Private after serving for 5yrs+? Her promotion was most likely stalled. One would expect that she'd be a LCpl. It's crazy what goes on unchecked in the military. There was no chance in hell that she would have won that case against her superior, who happens to be a commissioned officer and a redneck for that matter. She should go for thanksgiving. Not many were that lucky. |

Looks good to me except for a few spelling errors you may have to correct. Kudos to you. |
You said he doesn't have a job, where did he get the money she spent on his birthday? The money you were expecting for your birthday, where was he supposed to get it from? Madam if you want to leave, leave and stop whining about it. Nobody go blame you for making a decision this important. It's your life. But I just tell you that the reason you're breaking up has more to do with your love for money than it has to do with his attitude towards life. Focus. |
"So you people should better kill me or I'll kill more persons." That's how you know someone who's truly tired of this world. He has lost all hope of redemption. That's a mad person on the loose. There are many others like this out there - not necessarily killers - who are tired of life and living. They wish they could take their own lives but they dread the thought. The guy needs help. |
Please, I would like a copy of these books sent to my email. Kindly forward to luckyigboakwu@gmail.com |
Hello Nairalanders, It is said that 'no man is an island', and this has proven to be an eternal truth. In acknowledgement of the above, I am seeking your invaluable opinions on how to sell a book I've been working on. I'm a budding author with zero experience in book publishing. I have written too many stories in the past and never bothered about printing or selling any until very recently. All of my works are either lost or LOST in my many trips and short stays around the country in search of gainful employment. The trips didn't pay much but on one of those, I have been gifted a great story for young adults and I'm looking to print and sell this particular piece. I need tips on how to go about it. I'm aware soft-copies can be sold online on sites like 'Okada books' and 'Amazon Kindle'. I'm afraid this book may be more relevant to Nigerians and Africans who I believe do not subscribe so well to online reading. I'll, however, publish online. The advice I seek is on how to sell hard-copies. My target audience: kids between the ages of 13-16. Genre: Prose (Fiction) Word length: 15,000 - 20,000 For a start, I'm looking to print 1000 copies only. Any ideas on costing and pricing? I'm hopeful to gain from your experience. I'll appreciate your suggestions on proofreading, editing, formatting and layout, printing, and sales strategy. Thank you for your kind suggestions. @Crayon001 |
The biggest development to come to Edo state should be in security of life and property. That state is a direct route to hell. If you know, you know. |

BookEditor:Not many Nigerians, living in Nigeria, go on Amazon to buy books. Especially the younger generation whom the book was written for. Any suggestions? |
How does it work? I tried downloading, and got a very tiny file, that's not parseable on my device. |
What if I'm writing my book for Nigerians? |
B1ak3:If say you dey read posts before you comment, you for come across the place where PDP in previous threads, say INEC no give them access to ballot papers for forensic analysis. But you no go read. Therefore, you no go learn. Shior. |
In my opinion, Nigeria needs visionary leaders like Bishop David Oyedepo, to run the affairs of our country. If the cleric would, it would be a great service to his Nation, and to the faith. A lack of purposeful leadership is the reason Nigeria is where it is today. |
Huawei Y7 Prime 2019 is a much better phone than the Infinix Hot 7. 6.26" dew-drop Display 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, and supports Memory expansion of up to 512GB 4000MAH battery capacity Snapdragon 450 chipset clocked at 1.8ghz 16MP Selfie Camera, AI 13MP+2MP Rear Camera I could go on and on. The Huawei Y7Prime 2019 is the super low budget smartphone going for just #59,700.

The general elections is just a few hours away and the dollar seems to have crashed to #184. What's your take on this and how does the valuation affect your business?

