re@lchange:Im aaking question because it seems like even pissing in ones home is regulated by Abuja.. So if Lagos stops existing today you will all commit suicide, because there are no other options? |
asha 80: man you are not making sense.the brigde connects delta state and anammbra state. So what is the solution then? I'm hearing a lot of what cant be done and not alot of what can be done. Are the only rights guaranteed under your constitution the right to be born, live, and die? Permanent victims of circumstance? |
asha 80: it is not about what you wrote above.it is about the reality on ground.there is a reason many people are only migrating to abuja, lagos and to a lesser extent portharcourt instead anywhere else in the country.Borrowing money is out of the question? Are their other resources can be utilized and dont come out of the ground. You troop because you accept the card dealt to you. |
asha 80: is the niger bridge in anambra alone?what about delta state?what if delta state is not interested?going by your logic why don't edo and ondo rehabilitate sagamu-benin-ore expressway since the bad parts of the road are in those state?Another excuse. If Delta is not interested should that stop you? So you will continue to drive a deasly rickety bridge? Sometimes you have to go it alone or screw yourself over a little for your own benefit. But because you are afflicted by cheapness and what's in it for me syndrome you rather fight here for a glorified shytehole and be insulted on top of it. Find your balls and be a man. |
asha 80: one question for you?can you tell me of one state in the country now where people are flooding into now as was(and still) the case of lagos or as in the case of abuja? So you will forever remain in neutral and beholden yourself to the whims of others? |
bittyend: You're a citizen by birth but your rights are limited. Wikipedia...and it doesn't even support your point. If they have more rights then why are Native Americans the most marginalized minority group in the US? Yes even African Americans, Hispanics, and etc are in much better shape than NA, unless you honestly believe they all have casinos and living the highlife. I'm African American so I get to stay put, Babatunde must go though ![]() |
asha 80: ermm... the lagos sea ports, international airport, were not state projects.if you know the traffic those sea ports attracts then you will appreciate what i am saying.also there is a reason people are flooding abuja as we speak. To be honest I see this more as an excuse than a valid point. There are things that state governments have control over and don't do. If Anambra for example built infrastructure and made itself attractive to foreign investment , do you think the FG will turn down money from investors just to spite Anambra? Abuja is full of idiots, but not complete idiots. If Abuja wont rehabilitate the Niger bridge what stop Obi from requesting the funds himself? If you really want to do something you will find a way, hell or high water there is an answer that doesn't require the input of Abuja. Its just that you have accepted things one way and anything outside of that confine area is not considered possible. |
Zoning, zoning, zoning |
bittyend: When did you become a Cherokee? Native Americans have the final say over there. The Governor of Lagos State is from the State and his position is final. When a Cherokee/Native American becomes the POTUS, then whatever he/she says is final. Till then, all the Nigerians who're in America legally are allowed to say.Which Native Americans? You don't even know the laws of your own land and you are butchering mine You wish, naturalization is not the same a citizenship by birth. Tunde is coming home ![]() |
asha 80: well maybe it is time 'traffic' is 'diverted' away from lagos right?Fg should focus infrastructural development to other places right? Can't some things be done without the government, surely if you are waiting on deliverance from Abuja you have pretty much made your grave. |
bittyend: I believe those from Lagos also want the 'sanity' you enjoy by living in USA. So, I guess this is a step in the right direction. Say NO to illegal aliens in Lagos-zonal, they're getting rid of their ownIf that's the case then the scamming Nigerians who are of various origins need to pack up too from the US and then forwarded to their final destinations I believe one of your brothers, Tunde Babashola, is currently cooling off in Rikkers in Cell Block D |
A Lagosian is like the sand, a title that shifts to fit whatever the people at the top decided it to be. If Fashola wants it mean Yoruba then let it mean Yoruba and go on with life, it will be hard to start anew at first but its not impossible. |
bittyend: ^They won't miss you one bit. They built their city from the scratch and they have continued to expand it. Lagos is older than Nigeria, and it will continue to flourish when Nigeria is dead and buried. Why should anyone be missing me? I live in a sane country called the United States of America ![]() I leave this nonsense to the functioning educated illiterates of Nigeria. Just make sure the oil is ready on the 5th of the month like usual ![]() |
