shymexx: Maybe, you need to check the thread about Lagos this morning - and a couple of other threads where I called ACN out for not being a proper opposition party, lacking ideas, and not doing enough for the people...You can ask Gbawe and Eko Ile how we go at it sometimes.. I don't believe in ACN's manifesto because the party is basically the same as PDP(extreme capitalists) on paper... However, I can't deny the fact that it's still the lesser devil...So at least you cleaned up your lie about me being a PDP apologist How you got "I love PDP from I hate them all" only one God knows. |
shymexx: Comprehension has never been your forte - can you cite where I called America a 5th world country?? And who give a hoot about what Nigerians think - I debate academics on the GuardianUK CIF and I'm one of the most rated commenter on there, that's all I care about...Well you are talking about my hone country....which is the United States of America ![]() Lol you sure have a lot of unverified titles and accolades, despite never stepping foot in Nigeria you embody the Nigerian spirit, well done ![]() How can you have no immediate family in Nigeria if you claim to have ancestry in Lagos. Immediate family includes: Someone’s spouse, parents and grandparents, children and grand children, brothers and sisters, mother in law and father in law, brothers in law and sisters in law, daughters in law and sons in law. Adopted, half, and step members are also included in immediate family. See also first degree relative. So are you saying that most of your family is in the UK The North has drier weather, the South has more humid weather due to the tropical surroundings. That's something your friends at Wikipedia can inform you of. Your London is constantly cloudy and dreary yet you still see folks out and about. People tend to roam about when there is something worth going out for. And yes in NYC and Chicago, streets are still busty even in Winter ![]() Props for what? Like I said, roads are not some new fangled technology being introduced. Nigerians deserve roads. Period. I'm not about to thank someone for doing their damn job. According to the Nigerian census the North is heavily populated, so where are the people? How can Onitsha, according to the Nigerian census, with 500,000 people have busier roads than a place that is supposed to have a million plus residents ![]() Of course its BS to someone who can only talk about Nigeria through Google images ![]() London history of filth is well known, the rats London had in its history were more that NYC could ever amass in all its years of existence. The Black Plague, Cholera , and God knows what else called London home at one time or another. NYC is the financial capital of the world not London. When America sneezes the world catches a cold is a saying for a reason ![]() NYSE and NASDAQ are larger than London. |
lacasa: I can see the South Easterners on board (this thread) claiming intellectual superiority alreadyWhat are you blathering on about. Instead of wondering how on Earth can you have a cut off zero as a score needed to get into college you are here doubling up on your tribalism Grades are important because they are really one of the few quantifiable statistics that we have to determine if one is actually understanding the material. Or should we just judge based on feelings? "I guess you understand Algebra so you get to pass" Are they the end all be all? No, but how on Earth can you claim you want development in your country and can't even determine if your students know their left from their right. The fact that you some how have a region detector for post s speaks more about you more than anything else in this thread. You had people from the SE , SW, and etc criticizing this mockery of education and you only find time to look for SE people. |
shymexx: And you're also a freaking PDP apologist, yet you want to talk about good governance, no?? Rate the damn place for being better and more habitable than the ramshackled and smelly Southern Nigeria..Since when, I said to you this week that all Nigerian political parties are crap. You really don't need to lie ![]() You on the other hand will never bad mouth ACN for one day ![]() |
shymexx: I don't need to brag about what I've got and I don't brag about it, hence why I'm proud to associate myself with the ghetto where I was raised... I'm not ashamed of anything regardless of how you loose mouthed cretins from a 5th world cesspit always want to cite that... I'm self-made and I was getting paid when most of you clowns were still hiding under your parents... and I'm highly educated as well..But you just did brag,, but whatever dear. No one will say you were ever known for your cleverness ![]() America is 5th world. Good to know Yes because we all know know that everything said by everyone on the internet is true. I have a pony and and a 24kt gold plated bathtub Self made indeed. Why you get all this money and never find time to go to Nigeria They accept pounds in Naija ![]() No one is even comparing Sokoto to a first world city development-wise, my comparison was based on the emptiness of the streets. From what I've heard this is supposed to be a pretty big town yet its so devoid of atmosphere in these pictures. You don't need to be busy like Lagos but its are to call yourself a city when the roads are bare like that. You see the same kind of emptiness in Detroit, a former boomtown. The roads