Tabasco23:Same energy though.

Guys named Steve right now:
|
IMAliyu:I will definitely check these guys out. King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard also did track blending in Nonagon Infinity. Here, the 9th and final track of the album also loops back into the first track creating some sort of infinite loop. It's a Garage/Psych rock album. IMAliyu:Yeah, me too. These days though, hip hop and pop have completely dominated the music scene. Now, I don't have any issue with hip hop but when you can't even find decent indie rock or eurodance bops on Fifa you know there's a problem. It's all hip hop and grime these days. |
IMAliyu:I won't call myself metalhead but I've listened to few metal albums. Usually when rock bands I like try to do something new. Ghost is a good gateway into the genre. They're more into 80s era glam metal than the heavy metal we see today. In fact, not every metalhead actually considers them a metal band. Expect lot's of references to the occult from them. My favorite album of theirs is Prequelle. Infest the Rats' Nest by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard is a good thrash metal album. While they are normally make psychedelic rock, this was a very good attempt at metal. Portal of I by Ne Obliviscaris is a beautiful progressive metal album. I heard from a redditor that a song from the album was actually studied in one of his university classes. Every song is like an orchestral piece with electric guitars and death growls. However, patience is required to listen to this since every song is like 10 minutes long. |
I know this is totally random but doesn't Mei Mei from Jujutsu Kaisen kinda look like Darkrai? |
Baddestguyp:From the same guy that wrote Hunter x Hunter. Yu Yu Hakusho is definitely on my anime bucket list. |
MrReeseG:I haven't actually started watching Jujutsu Kaisen since I remember it having a bumpy start in the manga. |
donwizzy7:Is true though. I can count the number of anime with opening or ending themes that are remarkable to me in any way. Most of them are just basic j-pop and I'm not a big fan of mainstream pop. There are some that I like but those ones are usually exceptions that don't sound like normal anime music. Given the sheer number of anime I've watched, I can't say I'm a fan anime music. Maybe I just dislike the fact that a lot of then don't fit the vibe of the show. |
randomShek:This is actually also pretty good. There's definitely a metalhead somewhere behind the scenes though. Metal gets waaay too much of a bad reputation, I'm not a metalhead but I listen to a few metal bands and it's actually a rich and diverse genre. |
Tabasco23:Yeah I know. I was actually quoting a line from the translated lyrics. The lyrics aren't too out of place for a metal song. |
Tabasco23:Fvck. This. Shiiiit! I love that song. Especially the part where Hanako's seiyuu is sperging out after the second chorus. I don't usually vibe to anime music but that song is one of my exceptions. |
Kaycee7:I enjoy staring at the nice, plump technique they use when they climb. |
NoonMasamune:The developers of the game, MiHoYo are Chinese-based. This means that they have to follow Chinese censorship laws which prohibits anything that "threatens Chinese unity". Genshin Impact is banning words like Tibet, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. archive[dot]is/9gloz Pisses me off that China is trying to push their agenda using weeb culture. |
NoonMasamune:Genshin Impact is just a Chinese propaganda front disguised as a gacha game. If you're going to play gacha games please don't support the ccp machine |
CapedBaldy:White-haired shota and femboy can't hold a candle to Lawliet. The show took a nosedive once he moved to Bleach. |
CapedBaldy:Are we going to act like Near wasn't basically omniscient the way he was able to deduce things from nowhere? |
BlackManta:Death Note starts off as one of the best anime of all time. The first few episodes are incredible. Then they introduce a character called Misa and it drops in quality but still remains a good anime. Then episode 25 happens and it's all downhill from there. Still a good watch, though. |
donwizzy7:I know what you mean. I was asking for the specific adblockers and settings you're running. |
donwizzy7:How do you defeat ads? |
nani667:.
|
nani667:Interesting choice of words. |
kutiman00:I'm also hoping for an anime announcement. However, I heard on reddit that because it is free to read on Jump's website, volume sales have taken a hit. Making an anime adaptation unlikely. I can't confirm how true this is, though. |
I see a lot of love for Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen on this board and of course it's well-deserved. Chainsaw Man is edgy and unpredictable and Jujutsu Kaisen is consistently unique in its execution of established shōnen tropes. But what about Jump+'s Jigokuraku? I'm of the opinion that this manga is criminally overlooked. Jigokuraku follows the story of 12? (I'm no longer sure of the number) condemned criminals in feudal Japan who are each paired with an asaemon (executioner) and tasked to travel to a strange island in order to find the elixir of life in exchange for their freedom. All previous expeditions to the island have failed, with the voyagers either never coming back or coming back as corpses that have been partially transformed into trees. Our characters arrive on this island of horrors and are greeted by all sorts of mysterious monsters and creatures. The reader slowly learns more about the island along with the different groups as they discover more about the world around them. We slowly learn more about the characters and their motivations as the story goes on. It's worth noting that every character is treated with some level of care. However, that doesn't mean that this manga is afraid of dropping bodies. Established characters are picked off left and right. Save for a few main characters, nobody seems safe from death and the fights have consequences. Not to knock on Chainsaw Man but unlike Chainsaw Man, Jigokuraku generally doesn't use character deaths for shock value (not that there's anything wrong with shock value). Character deaths are used to both conclude the arcs of the characters getting killed off and to advance the arcs of their friends and allies by creating new motivations. I'm about 45 chapters in and it's pretty dope. U definitely recommend it. |
kutiman00:You need to keep the bloodline pure |
nani667:Grown Witch Academia |
Tabasco23:Next year is definitely the earliest time for a Chainsaw Man anime. I haven't heard about Mashle before, is it good? |
Tabasco23:Chainsaw Man is dope. However, the current arc isn't really my speed. Turns out that killing off beloved characters in an anti-climatic manner can hurt the quality of your manga especially when a lot of the entertainment value is derived their banter. Still though, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an anime announcement. I really believe that a Chainsaw Man anime will be incredible. |
Press F to pay respects. Edit: Since the screenshot was heavily compressed by nairaland. HorribleSubs has shut down, this is the biggest anime subtitle group on the high seas. Other fansub groups exist but is a big blow to the community.

Kaycee7:Yeah sure, it's the climbing you're interested in. |
kutiman00:Based Future approves of this post. |
QueTeddy:Like how to dribble people using Geass? |
Mark23:I guess it's a good idea to pace yourself when the author is on full kill-'em-all mode. |
