The Nigerian Constitution (1999) recognises the President as a civilian citizen elected for the people by the people (democratically). President Obasanjo (a retired General) therefore was a civilian when he assumed office! The photo posted is of him in his full Naval outfit as the elected President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed forces of Nigeria ... which of course conforms with the constitutional requirements of his office!

So which of the Obasanjos are you refering to? The one of 1979 or of 2007? Wake up kid!
