Sharafawizkidayo:thank you sir. Why I changed the title I will explain at the end of the story. But it does not affect the previous one in anyway. |
Jakemedg:Oga this is nothing but the truth, since 2016 till now no project. He has even been nicknamed commissioner for collection of VIN number. Why? Always instructing party loyalists to bring five names, bring six names, and so on with their Voters identification Number. In the end, no work as he claims to provide, no projects either just using the people name to defraud FG with the white Elephant project he tagged “ 30000 jobs for Edo people. EFCC is waiting for Obaseki if he looses. |
cassbeat:well honestly, I had a rough thought about it... but in your opinion, do you think I should leave the other title? |
GeneralPula:Unlike some people I know in my state. To be honest, any layman can pick up the purposeful attempt of Tinubu in hiding his political ambition against 2023. He encourages those who are busy predicting the future to keep it up while he attends to more pressing issues- Ondo state and Edo elections. It's a mind game and he evidently leaves the future to the Almighty who keeps us alive. In his own words “ 2023 will answer it's own questions in due time” Until then, Let's keep campaigning for him. ![]() I leave you with this quote from Dale Carnegie's How To Win Friends and Influence People “ If you want to gather honey, don't kick over the beehive” |
Reinaldo:I beg you to reconsider |
Those who seek to cast themselves as political Nostradamus’ are free to so engage their energies. I trust the discerning public will give the views of such eager seers the scant weight such divinations warrant." "Personally, I find greater merit trying to help in the present by offering policy ideas, both privately and publicly, where I think they might help. I will continue in this same mode for the immediate future. 2023 will answer its own questions in due time." Two sentences summarized as All that you people have said and will continue to say may be true or not. Meanwhile, let's face what's happening and tomorrow we will talk about all we have said or not said by error or omission in the past If you can't play the game. stay clear. Omooba77:work? or quote? When you mean work, it has to be the entire book, not some quotes from them... As a writer you should know the difference |
It's not that deadly if you ask me. So why worry and bring it to social media. A strategy to shift public sympathy from Cynthia Morgan. Social media! Social Media!! The rise of many, the downfall of millilons! But tbh, those above me have made life a bit uneasy for Mynd44 this afternoon... see insults koh necessary? Check Siggy. |

Continued Jerry A metallic cry came from the doors. Two soldiers came in and without explanations, they hulled and whisked me out of the cell. *** Kelly The cell doors cried like a racoon in labour. Sharp and piercing into the calm of the night. The poor women scamper away from the door like chickens, trying to escape the butcher on the other side of the door. Everywhere was calm, a while ago. I only realised just now why these women are so afraid and the words Seth spilled out on Sunday evening echoes in my head “ Throw them in the cells. With the other prisoners. All of them.” Prisoners. That's what they are and how they feel. Terror had followed their stay in here. It didn't take long before one of them- a fine young lady, Salamatou- explain their ordeal to me. Earlier before these, I thought I had seen an angel in a trance when I was thrown into the dark cell on Saturday night. The same angel I thought to be my mom. After the fall, the blow to my head from Vincent's gun left me a bit unconscious. The next morning being Sunday, before I could regain consciousness, I was whisked away and made to undergo psychological torture from Seth. He tortured the Senators and made me watch. His aim was to get the password to Caiden. The device in my possession. After many failed attempts, he spat " Throw them into the cells... With the other prisoners..all of them..” It's now clear to me what he meant. I saw the look in their eyes when I returned- fear. They were all afraid of me. And I could only imagine. Salamatou seems to be the bold one who had any form of humanity left in her- the angel I saw in a trance on the night of my arrival; she had torn a piece of clothing from her hijab and wiped my temple that bled tingly- as she took care of me and the rest was history. She told me a lot about herself, her little daughter who had been captured alongside her. And about all these women who were captured from different parts of the country. After a while, it seemed their families gave up on the chances of ever seeing them again. She explained how gun men had invaded the school where she taught