More wisdom. Maximus69: Smiles: Glory to God!. REVELATIONS4:11 COLOSSIANS1:16 I knew those two scriptures will always witness against anyone who doesn't believe in the triune nature of God. It will whip any one, again and again, who doesn't believe John1:1, Philippians2:6 It's scriptural. We are not in anyway trying to decieve you. And I submit to you that if it were not so(if what we call Trinity were not true), I would have been against it: but who can be against God's Word and not be judged guilty?. |

Maximus69: Well it might be a judgement against you (I hope not) if you now call the word of God stories, and you can't even spend a few minutes to read what you requested for[an explanation backed up by scriptures]; just the same way you expect people to read the awake.

Maximus69: [Remember ; the eunuch went his way rejoicing. That's all I think I heard about him in the Bible. The Spirit caught up Philip to Azotus; which means that Philip has done the needful for this eunuch.] The Holy Spirit will lead them; you can't leave your salvation to chance. That's too risky. There is a need to be circumspect and only the Holy Spirit can search that out. It's Him that will unite you with those who love God; through the Word, through perception, through visions and dreams, or through any scriptural channel; and as such you can fellowship with them: come together for prayers, praises worship, Edification, Exhortation and comfort. That was how the early Church worked. If you have a Church already and you love God, start from there, if there is anything that they are teaching that is not scriptural; you were born for such a time as this: speak to them from the unadulterated Word of God. If you are led to another place, do as God commands you. Remember that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. It's a personal walk, my dear friend. Proverbs 18:1 " Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom." |

Maximus69: Just a breif response will do; and when you hand me a complete copy of awake, you expect me to read it. Don't you? No wonder people reject 'em. Jesus appointed teachers over his church; neither through a single methodology nor a particular denomination. I find the salvation of Paul interesting.(GALATIANS1:1-17) God has more people than you know about; Elijah thought he was the only one left: but God is the fountain of wisdom. Romans 11:3 "Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life. 4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. 5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace." Paul is speaking he exclaimed: and this will bless you if you will hear. 1 Corinthians 14:36 "What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?" Obviously, the answer to Paul's question is No. |

Maximus69: The eunuch went his way: Philip disappeared without making any mention of any group. The only thing this men (Philip, Peter) went to preach was to tell them about Christ. They believed that Jesus is the son of God. As simple as that; they were saved. Not even invitation to any denomination as good as that may be, they never said anything like "if you are not a member of our denomination, you will perish" or something; the early Church had slight differences but all United by the Spirit in Christ: Now, if you look closely at the differences, most of them are negligible. Check some of my previous posts especially the ones on the life of Jesus while on Earth. I guess you missed them. |

Maximus69: Opinion? I have no opinion here (humbly speaking). I lay my opinions down that the word of God will be all in all. There are two words in the Bible used to describe two dimensions of the body of Christ: 1.The Church 2. Churches. ( I will give us a few scriptures.) The Church is the general Assembly of the first born; both those in the body and them that sleep; Children of God across all strata of human existence. Hebrew12:22- Hebrews 12:22 22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, 23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel. (Ref.: Romans12:5 *Icor.12:12,13,14,20 *Ephesians4:16, Eph.5:23) The churches are what we know as "denominations". (You will find them all over the scriptural Epistles). So long as the individuals are saved through genuine faith in Christ Jesus, they are Children of God. In this, Only two or three persons are enough, irrespective of their denominations. By the way, you can't even vouch for everyone in your denomination in terms of holiness unless through revelation. You may have reasons to believe that a denomination is doing well, no problem with that; but saying that it's the only true church might even be blaspemy. Matthew 18:19 "Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Of course, No denomination is mentioned in this verse(20). The Lord is concerned about every one of the "churches" enabling them to work on their weaknesses and improve in strength. He rebuked the bad and commends the good. To the end that we all will be fully transformed into his very image; in righteousness, in the fruits and also in power. |

Maximus69: You missed the point. Peter went only to tell them of a man named Jesus who was anointed with the holy Spirit and with power and he went about doing good; they believed it. As easy as that: they were saved and got baptised. No methodology, no errenous teaching, not even an invitation to a denomination. Pls, Check my next last post. Also check the encounter between Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch: Just take your time and read the scriptures. |

Maximus69: Now, let's examine the life of Paul. Having said much already I will make this as brief as I can, you can read the rest from your Bible. GALATIANS1:1-17 "1: Paul, an apostle—not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead— 2 and all the brothers who are with me, To the churches of Galatia: 3Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, 4who gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, 5to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. 6I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7:not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. 8:But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. 9:As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed. 10:For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ. 11:For I would have you know, brothers, that the gospel that was preached by me is not man's gospel. 12:For I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ. 13:For you have heard of my former life in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God violently and tried to destroy it. 14And I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people, so extremely zealous was I for the traditions of my fathers. 15But when he who had set me apart before I was born, and who called me by his grace, 16was pleased to reveal his Son to me, in order that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with anyone; 17nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia, and returned again to Damascus." (You can read till verse 24) |

