AwodwaGyanOniwe: @GraigB
THE PROBLEM IS THEY HAVE NOTHING TO SHOW, WE ALWAYS OVERTAKE THEM IN EVERYTHING.

I gave Agaust his own medicine this morning.
grin grin grin grin grin grin

I LIKE YOUR SPIRIT GRAIGY, THIZA,ZETDEE ALSO.

WE'RE HERE TO "CLEAR STEREOTYPES OF DESCENDANTS OF THOSE WO SOLD OTHER AFRICANS TO WHITE SLAVERS" HENCE TODAY THEY HAVE THIS SLAVE MENTALITY OF THINKING OTHERWISE ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE(All races hate them).
grin grin grin
Agaugust really reminds me of Okonkwo.

He's old and worn out, mentally. The funny thing is all he can do is talk military without even understanding why nations go to war. The bigger picture has never been revealed to him.

And then I wonder what kind of MBA he's got, because the MBA is a generalist's qualification, which is about nothing else but the bigger picture.

Almost everything that the Naai-gerian holds dear and brags about is totally inconsequential. That's why they are behind South Africa, notwithstanding their numbers. They are a nation with an inability to prioritise or see the wood from the trees.

Who focuses on invading other countries militarily in this day and age? Only a Naai-gerian does that. When will that ever happen? Never. So why waste time talking about it? Fook knows!

I remember recently that a lot of them would brag about winning big brother Africa grin . Apparently, this is what they felt they could list as an achievement of the nation of Naai-geria.

Look at their politics. Even their writers talk about tit-for-tat politicking as being admirable. It's the politics of brawn. No charm. No finesse. No smarts.

Because Gadaffi angered them, they had him killed. Because South Africa did a,b,c, they would oppose Nkosazana-Zuma's bid for AU chair. No thinking beyond the here and now.

Such is the Naai-gerian mind today. Such was the Nigerian mind a century ago. Progress? Zero, Kwame. Zero.

patriot4: Wait, let us see:
Nigeria can not invade USA,
but Nigeria can invade South Africa.
I guess you meant USA and not SA, unless you subcontiously equall both of them.
Yes - brawn. Of course, we'll never find out, will we now? We do not even need to find out.

As of today, there's only one form of Nigeria- South Africa invasion. It's called South Africam business in Nigeria and nothing Nigerian in South Africa - other than the Hillbrow types.

That's the difference between talkers (i.e. Naai-geria) and doers (i.e. South Africa).
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by CraigB:
saengine: Nigeria can invade SA? Lol....ok then
Hehe - you need to understand. This is Naai-geria.

Okonkwo tendencies aplenty grin grin grin

_____

Next time you hear an Okonkwo speak like that, you should go:

"Oh, thank you Okonkwo! But South Africa, having spent some time as the biggest source of foreign direct investment in Africa ahead of China, the country now has the biggest FDI outflows coming out of Africa and going overseas. With our friends, Angola, of all countries grin"

And then slap the Okonkwo with the following:

Barack Obama: ‘So the United States views South Africa as a critical partner. As you’ve noted, Africa is on the rise and South Africa is always at the forefront of trends in Africa. I see South Africa as critical to one of my top priorities on this trip -- and that is to promote trade and investment that helps unleash economic growth here in Africa, and ultimately will benefit the United States of America.

We export more products to South Africa than any other nation in sub-Saharan Africa. Hundreds of companies, as you noted, operate here in South Africa. South African companies are investing back in the United States -- like Sasol, with plans for billions of dollars in investment in U.S. energy and manufacturing, including my home state of Illinois. And as the largest economy in the region, growth here can drive growth all across Africa. So I want our countries to be doing more business together.’

catalysts for change:
China is not the biggest Foreign Direct Investor in Africa, South Africa is.

"According to the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development’s (Unctad) latest World Investment Report (WIR) South Africa was the largest ‘developing country’ foreign direct investor (FDI) in Africa between 2006 and 2008, with South African companies having invested an average of US$2,61-billion a year over the period, which was higher than FDI flows from China, whose companies invested an average of US$2,53-billion a year on the continent during the same period. Speaking at the recent South African launch of the publication, University of Johannesburg development economics professor Stephen Gelb, whose Edge Institute contributed to the compilation of the WIR 2010, said that South Africa companies participated in 2,250 Africa projects in 2009. The share of Africa host countries in the outward stock of South African FDI had increased from less than 5% before 2000 to 22% in 2008. In fact, South African FDI stock on the continent had climbed to US$10,8-billion by 2008, covering sectors such as telecommunications, construction and infrastructure, financial services, retail, hospitality and tourism and mining."
Implications from Institute for the Future:
Since this data is from 2008 and the difference between China and South Africa is rather slim, .08 billion dollars, it is possible that South Africa is no longer the biggest provider of FDI within Africa. Nonetheless, it is interesting to note that South Africa is indeed such a big player within the continent. ....