English language in the northern part of the country. She was young and her daughter was rather unfortunate. How unfortunate. They bundled them both into a van with other women and girls. Since that moment up until this hour, they use them to satisfy all manners of canal desires and when they become useless to the men, they are either killed or sold off . Her daughter, Aisha will be 7 in three days and Salamatou narrated that it would be the second birthday her baby celebrates within this confines. Too bad. “ Dont worry" I had assured her “ we will leave together” I said “ I promise." “ I'm afraid for my daughter's life” She said“ Aishatu is innocent. She doesn't deserve any of these” As these women scamper away from the door, our conversation in the past, hits reality. I stand in awe but I'm taken by surprise. Two hefty men led by Kendrick grabbed me. “ No. Let me go! “ Be quiet!” Kendrick moved beyond my position and entered the cell. He searched for someone. He grabs her away from Salamatou's embrace. “ Please I beg you. Not her. Take me instead” The poor mother cried. Then she began to speak in a language I picked to be Hausa. Other women started in the same tone. More different languages. But it seemed the Hausas were much than other tribes. I fought him. Trying to take Aisha from his grip. The little girl cried “ Mama! Mama!” Salamatou wailed. The women screamed loud but their voices were just lullibies to the wickedness of these men. Their hearts must be darker than the night outside. “ Stay down!” Kendrick snapped. “ Shiru!” he said That meant “ Quiet!” My head had already been covered with a black cloth. I heard a loud clap of metal against somebody's skull. Salamatou was still pleading. So it couldn't have been her. “ Mama!" Aisha screams. Such an innocent voice to behold. “bring the mother too" Kendrick ordered. She must have resisted. A hot slap overpowered her. They dragged her out like a piece of rag. Pushed me on like a log of wood. No respect for the opposite gender. Such barbaric traits in these criminals. In a space of minutes, the head covers came off and behold, before me is Seth- in his grandeur of evil genius and wickedness. He had a metal cup in his hands. I look round and see a young man with almost a blackened eye and cuts all over his face. He had a rubber glove on him, up to the elbow region. “ What's going on? I finally mustered courage to ask the son of the devil, Seth. He stares at me with contempt, his eyebrows carved into his eye sockets and almost resembled an arrow head. The story continues... |

Episode 22- DOA ( Dead Or Alive) Jerry The last thing I remember is taking blows and kicks to the head. Funny, he is staring at me. him too. This man, I know, this other man I know quite well. Both of them, by name. The third man who is also gazing at me in confusion, I find it hard to recall his name. I have seen him somewhere before now. I'm trying to remember. Why can't I? The elderly looking man who is probably in his late fifties takes a thorough inspection at me. He asked “ Are you okay? Normally, when I get a question like this, I feel the person cares enough to want to know how I feel- but right now I don't know if he is being kind-or showing sympathy. But I wished I had an answer. His age is hard to pinpoint. Main reason; he has his beards unkempt and all bushy. I remained brick silent. Trying so hard to remember his name. It began with an M. “ Are you okay? The question came again. I blinked involuntarily with a heavy and pain ridden eye. Sat and pulled up to a corner in the cell. An excruciating pain hit my head from within. It felt like a water tank was bound to my skull. “ Son-” He asked again “ Are you okay? You have been unconscious for almost 22 hours.” His name ends with the letter “ A”. Why can't I remember? " What's the meaning of the big “J’ imprinted with white color on your black hoodie? The man asked again “ Does it stand for Justice? Where are you from? Dejavu! He works in a law firm. He had been pronounced DOA( Dead or alive) after his kidnap- about two weeks ago. “ How long have you been here? I asked “ Two weeks and some days” The man said “ Why? “ Mr Mike Adeyinka? He replied with shock on his face “ Yes. I am the one. But I don't seem to remember yours... Have we met before? I smiled under a strain of muscle. “ I work for the government..." I said. The two others. The Senators jerked to their feets when they heard me say it. They came closer. “ How do you mean? One asked. “ Honorable!" I replied “ I'm glad you are both alive. But –” “ He did not make it. ” Senator Tamuno opted by saying “ Unfortunately. Tell me " He continued“ Are you alone? What's your name? I sat up. “ I hope not! ” Mr Mike Adeyinka said“ if you work for the government then it means you are here for