To me it's nothing special. Finished season one a while ago and never watched season 2. The mc just seemed annoying to me, Houhou was funny but not interesting enough to save the anime.

I generally don't follow seasonal anime. I only watch sequels to anime that I'm already familiar with and good stuff I can get my hands on from friends. I don't usually watch new series unless they are recommended from trusted sources.

Then in December, I go through online forums and look at what people pick as their top anime of the year. I read their reviews for their
reasoning behind them. If I'm convinced, I'll add them to my holiday list. When the list is done, I binge watch everything through the holiday season.

You picked Litten and evolved it into Incineroar.

Kommo-o is an absolute beast in competitive play especially with its Z-move. God help you if you don't have a fairy type.

I don't use cheats (unless you consider trade evolution patched ROMs to be cheating) so I usually just speed the game up, turn off battle animations, and grind manually.

Gameboy... Completed Pokémon Red, Gold and Emerald. I jumped Black DS with Drastic emulator but got too busy to continue.

I've always had an irrational hatred for Bakugan. I just thought it was bad.

Pokemon on the other hand, I'm similar to you. I played Gold, Sapphire, Emerald, Platinum, Black, and White 2. Never got a 3DS or Switch so I started playing ROM hacks on emulators. I also play Pokemon Showdown online against real opponents.

As a child, my brother used to tell me about the days of DBZ and Tenchi Muyo on Cartoon Network. Apparently, they used to show stuff like Samurai X and Fist of the North Star on local tv. Must've been some good times.

However, I'm only old enough to remember stuff like Digimon and Tokyo Mew Mew (don't judge me) from like 2005 or so.

I also started playing Pokemon games (which I still do) around then. DBZ also had a card game on Gameboy which was the greatest thing ever back then. I also remember having some physical DBZ and Pokemon cards.

I remember Naruto being this niche show that some kids watches back in primary school then it exploded in popularity a couple of years later. However, the first anime I actually seriously followed was Bleach back in 2013. Finished it in like a month (never watched the Fullbringer arc, tho).
