shouldn't be a public figure.

CelebritiesRe: Nigerians React As 2face Cancels Nationwide Protest (photos) by cooljude(m): 12:30pm On Feb 05, 2017
madridsta007:
Well, there are a lot of books and articles about his 1983-1985 regime. The denominator of military brutality is common. That it was expected to miraculously change to consonants of a democrat is probably accepting that magic is real. If the protests or pockets of it holds tomorrow, it will be suppressed. Like others before it, Shittes and IPOB.

Honestly, it beats me when I see Nigerians expressing "surprise." Of course, regardless Nigerians should protest and at least, pass a message to the government and their enablers within the international community. But no one, like 2Face has shown, is ready to sacrifice himself or herself. To be candid, Nigeria is not worth that sacrifice— our progenitors have done so, and no one remembers them.
True,. I agree absolutely with you and I am not surprise about his stance on governance.
CelebritiesRe: Nigerians React As 2face Cancels Nationwide Protest (photos) by cooljude(m): 10:05am On Feb 05, 2017
madridsta007:
You have Buhari, a former coupist and a military dictator, and you expect him to behave like GEJ, a thoroughly-civilian democrat?

Lol. The protest was never going to hold. If it did, it would would have been brutally suppressed.
you have a point and you didn't factor in his insecurities as a man who lost power back then. He would do anything in other not to repeat history. Honestly, he is a very dangerous person to protest against because he would immediately tag you an enemy trying to usurper his power, he doesn't care about the message. But the question is, should we continue to accept bullshit and failure in this country, how long should we turn blind eyes to things that matter a lot to us.
CelebritiesRe: Nigerians React As 2face Cancels Nationwide Protest (photos) by cooljude(m): 8:57am On Feb 05, 2017
That's sad, a government that came into power by mass protest wants to surpress the very foundation of democracy. I feel with or without TuFace, the protest should happen but i would suggest it being on a location instead of walking on the street of Lagos. This would reduce the risk of vandals and criminal elements taking over the protest and this might also reduce the probability of our security agents doing what they know best (killing un-arm civilians). The protest should go on and let us let those selfish politician know they got there with our mandate and we can also chase them out without firing a gun.

cocktopuss:
Hippos are territorial animals. These humans live and survive in the riverine. Something has to give
I know, but is anything wrong if we enact laws to protect endangered animals and make some sanctuaries and safe zone for this animals inother to limit human influence and most importantly, enact laws that criminize killing of these animals.
Science/TechnologyRe: Photos Of Hippopotamus Killed By Hunters In Abuja by cooljude(m): 10:26pm On Feb 04, 2017
cocktopuss:
If it terrorises people then killing and eating it is justified. No animal should be respected at the expense of a human life.
But we are the ones encroaching into their space, most times they avoid Humans but we keep reducing their habitat thereby increasing the probability of an encounter with them.
Yes human life comes first, but it shouldn't be a pretext for us to wipe off this animals from the face of the earth.
Science/TechnologyRe: Photos Of Hippopotamus Killed By Hunters In Abuja by cooljude(m): 10:21pm On Feb 04, 2017
kodded:
[s][/s]did you skip the part where it was terrorising people in that area undecided
Actually it's the other way around. our population keeps exploding every year and we extend our boundaries deeper into their territory. Yes human life's come first but we should also take care of all other creatures that as being habiting those areas. Everything shouldn't be killed, in the next 50 years we would be telling our children that this is a lion, hippopotamus, elephant from the page of a book. then our kids would want to see it and our only answer would be, we ate them. How does it sound to you.

This will act as food for some time. Welcome development
They would eat today and become hungry tomorrow. If they had caught it and placed it in a sanctuary, they would have being eating for a long time. I think we don't think critically in this country and seriously their is no hope for this country with what I am seeing.

PoliticsRe: Osinbajo Appoints Amaechi, ogbeh, ngige To Beat Down Food Prices by cooljude(m): 12:26am On Feb 02, 2017
wristbangle:
Desperate situation calls for desperate measures.

The law of demand and supply hasn't been effective due to greedy people except for few commodities (perishable goods like tomatoes, et.al ) whereby sellers have no choice than to force down the price to avoid wastage but others like provisions and canned foods are on the increase which I believe there must be assurance dept to checkmate the gluttony and barbaric thirst of middleman/retailers.
It's either you are being dubious or just ignorant, your view is too simplistic. Pricing in the Market is not affected solely by demand and supply. for example, you are a farmer and you harvested X amount of yam for the year, from that X amount of yams, you would feed your kids, cloth them, pay their school fees, pay their medical bill, drink with friends, pay house rent and so many other things in life.
All of a sudden due to some policies or strange reasons the buying power of your currency reduces and you realised that if you continue with that price you sold your last produce, you may die of starvation before the next harvest. From the depth of your mind, without being biased what would you do.

Its a known fact that we don't have the capacity to refine 30 percent of our crude oil, how would we manage the excess crude oil coming from Niger.
Except this is one of those vague statement made by politicians without any realistic implementation plan.

Everyone knows Yahoo ain't good but believe it or not when you see that their is no hope for tomorrow, people would do the unimaginable. This country is casted and as far as their are no alternatives for young poor youths, it would continue to be a part of the normal life in Nigeria and other African countries and more youths whether illiterate or educated would join the hustle, who wan dey look make all your age group dey achieve things.
It's a sad reality and it would only get worse cause it is more acceptable now in Nigeria people no longer care as far as money is be given to them.

Nonsense, those inventions where not infuenced by Islam. They were not muslims rather they worshipped their individuals gods. Just to correct you, the earliest form of coffee was from Ethopia and not Yemen. In terms of contribution to science, muslims contributted alot like zero in maths, ancient greek classical philosophy, astrology and alot but what you quoted up there is an insult to the heritage of those civilisation who made such things.
PoliticsRe: Governor Udom Criticised For Greeting A Monarch With One Hand In His Pocket (Pic by cooljude(m): 10:01pm On Jan 24, 2017
His he not the one paying the Kings. Monarchy in Nigeria has no significance except for a few and honestly I owe no allegiance to any of them, whether the one from my village or your own village. For greeting an elderly man like that, people from that zone might not have any issue with his body posture but it might be sacrilegious to some from the other side of Naija.

My dear, disagreeing with me does not make any sense because I did not write those articles up. They are everywhere on the internet about Igbo being the aborigines of Ife. You might want to disagree with those numerous internet sources instead. Until then, ....

http://www.hevasof.com/histmoremi.htm
Anybody can put up any publication online but it doesn't translate to it been factual. By tales passed down from. generation, by location of the Ugbos to Ife, it is quite obvious that they are the people been described by the tales of Moremi and not necessary South Eastern Igbos.
