You and I are the problem of this country, we would we let the sleeping dog lye even it just killed your baby. Are you trying to say that we shouldn't have equal opportunity to something owned by all. what is wrong is wrong, we must demand good things and let those guys up their know that we are determined in our effort to make Nigeria better. Your statement made it even worse for me, until we follow a system of giving accolades to those who actually struggled and deserves it. we would continue to be a country of below mediocre.

I'm not the one that made the hate statement.

I only said the guy stated his opinion and doesn't deserve a ban for that.

A lot of us has said many irritant things against Islam. People openly say I hate Islam and Muslims but I'm yet to see someone get banned for that. Why the double standards? Why do we like to follow the bandwagon? Most you guys here hate gays but just to appear civilised, you won't say it. But does it make any difference hating people but not say it and hating people but say it to let those you hate and everyone else know?

People say I hate Barcelona fans, I hate Chelsea fans, who has been banned for that.
Firstly, I don't hate gays, I understand that you feel that they are protecting gays which irritates you. my reply was that his comment came at the wrong time, knowing fully well that 49 persons died in a gay bar. Facebook and it's management would also love to show that they as one of the leading social site would curtail the hatred people feel toward gays. so him saying the world is coming to an end his just myopic.

Firstly, I don't hate gays, many a times in Nigeria, when they see you as an effeminate guy they tag you a gay. I had a primary school classmate called Godspower, he has always been girlish from crèche class, but he is a nice guy but people always speculated about his sexual orientation. whether he is gay or not, I honestly don't care but I respect him for who he his. if they were to ask me to vote for legalisation of homosexuality, I would vote against it but it doesn't mean I would start throwing hatred at people.

Which abusive father? I am the one that gave that instance so don't make it seem like I don't watch movies. A lot of children has said it to their dads not because they got abused but because they got harshly corrected, were not allowed to have what they want or because their dad has been away from the family for a long time just because of their commitment to their jobs.

So I can't say I hate someone or people but you can wish me death by hanging?

See why I always thought some Nigerians are nothing but bandwagons who have no mind of their own. With this your post it's either you're gay or you are just a fellow with no mind trying to appear as civilised.

Who is gay? Steve Jobs that got married to about 3 women or Straight Charles Babbage?

Look, I detest homosexual activities, I hate that people I know are gay but I don't hate them. I hate people because I don't like them not because they are gay. And if someone hates people because they are gay, I respect that decision. We have all got the min of our own so whoever doesn't understand that can go to hell.
if it were two weeks ago, Facebook would have turned a blind eye to your hate statement but considering the latest shooting of gay people in a club, any hate statement would be taken seriously and I am sure that your post would have been flagged red all-over the world. I honestly don't have any issue with gays so long they don't try to influence me. I think posting something like this at this particular time is wrong.

I don't support violent but I hate when one side always love to absolve itself of blame. Those fans from all sides that actively participated should be brought to book.

if not for the so called pagan church, would you know anything about Christianity. looking closely, you realise that they are the ones who spread the religion throughout the world (90 percent). in as much as I don't believe in stupid religious dogma, but from an empirical point if view. if I were to be 100 percent religious, I would prefer to be Catholic than to a "God of men" church.

BusinessRe: Part 2. Entrepreneurship Is A Scam In Nigeria As Well As A Multiplier Of Poverty by cooljude(m): 7:16pm On May 17, 2016
wonderful write up op. I could remember when I gained admission into FUTO to study my dream course which is mechanical engineering. I had the mentality that when I entered school, I would look for a professor to work as a lab assistant or help with his research work and most likely become very good in my field, I never knew that watching Hollywood movies and trying to replicate it in Nigeria is a waste of time.
I just finished serving and I could remember vividly when the society of Engineer members representing Ekiti came to camp to address us, I asked them if they had any platform for young graduate engineer to learn or practice something related to engineering and they where all talking up and down. it was absolutely disheartening.
presently, I am searching for job and truthfully if can also get anywhere were I could practice my profession even if I am not paid, I would gladly take the offer.
I have been saying this, if Nigeria wants to grow, that one year NYSC could be restructured so that engineering students use that period to learn practical things for one year in camp. imagine learning how to use CNC machines, learning foundry, welding, various type of fabrication technology, mechatronics, etc. I would be able to proffer solution to so many problem in my immediate environment.
this was what developed countries did.

