Actually to be honest it is a very true fact, they are trying hard to be like apple,i am a strong samsung/android fan,and there is a reason i hate aple products, now samsung is going down that path fast!! Hp dey gey back to there senses
Apple also ripped off other ideas from other products. It's not like they are so self-righteous themselves. This is the world of technology we are talking about. Brands copy each other all the time. There is nothing new there.

But that is not the point. The poster above complained about non-removable batteries and the lack of a microSD slot. He failed to address that this is a recent development in the smartphone world. We've moved from a world where the thickness of a phone was 2cm to one where a phone's thickness is less than 6mm. For a phone to be that slim, certain adjustments need to be made, certain parts need to be improved. The non-removable battery is a perfect example. They are thinner than removable batteries (they come bare and without any coating since there would be no need to take them out), and as a result, they make it possible for phones to have sleek and thin designs.

There is a reason for every development in technology. Read about them before you start jumping into conclusions.

loooool! Na for inside dream they kill tecno? make dem do quick wake up and apologise.
Tecno is nothing beside Xiaomi. While Xiaomi is considered one of the best Android phones and popular, Tecno is only known in Africa.

The only reason Tecno has the loyalty of their African customers is because they are one of the few brands that offer cheap products. Africans like cheap things. Tecno has seen this, and are giving us what we want at cheaper prices. That's all. Other than this, I don't think there's anything spectacular about the brand. This is my opinion. I'm sure other people feel different.

Xiaomi hasn't arrived the African market yet. But I believe that when they do, they will sweep people off their feet, including Samsung loyalists. Because they do not only offer cheap product, their products come with premium features. This is a fact. Tech blogs marvel at Xiaomi products. Xiaomi is seen as one of Samsung's biggest competitors, something you can't say about Tecno.

The app issue on windowsphone is sickening really!

Let me give a few tips.

Use 6tag for instagram.
Xodo docs for PDF documents (easily one of the best on any platform)
Tubecast for YouTube

If the app issue could be solved, this platform will gain lot of traction in a short while.
6tag is a really good app. But you have to buy 6tag to be able to use the video feature. Other third party apps are also like this; you have to buy some of them to be able to really enjoy them. It's painful sometimes.

Another issue I find troubling is the fact that there are no Launchers to give your phone a customized and different feel the way you can on other platforms. You're stuck with the same flipping tiles, the same fonts, and the same keyboard. It makes Windows Phone have this strict and uptight feel to it. It's really not a playful OS.

I hope Microsoft are able to fix these issues by creating solutions that appeal to users more. Microsoft made this deal with Nokia that prevents Nokia from making other smartphones. This deal with Nokia ends in early 2016. I really do hope Nokia would hop on the Android train. Nokia makes such remarkable and durable phones, they'd really do well with Android running on their products.

They tried to do so with the Nokia X, X2, and XL, but that failed as people didn't really like the Microsoft-tweaked version of Android put on those phones. The version of Android put on the X series stripped out all Google services and replaced them with Microsoft and Nokia service. I didn't like that. I felt it was ugly and bumpy.

I really do feel an unadulterated version of Android on a Nokia hardware would give other smartphone giants some tough competition. I can only hope Nokia follows that route.

This is an old trick. It has always been accessible. I'm surprised you are just discovering it.

But still though, this is just the hard way around. It's just the search button at work here. One should be able to receive notifications without going through the troubles of searching for your username. This feature is not available to Windows Phone and Twitter for mobile web. Other features like videos and group DM are also not available. You have to be using Twitter for iOS, Android, and the Web, to be able to take advantage of all its features.

I am a heavy app user, and I do know what I look for in a phone. Windows Phone doesn't meet my needs when it comes to availability of apps.

I use Twitter, Instagram, Whatsapp, BBM amongst other apps, and I find problems with them.

Twitter - Twitter for Windows Phone lacks many things Twitter for Android and iOS has. You cannot upload videos or watch videos, you cannot quote a tweet with a link or get notified if you've been quoted with a link. You cannot run the group DM feature. It's become annoying. There hasn't been an update in months. It's like the developers of the apps have neglected it completely. You'd expect other third party apps to show themselves, but it's like they aren't ready to pay attention to Windows Phone. The ones that are are painful to use.

Instagram - This app has been in Beta mode for years. It's almost like those who put in up in the Store have forgotten they put something there. It lacks some features also; InstaMessage and video upload.