us, isn't it? ” “ Hopefully!” “ But we are not alone” Senator Tamuno said. “ I'm aware of the young girl" I said. “ No! ” The second Senator finally spoke “Girls. Women. And maybe children. About 50 of them.” “ What? I asked “ Tell me more. Please!" ****** Bukky This is the first time I'm sleeping in my office and it was so peaceful. I bothered not to return to my apartment this morning. You can imagine. Samantha Walsh had informed me of Gerrard's adventure . I instructed she makes sure Finder doesn't lack any military support he needs. But however, they must not engage until Seth Devin fulfills his end of the bargain. “ Very unlikely though" I ended the call. Earlier, I had used the restroom in my office to refresh and after that ruminated on every possible outcomes of all my actions of late. I wanted to be more careful to avoid distasters like my husband from now on. Throughout the day, I entertained calls from different countries. Most of their heads of states whom I had allegiance of peace with were all on the same theme : commenting on the latest crises be-falling my nation. The terrorism, corruption and abuse of human rights... They urged me not to relent in the fight against any of the canckerworms. Some pledge to give us full support if need ever arises- In terms of weaponry or manpower. I thanked them all but always said the same thing : “We appreciate your effort Mr President.....Mr Chancellor... Of course we are grateful your highness... Definately, your excellency.... Very well your grace...indeed, madam president... Prime minister, Sir... Do not worry, I will let you know how things turn out- but be rest assured that my country and I, we have this uprising under perfect control”. It had been a day indeed and this evening, Samantha called again. “ Yeah? “ Mah...he rang us one more time". She said. “ Okay. I'm on my way” I arrived the Emerge room 002 and patiently waited for his call. And he eventually did. “ Mr Seth, When do you want to release my law makers and the young woman. It's almost four days now. And I begin to think this is a bit too long a period of time " “ Do not force my hand” He replied. “ Give me time.” What's he saying? “ Mr man. Time is a scarce commodity and I have none left” “ But everything went out of plan. The prisoner is murdered....” He began. “ No- no-no. Don't try to blackmail me. The deal was simple, I give you Ray, you give me the hostages and the device. Not dead bodies.” “ Not dead bodies? He retorted. “ I'm not stupid" He continued“ My brother is dead all because of you--” “ Hold on! Are you aware you wiped out an entire convoy. Contrary to agreements ” I argued on. “ Stupidity must run in your veins to even think of signing one with me” Did he just insult me? Everyone in the room rose an eyebrow with discomfort. “I'll take that as a compliment" I replied cordially. But I swear he will pay for using such a tone on me. “ When do I get-” I continue. “ Hello! Hello---” He cut the lines on me. Again. “ what now? Me Green asked. I turned towards Samantha. “ What are the possibilities of this Towers being hit by a missile and crumbling to ruins? “ Unlikely! She replied “ This is the safest point in the entire villa. Except from inside out, no weapon fashioned against it is formidable. Trust me it's a futile attempt to even try" Hmm. “ Does Seth know about this? “ Im in doubt" She said “ Just me and the previous directors are privy to this knowledgee... Well, except for you all here, now.” “Lets make sure it remains the same” Mr Green asked again “ What now? What are you going to do? “ We apply brute and force. Nothing else. Enough clemency. ” “Are the troops ready?” I asked. “ Yes, your excellency." Samanatha said afterr getting off a line comm. with Gerrard Finder. “ Fine. Activate the mission” I said“ Infiltrate their location, retrieve hostages and eliminate hostiles” Itoro popped the live feeds. The screens came alive as the entire crew in the room watched the action from Gerard's night vision cam. Mr Green spoke up “ Seargent? ” He collected a seat. “ Proceed with caution! “ Roger that. Falcon to all units” Gerard's voice rang in the speakers “ Mission is a go- go. Proceed with caution...” “Falcon” I said “ burn down the jungle if need be” “ Affirmative” Gerard replied “ All units do you copy? “Roger that, Falcon! Over!...” The static voices grimed all at once. To be continued... cc silverlinen cassbeat enirock erock247 ebonyqueen001 missmossy puvo |