are ok, they suffer some of the same problems most Nigerian roads have. Lack of maintenance (redrawing of lines and cleaning up debris). But roads are a given to me, I expect a place of that size to have good roads and when I see Nigerian towns and cities lacking its a disgrace because its such a basic thing. The fact that you think the North is medieval is on you, I've seen some Northern cities on SSC. The same thing decent roads and not much else. South Eastern cities are busy, the roads are poor but I doubt that you can find empty streets in the SE like you have here. Which is what I was comparing ![]() Once again please tell me what I should be jealous of? Things that have no bearing on my life Yes I am totally jealous of a country where electricity is a luxury, death trap roads, and the lack of essential services. How can I get in on this wonderland known as Nigeria Lol are talking about London that is synonymous with filth. Lol half the case studies of disease in history come from London. You guys set the dirtiness trend others just follow. Even the filthiest place in NYC will be beat by our Cousins. By the way are you not part of the Desola brigade that wants to make Lagos Yoruba only, yes you are the epitome of a non bigot ![]() |
shymexx: She makes that stupid comparisons every time other regions/ethnic-groups are being discussed.... However, when it's her region/ethnic-group, she'll defend it by citing useless and asinine crap!! She's just a jealous hypocritical bigot!Jealous of what? At then end of the day I don't have to give a crap about Nigeria, I live in a country where the basics are all present. I care because I actually want to see Nigeria progress. And how do I defend a region or ethnic group? I have no region and the last time I checked I'm African American which last time I checked is not among the 250 groups of Nigeria. Nigeria's infrastructure is poor everywhere which I say all the time. You have nerve to call anyone a bigot ![]() |
ba7man: I know that dude....Always making comparisms of Nigeria and USA. Very unintelligent for doing that. Its almost as if he thinks both countries are on the same page. In a country where people are used to seeing pot-holed filled roads and dirt tracks, they'll definitely get excited seeing tarred roads but d fool can't process that info. A fool in Africa will remain one in the USA. The environment in Sokoto is not world-class or the best but at least they've started making an attempt to improve things. Progress might be slow but give it time and who knows where they'll end up. He reasons like he uses Crayola....that's even if he knows what it means.Oh go jump off a cliff in a country blessed with all the natural resources that some countries dream of having you people are hear celebrating the bare minimum. No wonder Nigerian politicians think their citizens are id.ots. You accept mediocrity so there is no need to do better than the bare minimum. In a country where people are used to seeing pot-holed filled roads and dirt tracks, they'll definitely get excited seeing tarred roads but d fool can't process that info.Exactly my point, why is Nigeria still at this stage (let's even start at the point where Nigeria returned to democracy in '99)? I promise you that if we go back 10 years from now nothing will have changed, because hey "at least we got a road derp derp" What does this damn country do with its money that roads, which are part an parcel of development should need a standing ovation? Only in Nigeria there will be ribbon cutting ceremonies for tiny roads, not a bridge or something of substantial importance...a road. If you like you can stick a 64 count of crayola's up your a.s.s, I hear pompous and clueless fools like you enjoy that kind of thing. |
shymexx: Who lives in a public assistance housing?? I doubt you can afford to live where I live, to be honest... Some of you just run your mouth on the internet just because the internet allows anonymity and crassness!! Don't even go there because I'll disgrace you when I start posting pictures - and I'll dare you to do the same... The car I drive will probably your wages for 2 years(that's if you have got a job, by the way) - and I'm self-made!!I hear sir, we are all millionaires on the internet ![]() Yet you get to run your mouth about Nigeria despite never setting foot in the country ever? Hypocrisy much ![]() Jealous about what? Please let me know what I am jealous of And only a jacka.s.s in this day and age is applauding the fact that their government provides roads (something that is a given in most of the world) a basic amenity. Dude your poverty is showing |
shymexx: WHy can't you give give props where it's due? - and how does well paved roads look sad and depressing when what's attainable in the dirty south(home of noisemakers) is a million times worse?? Sokoto looks habitable compared to most parts of the South!Which credit I don't hand out undeserved credit. This is supposed to be a large town or small sized city and it looks like its on its last leg. The place is like the towns in America where factories have closed up and the area is now a shell of its former self. The roads are not even new, they are quite old by the fact that the street markings are no longer visible. For someone who lives in public assistance housing a few green trees is all you need to be excited. Color me unimpressed. |
