it has been 3 days straight so far that we do not have power supply. it's also public holiday in nigeria, but there is no reason to celebrate because we do not have power supply. my generator is now crying for help. i'm getting sicy and tired of this shit, something has to be done. help! |
Tinapa water park can not save Nigeria. Our main priority should be stabilizing power supply and not praising what is indirectly designed for the elite.@zomby, may God bless u for posting this comment. |
Ribadu represents our aspiration for justice and equality.lmao ![]() |
this was the same person who confessed some time ago that Ribadu was a great man!!!yes, i confessed that ribadu was a great man few wks ago, in fact he's still a wonderful man. but what i know about this ribadu's situation is driving me crazy; it is extremely difficult for me to sit and watch fools as they get played. from now on, i promise to look somewhere else when it comes to ribadu. i will even display my admiration by composing a song that praises mr. ribadu. |
ribadu is the greatest thing that has ever come out of nigeria. |
i honestly do not want to bash this man, but it makes me laugh and very sad at the same time when his supporters come out fighting and saying all kind of things that they clearly don't know. it is very sad indeed when we think we know what we are fighting for, but we truly have no clue. it reminds of an american citizen who only joined the us army to fight for his nation in iraq under the assumption that iraq has mass weapon up till today. it is always better to know the real fact b4 we start swinging. |
nigerians are suffering from low mentality. regardless of the matter, it never a good idea to encourage anyone to disregard the law. i wish ribadu well in whatever he does, there is one thing that is certain, the man is finacially set; he knows it and many others in abuja also know it too. it is now up to nigerians to move on and continue with the fight. |
i am not allowed to comment on any topic on ribadu anymore, but nigerians should pay more attention to these 2 comments. it is plain and simple. Nothing but criminal runs from the LAW of the land. Ribadu is an hero to foolish people who also have no respect for law. |
it's in everybody's bloodline to be a champion, sister.it's called figure of speech. i simply wanted readers to clearly understand my point without saying much or pointing figure directly to dr hate. if you read through the posts u will clearly understand what i'm trying to say. of course, anyone can be a champion, especially in our dreams |
alternative power in nigeria is a great idea, but "if i can't chop from the stabilizing power supply project in nigeria, it means nobody else can do it correctly" this is exactly what i'm getting from some of the posts on this topic. we went from talking about using mike's taste for success and his proven accomplishments to drive the initiation of stabilizing power supply in nigeria, - to finding every obstacle on earth that will make this implementation impossible, - to then introducing our own backyard project. this is a typical example of why nothing is working in nigeria and why great nigerians everywhere aren't getting the credit they deserve. everybody wants to be a champion even when it's clearly not in their blood line. it's a shame. |
again, i honestly took u as a serious man at first, i didn't know. i am so sorry, my mistake. |
You are free to have your opinion no matter how ridiculous as it may be. That is all I have to say to people like you who have been programmed to think that there are only a handful of Nigerians capable of doing anything. Very limited and shallow perspective and rather hypocritical as well. What do I know about Mike Adenuga or what is my relationship with him? These Nairaland women sha!don't try to twist things around. without any question, there are tons of nigerians who can get things done, but this topic is directed to mike and his brassy taste 4 success. and since yesterday you have done everything to your tiny power to debilitate mike's submarine cable accomplishment. why? it doesn't take much for anyone to read through you to realize that there is nothing any successful nigerian accomplishes that will impress u, and this is quite understandable. but u should try to keep your negativity to urself. |
There are too many effective Managers that I can think of that are just as if not more aggressive and competitive as Mike Adenuga. Mind you, the cable may have reached Lagos, but we have not heard of it operational yet. In most developed countries, everything will have been in-place while waiting for the cable, which will be hooked up and running within 48 hours of arrival. Oando's management has been very impressive amongst others as well.at first, i honestly took u serious until i read ur last post. your last post has revealed you as nothing but another mike adenuga's hater, which is very much understandable. you've indicated that there are too many other effective managers that just as if not more aggressive and competitive as mike. in fact you're correct, but we are not only focusing on just aggressiveness and competitiveness (we have those type of managers abundantly in nigeria), we are simply embracing effectiveness, efficiency and proven accomplishments. we can come up with different type of bright ideas from today till next year, but without will power to deal with nigerians, dedication and prodigious vision, none of your intellectual ideas will be accomplished. enjoy the rest of the day and stop hating (haters don't prosper). |