(Acts10:9-20; for context, read Acts10:1-48) I will quote only what peter said: Acts 10:34&35 "Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: 35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. Maximus69: At one time, Philip was led to speak to a man from Ethiopia; an eunuch. At length, this man was saved. immediately Philip disappeared without inviting him to his denomination. An the Eunuch went his way rejoicing. [For more, read Acts8:26-40] Acts 8:37-39 "And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. 38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. 39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing." That single sentence was all it took; because it came from the heart. {More to come} |

Maximus69: The disciples of Jesus found a man who was casting out demons in the name of Jesus; he didn't try to cast them out, he did it. Which implies that he believes in the power in the Name of Jesus. The disciples were offended but Jesus commended him. I guess what this man was doing is what you call isolated worship . Mark 9:38-40 " And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us. 39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. 40 For he that is not against us is on our part ." Be careful with the teachings of any man who preaches that his own denomination is the only true church; well, he can be saying so sincerely, but he is sincerely wrong. |

Maximus69: Maximus69: [reply cont'd.] Any and every Christian is to emulate Christ Jesus. And in the life of Christ Jesus, He has a personal relationship with the Father. Most of his prayer time is spent alone (even though there are times when he prays with his disciples or even while preaching). But it's what He prays in the secret; during His personal time with the Father that is being rewarded in the open.[Mark1:35, Matthew 14:23, Matthew26:36-39, Mark6:46, Luke 5:33, Luke 6:12] Matthew 6:5,6 "And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly." If you don't have a personal relationship with God, you may find yourself praying to be seen as a prayer warrior; you may not even realize it. But if you have a personal walk with God; he will reward you in the open. [For more, stuy the prayer life of the Lord Jesus] The denomination makes no difference: the fruits do. Flee from any man preaching about his ministry(denomination) as the only way to heaven. when Jesus went over to the country of the Gadarenes, the only man he had a notable "encounter" with was the man from who demons were cast out. This man became the voice of Christ to all around him (even in Decapolis). It is a wonder that he didn't even have to follow Jesus, peter, James, etc [physically] for him to be approved of the Lord . Not that he didn't want to: Christ told him he didn't have to.[mark5:17-20] I will quote only mark5:18&19 to make it brief, you can read the rest from your Bible. Mark 5:18-19 "And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him. 19 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee ." {More to come} |

Maximus69: Firstly, I have to say that you probably didn't understand what I meant in my post where I said "The Holy Spirit will guide you". If you believe in Christ: then you are a child of God; and God's gift to his children is the Spirit. Therefore, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh but by the Spirit (Romans8:1).When He guides you, you can never be led astray. never. Secondly, you mentioned something about "isolated worship", we will discuss it as we proceed. [Let's start with this: I will only give a few scriptures since you don't like long posts] The Bible talks about two ways to attract the presence of God; and everything that comes with it. 1. By having a personal relationship with God; a personal fellowship and communion with the Father, Son and Spirit. It's almost hypocrisy if you don't have a personal relationship with God except in the presence of others. Revelation 3:20 "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." it's only Him that can give you the ability to percieve, and the parameters to know those who worship Him sincerely; and as such, join them in fellowship. 2. The gathering of the brethren; Cooperate worship; Christians having fellowship with God. Matthew 18:1 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. The latter is made more perfect by the former; it is almost hypocrisy if you don't have a relationship with God except in the presence of others. You need to have a strong personal relationship with God. {more to come} |

Maximus69: I understand your point. but I have a word for you. What if you're the only one who truly worships God in your generation? Its unlikely: but possible. Remember, Jesus asked Luke 18:8 " I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? " So there is a possibility that people's love will grow cold and forsake the Faith. But to what extent, we do not know. What if it happens like in the days of noah.? that only one family (or one man) is left? Will you lose your salvation just like that? your salvation is not based on any man's decision. Desire the sincere milk that you may grow; have the engrafted Word of God in you; it's through it that you are saved by Faith; If you believe in Christ, ask for the Holy Spirit and The Father will give Him to you; He will Guide you. It all starts with knowing Christ Jesus. believing that Christ came in the flesh, died and resurrected and has ascended to heaven; all for us. then walk out your salvation with fear and trembling. The Holy Spirit will guide you. Do not forsake the gathering of the brethren: the body of Christ. Then, you use the gifts in you for Exhortation, Edification and Comfort of the Church: and soul winning. |

Maximus69:Alright. Let me establish this: 1. Salvation has nothing to do with being a Church goer (in a denomination);the principles of salvation are in God's Word: to transform us into the image of Christ; in character; in righteousness:having the fruits of the spirit, while not denying the power thereof [but walking in the power of God]: for this is God's will for us. 2. You have to fellowship with the brethren; the body of Christ. Don't tell me you are lacking in any of the two. { I hope not, but I'm surprised about your repetition of still "going in search" of the right church; when are you going to find it?} |

