Maximus69: Shut up please ( humbly speaking) Let me be frank with you: The only sin ever is not to trust God's Word, and to modify it to fit your liking; of which when (the doubt) acted on, it leads to death. The word of the Lord is filled with the most wonderful promises ever[life, protection, provision, power, sanctification, fruitfulness, communion with God, inumerable others]: the question is the same; do you believe them? let's try a check on that: faith; Do you believe that you can have whatever you ask for, when you ask in the name of Jesus through faith: anything at all even greater than the wonderful things you are talking about (in Eden). Sin means (transgressions) through not knowing or not trusting God's Word. simple Truth. |

Maximus69: all these things you mentioned that they have, I can assure you that humans who have the understanding of God's Word have them too. There are men who in this generation and in recent history walked in these dimensions: (except the lack of prayer, of course) prayer is communion with God; they had that; you have that too. actually you can't justify yourself in that please. if you don't believe me: @ least look at the life of Noah (amongst others). Besides, do you know how beautiful that tree looks, how many times they passed it, how enticing, how much tempting it was especially after the enemy Drew their attention to it?. temptation has always existed: the only way out is just to triumph over them. The weight of a commandment is commensurate to the level of the promise; so all these things they enjoyed was dependent on their ability to resist the temptation of eating a single fruit. it must mean a whole lot. The glory that the Lord Jesus obtained was as a result of him triumphing over every temptation; I must tell you that it wasn't easy. Great glory = great battle won( over temptation). The glory of Eden = triumphing over the temptation in Eden. |

Maximus69: By comparison, their sin is way smaller than the sins that humans commit these days. (not to justify them) but I know that all it takes for a man to make peace with his Maker is dependent on how long he genuinely repents and seeks God's face. for all have sinned: even though Adam &Eve started the whole thing, I guess if you are to compare their sins and yours(let's be sincere), you may not be able to cast a single stone @ them. I can assure you that despite all, God still loved them, and cares for them, and they still honoured the provision of God. remember what Eve said whenever she gave birth to offsprings. This is my humble contribution to this thread: Pls, Let's leave pride/human doctrinal limitations and Study God's Word with humility and pray for the revelation of His Word. Amen. |

joyandfaith: The wisdom of God is profound; His dexterity finds out every detail about every soul in existence, when a man is out of the body (dead), God's wisdom allocates to him the fruits of his labour on Earth. Some to heaven others to hell. However, there are dispensations. According to the Revelation that was given to John, Even before the first trumpet sounds something happened (remember that the last Trump is the seventh): Revelation 6:9-11 "And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: 10And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on THEM THAT DWELL ON THE EARTH? 11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren ( who are still alive on Earth), that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled." Peter has this to say: 1 Peter 4:5&6 "(The Church)...shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead. 6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead (out of the body), that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit." At The final Judgement; Revelation 20:11-15 "And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." From these scriptures, make your conclusion. 1 Like |

Maximus69: What? parable? who taught you that? you know what? Those who truly study the scriptures will see that you don't really know what you are even talking about. I wish there were a more modest way to say that. let me establish this before I proceed: John preached the baptism of repentance: not actually the law of Moses, Abraham was not under the law, he was justified through faith. No one before the death of Christ could have access into His Authority. they prayed and did everything in their own names. John, a mysterious man -a man more than a prophet - came to make the way and to make Jesus known( he wasn't even under the law: the Pharisees thought that something was wrong with him; and the Bible clearly says he was also Elijah). Now, when Christ died, we were no longer servants but Sons of God: having the Authority of Christ. Not even the angels have that much authority ( humbly speaking) Why then do you think that we pray in a name that seems as if it doesn't belong to us( the name of Jesus)?: it belongs to us! We are the body of Christ! "if ye be Christ's , then are ye Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise" GALATIANS3:29 1 Like |

