BlackAdam65: this is one advantage of an anonymous forum but it's not cool to post you D!CK on a public forum you didn't even blur the uninfected areas your junk looks gross BTW
Look at European countries, some of these countries are so small but are all countries of people with same identity and ideologies. They all have one common language. Iceland speak Icelandic, Poland speak polish, sweden speaks Swedish etc Yet all the European countries have the strongest union that supports one another and even have a common currency.
But here in Africa, the countries are carved out without regard to peoples ideologies and identities. Fulanis are in Mail, Chad, Niger. Why can’t Fulani be a country called Fulani. Yorubas are in Togo, Benin. Why can’t Yoruba be a country. Same with igbos and the rest. Then a union can be created for the African people with a common currency. We will work better that way and achieve more. There will be more unity that way. That’s divide and rule, cut you into pieces and give you a new identity that’s not real. What does Nigerian mean? Another divide and rule is religion, they gave you Islam and Christianity to continue fooling yourselves and fighting over irrelevant stupid things. I have many things I could type but I don’t have much time.
Una don carry Christianity enter una stupid and senseless skits shey?!
Angels never knack una better slap before obviously.
One day, na one day.........
Una skit makers (content creator by force)......go collect.
This makes no absolute sense to us [/quote]Angels no get better work to do? Na to dey concern themselves with werey wey dey hustle with pay-per-impression dem go waste their slap on?
gisevak: My position on the supernatural is not tied to any religious notion. My position about supernatural is that there are forces or things that humans or scientists cannot explain or prove. You only see religious definition of supernatural but there is more to it. Check the following questions:
How did life begin? It is clear in anthropology that this is a universal question that every culture and religion has attempted to answer. Scientists show that life began as simple chemicals that came together and became the first molecules to replicate. However, scientists still debate how these early chemicals were arranged, how DNA was created, and so on.Scientists also debate the circumstances surrounding the creation of these first chemicals. Some believe they formed in hot pools, while others believe they began with a meteor collision with water. This is still a beyond explanation.
What is the universe made of? Astronomers still cannot answer 95% of the universe. It has been discovered that the atoms that make up the world around us appear to make up only 5% of the composition of the universe. In recent years, astronomers have speculated that much of the remaining 95% could be some kind of dark matter or energy, but the question remains unanswered. What is this dark matter?
We do not currently have the equipment, skills or information to explore them. It's still supernatural.
Exactly what this daddy is saying is it's all natural. Lack of information or means doesn't qualify anything as otherwise. As long as it's permitted and observed by any one in the natural world. No matter the form of perception.
Oh, maybe it does, until there's a later enlightenment and new infos are found and understood.
gisevak: My position on the supernatural is not tied to any religious notion. My position about supernatural is that there are forces or things that humans or scientists cannot explain or prove. We do not currently have the equipment, skills or information to explore them. It's still supernatural.
gisevak: Don't you think we lack of appropriate information to reject supernatural does not exits?
This same lack of appropriate information should still tell anyone otherwise.
I'm not on any of both sides as it is.
I'm just saying whatever one thinks is supernatural is simply because of this same lack of information about the principles involved. And that, once one acquires any sort of understanding of this principles and processes, no matter how minuscule, the supernatural crosses to the other side of one's perception and becomes "something natural".
One example is a demon called salmonella typhi .. You know, this demon was once seen as the handiwork of spirits being unhappy with so and so. Or a sickness due to offending some deity. Many disease causing microbes were once seen like that; demons. But today, that's no longer the case. We now understand many of these microbes to an extent that we can never ascribe anything spiritual or supernatural to them.
So, like I said earlier, the word in itself is a show of lack of understanding of principles and processes involved, nothing supernatural or spiritual, just natural and an ignorant observer, with a lack of enough and required information.
Well, that's how I see the matter. You could hold a different view and funny thing is we could both be right about it all or even wrong...
gisevak: Consciousness is supernatural and metaphysical by virtue of it existing outside the natural and physical world.
My brother.
I'm not sure I understand what the natural and physical world means to you or how you define those two but I'm confident we're both all in the natural and physical world and we're obviously conscious existences. How then do you explain consciousness being outside the natural and physical world when we're obviously here? Hence making it supernatural?
Emphasis on the bolded. But these werey oversabi stiff-necked blockheaded children won't listen...
But no guardian of said knowledge would take the useless challenge serious. If they did, what was the use of hoarding and keeping such knowledge secret and hidden in the first place?
Imagine a Yoruba man was quoted as the challenger. An insult to awon Omo Luwabi.... Omo jati jati ni bobo yen o..
gisevak: Keep deceiving yourself. Can you bring into existence another planet like earth with chemical or scienceYour consciousness is a testimony there is a supernatural. Nature is an example of supernatural . Have you heard of popular tiktoker called untouchable? What keep sun or earth moving?? If you know, can you replicate it Can you prove me wrong with logic or science Try!!!