Foreign direct investment to Nigeria, S. Africa fell in 2012-UN

By Tosin Sulaiman

(Reuters) - Africa was one of only two regions in the world to experience an increase in foreign direct investment in 2012 but inflows to regional giants Nigeria and South Africa declined, a United Nations report said on Wednesday.

While global FDI fell by 18 percent last year, Africa bucked the trend with inflows increasing 5 percent to $50 billion, as countries like Mozambique, Tanzania and Uganda reaped the benefits of new discoveries of oil and gas, according to the 2013 World Investment Report published by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development.

South America was the only other region to see a year-on-year rise in FDI inflows, which grew 12 percent, though flows to the Latin America and Caribbean region as a whole declined.

Although West Africa had the biggest share of investment, flows to the region declined by 5 percent to $16.8 billion largely due to decreased investment in the continent's top oil producer Nigeria. Its FDI inflows fell from $8.9 billion in 2011 to $7 billion last year due to political insecurity and a weak global economy, UNCTAD said.

Nigeria is fighting an insurgency in the north against Islamist sect Boko Haram which has killed thousands of people in the past three years.

FDI flows to South Africa slumped 24 percent to $4.6 billion in 2012, largely due to a foreign mining company offloading its stake in a South African subsidiary, the report said.

However, inflows to its neighbour Mozambique, where companies like Brazil's Vale and London-listed Rio Tinto are developing huge offshore gas and coal deposits, doubled to $5.2 billion.

FDI to central Africa surged 23 percent to a record $10 billion, while in east Africa recently discovered gas reserves in Tanzania and oil fields in Uganda resulted in a 40 percent jump to $6.3 billion.

The report also found that African countries, led by South Africa and Angola are stepping up their investment overseas, with FDI outflows from the continent nearly tripling from $5 billion in 2011 to $14 billion last year. (Reporting by Tosin Sulaiman)
And then, Zetdee, go home and have cup of coffee, because you'd be done here cool

South Africans are a forgiving nation kiss

shymexx: In as much as I rate Steven Bantu Biko highly and his philosophy has been influential on my life - I doubt he'll be happy with what the black South Africans are today... I doubt he'll agree with your spooky ways and your skewed mentality!! You may continue to worship your two clowns(Desmond Tutu and Nelson Mandela), however, leave Steven Biko out of your diatribe - he was a black man, not a South African!!

Boer and white britons built your country whilst you lot were locked up in cages in Soweto!!! Don't take credit for the next man's sweat - and the black world gave you your freedom... Heck, you need to worship Angolans and Afro-cubans for defeating your slave masters decisively!! If not for their bravery, you lot would still be in cages with spears like Zulu warriors running around in animal skin!! grin

Obviously you don't want the thread "taken backwards" because your lies about South Africa having derailed the thread have been exposed.

we all ignored @CraigB, @Kwame tut, @AwodwyaGyang insults on nigeria, fine, those are well known spammers/haters of nairaland...

but when @THIZA, @zedtee began to post massive insult comments at random and in rapid mode against nigeria, we have a right to retaliate, we are not fools here....

can i go to south africa and insult a south african without facing retaliation ? they will be.head me with machete !

Bull...!

Thiza was ever so polite from page 4 or 5 on the thread. He was doing exactly what you people are screaming should be done now. But you didn't take kindly to his photos. You called him "insolent" and you att*cked him. At that point, he hadn't even made a single claim. He had only posted pictures.

No only are the stones old. They come from a well known racist forum - white nations.

So when it suits Agaugust, he's happy to use racially-inclined posts, because they support whatever points he wants to make.

Hypocrite, like the rest.

See link below, to see where the pictures come from. This is why he didn't post the link - something that he is usually diligent with.

Rubbish - it is clear from page 4 who started throwing dirt because Thiza was posting pictures that couldn't be matched by you people at the time. You lacked creativity in response, so you decided to att*ck South Africa. You are getting what you deserve.

You even tried to chase him off the thread, despite his attempts to appease you. Nothing has changed.

