people are really vulnerable and desperate.

first of all, If FBN wants to do in-house recruiting, they would use an email and not a website.

secondly fbn can never, I repeat, never use that shabby looking blog site for anything.

this scammer just dey use una head drive traffic and possible rip you off.

stop falling victims to this childish scam
You're over thinking. That is not a "blog site", as you put it. taleo.net is a service used by several organizations for recruitment purposes. Standard Chattered Bank uses it, if I remember correctly (sc.taleo.net). P&G also uses it (pg.taleo.net). A bunch of companies in Nigeria also make use of it.

If you doubt me, go through their respective website and access the career page from there.

According to myjobmag.com, First Bank is indeed recruiting. You need to stop writing people off based on what you aren't even sure of. This is how opportunities pass people by.

That they are "tolerated" does not make America a Gay-Country! grin grin

Secondly, those who use Apple Products did not get it fro free and when they bought it, that pervert called Tim Cook did not announce he was GAY! (No wonder he waited till long after I-phone 6 was launched before coming out, such a duplicitous self-servicer! angry )
Thus, if anything at all, those people need to be REFUNDED and COMPENSATED for such deceit! kiss kiss

The problem with Nigeria has nothing to our rejection of these ABOMINABLE INDULGENCE!
Its just "one-less" problem from the many the country, like any other country, faces!

PhonesRe: Apple CEO Tim Cook Is "Proud To Be Gay" by Craven: 5:12pm On Oct 31, 2014
From the comments I've read, it's easy to deduce that Nigerians are angry and bitter people.

This is the way a typical Nigerian thinks; "Anyone who doesn't live according to my terms and beliefs is a lesser human being than I am."

It is so sad that in this day and age, Nigerians won't recognize that "freedom" goes both ways. That you can live your life the way you want to, and other people can do the same. But Nigerians don't seem to want to agree with freedom. Nigerians would live their lives however they want to, but they are usually the first to throw stones at people who choose to live "their lives" the way they want to.

It's sad.

I believe the backwardness of Nigerians is why our country has remained stagnant. Our country is filled with people who believe that because they belong to a particular religion or ethnic group, they are superior to those who do not belong to the same religion or ethnic group. This is exactly why there is so much hate in our country.

Gay folks are human beings also, and they don't deserve to be treated any less. They have every right as you, which translates to mean that they have every right to choose whatever sexuaI preference they see fit.

I'm certain people will read my comments and secretly or openly insult me, and I really don't mind. (Educated individuals do not need to insult anyone to share their views. Only illiterates do.)

Nigerians, you should realize that life is filled with different people, and the views of these people, their beliefs and sexuaI preferences do not have to agree with yours. Deal with it.

Live and let live.

Apps is no longer a problem with windows phone.dey ve got loads of apps in last three months.about 400k apps in their store.all major apps found in android are nnow in windows
This is not true. Applications are still a problem with Windows Phone. Popular apps that were created for iOS and Android a long time ago still haven't found their way to the Windows Phone market. This is mainly because these app developers don't care too much for Windows Phone. And there is usually the fact that major apps take too long to be available on the Windows Phone Store. Example? BBM, Instagram, Flipagram, and many more; they all took months to he available on the Store. The reason is apparent; none of these developers take Windows Phone seriously.

Apps such as QuizUp and Punfound are examples of how frustrating the Windows Phone OS can be. All my peers have these apps, and it is frustrating for me to watch them enjoy them because there isn't a version available for Windows Phone.

Windows Phone might have more apps on their market, but these apps are useless and usually have poor designs.

Yes, Windows Phone have major apps, but then when new, popular apps are being created for iOS and Android, they either take too long to be available for Windows Phone devices or they don't come at all.

When it comes to applications (and if you're savvy with phone apps), Windows Phone is a frustrating device.

If you're looking to purchase any phone, you should consider a few factors.

- The RAM.
- Battery life.

I'd purchase a higher RAM if I were you. Anything less than 1GB of RAM wouldn't give you the smoothest experience. However, the Windows Phone has been designed to work seamlessly, so if you're using a 512MB RAM, you would hardly notice anything. However, there is usually a slight glitch in resuming apps with 512MB RAM Windows Phones, and not too many apps can run smoothly at once. With 1GB RAM phones, none of these problems occur.

