I have been working on a material to answer questions like this. I would like to send you a chapter that answers your question but I can't put it up here. I could send it to you via email. |
The US Congress in their last session, on Tuesday, grilled the Google CEO, Sundar Pichai, on why Donald Trump's image appeared in Google search anytime "idiot" is queried. This led me to search for "lifeless dullard" and here is what I found. What's your take on this?

APC promised Nigerians CHANGE in the first coming. Nobody cared to ask if it was positive change or not. Well, they delivered on their promise of CHANGE. Yes! They changed us to the Poverty capital of the World. They changed us to the laughing stock of the Western world. They told the world that we are Lazy. Now they want the same "lazy" folks to come out en masse to vote for the NEXT LEVEL. I play video games so I know the NEXT LEVEL is always harder. I'm not interested in the APC and its vague promises. As for me and my house, we will #Atikulate #Obidiently. What about you? |
BOW OUT WITH WHAT'S LEFT OF YOUR HONOUR; A CAUTIONARY NOTE TO PRESIDENT BUHARI Everyone, at least once in a lifetime, will get the sordid taste of failure. No matter how highly placed one is, or the level of preparedness for a given task, somehow, someday and in some way we are all bound to disappoint; not just ourselves, but they that call us heroes. While it may be characteristic of man to set usually unrealistic goals, in there lies the will to stretch boundaries. Our aspirations to upset the status quo, whether driven by desire, ego, discontent, or any underlying factor is noble if and only if we put others into consideration. Without this, there is no Nobility. In a couple of months, the general elections will begin. Campaign is already underway, though unofficially, with politicians and their mercenaries greasing the ever gullible electorate with peanuts, propaganda and sure-to-fail promises. We know how these things pan out, don’t we? They’ll tell us another lie, promise us another change, carry out vote-buying with code names and yet fail us again. Yes they will! But not this time. Not if we refuse to give in to their lies. Not if we hold together as a unit to stand our ground. Not if we decide to change the change. Perhaps Mr. President had the will to salvage Nigeria. Maybe, in his prime, he could have been the best man to lead the charge against Insurgency, the economic woes and the untold hardship that has bedevilled Nigeria in recent times. And that's assuming he excelled in his first stint as Head of State more than three decades ago. I wasn't born then but I don't like the stories I heard and read about his administration. I like to assume, all his many fallouts at the polls prior to 2015 was a show of commitment to the Nigerian Project. However, it is on record that Mr President has failed this time. He has woefully failed just when it mattered most to our people as a Nation. Nevertheless, Nigerians are willing to hide his incompetence right behind ailing health like his once many, now dwindling supporters often opine. We wouldn’t mind helping create an excuse for his incompetent leadership. Word on the street is ‘Bow out with what’s left of your honour.’ We could say we appreciate the kind efforts of President Buhari because we know Nigeria is a complex Nation to lead, unlike any other in the world. We could forgive his misgivings and poor leadership. But we will have him and others who come after know that second term is neither a birthright nor a gift for every sitting president. I believe the Jonathan case already established that. I hereby advise Mr President to gracefully bow out and let another lead the charge to drive this Nation to her place of greatness. That is the noble thing to do. That is what must be done. Any other way will put you, Mr President, in bad light. Author: Emery Onoriode (09070821492) |
When will Mr President stop pushing blames on people? I can't understand how a supposed leader with military background know so little about leadership. By the way, which good work has he done that he wants publicized? If I can't see it, and my neighbours can't see it too, then there is nothing good out there to be seen from this government. Good works can't be so hard to spot out especially in a country like ours where nearly everything is in shambles. |
If control over your woman to you means having all the resources, then maybe the ass-licking nigga is right. If control is in character and ability to man up to challenges, then Toke could be just about any girl from down the street. Whether a breadseller, or a celeb, the man is a man because he knows how to be a man. I put food on the table, I'm the man. She puts the food on the table, I'm the man. End of story. |
MAJORBANKZ:#RenosDarts Give credit. |
HungerBAD:If Jonathan was the most clueless, I don't know what you'd call Buhari. 'Lifeless' maybe. |
I don't get it. If na 2 u see, u go complain. U see 8, it should be a party. |
If this post makes FP, this will be my first FTC on FP. Make I see wetin the hype dey about. |

Sorry if it got to you. Just that I wished I also had 4yrs of NYSC pending when a real job comes. 19800 was peanut while in the University. And as a corp member. Now, it would save a life. |
Zendinho: Make my state no try me ooo.... I can't wait to start enjoying govt money after four years of NYSC.... Four years of NYSC? You must be special. |
One celeb I can identify by shape even in the darkest night. Headshot alone, I may not be able to tell the difference between Toolz and every other random girl on and off the internet. |
deomelo:Are you saying TELECOM is our biggest challenge? What about health, education, housing and infrastructure, transport etc Do you now see the outright stupidity in the government's choice? |
I am yet to read the post sef. Is this what you call FTC? Kinda feels good though. |
Happy Birthday to the King of Pop. |
