With due respect and as in most other contests, its true but if you have been following the trend in our own contest, it is not. I have not been over trading to be in the top since. 5% is just $50 which you can make trading 0.05 lot of gu at 100pips.

I have only been trading gu and egbp and no more than 0.05 lots.

Trade responsibly and you will make it. Study the performance and you will see it. I do not need to see what other contestants are trading for me to know their trading behavior. Just with the table, I can tell.

The truth is I knew what you were referring to but needed your analogy, I needed you to defend the assertion, but you couldn't. On the other hand, you don't see what they trade, the lot they use, the number of trades they have entered to have the DD, which made me believe that you only guessed.

For example, what if they used the appropriate lot size for excellent money management, but had lost 10trades in a row in the contest to have the DD we see, would we say that they have bad money management?

Finally, I know you for real brother, I know you very well, you do not have intention to rubbish anyone's effort, I only generalized and not directed to you; you have always been my personal person. Love you bro. Stay blessed.

You are right. But remain focus. Two things are at stake. The prize and the ultimate prize. Keep your responsible trading up.

The DD justifies his assertion. Its day Two and with a leverage of 1:25, any one with DD more than 10% as at today is gambling. Thats taking high risk so as to top the table. And when they lose, they go down the ladder.
Those that truly trades do not experience margin call or high DD. Its very simple.
I have gambled in the past too but we need to work to let go of it and build gradually by trading instead of gambling.

That's what I was trying to say. No intention to rubbish someone else's effort. I wouldn't do that.

I will say it is not enough to say people are gambling, gurus in this business can take 4 solid trades and still fail them all, you won't say they gambled right? especially when you are aware of their capacity.

Don't assume, let's all focus on the task not trying to fish what others may be doing, it could be their innocent way of trading not gambling,,,,,in essence, don't rubbish someone else's game or downplay them.

I can see some people are gambling in this competition/contest.

Now I see why most people fail in this business.

Some are just after the prize and nothing else.

Remember, it's about mastery and having to be financially free for life.

I didn't win the competition nor did I come close.

But what I have learnt is great.

Risk management is key for me. That's what the competition has taught me.

I lost about 5.5% of the account in about a month.

I could have taken less trades and have less than 5.5% loss.

I overleveraged like 2-3 times using (0.05 lot size) during the competition.

Less is more.

Taking few trades per week.

And so on....

What this means is that if I can manage my risk very well and get on the winning side more often than not, I'll be successful in this business.

I noticed most of us were after the prize only. We forgot the risk management part.

Where are you guys participating in the contest? I was going through and I have to drop this. Its not good money management to trade lot thats more than 0.05-0.1 on a $1000 account balance. No matter how sweet the signal is.

Yes, boss. I started with 0.05 but now using 0.02.

I am okay with 0.02 till I get a consistent result.

Investor password or master password is fine. Icmarkets will not give you investor password as well except you create it yourself.