I'm getting sick of this CJN topic. Can someone, anyone just throw that dullard out of ASO ROCK and get Nigeria working again. Please!! If this thread makes it to FP, this post will be my first ever FTC. I think it's time I understood the fuss about FTC. Modified: So we are here now. I didn't get any credit alert for being FTC. However, I'm dedicating this to all of my kind who come on Nairaland to stay informed. |
hefelove:If your conversion rate is low, there must be something you're not doing right. Let me know how I can help. |
This is a deliberate attempt to twist the narrative. I watched the video on the link you provided and I'm wondering where and how you got to the conclusion. Blogging shouldn't be about mischief. Traffic isn't all that matter. You should try to be relevant and to gain the trust of your readers. |
obafemi04:One wouldn't be surprised. But it will fail them. |
I'm surprised no one is saying anything about Buhari and the 'take off your cap' BS. |
What does College mean to you? College, in many aspects, feels like a getaway from the routine life of waking up and running errands, for young school leavers. As strange as it sounds, that is the position of many teenagers applying for varsity education. How wrong? While many won’t admit it, the opinion is strengthened by the resolve to accept just about any course, so as to be able to gain 'freedom'. So what does college mean to you? Is it a getaway, a career builder, or a lustful path to self-actualization? In reacting to the question, take a moment to probe your mind in search for answers. I could care less about what your response would be. In fact, the only person who needs to know is you – only you. While seeking answers, ask yourself if the time, effort and financial implications would be worth it bringing to bare factors like your course of study, choice of institution, and most importantly your interest in learning. College education is not for nitwits. In every sense, college education should be deliberate. Your decision to get a degree should be driven by belief in the system, trusting it to make you better and on course to career fulfilment. The inability to come up with solid answers to strengthen your resolve will become your greatest weakness when the many challenges of college come dashing at you. The reason you opt for college education as against apprenticeship, or any other endeavor, is a major factor in determining if the number of years required to earn a degree, the huge financial implication on your sponsor, and the overall effect on your life in the long run would be worth it. While I hope your purpose for choosing college is to acquire requisite skills that will help you succeed in your chosen career path, I am well aware that not everyone has the same goals. In my research, while putting this book together, I came across a disturbing trend. With over 100 people within the ages of 17-21, responding to the questionnaire, I realized that over 70% do not fully understand what college really is. To them, it is just a pattern in life, just like they did with primary education and high school, they believe it’s just a route they must pass to fit into society. College education is power. It is what truly prepares you for the outside world. Before you start mumbling about people around you who succeeded without college education, take a moment to think of the many you come across on a day-to-day basis who failed, and with a near zero chance of redemption, because they lack college education. While it may be true that college education doesn’t guarantee a great job but it is very unlikely to land a great job without a degree, or its equivalent. A well-rounded graduate is many times open to opportunities than the man without it. Even the few who succeeded without a degree go about to recruit degree holders because they know the importance of getting college education. I don’t want you to get the wrong ideas. I am not saying you can’t make anything out of life without a college degree. In fact, it is possible to build an empire without a degree. Like the case with Bill Gates of Microsoft, Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook and our very own Nigerian Forum owner, Seun Osewa of Nairaland etc. There are many things to do in the world that requires very little or no links to varsity education. But without one, it becomes relatively easy to go with the wind. There are only two options open to the man without college education: passion or confusion (as the case may be). But you can’t leave everything to chance. Some made it without a degree, but a whole lot more wish they had the chance to be where you are right now (in college). |
Every Buhari supporter, by association with the APC and otherwise, is a traitor who doesn't want a better Nigeria. |

@OP Get a wife bro. You are talking divorce when you don't have a wife. You are married to someone who isn't a wife. She loves gangster, give her gangster. |
GIGO (Garbage In, Garbage Out) was one of the first acronyms I learned in Elementary school. I thought my teacher was talking computers but now I understand that it's been life all along. If you give me Garbage, you will get Garbage. That's what your wife expects. She wants to see the beast in you. Unleash it. I have zero tolerance for bullshit. I gave the last of my f**k a couple of years ago. Death to my enemies. |
Let the party begin. |
