Saraki will roast this one na. If you live in Kwara central, you'll know that Dr Oloriegbe is our next senator, Sarakis era is gone not because this guy is strong but bcoz we're generally tired of his brand of politics. The elites have been against him for quite a long time but now the Masses have latch on to this largely bcoz of so many issues such as his altercations with Buhari, non payment of salaries, lack of infrastructure in the state, betrayal of his father and the even high handedness in the ways he treats his political followers. If you truly admire him,I think the best you can di for him now is to pray for him not to end up in jail!!! Apparently, his cup his full. Even God is against him! |
Bolustical:Return back to Senate You need to come to Ilorin to feel the pulse of the electorate!Winning the presidential ticket of the PDP would have been a savings grace for him ! But with the current situation, I'll rather just advise him to just fizzle out jeje before the law enforcement agencies open his numerous files!!! |
xxxxAKEENOxxxx:It's not Atiku but Saraki... Too desperate!!! Always desperate,
|
Aldebaran:Thank God the guy is retired from politics! His assertion just buttressed the fact that most of our political leaders are clueless! Imagine spending close to four years in government at the topmost level and still can't distinguish between power, money and influence!!! |

SolutionMee:A democrat indeed! You're invited to Kwara to come and see how Saraki practices his own democracy!!! You can even gleam this from the recent governorship primaries when he forced other candidates to withdraw for Atunwa ,his crony over the weekend! |
mu2sa2:Saraki doesn't operate directly like that. He has networks so that the crimes he perpetrated cannot be easily traced to him and if care is not taken, all these people directly mentioned will just disappear without trace. He is very conny!!! A specific case in point is his Calabar house help who was the signatory to the Joy petroleum account in the Intercontinental Bank saga! The guy was killed ! |
ALCOHOLKILLS:He is not only a criminal but most of the achievement being ascribed to him are total nonsense! Imagine the guy talking about Shonga farms, this project was executed with Kwara state govt money only for people to realise later that it was registered in Sarakis name, the writer should just mention a project that the guy did since 2003 when he became the defacto leader of politics in our state other than the fact that he dictatorially chooses all the people to contest all the elective posts in the state from councillors to the governor!
|
edo3:At least some form of remuneration will come in,the handouts from husband's friends now come in trickles and so many mouths to take care of now!!! |

GavelSlam:I think it's high time Dele understands that Sarakis candidacy will not fly!!! All this figures he's banding may when elections were not credible and figures were just awarded! Saraki can never be trusted by anyone even within the PDP family and secondly and most importantly, his antecedents in Kwara state where he's been holding fort has become his albatross! It's very apparent now to people who are very conversant with Kwara politics that Sarakis will most likely not win his Senate seat again in 2019 talk less of being able to influence any other election, including the state governor!!! It's better for PDP to look for a more credible candidate! |
Qsscruz:Saraki is an epitome of anything illegal. He brought in exotic bullet proof cars without paying the import duties. He failed to declare his assets. He was receiving salary long after he left office as governor. He did nothing in the Senate other than pad the budgets and amend laws that suits their purpose. He ferried his looted resources far away to safe haven in Panama. Sources had it he is behind intercontinental bank crash. Societe general bank also crashed, thanks to his activities. A substantial part of Paris fund refund was diverted to his private account. I can go on and on. Yet, he is promising heaven and earth to hoodwink unsuspecting souls. In a saner clime, he would have been nailed long ago. His antecedents just stinks to high heaven. Dead on arrival ambition. May Nigeria triumph. Anthony Anyanwu |