It looks like a boom town gone bust like the ones in America. Desolate and a bit dull, like life has left the place. So I guess if I ever get a chance to head North better stay in Abuja then. |
omayyi :I'm waiting to see the beauty. Nigeria by and large is a sad example of a project gone horribly wrong. The photos look sad and depressing. The buildings lack luster and brightness which is odd considering the decorative style Hausa people have for their traditional architecture. The only thing any of us is going to have is a high case of bordem if this is what you consider faaarrr beautiful. |
Make me a mod then. I can't stand any of you so I'm objective as they come. Matter of fact I have a simple one point plan to reduce tribalism in this section: Ban every last one off you. Banned until Jesus returns Vote crayola, tough on tribalism from every side ![]() |
Fulaman198: If that was the case, why didn't we force the Hausa to start speaking our language? For the love of God have you forgotten your uncle Dan Fodio last time I checked he was not exactly spreading the good word of the Quran peacefully? ![]() So after you kill and maim and take over someone's land you find the kindnesd in your heart to speak the language of the folks you just abused How thoughtful |
Desola: but you really didn't see Jarus working alongside that bigot, do you?Thank God. If Jarus packing his bags gets you to shut the hell up I am for it x10 ![]() There is a God ![]() |
China_Made: ibo lady crayon make colorful jokeAre you a lesbian? And if a pair of jordans can fall into your V-jay jay that is a medical problem ![]() |
shymexx: Have you been to Eastern Europe?? Oh well - you need to travel more because the worst of Portugal will always be better than the best of Latvia... Many African countries are actually well off compared to Eastern Europe a la the shytehole of Europe!!!Eastern Europe is not perfect but a lot of places are seeing good growth , Bulgaria is one. Isn't Portugal, Italy, Spain, and Greece in Crisis mode? Are they not in Western Europe. You talk as if all of Western Europe is solvent when its really on Germany , Norway, and etc that are ok. UK is not doing well either which is why you people were rioting like Early 90's LA for a solid week almost. And were throwing rocks at Charles and Camille after school fee hikes. No one said all of Eastern Europe is doing well neither is all of Western Europe ok. They are committing suicide at high rates in Greece over the economy as we speak. ![]() No dear you are not a fast learner, if GDP was all that matters then the US should be number one in every ranking because we have more money per capita for a nation of our size. But we are poor when it comes to education, health care, and etc. cost of doing business here is less competitive than some of European counterparts and even next door neighbor Canada. All GDP says is that we can buy products it is no guarantee that businesses will set up shop in your area. Which is why American car parts are made in Canada and assembled in America. Its also the reason why you go to plenty of hospitals and see the bulk of the workforce being comprised of foreigners. Having a high GDP does nothing for you unless you can utilize it effectively, otherwise it would be Nigeria that is Africa's tech hub and not Kenya. Google has a very big HQ in Nairobi, what does Nigeria have tech-wise? There is a big thread on SSC that talks about tech growth in Kenya. Nigeria will be considered because of its size, but some investors will not bother because of the hassles to do business in Nigeria. Nigeria is winning on a technicality and not because there is actually improvement in the business sector to let FDI come in. Ok so the choice is between being shot in the leg or being shot in the stomach. What a choice ![]() And why joke about something like that what happened in Plateau reflects negatively on all Nigerians. |
In my opinion all sides are guilty on some level the only thing is the fact that Seun let it get to this insane level is the really bad part. I'm not for total censorship but the way certain threads are made for one purpose (to bash) and then immediately sent on the front page for maximum views says a lot about how this place is run. On some level if the owner ever wants to get to that next level things are going to have to be curtailed, controversy sells but the ironic thing is that few folks want their named tied to smut. |
I don't know why you guys let Chino antagonize you all the time ![]() |
Bolushalom: Ok! U wanna have d last word? U have it! Lol!Thank you dear, its pretty big of you to let your superior have the last word I must say you are the most polite baboon I've ever met |
Bolushalom: u re truly ibo....dnt av tym 2 answer u, it'll jez go on and on nd im getting bored by u already...Like I thought. Not a damn thing ![]() Oh so you suddenly got bored when you couldn't even back up your own ignorant position, surprising? If anything your stupidit.y is a blemish on Yoruba people and not the other way around. Im sure they flog your parents in the village daily for cheaping out on the condoms. Deal with what? You are a loser nobody that has nothing going on in her own life so she needs to crib on others accomplishments. Its not me dealing with you, its your own sorry excuse for a life that is beating you down you have my pity dear. |