The issue of battery life is another thing. I'd get a phone with a better battery power no matter what, nothing less than 2000mAh. What use is a phone with many features if it doesn't have a great battery life?

Other things you should consider should be Camera quality, network connectivity, dual SIM, and so on. For me, I'd pick a phone with an outstanding camera, I love taking pictures. I'm not concerned with LTE and dual SIM, I'll tell you why. LTE might be fast ('might' because the service providers in Nigeria offer poor services), but at the end of the day, it succeeds in making your phone hot and draining your battery. And dual SIM is also unnecessary to me. Battery burner is what I call it. Because you've got two SIMs working at the same time, which will definitely drain battery power.

But people have different wants in a phone, so I suggest you go for whichever makes you happy and, most importantly, fits your budget.

The China market is just one market. It does not represent the world market and should not be used as a basis for judging the global success of the Nokia X series.

Nokia X will be converted to Windows brand? Where did you get that from? Because it's incorrect. Nokia has halted production of the Nokia X android series. They are going to use the hardware to usher out midrange/low-end Windows Phone instead. If the sale of the Nokia X android series had skyrocketed in the global market, then I doubt they'd want to cut off a major source of profit.

PhonesRe: Opinion Pls:which Is Better Between Lumia 520,lumia 630 Dual Sim And Nokia X2. by Craven: 2:41pm On Oct 20, 2014
Do not go for X2. The Nokia X series is a sorry excuse for android devices. The Nokia X series comes with a modified version of Android, which is different from the Android OS you will find on other Android devices like Samsung and LG. Because of this, the Nokia X does not come with a Play store, but instead comes with a Nokia app market that features popular android apps. Also, because the Nokia X series phones comes with a modified version of Android, Google supported applications such as Google Search, Gmail, Google Maps, and so on, are absent. What you will find on the Nokia X series is Here Maps, Bing Search and other poor substitutes for Google applications. The Nokia X is difficult to navigate around and doesn't feel buttery to the fingers when swiping around the screen. In summary, the Nokia Android devices are not all that. They are new to the market and do not have outstanding features. Besides, Nokia no longer makes Android phones. The Nokia X series is their last. If you want to purchase an Android device, I suggest you go for Samsung or LG.

I'd pick the Lumia 630. It comes with the version of Windows Phone (8.1) which means improves features. I disagree very much with GSMArenaNG. Yes, the RAM might differ, but otherwise the Lumia 630 will give you the same service as other Lumia phones. It might not have a massive camera and all that, but that doesn't make it less of a Windows Phone. Besides, the Lumia 630 comes with a better battery power and an internal memory of 8GB and card slot of 128GB. The Nokia X2 comes with his 4GB, card slot of 32GB.

In my opinion, Lumia 630 beats Nokia X, hands down.

I do not own a Nokia Android (the Nokia X series) phone before but I have come across it and played with it. And I can tell you that it's a sorry excuse for an Android device. The Nokia X series comes with a modified version of Android, which is different from the Android OS you will find on other Android devices like Samsung and LG. Because of this, the Nokia X does not come with a Play store, but instead comes with a Nokia app market that features popular android apps. They are new to the market and do not have outstanding features. Besides, Nokia no longer makes Android phones. The Nokia X series is their last. If you want to purchase an Android device, I suggest you go for Samsung or LG. Now for Nokia Windows Phone. I own a Nokia Lumia, and I can tell you it is a beautiful device. It comes with a UI design that is different from that you'll find on an Android phone. The feel when navigating around the phone is buttery, and you can almost feel like the phone is part of the room. What I enjoy most about the Lumia is aside from it's outstanding camera is the battery life. The battery varies according to the model of the phone, yes. But you have total control of the applications that run in the background. This means that you don't have to worry about losing battery power even when you're not using the phone, unlike Android devices. With the new Windows Phone 8.1 update, you have access to new features and apps such as Cortona (equivalent to iPhone Siri), customizing tiles, keyboard swipe, better camera features, and many more. The only setback the Windows Phone has is that it does not have as much apps as the Android (I'm referring to the normal android devices, not the Nokia X series). So while your friends who are Android owners are enjoying new apps, you'll be stuck with nothing if there is no Windows Phone version of the apps. But other than that, the Nokia Lumia devices are spectacular. smiley
FamilyRe: Any Woman That Can't Cook Is Highly Irresponsible. by Craven: 2:33pm On Oct 01, 2014
slimmy05: Absolutely irrelevant and a myopic response. You'll definitely know her cooking skills before you wife her. If she cannot cook then she is not responsible. If she doesn't deem it fit to learn how to cook after several years. She is not only irresponsible, she is a failure.

