I am lecturing in Katsina state and the area I am living has rooms built for students.

Even in christian states like Plateau and Benue, you will be surprised to know that most of them speak either English or Hausa but that doesn't make them Hausa people by tribe. They are minority.

There is a huge cultural lag going on in the north. A lot of Gwari, Fulani, Nupe, Kanuri people mainly speak Hausa these days.