A constitutional conference that changes the law from forcing power producing states to only supply their power into the National Grid. Look at how other Governors are now being forced to attempt to compete with Fashola instead of looting their states blind. If they begin to compete in providing power within their states, we'll see some quick difference. Now that gas is being found in the North in large quantites which they are now planning on converting into diesel and petrol. Everything should be balanced, and noone will complain.isn't nigeria we are talking about? after all is said and done, you'll still need a reliable engine to move your plan forward and keep the process running. i think this is where someone like mike comes in. don't you think? |
Mike adenuga is far from a role model for anyone please, nigerians, the greatest people on this planet. nigerians will rather give credit to Christopher Columbus that they know nothing about b4 giving credit to their own fellow nigerian. we just don't believe in supporting one another or witnessing one of our own doing great things. this really bothers me. i will be the first to admit that i do not know much about technology or submarine, but it makes me very sad that some of us will rather see a foreigner to successful implement this technology in nigeria b4 seeing another nigerian accomplishing the goal. this is a typical reason why nigerians continue to struggle to survive all around this planet. we clearly do not posses the mentality to carry each other. today, libya continues to depot over 140 nigerians each and every day, south africa also continues to treat our brothers and sisters like black rats. and some of us still wonder why we are being treated like black sheep and why nobody is willing to respect or give credit to nigerians. the answer is very simple: this is because we do not appreciate or respect ourselves. instead of trying to find something wrong with another nigerian, why can't we just celebrate the accomplishment? |
Whoever thinks that the power problem in nigeria is caused by lack of intelligent people must be kidding.who are the politicians and who are the ones being politicized? same old story different day, different year, but same people and same outcome. |
may god bless the bull, mike adenuga. |
lol internet but no 24 hours electricitythis is actually very funny. my friends came down from france to visit me in nigeria few months ago and the joke of their trip was, nigerians are walking around with 2 to 3 cell phones per citizen, but they have no constant electric power to charge the phones. they concluded that instead of running around with extra phones, the entire population should sell their extra cell phones and donate the money towards implementing constant power supply, may be that will solve our problem. the only missing thing is: lack of intelligent citizens. nothing will be solved until we realize that we are foolish people. |
last friday, nuhu ribadu addressed the national assembly of southern sudan in juba. he mainly focused on governance, ethics and anti-corruption reforms. ribadu is ribadu while obama is obama. no need to compare the 2. different countries, different standard, different laws and different people to lead. may God bless him |
i don't know what to say or where to go, |
as usual, i have condemned ribadu in every way all throughtout this forum. i have called him many bad names, i have painted him black, i have disrespected all he has done for us and for our country, i have called for him to be arrested, but from what i have discovered today, i have nothing left to say to this wonderful human being, but to ask the Lord, the creator of heaven and earth to continue to bless mr.ribadu. I ask for forgiveness for all i have done to damage what this man has done and i also ask my good friends (nairalanders) to forgive me from being stupid and inhuman. |
I dont get the unreserved love for Ribadu by deboskyi do get it, i totally understand why debosky feels this way. ribadu is the greatest and he should be treated with respect. i wish this topic is deleted, ribadu doesn't deserve to be treated this way. |

http://ofilis1234./2008/01/07/ribadu-under-probe-over-mansions Ribadu Under Probe Over Mansions In Dubai, Abuja It seems the Police High Command has begun a probe of sleaze buster, Nuhu Ribadu – who, himself, has ferreted the cupboards of the great and the small in the past five years as Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Chairman. It was learnt at the weekend that the police authorities are in possession of dozens of petitions from corporate bodies, and individuals accusing Ribadu of sundry vices, among them graft. It is alleged that he owns a mansion in the Palm beach area of Dubai where his wife stayed for the most part of last year. But a source close to Ribadu explained that the house was a “gift” from a Northern business tycoon (name withheld). There is also the allegation that he bought the official residence of former Inspector General of Police, Sunday Ehindero, for N200 million and paid it in cash. The house is on Mambilla Street near Aso Drive in the Maitama area of Abuja. The petitioners alleged that Ribadu engaged in business activities that breached his oath of office. “I think it is after a careful study of these petitions the Police High Command is working on those that may have substance,” a police source said. Ribadu may face an inquiry after evidence is established against him, although there is disagreement in the House of Representatives over which committee should probe the EFCC. Besides, the House Committee on Drugs, Narcotics and Financial Crimes has summoned him over the directive by the police authorities to send him on course at the Nigerian Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) in Kuru, Jos. Committee Chairman, Dave Salako, explained in Abuja on Sunday that the controversy generated by the directive made it imperative for him to appear before the committee. He claimed ignorance of moves by members of the Lower House under the aegis of Integrity Group (IG) to initiate a probe of the EFCC, stressing that his committee is the appropriate one