shymexx: The literacy rate in Portugal is 95% and for Latvia, it is 99.8% - does that Latvia more viable than Portugal??At this point yes, you haven't heard the Portugal is in bad shape? ![]() And your GDP argument only goes so far when the US has a higher GDP than Germany but Germany has a better economy. Things like cost of doing business (which includes health care, a good talent pool, and etc) matter. Once again Nigeria has a higher GDP than a lot of African countries but other places have better HDI and infrastructure which is why Kenya is becoming Africa's IT destination despite GDP. You have all this money yet poorer states have a bigger talent pool. What will end happening is that they will use you as the base of opperation and hire the folks from outside with the skills. Something Nigeria is very familiar with. Nigerian parties are all the same contrary to what some of you guys console yourselves into believing in. If they were any different you goqlks would not be falling over yourselves when either side builds basic amenities like roads, bridges, and etc. They are all doing the bare minimum, nothing bold like Eisenhower and the fed. Interstate system or Universal healthcare on a state level (like Romney who disowned it). You need more than a damn road to get my approval. |
dayokanu: I watched the Chris Hansen program and all those guys were Igbos. Those are the guys who spoil Igbo namesIts a lie Dayokanu those were Yoruba accents my friend. Stop playing The guy was trying to reach Madolf levels If you are going to thief might as well go for the gold or you can stay safe with credit card skimming. I don't keep a running tally of which gender of an ethnicity is more successful. What I do know is both groups are successful in their own right. I think its was an Igbo guy who was the first black mayor of some town in Russia or Eastern Europe somewhere and then you have Dora in Nigeria who has her own titles. Most people marry their own at the end of the day so don't hold out for Nkiru ![]() Im not getting married to anyone from this crazy house and lastly just because I like Igbo people doesn't make me Igbo![]() |
shymexx: Exhibit 1: You never conceded that Oyo's GDP(higher wealth creation) was higher than Anambra's... If you did, you wouldn't have argued against the assertion that Oyo is richer and more viable than Anambra... All the other indices don't count in this context, hence, why I disregarded them...I said the GDP is not the only factor that matters in development which agrees that GDP of Oyo is higher. Next I said since Oyo has a better GDP why has this not translated into other socioeconomic indices like literacy? You then proceeded to say GDP is all that matters and I gave you several examples that show GDP is not the end all be all. And you ignored it. You folks as in the ACN brigade, the PDP hater squad, the folks in here trying to bad mouth Anambra. Only you would think it automatically means Yoruba people in every instance. |
Bolushalom: LMAOTell me the benefits of being Yoruba so I can figure out which part I should be bitter about ![]() I would never form the habbit of agreeing with the mentally ill so don't get your hopes up ![]() I'm glad we all can get a good laugh out of your stupidit.y it be useful for something Would it kill you to spell out basic words jesus, is the 3 letter word "now" that much of a stressor on your fingers you can't manage to use the "o". I bet this is the same way you write your papers in school, in your case it doesn't matter since you are doing extra credit under the desk with your professor ![]() |
dayokanu: Its different In some part of the country the men are lazy while the women are very hardworking yet its the same tribeYou sound like those white people who make a distinction between black and the "good blacks". So you like Ngozi but her brother is a good for nothing criminal? How does that work. Are they not from the same mother and father? Everyone has their black sheeps. You guys make fun of Igbo people doing drug runs to Asia. But in the US if a Nigerian is in the paper for Fraud its often a Yoruba person listed. On Dateline's to catch an internet scammer it was all Yoruba guys Chris Hansen met in the UK and Europe. Go look it up the vids online. Should I now say Yoruba women ok but its their scamming men I should be worried about? How do you guys rationalize this stuff? I want pretend like I understand ![]() |
shymexx: Are you not a tribalist as well?? And what happened to changing your Igbocentric views and being more objective??Im objective, I conceded the fact that Oyo's GDP is higher than Anambra's but you didn't not want to admit that on certain indices Anambra is ahead of Oyo. Just because I like Igbo people doesn't mean I won't call a spade a spade. I'm not tribalistic because never for one day have I said Igbo people are better than Yoruba people because they are Igbo. Or that Yoruba people are this and that. You just saw someone said I was bitter because she thinks I wish to be Yoruba. I insulted her as a person and did not lump Yoruba people altogether with that jack.a.s.s. You on the other hand lump all Igbo together and claim superiority on the basis of ethnicity. All the time. Its not even the same. |
Aigbofa: What the hell are you talking about?I will pray for you and Dayokanu so you can be delivered from the tribalism curse ![]() That makes no sense Dayokanu is it not the same people who give birth to those men. You can't hate one without hating the other this is not Burker King where you do a la carte. ![]() |