BBM - This app became available about nine months after it was made available to Android and iOS users. That's a very painful thing; watching your mates enjoy apps while you wait in frustration for the same app to be available for your OS. And when it finally became available, it lacked many features. While Android and iOS users got updates and new features such as stickers, BBM channel, BBM voice and video call, Windows Phone users were still chatting and sending smileys, because that was the only thing they could do. BBM channel for Windows Phone became available months after it was available to Android and iOS users, and even then, it wasn't smooth to use; it was buggy and bumpy. Till today, BBM for Windows Phone still lacks BBM voice and video calls. That's just said.

Whatsapp - Whatsapp for Android and iOS have both gotten new user interfaces. The Windows Phone's version has maintained the same old boring look. Whatsapp for Android and iOS got the call feature months ago. Whatsapp for Windows Phone only got the call feature last month. That's annoying.

Some of the other apps on the store have been neglected and haven't been updated in months. It's like developers have no faith in Windows Phone.

There are a bunch of other apps and games that are essential and are available to other users, but aren't available to Windows Phone users. Even when they ever become available, they come months or years after they were first introduced on other operating systems. In other words, you cannot take full advantage of your Windows Phone.

I should also add, there are apps created by Microsoft that aren't even available to Windows Phone users. This is not an issue to be taken lightly. It's frustrating if you are a serious app user, like I am. It's not something to be overlooked. You say there are half a million apps on Windows Phone, well a huge percentage of them are useless.

Anyone who isn't a heavy app user will not have a problem with Windows Phone. I can tell you fall into that category.

The app issue is something the upcoming Windows 10 Mobile update promises to fix by running reworked Android and iOS apps. I hope they are able to, really. But right now, the lack of apps on Windows Phone and the poor maintenance of the ones available are few of Windows Phone's problems. You might not agree, but that's just you. You can't use your own app needs to define what other people should want in a phone.

Samsung Galaxy A5 - 6.7mm slim. 5.0 inch screen. Very clear display; Super AMOLED, 294 ppi pixel density; makes the screen very vibrant. Corning Gorilla Glass to protect your screen from scratches and cracks. Runs on KitKat, upgradable to Lollipop. Internal memory is 16GB and expandable to 64GB. RAM is 2GB, which I think is fair. A very good 13MP primary camera and a 5MP selfie camera. 2300mAh non-removable battery (you can't remove the back of the phone to get to it), which is fair. This is a very slim phone, and because it is that way, it doesn't allow for a bigger battery. The only solution to this is a power pack. You can get one from Samsung. The Galaxy A5 costs N65,000. What I love about this phone is its design; it comes in a full metal unibody design. [This phone has a Dual SIM version which does not come with LTE. I recommend you get the single SIM version. The Dual SIM verson comes with a SIM card slot and another slot that can be used for either a SIM card or a memory card, never both. Normally it should come with three; two for SIMs and one for a memory card, but Samsung felt otherwise.]

Samsung Galaxy E5 - This is a toned-down version of the A5. If you can't afford N65,000, you might be able to afford the E5 at N43,000. But you will have to manage the plastic body, the 1.5GB RAM, and the 8MP primarycamera. Battery is 2400mAh, which is better. The E5 also runs on KitKat. Other than that, its features are similar to the A5.

Sony Xperia C3 - If you want a good battery, this phone has it. It also has a very good 8MP primary camera with a LED flash and a 5MP secondary camera with another LED flash; your get to take very clear selfies when even it's dark. Display is very good; 5.5 inch screen. You might not like the poor RAM (just 1GB) and the poor internal memory (8GB). If you don't mind though, the C3 is eligible for the Lollipop upgrade and costs N55,000.

HTC Desire 626G+ - At just N49,000 this phone comes with very good cameras. 5MP front camera and a 13MP camera behind. Internal memory is poor (8GB) but it is expandable to 32GB through the use of a memory card. Battery is also poor, which I think is one of HTC's major problems. But it is a pretty phone nonetheless. You might also want to check the Desire 626 which is quite similar.