I agree that Buhari has more followers who trust him, but personally I don't trust any politician, I don't trust Buhari. whether you like it or not, Nigeria is ruled by the same cabal and I am telling you that they would still embezzle that money. I prefer we have our full subsidy because it makes life easier for everyone.
you removed subsidy but the wages remain the same, common sense would tell you that things would definitely sky rocket. how many social benefit does this country give to its citizen. whether it makes sense economically to remove subsidy or not, I prefer that it remained.

PoliticsCourt Stops NLC/TUC From Embarking On Strike (vanguard News) by cooljude(op): 3:10pm On May 17, 2016
ABUJA - The National Industrial Court, NIC, sitting in Abuja has stopped the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, and the Trade Union Congress, TUC, from embarking on a strike action tomorrow. The labour unions had in a communique they issued at the end of an emergency meeting the held on Saturday, vowed to embark on a nationwide industrial action should the federal government refuse to reverse the sudden hike in the price of fuel. However, in a ruling on Tuesday, the NIC President, Justice Babatunde Adejumo, restrained the labour unions from going on strike, pending the determination of a suit the federal government lodged before it. Justice Adejumo further ordered all the parties to maintain status quo until the legal dispute is settled. The order followed an ex-parte application that was filed by the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN. Determined to abort the planned strike action, the AGF approached the NIC, begging it to restrain the labour unions from "shutting down the nation". Placing reliance on section 14 of the 1999 Constitution, as amended, FG, insisted that it would not be "in the national interest" for the NLC and TUC to proceed on nationwide strike over the fuel price increase. Malami, SAN, argued that no amount of damages could serve as compensation if the labour unions are allowed to shut down the economy. Contending that the balance of convenience was in favour of the government, the AGF, prayed the court to determine "Whether the respondents (NLC, Trade Union Congress) have complied with the laid down condition precedent for embarking on strike". As well as, "Whether indeed there exist in law and in fact the basis of which the respondents' total closure of the economy can be justified". He told the court that the respondents met on Saturday and issued a communique wherein it gave government a three-day ultimatum to reverse the decision increasing fuel price. He said the respondents, aside threatening to shut down the country if government failed to reverse the fuel price increase, equally threatened to close down all government offices, seaport, airports and markets. The AGF argued that ordinary and law abiding citizens would be subjected to hardship if the respondents were allowed to go ahead with their threat. He said the government was left with no alternative but to seek the intervention of the court. Besides, Malami told the court that he got notice of the communique on Sunday and quickly filed an originating summons, a motion on notice and an ex-parte application to determine whether NLC's decision was justified in the circumstance. He insisted that "great and irreparable damage" would be done against the nation and "ordinary and law abiding citizens", should the court refuse the ex-parte application. Meanwhile, though neither NLC nor TUC was represented in court, Justice Adejumo granted the ex-parte motion, even as he ordered the service of all the relevant court processes on the respondents. The restraining order against the respondents will elapse after seven days.

Everfrank:
RIP to the dead. There are two parties to this crisis. We hear your own side of the story. But since the Fulani don't seem to have a mouthpiece we need sincere answers to some questions. What have you people been doing to the Fulani as to be certain they were coming to attack you? Why you and not another communities? Has any of you killed any of them before or have you rustled their cattle?
There must be a reason for 500 Fulani men to gather and attack just one community and not their neighbors. Their attack have mostly been reprisal. Just seeking the truth.
The problem between herdsmen and locals is the same everywhere in Nigeria. They destroy farmlands either intentionally or mistakenly then some people as a form of reprisal would steal their cows, that is a known fact. with time things would settle then the same pattern reoccurs. But attacking a whole community with such ferocity is totally condemnable. no matter what, this act can never be rationalised, this is a pure barbaric act.