Episode 21- Real Ugly Jerry I made a quick note of the disappointment on the faces of Seth's men. I knew they wanted to ask questions about my presence here, in the camp with them, but out of fear they remained quiet. He padlocked my elbow with his and whispered into my ear “ Today. Your lucky star had a feast” Then he said audibly“ Dont make me regret keeping you alive” I remained silent. “ Look around you ” He continued “ My men are hungry for your flesh. If you take one stupid step, I'll feed you to them”. At that statement, I gulped down the fear I had been trying so hard to conceal. “ Kendrick. ” He lets me loose from his grip“ Blend him. But leave his pretty face”. ******* Narrator Kendrick and some guys dragged Jerry to a nearby building where the women where held in a cell. They gathered around him. The American inventor heard men approaching and she came towards the door to get a glimpse. She however struggled to achieve this. “ I don't why know boss keeps you alive” Kendrick said “ Personally. I dont like you ” “ Fair enough!”Jerry mustered courage to speak. “ you want this the hard way or the easy way? Kendrick asked, still pacing from north to south in his axis. “ I think I'd like both” The young man replied. ****** Jerry The men circled about my position like hyenas stalking and waiting to launch an unexpected one on their prey. “ The hard way: you get back into the group” Ken said “ The easy way : We destroy you here and you die” He paused “ So what's it going to be? “The blue pill or the red one?" “ I think... I think I'll go with the green pill” My eyes became vigilant as I paced in circles catching a glimpse of them all. “ Oh! You can talk all you like.” “ Whatever happened to freedom of speech? I asked nonchalantly. “ True. ” He said “ Freedom of speech. That I guarantee. But freedom after speech, that... I can't assure you.” Instantly, a severe pain fired inside my knee caps from behind. I fell. A tall monsterous man rammed his boot unto my face from behind. Pain shot into my right ear and jaw. A painful punch ignited in my back muscles and down my spinal canal. Another kick. “ Arrgh! My nerves are on fire. I chest out to absorb the boot kick from behind. Kendrick utilized the opportunity. He pounds his boot unto my stomach. “ There is no freedom after speech!” He yelled. My face kissed the wet soil. With cold shivers penetrating my skin and wishing the cold would travel to my back, I laid numb for a while. If we were two persons in one, I'm sure my dopple ganger would be yearning so badly to stop the extreme pain in my knee caps. I feel like the ligaments are torn already. I hope not. I turned and faced upwards. Stretched my legs forward. Rain drops showered unto my face. “ Arrgh! Then again my intestines hurt. So much pain. I rotated once more. Searching for strength, I staggered up. Don't speak another word, I cautioned myself. I fold my knuckles into a fist and blindly waited for someone to rush into my zone. “ No more words? Ken asked. One man yelled and charged towards me. I dodged the swing of his blow. Balanced downwards and left a punch at his abdomen. I aimed for the pelvic bones. Hopefully I got even more. Another punch to the right knee cap from thirty degrees sent the man into penury and anguish. I trapped him by the shoulder, locked him round the hips to my left. Three times, I jabbed my left knee against his abdomen. Quickly, I sent him to the mud with a blindling slap to his right ear. “ Urrghhfff” I yelled out. Kendrick had taken me unaware and kicked my balls from behind. Like a tower hit by hailstorm, I crashed. What followed my vision where streaks of white blinding lights, pain and even more pain. I tried to cover my face. They yanked me up and flung me into a dark cell. I wanted to open my eyes and see where I'd been condemned into but I was too tired. Very hungry, as I had not eaten anything throughout the night and to couple with that, my balls were on fire. I felt castrated. I could hear voices, whispers but not make anything out of them. A tear escaped my eyes when I remembered Matthew Panshark. My best friend in the whole world. Then Ife. And memories of my late parents too. There I lay on the floor, and the thoughts of Matthew came again. All I did at Benin City in a bid for survival came flashing. It may have been a bit hazy before but now I could see it clearly in a trance. Bullets are whizzing past me. Gun fire everywhere, people running helter skelter. Succeeded in dragging Ray and Matthew out of the van but I had to go back again. Crawled into the tumbled van to check on my teammate- Garba. The accident was too much for him, he was already dead. I became discouraged. Then I checked “Valley's” pulse rate. “ Hey! Wake up! Wake up! I slapped him to his senses. “...hmm..” He mumbled, then opened his eyes“ Get off me... Get off me..” Shock in his voice” “ Shhhh! Quiet! ” I said “ Stop telling to keep quiet ” He said “ You knocked me out with a pistol. ” I told him I had to. That was part of the plan to save his ass. So he could save us when the time comes. Actually it was Garba who was supposed to do this but I had to