I too have a lot of info about their rot-sides but I just decided not to post because it's of no use. Each time I see @Gingerbeer, @Kwame and likeminds' posts I just smile and scrolldown. SMH
This is nonsense. Hypocrites are upset because they have been given a bloody nose.

If you go back to 2011, Thiza was the first South African here. All he did was post South African pictures. He att*cked no one.. The first person to att*ck Thiza was Parrot, I mean Patriot. He attacked him because he didn't like the pictures that Thiza was posting grin

Now the same Patriot tells us that we should stick to posting pictures.

But we did that. In 2011 already. And Patriot att*cked us. When a Nigerian told him to stand down, Patriot refused and continued to att*ck Thiza.

Patriot could have simply posted pictures of the Nigerian military. But he was too myopic to do that. All he wanted to do was to att*ck South Africa. Thiza even asked him nicely to not compete, but to please post pictures of Nigerian products. But Patriot didn't care for that.

Now, in 2013, after the thread has gone in the direction that he steered it to, he wants to take the moral high ground and advises us to "post pictures and stick to the topic"

These hypocrites need to make up their minds and decide what they want.

See below how the thread degenerated from its early days. This convo is picked up from the point after Thiza had showcased South Africa - without even attacking a single other nation. And after Patriot had decided he was going to jump on him.
.

This was in 2011 - about page 4 in the thread.

Losers grin

Thiza: I thought the Nigerian forum was meant for show casing and showing military capabilities of every African country not competition of who can defeat who, the argument of military confrantation and victors wont take us anywhere but only indicates a shallow intelligence in discussing issues. Those who advocates such an action are blind and deaf to the reality. Back to to the topic , ERE ARE SOUTH AFRICAN MILITARY PRODUCE WEAPONS, ARE THERE ANY NIGERIAN PRODUCED PRODUCTS AND IF SO SHOW US:
Akwasi: My friend stop this argument. You saw the images that Thiza shown and you are still talking. Nigeria does not even have one jet fighter. Did you see the submarine? Let's end this argument
patriot2: Which country was leading the ANC resistance against the South African army in the era of apartheid ?
I ask you ! It is well known that in those days south African army was stronger than what it is now, yet we brought it to the round table. How many men are there in the SA army ? about 60 000. Far less than that of Nigeria.
How many S.Africans are there ? 50 million. How many Nigerians are there ? 167 million. So in a situation of war Nigeria will not fall short of men and invasion of Nigerian soil would be suicidal even for the US. Where did you get this ridicule idea that SA army was battle tested ? Which battle did they fight , Which battles did they win ? Which peace enforcement did they do ? Nigerian Army is the fourth greatest peace keeping army in the world. Actually N.A is practically the only army doing peace enforcement in the world.
N.A recent conflicts : Sierra Leone, Sudan, RDC, Liberia, Somalia, MEND. These are the only ones I remember.
In times of war it is estimated that the N.A could grow to 5 million personnel and S.A.A only to 500000.
Let me put all these in simple words for you picture boy, S.A.A is in no position to fight N.A.A, it never has been and never will be. Although We are brothers and we do not wish to fight ourselves. But just keep in your mind that there is only one giant in Africa, do I need to spell it for you ?
patriot2: @Thiza You are not a Nigerian so I don't even know what you are doing on this forum. Don't you have some South African forum you could post your pictures on ?

Third of all I am fast losing interest in responding to you. I only thought it was possible to save you. Now I am really tired. Do what you want, be as racist as you want to be. I don't care. Although I would bet you can't do that if i were anywhere near you. I don't want to be racist, because each time I respond racists by being racist myself, I always feel bad a bout it. You go ahead and remind people why South africans are not famous for their sense of morality. Differentiating good from bad is not something you guys know over there. Go on be the racist you want to be.
Idiotic waste
Spare me the sermon, Ok? There are a lot of black South Africans on this thread. Find one of them. Get them to call me racist and then you can rest easy. If you can't do that, you remain an ape.

Now, if there's one thing that i should be tired of (but which I am actually amused by) is the voice of yet another Okwonkwo claiming they will ignore CraigB. You villagers have been threatening to not respond to me for as long as I've been on this thread. Yet, here you are. grin

It was fun when you were calling me names, wasn't it? Guess now it's no longer as lekker lipsrsealed

Oh, but how I'd love to be ignored ! For I can then blog in peace for the benefit of all future readers who happen upon this thread, like I did. But I guess it's hard to ignore hard hitting truths. Try as you might, you can't. Well, good luck this time around, Parrot.