How did the police get wind of the youths meeting, for godsake such meeting arent done in the village square during the day
what did major igbo group do after the arrest
the likes of ipob,massob,bim,ohaneze
i would have called for a reprisal against any northerner but igbos are just to numerous up there
if you guys do not engage in a fight for all now, then only god know how you people will sleep with your eyes closed
It meant they had no sinister plan. what has happened has happened. the next course of action should be, how to make sure it never reoccurs again. Ohaneze and most other social groups don't really have political power to call the shot. This group can be caught because it is obvious that they are mercenaries who are highly mobile causing havoc. I am certain that they've already chose their next target.
PoliticsRe: Timeline Of Events In Enugu Gov. Office Prior To The Herdsmen's Attack by cooljude(m): 2:31am On Apr 27, 2016
Firstly, this Facebook nonsense would not change the fact that I want the governor impeached even if he is from Nsukka. what is the need of having somebody representing you and when it is time to defend you in this case his fellow Nsukka people, he bleeped up. how would he react if it was other places in Enugu. its a shame, I just know that if you follow the trend of event, you would know that the hands of some very powerful backers from the federal government is involved.
firstly, you arrested more 73 indigenes who were discussing about security of their hometown, when the terrorist attacked, the so called military men had gone to who knows where, immediately when the community regrouped to attack, they resurfaced. abegi this country shouldn't be existing.
PoliticsRe: Police Abandoned Us During Herdsmen Invasion – Enugu Community by cooljude(m): 2:07am On Apr 27, 2016
Hagm0nd:
So the villagers knew they were to be attacked and they cant organise vigilante and arm themselves
imagine fulani telling the communities that their land belong to them for grazing, raping women and many more
and the slowpoke of a governor could only talk about prayer and fasting
this is what ipob should arise and confront not insulting yorubas
unless they are a bunch of cowards
if you remember that not more than a month before this attack more than 73 youths were arrested because they where discussing how to secure and tame the excess of those herdsmen. I am from that local government and the conflict did not start today but they had never attacked us with this magnitude. I think those herdsmen are backed by powerful persons from this government. if you follow the trend carefully, they firstly used the military to round up a lot of youth then on the day of the attack, the so called military personnel left for who knows where. then the said military surfaced when reprisal started.
I think Nigeria as a country should enshrine in our constitution the right for individuals to have their own firearms in other to secure themselves. why would a Fulani man be allowed to carry assault riffles but I would be arrested if a small pen knife is found on me. For my Governor saying the people should pray and fast,I just want to say he his a big fat fool.
PoliticsRe: Enugu Vs Fulani:hausa/fulani Have All Fled Uzo Uwani As Youths Explodes by cooljude(m): 8:53am On Apr 26, 2016
fiizznation:
People have to be careful. If you think you are dealing with the average Nigeria fulani/fulfude group then you people should better wake up. I'm a Fulani man and I know what I'm talking about. These herdsmen carrying out all these atrocities are dangerous herdsmen from other Africa countries e.g chad, Niger, Sierra Leone, Gambia, guinea, Senegal, Mali etc. Normally they rarely attack any community until they are attacked first and they don't understand anything called fair play. They have a very wide network that cuts across the entire African continent.

My problem with the hypocritical Nigeria media houses is they hardly report any killings of these herdsmen by the local community, but the herdsmen reprisal attacks are always reported. To me this is insensitivity. We all know how innocent Nigeria herdsmen are killed everyday by the locals, but nobody wants to talk about that. The agatu people killed many innocent Fulani herdsmen before the herdsmen reprisal attacks, but how many media houses reported that? All we were hearing was Fulani ransacked agatu community.

People should be careful, if you think these herdsmen don't get to hear news about how their fellow brothers are killed and their cattle rustle, then we are not serious about solving this crisis
To an extent i agree with you that most attacks are retaliation, but the question would be if everybody keep attacking, who would be left. Honestly, Uzo-Uwani would also seek their own revenge.
