It’s a red carpet favourite — a side split that stops at your belly button — but it may prove a little too much for Christmas drinks with the Joneses. If you decide to brave it, look for a dress with plenty of material and team with skyscraper heels. If you’re going to do it, you’ve got to do it properly. #Palmgossip Which of the splits the you believe is best?

Looks very dangerous. Hope Lagos state government does something fast before we record a disaster. #Palmgist

The minister, at Ikot Inyang village in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom, said that the switch on of the station would boost electricity supply in the country. He said that the station was expected to evacuate electricity from power plants in Alaoji, Afam, Calabar and Ikot Abasi and route same to Ugwuaji in Enugu up to Jos. Fashola said that the development would solve the problem of stranded power as the generating plants would have their power evacuated for use. The minister added that the project was bedevilled with challenges but for the intervention of the National Assembly, which resolved the contending issues for the completion of the project. The Managing Director of Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC), Mr Chiedu Ugbo, who was at the inauguration, said contract for the project was awarded in 2006. Ugbo said that the project was delayed due to challenges and lauded the stakeholders for the commitment toward completing the project. He noted that the new management of NDPHC was committed to ensuring improved power generation, saying that the switching of the station on would mark the end of epileptic power supply. He expressed gratitude to Gov. Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom and his predecessor, Sen. Godswill Akpabio and the host community for providing conducive environment for the completion of the project. In her speech, Princess Maryam Akanmode, the contractor handling the project, said the 330 KV station had 12 inter-connectivity lines to evacuate power from the four plants to the national grid. Akanmode, who is the Managing Director of Carlark International Limited, lauded the Federal Government and stakeholders for assisting in the completion of the project. The Akwa Ibom Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel, said the event marked significant turning point in the march toward new dawn in both power infrastructural renaissance and industrial revolution. Represented by his Deputy, Mr Moses Ekpo , the governor said that the Ibom Power Plant had approval for upgrade to 685 megawatts from the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission. He said that the state was generating 191 megawatts from the Power Plant in Ikot Abasi Local Government Area of the state. Emmanuel disclosed that the state government had equally partnered a private investor for the take-off of the N90 billion Uquo Gas Plant at Esit Eket. He said that gas plant was projected to supply 131 million standard cubic feet of gas per day to the National Independent Power Plant (NIPP) in Calabar, as well as the Ibom Power Plant. #Palmnews |
Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose told the Ghanaians that change had only brought Nigeria hunger and suffering. Fayose told the Ghanaians that change had only brought Nigeria hunger and suffering. The governor made the comments via a statement released by his media aide, Lere Olayinka. The statement reads: “By buying into the All Progressives Congress (APC) message of change, Nigerians are now facing a kind of hunger and suffering never experienced in the country in the last 30 years and Ghanaians must not fall into that kind of trap.” “Ghanaians should not succumb to the deceit of the opposition party that are calling for a change of government. Rather, they should return the incumbent President, John Mahama, who has no doubt done creditably well to deserve a re-election. “Ghanaians should know that the change in Nigeria brought hunger, suffering, disregard for the rule of law as well as arrest and detention of Nigerians without trial and be mindful of those preaching change to them. “Most importantly, the situation in Ghana at present is similar to that of Nigeria. Like President Muhammadu Buhari, opposition party, New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo has contested the presidency two times. This is the third time he is contesting. He is also 74 year-old. “In Nigeria, change is synonymous with economic recession that is even getting to the level of depression. Even majority of those who brought the change are now regretting it. “Therefore, tell your people in Ghana that Nigerians are already regretting the change they made last year, which has plunged the country into serious economic hardship. “Tell them to learn from Nigerians and reject those preaching message of change to them. They should hold on to the government that they have now and beware of a change that will take their country to economic recession.” According to Olayinka, Fayose made the remarks while hosting clerics from Ghana on Saturday, November 19. #Palmnews

Busted! Cheating girlfriend who said she was staying in a hotel 'alone' is caught by her boyfriend after he spotted her boss' suitcase on the floor in photo.. What was supposed to be some kinky long-distance sexting went haywire when one man realized his girlfriend was cheating on him right before his eyes. The unnamed man was texting his girlfriend Jackie, who was supposedly on a solo trip in Atlanta, when she began to strip. Jackie claims in the first message that her flight got in 'a little late' and tells her boyfriend she had just gotten to the hotel and was about to take a shower. She then sends him a picture of her outfit, made up of a blue skirt and a revealing peach bralette. ‘I just asked to be connected to you and they said no Jackie (redacted last name) was staying in the hotel,’ her boyfriend responds. ‘I asked if Tom (redacted last name) was and they connected me to room 1422.’ Jackie's jig was finally up it seemed. ‘I can’t believe you think I’m this stupid,' her boyfriend continued, his slew of messages suddenly going unanswered. ‘Organizing a trip with your f*****g boss and pretending like you’re going alone. I knew something was going on between you two.’ ‘BTW there's a suitcase in the second picture you sent me that I know isn’t yours so don’t even try to deny it.’ ‘All your shit will be waiting outside for you in trash bags when you get back.’ ‘Have fun f*****g Tom and F**K YOU,' he concludes. The text messages, which went viral after they were posted on Reddit, did not disclose whether Jackie ever responded. #Palmgossip