lie anyway. “ What do you mean?” He insisted“ Gett off me... Whats happening... Bullets and gunshots outside. Whats happening? ” Hey... Hey listen. Look at me. Look at me. Take this gun” I gave it to him “ It's about to get real ugly out there. Between Matthew and I... One would have to die out there." “ Why? What do mean-? “..No time. I can't explain..” “ What am I supposed to do with this? He asked. “ It's your job to make sure the second person amongst us doesn't fall” He groped at me with shock. “ No. Not me. You do it" “ Hey! Hey! Listen. .. It's your job to make sure the second amongst us doesn't fall. Do you understand? This is crucial. ” I stamped my point. “ You must not miss. And don't waste the chance when it comes. Our lives depends on this. Understand? ” He nodded. “ Now close your eyes...Im going to pull you out of here.” “..Now close your eyes, I'm going to pull you out of here..” Those words echoed in my head as I laid on the floor before drifting into a deep soothing sleep. With bullets whizzing all around me from distances I could see men falling on my right, another hundred on my left, but no harm scratched even a hair on my head. ****** Narrator Mr Gerrard Finder and his men arrived the Edo state capital later that night. They were met by the CP of Police and the Conptroller Of White house Corrections Center, Benin City. After exchanging pleaseantries at the airport. It was time for business. “Its nice of you to receive us” Gerrard said to Comptroller Ahmed. “ The pleasure is mine" He replied “ The state governor wishes to let you know that you will get all we have at your disposal. The military and and intelligence. All of it. And in case you need more, no problem." “Im aware. I was told so at the Federal Capital." Gerrard replied “ it's a good start nevertheless and we have to locate the jungle as soon as possible." “ Sure. " “ First and foremost" he continued“ I'd like to see the sight of the ambush. How far is it? “ Why? Sure!” Ahmed replied “ No problem. Please this way" He ushered them to a vehicle.“ It's only three hours drive from the airport”. The story continues cc everyone who has been following up to this point. Thank you. personally. |
If this is fiction, then it's the best I've read in a while. If it's real, may God continue to bless all givers out there. They will never lack or want. And May God bless you that just read this comment. You and your generations to come will always have in excess to give and never lack anything at all for as long the earth remains. |
Chige777, do you intend marrying this lady in the nearest future? or are you just using her to pass time. you categorize her“ Your girl” sounds immature to me if you ask given you still have another girlfriend other than her. The best thing to do is to walk away honorably. She ain't worth the stress bro. If you love her as you claim then you should have planned on getting her hooked by challenging the other guy's intention of marriage but here you are pitying him. Catch-22 |

Episode 20- Say No More Bukky Arrg! Gbe body eh! ( Move your body!)...Sammy...Kuro mbe!( Get out of here!)” I exclaimed “ Heiy!!!" I tried to catch my breathe when I hit his chest, my grip on his collar slacked. I found my palms navigating for a surface to hold onto. Finally, I reached for a seat. “ Have mercy on me lord!” I began with an in coherent vocal chord“ For I have sinned...only you can save me now!” He tried to touch me. “keep your filthy hands to yourself” Traumatized but not deterred, I kept mute. He broke the silence. “ Wait! I don't understand...” He said “ I..I.. ai.. are.what..I don't understand.. Are you accusing me of cheating? “ You? He stepped backward with a sour grin on his face. I could tell he was furious. “ You? You, whom I married because I had pity on, that no man will ever meet up to the standards placed by your parents... The expectations... You? Who barely has time for me or anyone? “Someone I grew to love...while she grew wings? He continued “ And I watched as you devoted time into decieving people; faked charity giveaways; had church facilities and public amenities named in your honor.." He sighed “ The headlines bore: Bukola A. Alakara, the Ideal Politician” He demonstrated with a wave. He scoffed. “ Wow! Really? ... Wow!" I exclaimed in shock. “ Yes. ” He replied with disdain “And no one cared to find out how you got here! How you treated the man who " had pity on you”. He emphasized the sentence with a frown and hissed. I don't know why he chose that word, but certainly it's a fowl one for sympathy and I wished he could just stop. “ Are you really saying these to me? To my face? I asked. “ Yes” I left my palm on his cheeks. He thanked me but said “You don't know...Do you? He went on to tell me that I did not know how much he had sacrificed into making this work. He paced inches towards me. I withdrew from his reach. He motioned his right index finger. “ Whatever you are today... Bukky.. I paid the price.” At those words, I went blank in thoughts. He continued “... Yes... I've killed. I've plundered... I've lied... I have stolen... I have even slept with the devil.” He said “For you Bukky. Just for you...” “ Keep quiet Sammy” I began.