Bros please can you send a comprehensive email and attach screenshot of your profile?... Let me give you a gist, I got an update status a day after I sent a mail to CIC. Guys please don't be scared of sending mails when normal prosssesing time is passed. I believe it is our right to demand for a response at that point.

Hmmm. Guess you guys (CALASTU applicants) should send an email to the relevant parties about this development. You can use an unknown email if you don't want to be the sacrificial lamb. Treat as urgent and get it fixed as soon as possible

I can't stop asking why a VO will sit on an application for 18wks. So heartless and very unfair. Its more sad when you see/hear another applicant getting approval within 4-6 wks. These people should fear God and do the right thing. I even heard they don't spend more than 10 minutes on every application to make a decision whether to approve or reject. Its very unethical to generate an auto response as the main feedback for every applicants that complain about his or her application exceeding processing time. They even lie that they process application in the order at which they were received. I will suggest they should employ more staff if they are overwhelmed. Rubbish!

Guys. I checked my online account on Saturday and saw updated. When I checked the details, there was no update on my account and all the columns remained the same. I was asked to wait for 24hrs to get a message but no update up till now. Applied April 25th, eligibility status was updated to review on June 1 but no medicals update till date. Please what could have happened?.. Anybody in the same situation?.

It means your file was checked by CIC staff, and by default you will see the updated, u may log in again and won't see it. Give a day or two, u will get the real update of the next stage to your application

was going for PGD delayed purpose of visit and travel history even after medical call

(2ND) APPLICATION 11 April 2017 took like 20 weeks delayed 17 Aug 2016 employment status even after paying full school fees was a pgd also

na so baba Go find Job oooo before reapplying got a job January 9th 2017 this time masters university of Windsor applied march 3 2017 approved 20 July 2017

This visa stuff no easy you need to be humble pray and remember to tackle all issues that come your way never give up please

remember if you have a 2.1 and going for PGD its not easy as before.

Get a masters program get a job if you have finished nysc like 6 months you need to prove that you are doing something with your life

Pay your school fees at list 30% depending on if the schools says.....

I used an agent who advised I apply with my parents as there is a greater chance of getting a Visa if I do.

My Profile
Program Applied for - Developmental Service Worker(Diploma)
NO SOP (drafted one but due to the fact that I went with loads of Document that was forgotten and I only realized when I got home)
Sponsor letter from dad with S0A of 101Million
Paid half the fees as requested by the School, Submitted Proof of this.
Current experience - Branch Manager at my father's company
Previous Experience - Home Care worker in the UK for 4 years.
Education - BSc Software Engineering and MSc Public Health in the UK
Submitted all necessary forms for CIC.
Paper route - submitted May 3rd (on my birthday)
Property document worth over 200 million including pictures
Pictures of all family members
Birth certificate
Affidavit
Notarized all Nigeria documents only
CIC requested for representative form about after a week or two, filled and canceled the use of representative as I realized from research that my agent does not actually count as a representation.
Submitted Upfront Medicals, additional testing requested before the end of May (can't remember the date). Additional tested requested again at the beginning of June, went for it the next day and Medical updated to passed the day after the test was done.
Well, No travel history except that of study in the UK and after I came back I traveled to the UK for 2 weeks.

Every application has it's strength and weakness. CIC attend to all applicants considering their situation which is unique.

The financial power behind this application is material enough for approval. Just pray and remain hopeful. All the best.

When did you get the result for the first application?

Your application might not need to be screened for Security check if you've passed it before (Depends on when you got a verdict on your last app).

Another explanation could be that you have passed the eligibility review and they are waiting for the result of the background check before they would update.

Applied Oct 13 2016 and got refused Jan 10 2017

Your Application was not forgotten it's the Background Check that's causing the delay. IRCC can't do anything about it if it's at the Security Check Stage, which I am almost certain it is.

They will need to get a response from CSIS before updating your application.

Once your Background check is completed they will update your status and give you final decision that same day or the next

@glam4444 information letter is most likely going to be the proof of fund export letter also asking you to pay full fees, please download and check you usually have limited time to get back to them an fulfil the conditions on the information letter

I don't think so. That Proof of funds mail is mostly for applicants with third party sponsorship.

Thank God today has ended. So much delay pressure on this thread for the week. At least I can now sleep and enjoy the next 10 hours without CIC pressure.

No panic here. CIC doesnot confirm account balance. Reasons for insufficient funds is very obvious considering the moniker's earlier post.

Bro, It is very possible your visa is being processed in Ghana and your passport is stamped in lagos. That's why everything works online.