Nairaland has become a regular on my routine internet visits daily. In fact, it is the default homepage on my Google Chrome browser. Regular visits to me means staying abreast of latest information cutting across every relevant niche, from politics, sports, entertainment down to gossips and jibes like the now famous 'lifeless...' You know how best to end the quote. The benefit of being a user or regular visitor is enormous, but it leaves me with concerns - The deepening of our ethnic divide. Nearly every thread created has one or more Igbo/afonja/skull-miner/ipod post in the comment section. While those comments look seemingly harmless, it further deepens our ethnic divides, bringing to the fore, our irrationalities which have been and still is, Nigeria's foremost problem. Nearly everything done in Nigeria, especially in politics and governance, derides competence downplayed by 'federal character', thereby promoting mediocrity and ethnic sensationalism. In my opinion, we can condemn the act and the actor(s) with no reference to ethnicity and/or religion. I'm not Ben Murray Bruce but I want to make common sense. |
KingSatan:No you are not! The devil wants to destroy you and you are actively helping him with his plans. The grace of God will find you. |
KingSatan:What you need is the peace of God. Your tormented soul shall feel the love of Christ. Jesus loves you. |
A Nigerian politician will need just as long as it would take to write a cheque to pay for any of the above mentioned supercars. They are the richest thieves in the world. |
Rasheed2567:LWKMD...I think the word she was looking for is Midwife. |
Joro advised for contigency plan to help deal with depression. It's not same as having more than one partner. Truth is, every lady has that guy who isn't her lover but is close enough to be a threat to her partner - even if the partner plays cool about it. Joro's fault is to think he advised when he was only stating the obvious. @OP, I'm impressed to find a lady standing up for men. Kudos! But the message was misunderstood. |
Do we have legal practitioners in the house? I would like to know if the APC stand a chance in court if she decides to sue FFK for abusive meaning of the APC acronym. |
I have been an ardent follower of the popular reality TV show #BBNAIJA. I love the content and the revelations made on screen. Before you guys eat me up, I know how to mix work and play so don't you dare call me jobless. If my partner gets auditioned for the show, that day she seizes to be my woman unless she comes home with the money. I like gold. I aint f**king a broke bitch. Lol Here is the thing...I have seen how these girls lie about not been involved in any relationship once they find themselves in the house. Those who feel safe to talk about their relationships still get involved romantically with other housemates. I may be wrong to hold on to my opinion but wouldn't you rather let go than to hold on to something you already know is gone already? What's your take on this? Honest answers only. |
emezuo17:Sad enough, Christianity does not answer to logic. |
I don't see any breast there ooo. What I see looks like an abscess. If that's a grown lady's boobs, am sorry. |
aysuprano:Are you also serving in Abuja? |
zeenaman:I have been using my CDS slip. I'm worried talking to my LGI now could expose me to query and possible sanctions. |
I am a Batch A Stream II Corp member posted to the FCT. I am yet to get a PPA. I was initially posted to a private firm(name withheld) in Central Area, rejected on arrival. I, as advised, held on to the rejection letter while I tried reaching out to firms on and off the internet in a bid to get a good placement that will be relevant to my career path. Also to avoid posting to a public secondary school but it's been of no good. Five(5) months gone already and I'm still searching. Now I'm desperate. I need advice. |
There is a massive revolution against the modern day church in every part of the world. Christians are being persecuted by heathens and nay-sayers. I have tried to understand why this became a trend and my fingers are pointing at me, you and all Christian folk. Why won't they bad-mouth the church? Check yourself and tell me if we are not our own problems. Christianity have been bastardized with unfounded doctrines and the taste for its practice is speedily becoming stale. Our pastors are now CEOs of the church instead of shepherds. Our choristers are angels in church and harlots out there. Double standard everywhere. Talks of tithes and the doctrine, pastors living for themselves, Christians leading bad lives, millions of churches (more like business centres) everywhere and the moral decay in our everyday. All these are indications that the church has wandered away into Egypt. We now rely more on tact, wordplay and charisma instead of the finished work of Christ. "Woe to him that goes to Egypt for help..." -Isaiah 31:1. Christ should come ASAP. On social media, many supposed Christians are slaying their lives away, forgetting the mandate of Christ. We want to belong to these sinful world at the expense of our souls. Christianity, which should be our way of live, is now just another word. Pastors are globe-trotting, seeking popularity and expansion for their private ministry and in the guise of propagating the message of the gospel. I do no want to be any part of this deceit. Can I really dissociate myself from a part of the blame? No! I am a huge part of these problems and I know if I were a good example in my neighbourhood, it could create a consciousness in the mind of those around me to be more careful about life. You are as culpable as I am. Until the church rise up to its duties, it's place will continually fade into oblivion. The question is "Shall we continue in sin?". The good news is all hope is not lost. We can still make a difference. "The world awaits the earnest manifestation of the sons of God" -Romans 8:9. I have resolved to do my bit, will you do yours? |
Originalsly:You may be right, I really dunno. One thing I'm sure of is the fact that how the money is spent doesn't concern me. |
Originalsly:It may surprise you to know that you may be more religious than I am. And you also may be more committed to the dictates of your pastor than I am or even go to church more often than I do. I'm not gonna debate on this tithe issue. To me it's as irrelevant as the topic "Heaven or Paradise". There is too much to be done in God's house. If you don't want to pay, don't pay. If you want to, please do. Whatever it is called, be it tithe, offering, pastor's offering, seed faith or any thing else, you mustn't pay if you don't believe in it. But to make a case out of it just to rubbish the church is stupidity. There are many accounts in the bible where people approached Jesus with stupid questions just to find faults in him. This tithe ish is one of such. Again I say, Let the Just live by faith. |