to do it. Some members of the IG met at the weekend during which they resolved to initiate a probe of the EFCC when the House reconvenes on Wednesday. But Salako said his committee, which has oversight functions on the EFCC, had already begun investigating its activities before now, and would progress that with the appearance of Ribadu. More disclosures have equally emerged on why the Presidency approved Ribadu’s study leave. President Umaru Yar’Adua may have acted on a memorandum written on April 3, 2003 by Aliyu Mohammed, the Chief of Staff to President Olusegun Obasanjo. The memo, copied to all security agencies and all departments in the Presidency, argued that Ribadu’s appointment as EFCC Chairman was an anomaly which needed to be corrected, in accordance with the EFCC Act 2002. Mohammed said the appointment contravened the Act which stipulates that the EFCC Chairman should be an officer not below the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG). The memo stated that Ribadu was, at the time, an Assistant Commissioner of Police, and that all ex-officio members of the EFCC were by far senior to him |
u are a genius debosky! and i love u |
ribudu being a criminal walking free does not change the fact that waziri hasnt done anything in about 2 yearslet us forget the messenger and pay more attention to the message. it isn't new to us that waziri hasn't accomplished much ever since she got the position. her time is coming and trust me she will get it well well from all of us. when u look at the message closely, u will realize that the message is on point. but nigerians that live outside nigeria mostly refuse to see the truth. |
You specialise in making asinine comments that are not based in truth. So Ribadu is the reason why Ibori is free or is it not your corrupt Waziri and co who are not prosecuting? Is it Ribadu that freed Alams?it is obvious that we are on 2 different sides. and i could see ribadu himself laughing his ass off at you, because it is clear that you have be fooled for may be too long. everything i've stated, to you, may not be intelligent talk, but to those who know 1 or 2 things about abuja, my statement represents home-run. who got the duty of cleaning up yaradua and getting him ready for the presidential election? who presented the list of clean politicians (approved candidates) to contest 2007 election? who distributed government properties (including money and land)? who was involved in the rigging of 3rd term? fyi: a lot of money and time were wasted on chasing Atiku around while president friends like bode george, fani kayode, el-rufai, aborishade and others were busy stealing our money. One of the main reasons why 2007 election was not successful was because as instructed by obasojo, ribadu distracted the entire nation by chasing Atiku (obasojo's number 1 enemy) all around the world while window to election fraud was left open. |
if you honestly want nigeria to move forward and rub shoulders with other developed countries then you will realize that ribadu still represents a wanted criminal. he should not be allowed to do anything in Africa till he returns back to Nigeria to answer all charges against (just like any other Nigerian citizen). just because there wasn't a saint (this has not been confirmed)among the people ribadu harassed during his time as EFCC chairman doesn't mean ribadu should be allowed to step on the rules or the constitution of our country. ribadu is not bigger than nigeria, therefore, he must follow the same rules we all follow. with the power, money and security president obasojo provided for ribadu, I think any power-hungry nigerian could have done just the same or more than what ribadu did. therefore, I do not think the man is special. do as I do, not do as I say, that's the name of the game. you do not do the right thing the wrong way. and you do not harass people just because you feel like it or because a corrupt boss sends you. the right thing must be done correctly. wake-up my people, ribadu is still the main reason why all corrupt government officials in nigeria today are walking freely. ribadu is a wanted criminal and he should be arrested immediately. |
now this gp15 is smoking something strong. nigerian obama who finds it very difficult to play by the rules nigerian obama who has no respect for human rights nigerian obama who is also on the run nigerian obama who protected the house and also stole from the house nigerian obama who happens to be a lawyer but knows nothing about law. Please do not let us disrespect obama. ribadu is nothing but a wanted criminal, a coward and a bush-boy. |
who selected yaradua? the answer is obasojo who helped obasojo to accomplish his goals? the answer is ribadu who selected waziri? the answer is yaradua now could someone see the root of our current problem in nigeria? so, why are we here crying? the people who are responsible for the down fall of nigeria and efcc are obasojo and ribadu. if yaradua was doing well, obasojo would have looked a lot more stupid and if waziri was doing fine, ribadu would have been history. this is how obasojo wanted things to be. |
In Nigeria, I dont know why we cannot have examplary figures to emulated. If a place like the Philippines can be transformed today and if democracy can be ensured in a place like indonesia, why cant Nigeria make a name too.i agree, but we can not get there when a man thinks he's bigger than the country. |
@sir larez: so, because i do not see things your way has made me ibori's wife? when are we going to grow? you do not expect everyone of us to sleep and face the same direction, it is impossible. and fyi, i have never supported waziri, i have only stated that the way ribadu continues to openly disrespect the rules has only contributed to the downfall of efcc. this is what he wants. it would have made him look useless if waziri was doing well. |