It's one of the few versions that are elaborate while maintaining exactly the meaning of the original text. You declined my offer to examine the scriptures and discuss with you on the topic; and i honoured your decision. I only highlighted a few scriptures to give you a brief picture. But many events have happened from the beginning (of eternity) before John had that vision. Anyway I agree with you that true Christians must worship God in Spirit and in Truth. Goodnight. |

Maximus69: That's okay with me, let me drop this: u don't have to reply. Ancient of days means "Eternal Father", that is "Father of eternity": let's see what the amplified version of the Bible says. ISAIAH9:6 AMP:"For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father [of Eternity], Prince of Peace." In Revelations1, John Saw Christ in the very image of the ancient of days:. That's after he has been re-entrusted with the Glory of the throne. DANIEL7:9 AMP: "I kept looking until thrones were placed [for the assessors with the Judge], and the Ancient of Days [God, the eternal Father] took His seat, Whose garment was white as snow and the hair of His head like pure wool. His throne was like the fiery flame; its wheels were burning fire." REVELATIONS1:12-14 12:Then I turned to see [whose was] the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands, 13And in the midst of the lampstands [One] like a Son of Man, clothed with a robe which reached to His feet and with a girdle of gold about His breast. 14 His head and His hair were white like white wool, [as white] as snow, and His eyes [flashed] like a flame of fire. Religion / Re: Do You Subscribe To The Doctrine Of Trinity? If "Yes", Take This Challenge! by Csonice1: 1:10am On Aug 31, 2020 |
Maximus69:Alright. Jehovah (YHW) is the name of God; one out of the multifaceted Name of God. "I AM THAT I AM" Jesus is the son: the Word of God. of whom it was recorded in John1:1 that He was God. Philippians2:5-11 bore witness that he was equal to the Father but he laid down every right to the throne and became a servant, a man, a mortal; And how the glory of the throne was entrusted to Him Again. Now, in Matthew chapter28:18 when he had been re-entrusted with the Glory of the throne, the glory that he had with the Father in the beginning (John17:5), He declared it to the brethren. That Name is Lord (YHW); that Name is the Name of one who sat on The throne; That Name is God. That Name is the Name Jehovah. Alpha-Omega, That Name is The King of kings and the Lord of lords. That Name is represented by his name on Earth: Jesus. That Name was declared by a disciple after an encounter with Christ [ref. John20:28. ] That Name is the Name of The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Three persons in one God.
Time will fail me to elaborate on the dispensations, and why Christ is called the Everlasting Father [ancient of Days], amongst all his Name. (Isaiah 9:6). but if you are okay with it, we can discuss them. But note that the Bible is a compendium of events; that have happened from the beginning, Events happening now and the Events that will happen after, till eternity; each one of them has a unique significance; Revelations 1:19 gives us a glimpse of the principle with which the scriptures were written; ie according to the dispensations [with respect to times]. It's only the Author of Scriptures that can teach us what the word says.( John16:13; 2peter1:20,21) Only then are we able [through study] to rightly divide the Word of Truth (2Timothy2:15); According to the things that were, the things that are and the things that will be here after.

Janosky: No no no. you, read it from your own Bible, but make sure it's not twisted to cover up your insecurities. While Christ was in the Earth: before He was Re-entrusted with the glory of the throne, he was subject to the Father. because he has stripped himself of glory: laid down his rights to the throne; he became mortal. of course he was not mortal ; he became a man, sent by the one who sat on the Throne, he became a servant; laid down his life; do you know how many things he laid down just for our redemption? Philippians2:5-11 throws more light on this. also read Hebrews1:1-3 1 Like |

Janosky: Every thing that the enemy is manifesting is a counterfeit of God's principles; Do you know about out of the body experiences? The person out of the body is the same as the source from which the spirit came forth, ie the body: for an Omni-present one: the Spirit can have several "duplicates" at many places at the same time.[here, I'm trying to enlarge your perspective of the scriptures] Now, Christ is God's Word. the same as God. with Him in the beginning. proceeding from Him. as Creator. Being God. John 1:1-3 , John16:27&28 both of them having The same Spirit. siting on the same throne. being United, just as a body having distinct parts. Something amazing happened that you don't know about. Philippians 2:5-11 Secondly, I will think you are joking if the whole of you doesn't take responsibility for what a part of your body is doing. Any action worthy of commendation done by any part of the body is to the glory of the whole body; think about a skillful artist: the whole body works in unison. the part that was used for drawing [even though it's complete and unique on it's own] is not independent of the agreement of the brain [mind]. If I were to address you, I will call you your name; I don't have to call you in parts. |