HTC One M7 - This has to be my favorite. One feature people seem to appreciate about it it's the amazing speakers (Beats Audio). Another is the amazing camera; 4MP at the back and 2.1MP in front. Now I know you might be thinking it sounds small, but this isn't your basic camera. The features of the 4MP camera include; 2688 x 1520 pixels, 1/3'' sensor size, 2 pixel size, amongst other things, and it takes very clear pictures. The RAM for this phone is 2GB. And internal memory is either 16GB or 32GB, depending on the variant you buy. There is no memory card slot. Display is very vibrant with a Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen, 469 ppi pixel density, and Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protecting the 4.7 inch screen. At 2300mAh, the non-removable battery is fair. This phone costs about N70,000.
PhonesRe: Gadgets On A Budget by Craven: 4:00pm On Aug 05, 2015
Hello ShaiMalika

The following devices cost a little over N30,000. But you might like them.

LG Nexus 4 E960 - It has a True HD IPS Plus capacitive touchscreen, which is very clear. The screen size is 4.7 inches which is just a little under 5.0 inches. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 for protection against scratches and cracks. There is also the fact that this is a Google Nexus device. With Nexus phones you get a pure Android experience. This translates to mean that you get updates and bug fixes months earlier than any other Android device. The LG Nexus 4 can be upgraded to Android OS v5.1 (Lollipop, a recent upgrade). It has an 8MP primary camera and a 1.3MP secondary camera. RAM is at 2GB, which is very good for heavy apps. The 2100mAh non-removable battery is fair if you can live with a power pack. The only downside is this phone does not come with an expandable storage. You get either 8GB or 16GB of internal memory. There is no memory card slot. The LG Nexus 4 costs a around N35,000.

Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime - This is a 5.0 inch screen with a very poor display. The TFT capacitive touchscreen takes a toll on your battery power. It doesn't come with screen protection, so you're liable to have scratches and cracks. You have the same 8MP secondary camera as the LG Nexus 4, but unlike the LG Nexus 4, you have a 5MP front camera which is perfect for taking selfies. The Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime comes with Android KitKat. But at 1GB this phone comes with a small RAM. If you aren't a serious app user, you'll be fine. You also have an expandable storage (memory card slot) and a 2600 mAh battery. The price tag is N35,000.

HTC Desire 616 - A 5.0 inch screen with a fairly okay display. The same 8MP camera as the LG Nexus 4 and the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime. A 2MP front facing camera. RAM is 1GB, which is poor if you are a heavy app user. Internal storage is also poor at 4GB, but it is expandable to 32GB through the use of a memory card. Battery is 2000mAh. The HTC Desire 616 comes with Android OS v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean, an outdated version, which is very old) and costs N34,000

Sony Xperia E4 - This phone costs N31,000. And for it's price, it has a good display. You have a scratch-resistant glass. A 5.0 inch screen. It comes with a 1GB RAM, which is manageable, and an 8GB internal memory that can be expanded to 32GB with the use of a memory card. It has a fairly good 5MP camera at the back and a 2MP camera in front. Lastly, it runs on Android KitKat and has a 2300mAh non-removable battery. This means you cannot get to the battery, the back of the phone is sealed shut. But it's not a problem. If you ever intend to change your phone battery in the future, you can always take it to an after-sales shop as they have all the equipments to take out a non-removable battery.

If I were to pick amongst these devices, I'd go for the Nexus. It seems like the perfect device in this price range and offers good features. A higher RAM, a Lollipop upgrade, if you are willing to download it - otherwise you're stuck with Jelly Bean. It also has a very clear display. The only thing I hate about it is the poor storage that cannot be expanded. But other than that, it's a brilliant phone. My second choice would be Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime. Third choice would be Sony Xperia E4. I don't like HTC Desire 616 much because it comes with an old version of Android that cannot be upgraded.

If you can save up some more, you can get the Samsung Galaxy E5. With it's Super AMOLED display, the screen is very vibrant. You also have Corning Gorilla 4, which beats the LG Nexus 4's Gorilla Glass 2. It is a slim device with an 8MP primary camera and a 5MP secondary camera. Battery is non-removable and 2400mAh. RAM is 1.5GB, which is not so bad. Internal storage is 16GB and can be expanded to 64GB. The Samsung Galaxy E5 is a very good device if you can afford it.

And if you can tolerate another operating system other than Android, try the Lumia 540. 5.0 inch screen. 8MP camera behind and 5MP camera in front for very clear selfies (I've used it). You also have a very good battery and a clear display. I should also add that the Lumia 540 would be amongst the first set of Lumia phones to receive the Windows 10 Mobile update. It costs a little under N30,000. And when you purchase it at Slot, you get a free power bank.