LUKE20:37,38 (Jesus speaking) Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. 38 For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him . {Matthew 13:41, 42,43} (Explaining the true meaning of a parable to His disciples, Jesus said) The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear." The Book of Revelation (the last book of the Bible) will make it clearer. 1 Like |

GENESIS 1:26&27 "26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." God's nature is in man: man was called Adam; representing mankind. When another personality (Eve) was to be created, she was taken out of the man: so Eve was in the man. Adam understood what happened and it reflected on his words when he met Eve. Note that despite the fact that they are two, the man and his wife were one flesh. How much more they that are one Spirit? : for God is Spirit. Christ is/was/will continue to be in God: as an integral dimension of Him; ie His Word: who was with Him in the beginning, and was God. (John 1:1&2). He was made flesh for our redemption through the Spirit; So they are three persons in one God. Both the Father, His Word and His Spirit are one(1John5:7): The Father generates the ideas; His Word goes forth ; and executes it by the power of the Spirit. what do you think? does Christ not have only one bride: Even though there are many members (persons)? The Spirit of the Lord in every Christian, is He not one? (and yet He is in us and also with everyone of us). So, the Spirit of the Father is also in His Son Jesus and the same Spirit is known in the Bible as the Spirit of Jesus. This is a mystery: and only those who submit to the teaching of the Author of Scriptures can understand it: it's only when you become a humble learner of the Word that u are able to teach those who yet do not understand. Some people go to God's Word as if trying to learn from a colleague or worse still trying to teach Him(God) what they thought they know. let's remove pride and human doctrinal limitations when studying God's word Shalom. 1 Like |

Janosky: I love that: for Christ's sake and His gospel you can call me whatever you want but His Word still stands. Glory to God!. If it were not so, I would have told you; However, no one can change the Truth of God's Word. Did the scriptures not say that our life is hidden with Christ in God? Did the Bible not say that the head of Christ is God?; Is the head to be separated from the rest of the body? Do they not work in unison to form one body? Is it not written in God's Word that a man shall leave his father and his mother and cleave unto his wife and the twain (two) shall be one flesh? How much more they that are one Spirit : of which when John saw Jesus in Revelations ; the Lord Jesus told him "I am the Alpha and Omega.." Did Colossians 1:15 not say that Jesus is the image of the invisible God? These things are mysteries: that's why the heavenly beigns are not tired to praise God as the mysteries unfold : They are willing to cast their crowns and bow to the God who is full of mysteries. Colossians 2:8-10 "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10.And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:" Goodnight. |

Preciousgirl: Sincerely, I understand that when we try to read the Bible with our human wisdom we get it all wrong. There is a reason Jesus calls them the mysteries of the kingdom of God. Jesus is an integral dimension of God; because He is His Word, with God from the beginning. {according to John1:1&2} For our sakes he stripped himself of Glory and came down to drink of the cup: and to rise on the third day for our redemption. Now, when he took flesh he became a little lower than the angels and became who we are that we might become who He is. When He resurrected He ascended far above principalities and powers : and sat at God's right hand ( the same position of authority with Him). 1 Like 1 Share |
Religion / Trinity And The Unity Of The Church by Csonice1: 7:22pm On Aug 13, 2020 |
There is a great need for all who are in Christ Jesus to come to a point where we attain the unity of faith; for we are members of one body in Christ through the Spirit. Therefore, We can only achieve unity of faith through reading the Bible by the insight of the Holy Ghost: feeding on the Word with the guidiance of the Author. CONCERNING THE TRINITY: From the scriptures, It's obvious that God, His son and His Spirit are one. -1- God is the God of Truth (Isaiah65:16), The Spirit of God is the Spirit of Truth (John14:17), and Jesus Who is God is the Truth ( John1:1&2; John14:6) -2- The Spirit of God is the Spirit of Jesus: For He is The Spirit of God (Genesis1:2; Matthew3:16; Acts2:17; Romans8:14) And also the Spirit of His Son Jesus Christ. (Romans8:14; Galatians4:6) -3- And here is the mystery: to those whom it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of God. Jesus said"I and my Father are one" (John10:30) And both are one with the Spirit (1John5:7) Ponder on this: If it be so that a man can be joined to his wife and they become one flesh, how much more they that are spirit: if we beign different individuals are baptized into the same body by the Spirit How much more the Father and His Son [His Word] (1Cor.6:17; 1cor.12:13) LET US, therefore, never forget the Lord's prayer: " That they may be one... even as we are one" (John17:21&22) To those who love Christ: Shalom. 2 Likes |

