Restructuring is a scam. The current crop of looters wud still administer the restructured nations. Meaning more money to be looted in rich states
That is why restructuring is needed.

For eg, if the job of being a senator becomes a part time one (with flat sitting allowance of 500k per month and no salary since it is a position of service and not one of self-indulgent grandeur) that can only be held by people engaged in some form of human endeavour or the other, tell me if by virtue of that piece of restructuring, 90% of those who strive to be senaators today will not strive for something else.

The resource control issue does not at all define the scope of the restructuring drive/proposal.

It consists of many tiny changes in different areas of our system that force change and improvement in the direction we want.

These changes are what many Nigerians from every corner agreed upon in the 2014 confab report and which the restructuring clamourers believe must be looked at for implementation

Looking at what happened in Rivers State when Marshall Harry was murdered,
although everybody believed it was a key figure in the exec that killed him, after some time, the police was able to produce some criminals which they said killed Mr. Marshall Harry.

The criminals (who looked like people who had been in jail for some time) made confessions on TV.

Ask the Nigerian police what became of those people and you will find out that perhaps there is need to be afraid in Nigeria.
Modification* I personally do not know anything of their trial or sentencing afterwards

Up till today in Rivers state, if you ask around about the confessing criminals many are still going to tell you they believe they got people forgotten in jail custody to confess to the crime (in a deal between the real political killers and the arranged confessors).

After witnessing these things in Rivers State, many here have a real belief in the will and capacity for actors in the political space to attempt terribly daring frame-ups once they have determined the eventual outcome is in their identified political interest.

The Nigerian female... primal hypocrite

As someone who believes in celibacy before marriage, I respect the girls that say they like sex and they think it is okay before marriage (even if I disagree with them).

I respect the ones that say they know it is the right thing to keep oneself for his or her partner but they can't help it. It is too difficult for them to make the decision to stay celibate.

But I totally detest the ones that will say "me too" just to look good and impress you and in their minds they say "foolish boy" or "foolish man" and go help themselves with whomever as they try to ensure they get married to you.

Cinderella5:
What is the point in having pictures with men you have dated who you do not eventually marry? Will you proudly show it off to your husband "sweetheart this is my ex boyfriend" or your children " Nonso, this was the man I dated before i married your father" ? It serves no value for you the woman. The most stupid of all is the ladies who take pics with a guy that hasn't even called you his girlfriend, WTF! ! You are having sex with him (booty call) and you believe it's ok to allow him take several pics with you, sweetheart, you are ruining your future. Tomorrow the guy would show the world proof that he has slept with you. Lol. Mind you this message is not for prostitutes and runs girls those ones have lost their souls cos of money. I am referring to normal girls who think becos a guy asked her out and they are having sex she can keep taking pics with him up and down. Picture are evidence, can be used against you tomorrow.
Now think about a situation where you become a VIP tomorrow and one low life you dated in the past starts brandishing pictures he took with you, how will you feel?its even worse if you are married.
Many guys have no conscience, the pic you think you have taken with your boyfriend may mean something else to him and third parties who would see it in future. While you tell people this is me and my boyfriend, he may be saying this is me and a girl I was fucking way back, so sad!

Let me give you an example of Bianka Ojukwu, FFK says he has dated her,she has denied vehemently. Imagine there is some stupid cudly picture they both took, how could she have denied it?

The first photo you should take with a lover is pre wedding pictures. You know you two are getting married, not some silly love me I love you pictures, it's not necessary, It serves no purpose, it can hunt you in future, ladies be wise!!!!
How are you. I'm PH based

May 12, 2018

An Islamic scholar, based in Ilorin, Kwara State, Sheikh AbdulRaheem Aduanigba, has alleged that his life is under threat, claiming that some people attempted to kidnap him in his residence on Tuesday night.

Speaking with Saturday Tribune in a telephone conversation, Sheikh Aduanigba, who said he is the Lemomu Yoruba (Chief Imam Yoruba) of Ilorin, said he was being persecuted for his stance on the emancipation of the Yoruba race.

A video went viral on the social media, during the week, in which the Islamic cleric called on Muslim faithful to drop their Islamic names and rather adopt their Yoruba names as part of the efforts at resuscitating the Yoruba renaissance.

Speaking on Thursday, he said his ordeal started some 20 years ago when he was turbaned as the Chief Imam Yoruba of Ilorin, an action which he said did not go down well with the Ilorin Emirate and which culminated in a law suit which he eventually won in 2009.

“I was in my house on Tuesday, 8 May, 2018, when some three men came knocking at my gate at about 11pm. They claimed that they were police officers who were acting on the instruction of the Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Mr Aminu Pai Saleh, who they claimed invited me to a meeting at that odd hour.

“I became suspicious as I noticed that two of the three men wore unkempt beards and I thus concluded they were not policemen. They told me that I should come with them to honour a supposed invitation by the Commissioner of Police.
“I became more curious and I asked that they should allow me place a call to the police commissioner who is well known to me. Oddly, the first line was switched off and the second rang and rang many times, unpicked.

“One of the men now unwittingly suggested that the police commissioner must be sleeping, a clear signal that the said invitation at 11pm may not have even emanated from the police commissioner. My suspicion was coupled with the fact that there was no warrant of arrest and no formal letter of invitation.”

Speaking on the development, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Kwara State command, Mr Ajayi Okasanmi, who spoke on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, claimed that the Islamic cleric was duly invited by the police.

He said the cleric refused to honour the invitation made to him, despite the fact that the letter was sent to his residence, advising him to come out from hiding and “behave as a responsible citizen.”

According to Okasanmi, Sheikh Aduanigba was invited by the police, based on a petition written by those he described as concerned citizens of the state over alleged inciting video made and disseminated by the cleric to public.