China is not a low country that makes trash, like you said. Although China was once known for making fake phones, they have stepped up and are now making better smartphones that are capable of competing with Samsung and other brands. - I shared two tech sites with you on another post explaining this - https://www.androidpit.com/best-chinese-android-smartphones - http://www.androidheadlines.com/2015/03/top-10-best-android-chinese-smartphones-march-2015-edition.html

Unfortunately for you though, Ulephone is not amongst the best China Android phones. You might choose not to agree, and that's okay. But it's the truth. Those who know about phones know what they truly to offer. You cannot force anyone to accept a makeshift smartphone as a good device the same way I cannot force you to see Ulephone as a substandard product. It's your choice though.
PhonesRe: Why "HELLO" Is The First Conversation On Phone. by Craven:
ewizard1:
Oga relax joor...

I can tell anyone Hello. And i repeat, its the official way to greet or present yourself to someone.

Yes & Yes, i can see my Boss in person and tell him hello.

Can you tell your Boss sup? Can you?

Hello is used to get attention which is more like greeting someone.
I never said anything about 'sup'. I never even made any reference to it. I don't understand what it even has to do with my post or why you're bringing it up. The aim of my post was to explain the usage of 'hello'. And I did.

"Hello" is not a serious word. I made that clear and I gave examples where other ways of greeting are used in place of it. The word "hello" is sometimes used informally and as an exclamation. And over the phone, it is a "standard" form of beginning a conversation. This does not make it "official". If you check the meaning of "official" you'll see "of or relating to an office" and "verified officially". Therefore, your sentence, "hello is official," is extremely funny.

You can tell anyone "hello", I actually agree. But nothing makes "hello" more important than any other formal form of greeting. It is a common form of greeting, but it's not "official". It is common knowledge that uttering "good morning, sir" or "good day, sir" when you're meeting someone sounds prim and proper. In fact, what sometimes determines the formality of a greeting is not the word used (either hello or good morning or good day), but how you are addressing the person you are greeting. For example, which do you think sounds more formal?

- Hello/good morning Tunde.
- Hello/good morning Mr. Tunde.

That aside, you refused to answer my question. If the word "hello" is so "official", why isn't it used in an official/formal letter?

The topic above had less to do with informal or formal greetings and more to do with saying "hello" over the phone. And since there are more ways to begin a conversation (formal or informal) other than saying "hello", your stance that "hello is official" is hugely wrong. My point, really.
PhonesRe: Why "HELLO" Is The First Conversation On Phone. by Craven: 7:49am On Aug 03, 2015
ewizard1:
Its the OFFICIAL way to greet someone irrespective of the time of the day.
.
My guy above that use 'sup'... can you say that to your boss? I guess no!
Okay. This is silly, in a way. Sorry. It's just not that serious the way you put it.

Nothing makes 'hello' official. Nothing.

Would it be 'official' to see your President and greet him 'hello'? Or would you see your boss in person and greet him 'hello'? Would you start an 'official letter' with 'hello'?

The word in itself is not 'official'. It could mean anything in different situations. Starting a phone conversation with 'hello' does not mean you are trying to be official. Saying 'hello' over the phone is pretty much the same as saying 'ouch' when you cut yourself. Saying 'hello' over the phone has become more like an exclamation than a greeting.

There are other words that can be used to address an important person over a phone other than 'hello'. I'll give you an example.

Your boss calls you and the first words you use can be 'Good morning, sir' or 'Good day, sir'. That's even more official than any.

I have called several companies and the first thing I usually hear is 'Good morning. You have reached - How may I help you?' Doesn't this sound official enough?

Stop putting so much importance on something so mundane.

Chief I suspect my phone and laptop security has been seriously compromised. Whenever I turn on the phone data connection, it rapidly begins to overheat and run down the battery. This does not happen with other activities like watching videos or playing music. Just the data connection does this. And when I use the mobile hot spot to browse on my laptop, same thing happens to the laptop (system overtasking, overheating, etc). Recently, ad popups have been coming on indiscriminately even within posts on Nairaland. Then I noticed so many redirects running in the background whenever I open new tabs. I tried using Internet Explorer and it crashed. Same with Mozilla.

The phone is a Samsung S2. My Norton Internet security expired and I haven't renewed.

P.S. I saw that your comment about man-in-the middle hacking and visited one site describing the process. Was I attacked therein?

Any suggestions on how to correct this issue?

Thanks.
I'm sorry, I do not know much about phone and laptop security to be able to help you. I also do not recall participating in a thread about man-in-the-middle hacking.