Please come clear some things for this ancestor.
How does Consciousness prove there's what you call Supernatural ?
And...
How is Nature another proof of Supernatural? Shouldn't all just be Natural ?
Mind you, I presently hold that the term supernatural is among one of the nonsense coined to explain events or principles of nature ignorant and ill equipped humans can't fathom at their current level. Lack of appropriate information mostly leads to calling many things supernatural and spiritual whereas they are all simply naturally occuring matters.
Beniyke1: So? What’s your problem about that if he leaves or not? Abi na you carry am come Nairaland? How does his exit or not relate to the post and topic? Kids like you who sleep and breathe Nairaland are the ones who’ve reduced this forum to what it is today, bullying and spreading hate all around cos you always think everything is a joke and about name calling. Smh…
He simply made an observation and put up a question. Same observation i have also made myself even though not brought to the public yet. What’s wrong about that? Or Must you always talk? If you don’t have anything meaningful to add then you keep shut. It’s an open forum. I also personally threatened to leave a while ago, but just as someone said, “we can’t leave this forum for mad people,” kids who don’t know when and how this forum started years back before they were able to have access to phones and cheap data.
Don't mind these children.. unreasonable Yahoo boys all of them...
Another werey was talking about proving that Okowa took loans...
I just don't understand what's wrong with Nigerians. It's like most people are comfy with the bad governance.
OP spoke about infrastructural facelift, an aspect Okowa failed woefully on, yet some online warriors ignore the main points of discuss and are focused on their suffering induced misbehaviors....smh
No man disrespects any woman close to this ancestor. Even if I be lazy pesin, I still have boys I can call to fvck anybody up... I can even ladle accusations and lock someone like that up . You wey get mond dey follow woman throw blow, you don ready to die be dat.
nairalanda1: Funny thing about this thread is that Nigerians want what the Europeans have without making the sacrifices the Europeans make.
All I know is, if we paid something like N100000 per month in council tax..for everyone earning 200000 per month, you will see nice looking cities in Nigeria. The poor would be more invested in seeing their money is spent right, and the leaders won';t dare steal money.
But it is far easier to engage in self flagellation and call black people dull.
Am out.
So all the billions being looted can't be used infrastructural development ? Yet you recommend the pilferers should be given more? Plus out of the little an ordinary Nigerian manages to get from work (With the current spending power of the naira, that sum won't take care of a family of 5, without them tightening their belt? Not to mention the very low population of Nigerians receiving that much as salary.
We've already seen how they use the funds they can lay their fingers on. No need to give them more.
I just paid my licensing fees for the year, and e don add an additional 1500naira...
1. Why is Mohammed a Warner to the world? Was it to prevent a painful violent death?
You said:
This is obviously a big LIE and you know it.
You are saying theat the purpose of Mohammed was to warn people about dying painful deaths!? Did not Mohammed himself die a painful death? Meaning that he's a false prophet!
2a. Was this verse referring to both humans and Jinn or only humans? b. If the verse refer to both humans and Jinn, how do you think the Jinn would be delivered from a painful death?
It seems you've never read your Tafsirs on Qur'an 46:31. Your Tafsirs brought in the issue of the Jinn not me.
Let me give you some extracts 1. Tafsir Ibn Kathir Qur'an 46:29-32
(And (remember) when We sent towards you a group of the Jinn , to listen to the Qur'an.) "They were at a place called Nakhlah while Allah's Messenger was performing the `Isha' prayer, and (they crowded on top of each other to hear him.).... (O our people! Respond to Allah's Caller,) This is proof that Muhammad has been sent to both the human beings and the Jinns. Thus, Allah says, (Respond to Allah's Caller and believe in him.) Then Allah says, (He will then forgive you some of your sins,) Some scholars say that "some'' here is auxiliary, but this is questionable since it is rarely used to strengthen an affirmative meaning. Others say that it means partial forgiveness.
2. Al-Maududi Tafsir Qur'an 46.29-32 ... On the way, when he halted at Nakhlah, and was reciting the Qur'an in the 'Isha' or the Fajr or the Tahajjud Prayer, a group of the jinns happened to pass by and stopped to listen to him. In this connection, all the traditions agree that on this occasion the jinns did not appear before the Holy Prophet, nor did he feel their presence, but Allah informed him afterwards by revelation that they had come and listened to the Qur'anic recitation. ... This shows that these jinns had already had faith in the Prophet Moses and in the Divine Books. After hearing the Qur'an they felt that it gave the same teachings as the former Prophets had been preaching. Therefore, they believed in this Book forthwith and also in the Holy prophet who had brought it. Authentic traditions show that after this several deputations of the jinns visited the Holy Prophet, one after the other, and met him face to face. When all the traditions related in the collections of Hadith on this subject are read together, it appears that at least six deputations had visited him in Makkah before the Hijrah.... Many years later Ibn Mas'ud saw a group of the villagers at Kufa and said that the group of the jinns he had seen at Hajun closely resembled those people. (Ibn Jarir). This sentence might also be a part of the saying of the jinns, or it might be an addition by Allah to their saying. In view of the context the second view seems to be more reasonable.
