Politics › Re: Gridlock As Fuel Queues Resurface In Lagos by coputa(m): 9:43am On Feb 06, 2024
It is expected, the rate of the dollar to the naira is used by fuel importers as a benchmark in fuel importation.

So as the dollar is soaring high against the naira, there is bound to be increase in the pump price of petrol

The prices of other goods are already affected by the price of the dollar why not petrol

You can gas light any situation as you like, know this and know peace, Obi will never smell Aso Rock.

Your youths are deserting their land in Anambra. They are running away from Ihiala as the town is getting deserted day by day...
You rant like a kindergarten, what did you gain if Peter did not smell aso rock,is your Tinubu doing well as a president for the past eight months

Does the current economic hardship knows religion and ethnicity.

You are among those that voted incompetence and mediocrity and you are bent on foolishly supporting it using the hate of the Igbos as a shield.

I do not know your tribe, but you smarks like a Yoruba street urchin being paid stipends to support hardship and suffering metted on Nigerians by your adopted daddy

The country is drowning gradually, very soon there will be nothing to hold on to and you and your family will drown along with it as well.

Good and affordable health care is a sine qua non to long life, aside security and high standard of living.

He won't tell his people that FG has increased his state's allocation. FAAC has been sharing no less than 1 trillion monthly.
These irresponsible Governors would rather deflect the attention of their citizens to the FG while they embezzle the state's funds.
Should he use the state fund to feed the people of the state, the present economic hardship experienced all over the country is caused by the federal government.

I think nigerians should start a nationwide protest on this

I just calculated the amount I spend on fuel per week and its #15,000. Imagine. During Jonahs regime is was #5,000... I never even talk of generator fuel and cooking gas oh. See Nepa bill, dstv & other utilities....in this Nigeria we will soon understand why some people venture into crim
That's the reality now,the best solution is to cut down your bills and remove some luxury you can do without.
Indulging in crime is not sustainable and it doesn't pay.

CharleyBright:
As measures to curb the Free Fall of the Naira against the Dollars, the Central Bank of Nigeria has release a statement Banning the use of Foreign Currency in Nigeria
The government is shooting itself on the foot.

The dollar is the most sought after currency all over the world.it is used by many west African countries like Ghana internally and that does not reduce the value of the Ghana cedi

All these are smoke screen approach, they should hold the bull by the horns

APC supporters, who are mostly from the SW, have even made Buhari 'a known failure' look like a superstar.

Tinubu is a disgrace and a fraud that finances idiots and touts to sing his praises.

Shameless people...spits.
Lagos is small and has much reasources

Buhari created a bobby trap for his successor, Tinubu don't want to complain because of party loyalty.

Go and research what the exchange rate was under Abacha. What the price of foodstuffs and fuel were. The military was MASSIVELY better, and we urgently need them back
The money Abacha looted is more than the loots of all nigeria past civilian government put together.

Not to mention the lives he wasted, civilian government still remains the best.
Politics › Re: Again CBN Adjust Exchange Rate by coputa(op): 8:46pm On Feb 04, 2024
Tinubu greatest mistake is removing fuel subsidy when he knew that his predecessor had mortgaged nigeria oil.

It means he had about 20% to contend with, which he had equally used as payment for loan he collected from AFREXIM
Politics › Again CBN Adjust Exchange Rate by coputa(op): 8:22pm On Feb 04, 2024
Amid stakeholders rejection of the #1,356.883 exchange rate to a dollar, the CBN on Saturday readjusted the exchange rate on the custom platform to #1,413.62 to one dollar.

Maritime experts says that the increase in the exchange rate means that Nigerian importers will pay more to clear their goods at the port as import duty is benchmarked against the dollar

With this increase, the import duty on goods has now triple within the seven months of Bola Tinubu government.

I think these killings and kidnapping across the country is a sort of revolt against the present administration.

The solution to all these should be political, this need a political solution

The north are revolting, and the government should be able to interpret their body language.

It's impossible because dollars is scarce, banks abroad doesn't send their currencies to you here in Nigeria, they send naira equivalent with the prevailing exchange rates through Nigeria banks.

Ordinary people like myself that get higher value @ the black market for their forex than the bank exchange rate.

It is a matter of choice, people like yourself that don’t make foreign exchange will not understand.
the demand for dollars far outweigh that of the naira you went to exchange at the black market.

Where did Aboki gets the millions of dollars they sell to importers, certainly not from the 100 dollar you went to exchange for the naira

How CBN can tackle raising inflation and bring down usd 1$ back to N200 or N500 at most.

1, For Nigerians travelers ( that needs physical cash BTA)
Asign personnel to Exchange fx directly from the Airport only with requirements like visa and traveling ticket evidence.

2, most of the Exchange fx can as well be gotten from the returning at the airport from those who might want to change their fx.

3. A) all Nigerians that needs foreign currency most open an E-naira accounts. Confiscate and mop up all physical foreign currency trading in the market and issue them the digital currency wallet via the e-naira. They can hoard limited fx if they like but it must be the digital on the e-naira wallet and not on the physical notes.

B) Create a dollar, pounds, euro wallet account . (At least the major currency Nigerians are mostly using) inside the E-naira platform where people can conveniently move monies from there enaira account at the approved exchange rate converted to all currency wallets. They can as well convert it back to naira wallet any time as needed.

C) Major importers will have to registered with the CBN and ensure they are truly importers and have their limit increases base on their import capacity. No physical dollar will be giving but digital dollars on their e-naire. Also encourage foreign merchants especially the Chinese to open an enaira wallet for easy transactions. Cbn will need to promote and sell the enaire idea to Chinese merchants.

D) mini importers and others can make purchases online with the enaira dollar mastercards at a minimum limit of 5k or 10k usd a year.

E) flight tickets booking should be done via enaira master cards.

F) school fees or those sending money abroad can use the same enaira cards or crypto currency as it already been done.
Who is giving dollars to the Aboki in the black market.is it not our politicians.