A blessing in disguise in my opinion. Leave Lagos for the "indigenees" and work on your own and in 20 years time compare and contrast ![]() |
Jesus must be jabbing the nails in deeper each time amor4ce evokes anything about his religion. |
sheyguy: I am not an Igbo leader bros . . . You can derail the thread if you want to and get personal with me . . . In the end it does not change the harsh reality on ground. That you are a complete buffoon We knew that already ![]() Point to me in Nigeria anywhere that is functioning properly and I'll show you a bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell you ![]() Are there secret lands of milk and honey in Nigeria that you know of? That boast of good governance, good public services, and the like? Oh are you going to quote me the mediocre crew of folks that do the bare minimum, which is a lot in Nigeria? At a certain stage Nigeria better start importing leaders because its clear that politicians in power have no clue. |
Backwardsness at its finest, wouldn't it make more sense to fine the churches? Even the most bold church would change their act if they have to cough out some cash for every violation. People get peace and quiet and money fills Lagos Coffers. This is the man that will be President may God have mercy. Degrees and titles are not always proof of an enlightened mind. |
If that's the case Nigeria must look everywhere but Nigeria for sensible leadership ![]() ![]() |
The focus on presidency is too much. If it were me I would divert focus from it and allow the supposed "political geniuses" of the country take it and do what they do best (which is mess things up). Stop waiting for goveenment to commission projects that can be taken up by local levels of power. Work on rebuilding a strong tax base to fund projects and make your state/region the envy of others. Build your party of choice beyond regional areas. Advertise your success and make it known that people from this party are for the benefit of Nigerians. Then you contest. Only a man who hates himself will vote for a useless candidate over a performer. |
I think all this Presidency talk would better spent working at a local level, Governors/LGAs so that when the time comes you have a record of improving the lives of people in your area then people will be hard pressed to not vote for you. Also if you want to consolidate power, with AGPA for example, all states in the region (with credible leaders) need to be under the umbrella, and then from there expand the party's reach making it an inclusive party. In order to get the guy you want you need a base. But I would hope the quality over quantity will always be priority otherwise it will be like exchanging one devil for another. Despite the crowing of some folks here, I think a good Igbo candidate has just as much chance as anyone else but that person would need a record ![]() |
He's rethinking his role in the Tinubu/gbawe/ACN empire. This was akin to telling a child santa is not real ![]() Soul searching is going on... |
Lmao a blood bath happened here and from the person most people assumed was tighter than white on rice with Gbawe ![]() These are the times... |
Ojika Juju is effin' hilarious I may not agree with everything he says but its still funnyI didn't know Mr. Igbo INC had a serious side ![]() |
Dudu_Negro: Why, you wan go claim Sierra Leone as iboland? No stranger than you claiming Saudi Arabia as your home is it? ![]() |
I don't know if it should be a big priority now or if people will agree with the revisions but its not strange for countries to do this: One of India's largest cities Mumbai was reverted from its British corruption Bombay in the 90's Peking in China back to Beijing Sometime countries keep the names or spellings because its well known/established or pronunciation issues, To me Anambra and Enugu are fine, they may not be the traditional spellings but they are not corruptions per se. But places like Port Harcourt, which is named after a shady individual could stand to look for other names (if they so choose). To me preserving local heritage/use of local languages/and adaptation of ancient architecture would time better spent. |

dayokanu: So in your village you no know say dem don finish DNC?DNC was held in my state, I thought since you know Tinubu very well he would have dashed you a golden ticket too, and flight on airforce 1 ![]() |
dayokanu: Ijaws know that na Igbos be dem mates. Thats why they keep stepping to Igbos anyhowDon't you have a DNC to attend ![]() |
^^ ![]() |
What a story lmao. Democrats already get hammered by Republicans who claim they care more about foreigners than Americans and now they are going to willing get themselves flamed by doing this ![]() Imposible. If an advisor did this they would make sure to keep it off the record, otherwise its their career. ![]() You wouldn't even get a Democratic letter opener to take this job |