Since the Jinn were involved, the painful doom cannot be death but the punishment of Allah in hell except you want to be deceptive.
3. A painful violent death!? By who? And can Mohammed kill the Jinn?
Again, I ask you this question Mohammed cannot kill the Jinn, can he? Who would execute the punishment of painful death on people who didn't listen to Mohammed?
Oh ..
Sorry, I've never read any Tafsirs. Apart from the ones you just posted...
Wetin I lost to go dey find for Quran. Even Bible sef, we read like we read normal novel...
Now you think I'm Muslim, my ignorance on Islam should be glaring enough na...
But never forget. Many died a painful violent death for not believing the words of the prophet. And I just got to know (from you certainly, as I never cared to know) that the prophet too died a painful violent death, the irony of it all....
nairalanda1: You are writing this because your side lost.
And you are very much like the Tinubu supporters.
Am sure if I say that they should prosecute certain leaders you like...you would come out and back them
Anyway, go and lead the revolution, if you really want it. (I am serious)
Even if he wrote that because he took a side and the side lost. That won't stop that his particular comment you quoted from being the only way the so-called common man will ever survive. That's the only redemption the country needs.
Look around you. The politicians are same across the country, yet the so-called common man seems oblivious and continues to fight over nonsense, like tribe and religion.
Like someone stated on this forum... SUFFER NO KNOW TRIBE OR RELIGION.
As for leading the revolution... Hahahaha.. no pray people like us do, it'll be very bloody and many common people will be dealt with brutally for supporting nonsense. Me wey go sit down track any on my watchlist and their family abroad and arrange ways to finish both father, mother and children wherever they are.... E go be like Lord Stalingrad work... Smh
I don dey derail.. But I innately recommend dealing with some scape goats and their families as warning for future political aspirants.
Plus I don't believe any amount of dialogue will change the current status quo.
Countries Like Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE(Dubai) Kuwait e.t.c Are not taxing their people as much and they are growing at a faster rate, They have modern cities and towns
They built all these cities with The revenue they generated from selling crude oil, That's why the middle-east is called "Oil Money" countries
Nigeria has the same Oil, What have we done with it?? The money keep getting Embezzled on a daily basis, Can't even build a working refinery since 1960!
Even if all Nigeria pay their taxes, Which we actually pay, Since they deduct it from salaries as VAT, Even the people in the market selling pepper, rice, foodstuffs are given ticket by the government!!
Even bus conductor, Taxis and okada rider are given tickets, These are tax!!
What have we done with it? They keep looting the money and moving to America to enjoy life!
Stop defending rubbish!!
Word.
Those of us whose businesses requires the transportation of goods can relate. It'll be best if there's a stipulated fixed task to be paid.
I run a registered business, pay the annual trades and licencing, yet I can't send my driver to supply goods each day without giving him up to 10-15k else Tinubu boys and the NPF will not let you pass in peace. Oftentimes, they return with broken side mirrors and if you see my Dyna200, dem don use sticks and whatnot damage the body.
The way I see it is' The government are okay with receiving these taxes illegally in the guise of claiming Nigerians don't pay tax cos if they were legally collected, something would be expected to be done with such collections of tax.
You'd be surprised how much these hoodlums give their immediate bosses each day. Some are required to remit between 80k-200k depends on the location of said illegal collection. Not to talk of the extra the hoodlums will keep for themselves after delivery..... I know this, I use the boys too sometimes to carry my drums if I can't find aboki, so it's from their own account.
Abeg, I too lazy to stress too much about Nigerian politicians and their corrupt practices. It always gets me angry.
nairalanda1: This has nothing to do with IPOB man, a lot of people outside the SE voted for LP, and a lot of other people voted for PDP.
At the end of the day, people are angry and upset. You better face that fact.
Angry and upset with the politicians? A big yes..
Angry and exasperated with many Nigerians? Amso a big yes..
There's hardly any Nigerian who has any little love left for the country(and honestly , I can't find it in myself to blame anyone) I now see election days as free days where we gather to drink beer and mingle..