With respect to the pop-up ads troubling you on your laptop, it might have to do with the fact that your security software has expired. It could also mean you might have downloaded some sort of program that comes with troubling pop-up ads. Read here for help - http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/how-to/windows/how-block-pop-ups-get-rid-of-pop-ups-in-windows-7-windows-8-3494487/

I suggest you visit an after-sales shop to deal with your Samsung Galaxy S2. Visit @TeamSuperGeeks on Twitter and ask questions.

Thanks so much for your detailed analysis. How will u rate lumia 540 with these phones considering d fact tht they are in same price range. Thnks once more.
Ah! Windows Phone devices.

If there's one thing I appreciate about Microsoft Lumia, it's the durability of the phones, the battery power, and the good camera. My Lumia phone has fallen several times and each time I pick it up, I am always surprised that the screen is still intact. And the camera also. My phone comes with a 6.7MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics, I zoom in on the pictures I take and I can see the patterns on my skin. The battery power is also great.

My only problem is with the OS. For me, Windows Phone has gotten boring with time. The main issue is the app gap compared to Android devices. There aren't many apps available on Windows Phone. And even when they finally become available, they come very late. App updates also come later than their Android mates. For example, while the Android version of WhatsApp got the call feature months ago, the Windows Phone version got it's update only last month. BBM for Windows Phone also has this problem; some features are missing. I also find the User Interface to be boring. You can't customize the look and feel of your phone much. There is no Launcher to customize your themes, like you have with a Android.

There's a new Windows 10 Mobile update coming soon. This update might solve all the problems of Windows Phone 8.1 and improve user experience. You might want to read about it.

But the Lumia 540 is a good phone. 5.0 inch screen. 8MP camera behind and 5MP camera in front for very clear selfies (I've used it). You also have a very good battery and a clear display. I should also add that the Lumia 540 is amongst the first set of Lumia phones to receive the Windows 10 Mobile update. That's a good thing.

I think people who do not understand what Samsung and other brands has to offer would go for basic Chinese phones. And I can understand that too. These phones are exceedingly cheap. But with the appealing price range, people tend to lose sight of what they're giving up.

I usually tell people, if you want more in a phone and best Android services, you have to be willing to spend more. And if you can't, that's also okay.

Is samsung not a Chinese company? Don't samsung manufacture Chinese version of Samsung Galaxy series? What do u mean by 'All These Chinese phones'?

Stop being biased. Samsung has a brand and nothing else Dat's special abt dem.

What does samsung device has that no other chinese device has?
Samsung is a South Korean company. And I'll tell you what's special about them; Samsung is a trusted company. It is why people will rate them higher over these small brands. It's not being bias, it's being honest. Samsung products have been around for many years, and as a result, have garnered a wide following. People know what Samsung offers through their devices, they know what to expect. Same goes for brands like Nokia, Sony, HTC.

I never recommend Gionee, Infinix and the likes to anyone because they tend to have problems in the future. People complain about phone temperature, battery power, unresponsive displays, poor hardware. You know it. It's something I've seen in abundance on here. These brands are only available in Africa, they aren't known in other parts of the world. They recognize their target market; people who do not like to spend too much on gadgets; and they supply their products to them accordingly. And so you get your cheap phone, but you forget that the materials used in building them are also cheap. That's why many people end up complaining about them. I understand that there are a few good phones amongst them, but can anyone speak of their durability?

There are indeed better Chinese brands that serve as competition to Samsung. Xaiomi is an example. Elephone. OnePlus. Huawei. Oppo. ZTE. Meizu. If these brands were available in Nigeria, I'd surely consider them.

Your Infinix, Gionee, Tecno, are nothing compared to these Chinese products. No one outside of Africa recognizes these products. And I'm not being bias, just honest. Sorry.

The HTC Desire 616 comes with Android OS v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean, an outdated version, which is very old) and costs N34,000.

Sony Xperia E4 - This phone costs N31,000. And for it's price, it has a good display. You have a scratch-resistant glass. A 5.0 inches screen.

If I were to pick amongst these three devices, I'd go for the Nexus.

Hello Epistemology

I never recommend brands like Tecno, Gionee, Infinix for anyone to buy. The reason is these brands, despite the fact that they are very cheap, come with lots of complications. You cannot predict them. I've read a lot of users vent their disappointment.

I'd recommend other brands to you, but they might be a little bit higher than your price range. If you have a few thousand naira to spare, then the following options might be good for you.