Stop this annoying kind of response.
Your response is actually a myopic one for the simple fact that you've based a human being's success on cooking alone, not by their work or what they do or even the kind of person they are, but by cooking (of all things). A woman who doesn't know how to cook is only a failure at cooking, not at life.

You speak such crisp English, I half-expected you to have something reasonable to say. I'm disappointed.

A good cook doesn't make a good wife, because marriage itself is not about food. Food will fill your belly, but a good woman with a wonderful character would make a great wife to keep coming home to. Food will not glue your union with your wife, her support and mildness and kindness would.

Now don't get me wrong, having cooking skills is a good thing. But a smart man would judge people, irrespective of their gender, by their character. When you find someone good, you keep them and help them grow to be better people. You don't dispose of them because of a simple flaw such as not knowing how to cook.
FamilyRe: Any Woman That Can't Cook Is Highly Irresponsible. by Craven:
Acidosis: Well Said!

In another dimension, Nigerian women need to quit wasting their money on Hair Products and getting their nails done. Some ladies spend 5 - 6 hours on these fake products, but can barely spend an hour on a decent soup.
I normally won't comment on comments like this, but I feel like I have to.

Is it your money these women spend on beauty products? Does their usage of beauty products affect you in any way? Why have you failed to see that it is their life and they can do whatever they want with it? Don't they have the same freedom as you?

You see, most Nigerians like to think they have a say on other people's lives. They like to say all sorts of rubbish about other people and suggest what they think other people should do. But when other people try to impose the same thing on them, they get angry.

Only a few Nigerians know that they are not living for anyone else but themselves, and so, they focus on their lives only and not what other people are doing.

The same thing goes for this topic. It's surprising that people still maintain concepts from the dark ages. Women shouldn't be judged by their cooking skills or home making skills. A woman is not a kitchen equipment. She is more than that.

A woman who can cook isn't synonymous with a good wife. Because she cooks so well doesn't mean she'll be a good wife. She might be the best cook, but have a bad attitude. She could be the greatest cook in the world and still give you problems. Would you still look forward to coming home to her cooking when you know she's going to pick a fight with you?

I'm not implying that a woman should be a horrible home maker or any such thing. I just wish people would judge women by much more than "cooking" or "cleaning". I mean, can any of you look at your mother and base her responsibility on how she cooks or how she cleans? No. Because she means much more to you than cooking, cleaning, washing. Women shouldn't be judged on cooking, cleaning, ironing, washing. They are not slaves. Woman are people like you. Judge them by their character and how good they are to you and help them be better people.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Access Bank PANEL INTERVIEW Who Else Got It Or Went? by Craven: 9:12am On Sep 27, 2014
Joeny: Exactly, I never believed their claims @all. They just want to exploit us because of the lack of Jobs in Nigeria. They know that most of us graduates are vulnerable when it comes to Job offer. Most of us are ready to do any thing to secure a Job.

I seriously doubt that even if u meet all your targets, that they will keep their end of the verbal agreement. Thats why I declined the offer there and then. The lady tried to persuade me to accept it, but I refused. They even invited me again for the next phase of interview, but I didnt honour it.
I got the invite also but declined to attend. Jobs like this might look fair to people who are desperate, but in reality, they are unfair. Because practically, there is no room for self-development since you're being restricted to one line of job. The bank only seeks to use you until they are ready to dispose of you. Job offers like this Sales/Marketing job Access Bank is offering would only block you from jumping at better opportunities. Like you said the marketing job lasts for one year, so definitely there would be a bond accompanying the offer. And bank bonds are unfair, therefore you can't leave at will. Except you are willing to pay a certain amount of money, usually millions of naira.

If you are an individual with a solid goal in life, sit this one out, because it will lead you no where. It will only waste your time.