I was at a location in Lagos where no one was allowed to vote unless you're voting APC. That was during the governorship elections. See as the same Nigerians wey we dey follow suffer inside the same wahala greedy politicians push us enter carry plank and stones dey pursue people wey wan vote. As long as you resemble Igbo, they'll tell you to go to your own state and vote. And there are reports that same happened where LP and PDP had sway.
I no go lie to you. I have no expectations anymore. Since it's clear I don't have enough vawulence in me to cause the kind wahala to put fear in the heart of shameless and fearless pilferers of public funds, I jhus dey smh at my own powerlessness on the matter.
Until we start seeing positive change, no matter who's president (Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa or even a foreigner from Mozambique) it'll be hard for the lost hope for the country to be rekindled.
As for those saying "Nigerians are selfish".. Sorry o, how would anyone be otherwise having been bred in such an environment? A place where if you help someone dying on the road, you don enter police wahala? If a real survey is to be made, the selfless people in the 200m+ might not even exceed a hundred thousand and that's like stretching it already.
We'll still hope that Lord Tinubu does something different from the usual time and money wasting narratives common in every government we've experienced since military washed their hands off the rulership.
Let me prove it to you that it is not about any painful violent death.
1. Read the verses below and Let's look at the verse closely and in context.
Qur'an 25:1 "Blessed is He who sent down the Criterion [the Quran] upon His Servant that he may be to the worlds a clear warner."
Qur'an 46:9 Say, “I am not something original among the messengers, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am not but a clear warner.”
The question is: Why is Mohammed a Warner to the world? Was it to prevent a painful violent death?
2. Look at the verse Qur'an 46:31 and answer the question after it
Qur'an 46:31 O our people! respond to Allah's Messenger and believe in Him. He will forgive you your sins and guard you from a painful doom.
a. Was this verse referring to both humans and Jinn or only humans? b. If the verse refer to both humans and Jinn, how do you think the Jinn would be delivered from a painful death?
3. A painful violent death!? By who? And can Mohammed kill the Jinn?
The answer to these three questions show that Qur'an 46:31 refer to the punishment of Allah which is Hell Fire!
Kill the Jinn? Why mention the Jinn?
All the verses you quoted never mentioned hell as the doom . It all rightly calls our prophet a warner. Yes, a warner. Warner to what? A painful doom. History and real life events explains what this painful doom truly is. A painful violent death...
You quoted that Q-46:31 two sure numbers... and I believe it's clearly talking to people. Living people whom the message was meant for, unless there's a way to proselytize to jinns... And I very much doubt that there's any...
Are you saying the prophet will forgive jinns too? That verse is clearly talking to bloody civilians.
And why do you and Mr Mayn like this so-called orthodoxy definions ish so much? This ancestor was talking about what really went down and what those who didn't "listen to or believe" our prophet faced in many real life events throughout history. It's the same unforgiveness I always warn you about everytime...
There be many things that go down in reality that their orthodox definitions seems incapable of accurately explaining.
An enigma like yours truly is one of such. The words to describe this daddy, dem never still born the person wey go coin am....
Oh, so you think all living animals were taken into the crumped little space in a literal manmade boat?
How literally minded can you be? Think again...
God's hands were involved...
There were secret spatial rooms with thriving ecosystems that could take different animals no matter the special conditions needed to sustain said animal.
Plus, shey miracle dey tire God? It's very easy to send a telepathically charged signal or message across the whole Earth. The animals dem go find their way to the Ark. Problem solved...
To travel across the whole tens of millions of miles of Earth to go gather all the animals, plus many dangerous and vawulent ones like that, you wan finish Oga Noah with stress? You and your AI should goan siddon one place...
Kobojunkie: You know nothing of? The Gospel— Every Word out of the mouth of Jesus Christ— is a set of about 100 teachings and commandments that make up God's Law and Truth in the Kingdom of God.
2. Search where exactly when all you need do is pay attention and obey Jesus Christ, the one you claim to believe in.
And I'm of the notion that God means different things to different people. Whatever it means to you, that's what you search for..
Since you're taking about the bible, I give up... Everyone knows you guys can never find God without your Bible...
Kobojunkie: The secret to finding God is obedience to His teachings and commandments — God's Law. There is no other way or crook you can get at Him aside from this. Even all the prayers in the world can not get you a way around this one mandate which is obedience of God's every teaching and commandment in His Law, Jesus Christ.
How can you claim to keep the commandments of someone you know next to nothing of?
First comes the search.. Nothing wrong with the OP .
It's prolly what will happen to you if you do not heed the words of the messenger. A painful violent death...
You should know what many faced for refusing to listen to or believe our prophet.... They were unlucky to not receive his forgiveness and they were ...
Well, it's all their fault, not our prophets'.. Who told them to be disobedient...