GavelSlam:Punch is turning itself into an opposition megaphone by their rabid hatred for Buhari, the north and Islam generally! If you must criticize, I think it should be done with decorum and not with venom!!! It is very unfortunate that they've seriously deviated from constrictive and objective criticism devoid of providing or suggesting solutions to our myraid of problems. As for me, I've stopped reading the newspaper! |
haywhy1026:Mere conjectures to pull down PMB! The present head was never appointed by the vice president but was asked to take over as the most senior director in the agency!!! |
Dannyset:Dele Momodu is the writer and it's rather unfortunate that he's marketing a very bad product for our consumption! But whatever picture he wants to paint of his paymaster, Kwara state is a very apt evidence of the governance acumen of Saraki, it's widely known that he has a strangle hold on the politics as well as the finances of the state for the since 2003 till date!!! Of what benefit has he been to the state in terms of development!!! It's rather a tale of woes and underdevelopment! A person that has so much passion and abilityto develop a country would have used the opportunity he had in Kwara to showcase his ability but ask an average person from Kwara, you'll definitely get a tale of woes. Perhaps, the only thing that he's very good at is politics of manipulation, divide and rule etc. From the Ward councillor to the state governor, Saraki chooses who becomes what in Kwara state! He introduced thuggery into an otherwise peaceful state and has been in total control of the state finances! Pls, before you consider him as a credible candidate, ask anyone from Kwara about his antecedents. |
shakmati:If he can do that much, he'll have done it for Kwara. The guy is just too corrupt!!! |
jyz200:He doesn't greet the Emir of Ilorin like that o,he get wetin he dey look for!!! As soon as he gets what he's looking for that's when you'll see his true colors. |
meforyou1:You're talking of yesteryears, Saraki cannot even win his Senate seat again in Kwara of today o ! Ask anyone that lives in Kwara. |
Bolustical:Birds of the same feather, the other one from Kwara too is a goner too just like Saraki. |
zlantanfan:Let him learn to ride Elephants ,certainly nothing for him again in Ilorin o! Maybe he can get something at the national level. |
femcruz:You seems to understand the guy better! Part of the strategy now is to bribe prophets to be saying he's gonna win the next election ,you noticed one of them came out recently to say the next President's name will start with S,you'll still see more! Another strategy is that soon, the other aspirants in PDP will start getting molested and embarrassed in different locations across the country thus people will start doubting their popularity! Opinion moulders too will start selling his candidacy, its started with Dele Momodu and Okupe, others will follow suit soon after being financially induced!!! |
Oblang:The guy still think we're in the past when some so called leaders or retired generals ie OBJ,IBB,Danjuma etc will just anoint you and you become President, the era has changed! Saraki is even going about bribing religious leaders to make predictions of his becoming the President, that's why you'll see some fake prophets saying such things as,the next presidents name will start with S or he will common from a state starting with K . The guy takes everyone for a fool that can be manipulated easily. |
NOC1:Even Saraki is not okay here o! Anybody that tells you that is seriously joking! We're waiting for him in 2019 and I can authoritatively you that his cup is full . He's surely not going back to the Senate. |
magzey:It's the other way round. Saraki has reached out to the pastor ni. Saraki, playing on our intelligence since he was born. First it was Okupe then Dele Momodu and now it's the turn of Pastors. Mark it, more predictions of his name are still coming! |
Kingosytex:What you failed to realize is that Saraki is in a very tight corner and his calculations are going wrong and if he's not careful, this will consume him politically. The truth is that Saraki doesn't really want to leave APC bcoz he will be finished politically without the backing of the federal might!!! What he wanted to do is just to whip the party in to line so that he will gain more relevance and be in the scheme of things post 2019,but the president has realized this and knows that he doesn't really have the clout to do much damage to his reelection. The truth is that even in Kwara state, Sarakis popularity is considerably low, people from Ilorin will attest to this and that is why the PDP won the last local government elections, though the results were later manipulated by the state electoral commission. All the damage control he's now doing since the last local government elections has not really gone down well with majority, some of his close aides have deserted him and there was a parallel Congress of the APC during the last elections. If he goes into opposition now and there is a free and fair election, there is no surety he's coming back to the Senate! He knows this, the president knows it and the present Kwara PDP also knows it. |
oyetunder:You should be smart enough to know that these are rented crowd to make a statement! I'm from Ilorin and I live in Ilorin and I can authoritatively tell you that Sarakis popularity is currently at it's lowest point in the town. All this crowd are being stage managed to create a pre desired effect! You know that the guy is very smart. He wants to create an impression that he still control the state ! Remember he was pelted with pure water not too long ago in this same town. |
NyenwePHC:What you need to understand is that Baraje is Sarakis stooge, he brought him into politics and made him the chairman of the then pdp whatever he says is a script of Saraki. |
Balet:He knows the EFCC is about to continue with their Case after Nyame and Dariye,he's just preparing the ground to shout persecution!!! Just the way Saraki shouted at the Senate chamber.... I sincerely hope that all these corruption cases will come to logical conclusions this time around! |
Esseite:Saraki did not bankroll the robbery but he's like the godfather of the 'good boys' as those thugs are tagged. They work for him and he and the government gives them protection. Whenever they get into any trouble, they always get released without much ado! In turn they do all the dirty political jobs for the godfather, which includes rigging, assassinations etc where and when necessary. Now,if you know the antecedents of Saraki, you will understand how mean, greedy and desperate he can be but he's rather been very smart and fortunate that he's been escaping the law all along.Starting from the collapse of the Societe Generals Bank in which he squandered about 17 billion naira of depositors money to the bleeping and strangle hold he had on Kwara politics which led to the betrayal of his father, his name is always associated with one scandal or another. Saraki and the stooge governor knows the enormity of the evidence against them this time around (that's why the IGP had the effrontery to snub him and even refused to pick his calls) That's why he got jittery and started claiming political persecution on the floor of the Senate! |
nkwuocha:What's Islam got to do with this? What you're commenting on might probably not have been perpetrated by any herdsmen. Have you heard about Gana and his militia men who have been having a running battle with the state governor and have promised to make the state ungovernable? Aside that, whatever problem there is between the herdsmen and the farmers is not premised on religion. For your information, not all herdsmen in Benue state are Fulani's and even the Fulani's amongst them are not all Muslims. |
Next2Bezee:Let them continue the self denials. It's very apparent that it's a case of damage control! What they seemed to have forgotten is that, Aside the Otobo lady, some other girls are linked to the randy Apostle Suleiman! How do we reconcile that! Well, the effort will definitely yield it's own effect....as for me sha, they'll need to try harder! |
You need to come to Ilorin to feel the pulse of the electorate!

Ilorin...a city with highest numbers of Yoruba cowards. a city where they praise themselves as having mouths sweeter than salt... Sad, they have idle arms. Call them Ilorin Afonja...they will tell you they are Ilorin Caliphate.