Samsung Galaxy Core. Samsung Galaxy Core II. Samsung Galaxy Ace 4. Samsung Galaxy J100. These phones all cost between N22,000 and N25,000. I should add that because they are cheap, their features also come cheap. None of them has a good camera or a good battery or a good display. Although their features might be manageable if you don't plan on putting the devices to heavy usage.

If you are a heavy phone user and you like to take clear and bright pictures, if you also like long-lasting batteries and sleek designs, then the phones listed above are not for you. In fact, you would hardly find a device around N20,000 that offers you a good battery, a good camera, good CPU, clear display, all at the same time.

If you are not bothered by any of those characteristics, then you can get one of those Samsung devices.

Hi olatunji21

If you are an Android person, I'd recommend the following:

LG Nexus 4 E960 - It has a True HD IPS Plus capacitive touchscreen, which is very clear. The screen size is 4.7 inches which is just a little under 5.0 inches. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 for protection against scratches and cracks. There is also the fact that this is a Google Nexus device. With Nexus phones you get a pure Android experience. This translates to mean that you get updates and bug fixes months earlier than any other Android device. The LG Nexus 4 can be upgraded to Android OS v5.1 (Lollipop). It has an 8MP primary camera and a 1.3MP secondary camera. RAM is at 2GB. The 2100mAh battery is fair if you can live with a power pack. The only downside is this phone does not come with an expandable storage. You get either 8GB or 16GB of internal memory. The LG Nexus 4 costs a little over N35,000.

Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime - This is a 5.0 inch screen with a very poor display. The TFT capacitive touchscreen takes a toll on your battery power. It doesn't come with screen protection, so you're liable to have scratches and cracks. You have the same 8MP secondary camera as the LG Nexus 4, but unlike the LG Nexus 4, you have a 5MP front camera which is perfect for selfies. The Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime comes with Android KitKat. But at 1GB this phone comes with a small RAM. If you aren't a serious app user, you'll be fine. You also have an expandable storage and a 2600 mAh battery.

Internal storage is also poor at 4GB, but it is expandable to 32GB. Battery is 2000mAh. The HTC Desire 616 comes with Android OS v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) and costs N34,000.

If I were to pick amongst these three devices, I'd go for the Nexus. It seems like the perfect device in this price range and offers good features. The only thing I hate about it is the poor storage that cannot be expanded.

If you have an additional N8,000, you can get the Samsung Galaxy E5.

Isn't that the darndest thing?
Comparing full Samsung sales to 10 iPhone models even if 5 have been discontinued?

The fact is Samsung S4 ± note 3 solely can't beat iPhone 5s in sales
Samsung S5 ± note 4 solely or combined won't beat iPhone 6 ± 6plus

With all Samsung sales, their bulk of sales have not been from their flagship but from their entry level phones and iPhone's premium phones are still neck to neck

Goes to show Apple is better
If you read my previous post, you'd see where I wrote: "The sale of individual smartphone product might differ, but Samsung maintains the lead overall."

That aside, you keep saying how Samsung products paired together can't beat one Apple product. Those are just your words. Other than you claiming one product surpasses the other in terms of sales, do you have a source to back up your claim? If you do, I'd really like to see.

Meanwhile, total sales for Samsung flagship devices include

Samsung Galaxy S - 25 million units
Samsung Galaxy S II - 40 million units
Samsung Galaxy S III - 60 million units
Samsung Galaxy S4 - 40 million units
Samsung Galaxy S5 - 12 million units in the first three months (total units sold hasn't been revealed)
Samsung Galaxy S6 - 10 million so far

If you like add Samsung note series, mega series even imagine any other series join am plus their electronics department, e no go reach Apple
That's why they're the leading company in the world ahead of Google and Microsoft
If Samsung has sold over 200 million units of the Galaxy S series smartphones alone, how many do you think they'd have sold if you take into consideration other series. There's the Note series, the A series, the E series, the J series, the Y series, the Ace series, the Grand series, the Core series.

Samsung hasn't released a figure yet, but according to the International Data Corporation, Samsung has ruled in smartphone sales for years. From 2012 and 2015, Samsung has topped the charts in smartphone sales, over Apple. This can only mean one thing: If Apple has sold 700 million phones, Samsung has sold more.

I didn't make up the figures. If you're still in doubt, check here. - http://www.idc.com/prodserv/smartphone-market-share.jsp