“ Enough!” He stared at the walls again before replying “ No. I won't. You wanted the truth. It's bitter but I will tell you–” “I said quiet. Enough!" He continued in defiance. “ The assasination attempt on your life at Benin City. You want to know?” He asked “ I staged that too. I did. It was all me. To make you look like a victim against your opponent and ensure your re-election" “ What? You wanted to kill me?–” He snapped. “ Well now! I wish you had died a long time ago.” I couldn't believe this anymore. I paced the room. Figting with my ego. “ No– no–. Stop. Just stop. Tell me you are lying. I will believe you.” “ Lies are sweet. But the truth... It's a bitter pill” After all I've done for him. This is how he repays me? “ Wait! What are you saying? Samuel what rubbish are you saying? “ Rubbish? This is not rubbish. This is karma. Justice and equality. I will tell you–” He continued“ Years ago. Abuja Demolition. 2003. Rings a bell? “ What about it? “ Oh! You forgot? How you disobeyed me? “ How? What does it have to do with any of this? He continued “ Everything. In 2003 you hurt a young man named Fejiro and his brother. Their parents lost their lives in the Abuja Demolition. Which I personally- warned you against.” “ So..this..All these..? It's about Revenge? I asked.. “ And more. I'm sick and tired of your mind games. I'm tired..." I scoffed. I could feel my knee caps vibrate. Pain surged through my heart. I'd be lucky if I go through the next five minutes without a heart attack. “ What? What the-- I --- ” Half laughing and half confused“ What?? ... Are you kidding.. You ” I began to laugh more. Then it turned to tears. I stood up only to slump right back into the seat. But I did not faint. No. I wished to stay awake. I had a feeling I was dreaming. I cupped my face into my palms and lifted my head once more staring strangely into his eyes. Maybe this was all a dream. Then gradually I stood up, holding the words in my mouth. My lips must have been vibrating. My finger pointing at him and trying not to say offensive words. “ You know what? I said amidst tears and laughter. “ I'm grateful for all you have done...everything... and you will be rewarded. I swear by everything I hold dear.” He tried to speak up. “ shhh” I cut in“ Say no more. Lest you provoke my spirit ” I walked out on him. Tears swelled up my eyelids. I wiped them away and made for the door. “ Are you okay Ma? One of body guards asked me when I opened the door. “I'm fine.” I ushered two of them into the large hall. “ Do not take your eyes off him" I said “ If he tries anything you find funny or offensive. Shoot him... But not to kill..” They nodded. I stared at Samuel who kept silent and looked at me with so much regret in his eyes. ****** Itoro I may have heard a lot but at this point, the only word that escaped my mouth after watching this footage, summarizes everything going through my mind “ Damn!” ****** Jerry The Necklace Seth had ripped off my shoulders oscilated back and forth upon his own neck. He wore it so proudly but there was regret written all over his face. We had successfully passed through every hurdle and arrived a small town called Uromi, in Edo state. The heavy downpour was in no rush to subside any time soon. We drove all through the town and left it's outskirt towards another smaller town named Ubiaja. When we reached the boundary between the two towns, Seth told the drive to make a right turn as we approached and overhead train bridge. The rail way tracks ran all the through from the northern parts of the country towards the Niger Delta. This bridge was just a tiny mark on the long line. As we turned, Seth eyes caught mine when I noticed a sign post which reads “ NIFOR Branch office Uromi - Ubiaja Road) After two hours of frictional driving along a slippery and muddy pathway, we arrived a small village. Drove through it and passed another sign post which reads “ Welcome to Udo Kingdom, Igueben, LGA, Edo state" The convoy took a left turn at a T- Junction and then down another slippery and rough terrain. On both sides of the pathway, water ran in forceful amounts inside eroded gutters. All these while, no one said anything. Not even a word to each other. Another right turn and the cars blasted into a thick forest reserve in the community. Thirty minutes later, as I checked my wrist watch, we arrived our destination and all climbed down.