But we said don't vote Buhari.

It was not because a northern president was bad. Far from it! It is because Buhari was bad. And very bad.

Are there not many great and intelligent northern men?

Even IBB would have been better.

People like Tinubu will be remembered for investing himself into manifesting this reality for Nigerians.

Obasanjo is already probably feeling the shame and embarrassment of having been unmistakably known to invest his persona into ensuring the emergence of the medieval ideology that overrides useful reason in decision-making as it emanates from the administration today.

The only things that will stop me from doing that (as things stand) are:

1). If all the northern candidates presented are as bad as Buhari.

2). If any southern candidate is just s-o-o many times better than the best northern candidate presented.

PoliticsAmaechi Will Never Support Me- Magnus Abe Phnews.ng by coolscott(op): 9:52am On May 11, 2018
https://phnews.ng/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Magnus-Abe.jpeg

The governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Senator Magnus Ngei Abe, has finally addressed his rift with Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.

Abe, in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Parry Saroh Benson, said his rift with Amaechi was political owing to the fact that the minister publicly declared not to support his governorship aspirations.

The senator said, “I am amused by some of these allegations and stories making the rounds. For the records, the disagreement between me and the Minister (Amaechi) is political. He is the leader of the party but he has said publicly on several occasions that he can never support me.

“That means the entire country knows that he cannot pretend to be neutral or an unbiased umpire in any matter in which my interest and the interests of those interested in me are concerned.

” Yet, as the leader, it is his responsibility to provide a level playing field for us all.”

You know, when election season comes, people write all sorts of things in attempts to press a peoples' buttons.
This I think is coming from former governor Amaechi's camp.

The intent seems to be to push Ijaws in Rivers state to begin thinking sectional.

We do not think that way in Rivers State.

As the writer wrote, it was Ijaw power figures that made it possible for Odili to be governor.

And the support for Wike was across the board.

We have been many ethnic groups in Rivers State from the time Bayelsa was not carved out
and we have lived used to that.

That is why we know this is absolute nonesense, an attempt to start a fire.

But I fell sorry for those behind this. It doesn't seem as if this take off the ground

PoliticsAmaechi, Abe Trade Blames Over Violence At APC Secretariat - ThisDayLive.Com by coolscott(op): 12:03pm On May 06, 2018
Confusion over court injunction mar ward congresses
Ernest Chinwo in Port Harcourt

The Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi, and the Senator representing Rivers South East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Magnus Abe, are it each other’s jugular over the violence that heralded the vandalism of the state secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on the eve of the party’s ward congresses in Rivers State.

While Amaechi blames Abe’s supporters, the later has stated that the minister was responsible as the party faithful were peaceful until the police invited by the former governor harassed them.

https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/leadersandco/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/06015605/Rotimi-Amaechi.jpg

This is as the confusion over a supposedly court order stopping the congresses marred the exercise in the state.

Persons suspected to be members of the youth wing of the party on Friday invaded the state party secretariat at Forces Avenue, Old GRA, Port Harcourt and destroyed the building over what they described as the partisanship of the state executive of the party.

Addressing journalists on the incident, Amaechi accused Abe of being behind the destruction at the party secretariat on Friday.

He also said there was as no court injunction stopping the Ward congresses from holding in the 344 wards across the state.

He insisted the ward congress went on successfully with the adoption of Option A-4 as the voting process.

He further said that Abe wants to run for the governorship of the state on the platform of APC in 2019 without passing through the governorship primaries, saying he never hijacked electoral materials for the ward congress, as alleged by the senator and his supporters.

Amaechi, who is the immediate past Governor of Rivers State, also denied moving about in Port Harcourt with over a platoon of soldiers and more than 200 personnel of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (F-SARS),. as alleged by his successor, Governor Nyesom Wike

The minister said, “I have not left this house since morning. A lot of people are complaining about internal democracy in the APC. So, why are they running away from internal democracy? Let’s go and queue up behind the candidates we want. As early as 6:00am, saturday, I gathered that thugs had taken over the Rivers State secretariat of APC

“In view of the noise, policemen found it difficult to take action, in spite of their being invited to protect the property by the leadership of Rivers APC.

“The party needed to sell forms to anybody who was interested. What the governorship aspirant (Abe) wanted to do was that there should be no congress. He (Abe) took over the entire secretariat (of Rivers APC) with thugs.

“At 3:00pm, policemen had to force themselves in, to be able to sell forms and for people to be able to purchase forms for saturday’s ward congress.

“If that candidate (Abe) is popular, why didn’t he ask his supporters to buy forms, go and compete at the wards? I am grateful that people bought forms and I hope that his (Abe) supporters also bought forms. By saturday), there will be congress. I do not carry thugs about.

But Abe blamed Amaechi for the sacking of the party secretariat, accusing the minister of steps that are not in accordance with the interest of the party.

His words: “I am amused by some of these allegations and stories that are making the headlines. For the records the disagreement between me and the Minister is political. He is the leader of the party but he has said publicly on several occasions that he can never support me, that means the entire country knows that he cannot pretend to be neutral in any matter in which my interest and the interests of those interested in me are concerned. But as the leader it is his responsibility to provide a level playing field for all of us.

“We are politicians, tomorrow when we need voters, who will those people branded as thugs be? People paid for forms, they had their tellers and no one was telling them what was going on, they besieged the state secretariat for explanations. Rather than the leader to come and address them they brought armed policemen to open fire on innocent party men and women. That is what led to damage at the secretariat. They were there from morning and there was no violence until the police came and opened fire on APC members who were totally peaceful.
Who authourised the shooting and why?”