Religion / Does Meat Condemn A Man? Let's Examine The Scriptures by Csonice1: 5:33pm On Aug 13, 2020 |
THIS IS WHAT THE WORD SAYS CONCERNING MEAT AND DRINKS What goes into the belly of a man does not condemn him, it's what proceeds out of his mouth (coming from his heart: usually expressed through his actions) that defiles him. For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. Meat (or no meat ) neither draw us closer nor farther from The Lord: The state of your heart does. However, it can be a personal decision not to eat a certain meat ( just like a fast); and for the sake of your brother's conscience. {Scriptures are attached below} 1CORINTHIANS8:8 "8:But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse." MARK7:18-23 "18: (Jesus was speaking to the disciples ) :And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him; 19:Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats? 20:And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man 21:For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22:Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: 23:All these evil things come from within, and defile the man." 1CORINTHIANS8:13 "13:Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend" ROMANS14:17-20 "17:For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost 18:For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men. 19:Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. 20:For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence." COLOSSIANS 2:16 "16:Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:" |

Do you really know what I will think of you if you tell me that your brethren are theives? And what if you are wrong? How are you sure that you are teaching the Gospel of Christ and not opposing it? You are highlighting scriptures about false prophets; is that all you saw in your Bible? You did not see where Paul told the church about 2000 years ago not to despise prophecy? You never read about the desiring of spiritual gifts, of impartation? Of God's power 2000 years ago: and I tell you God's power is still working today. Just because you don't like a man's prophecy, you are quoting scriptures about false prophets; what crime has he committed? That is the big Question? Let me clearly call to your remembrance how Jesus was accused of several things yet He was perfect. So when you are quoting scriptures about false prophets I'm trying to fit his( the man in question) life into the context. But I doesn't fit @ all. Kobojunkie: You do not know the scriptures neither do you know the power of God: you are teaching methodology; you think it's humility but it's gross unbelief. Christ; A MAN approved OF GOD : Who came down from heaven, stripped himself of glory and died. He rose from the dead and gave us everything that His Name represents. He gave us his Spirit to guide us into the knowledge of the truth of God's Word, and to make us into a true replica of the full stature of a believer in Christ. Now, The Holy Spirit works in greater ways than you can imagine. No true prophet has ever been independent of God, Jesus and the Holy spirit: only that people don't usually believe them if the message doesn't suit the itchy ears of the unbelievers. The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy: but you will never manifest any dimension without Faith, for without Faith it's impossible to please God. There is a mystery that make a man a vessel unto honour meet for the master's use. There is a place (scriptural basis) for impartation and partaking in the grace to manifest spiritual gifts. (There are so many things I want you to know from God's Word, but from what you said, you may not be able to understand them now; but if you truly love God and read his word by the inspiration of The Spirit , He will them known to you) As a prophet, God can reveal to you things about yourself, other people, a nation and even His plans for Generations yet unborn. There is nothing small about our God and if you understand God,you will know that there ought to be nothing small about His sons. If you repent, sincerely so, perhaps God will forgive you: of your lie. From your first sentence, I can't help but be amazed at the high level of contradiction between your opinion(doctrine) and the scriptures: AND since you are speaking of the new testament, I will call to your remembrance the following verses amongst numerous others ( that's if you've ...ever read them before). If you are willing to know the truth, you can check them and read for yourself, but if not, stop trying to decieve the Church. Do you know about Ananias & Sapphira; their encounter with peter? {Acts5:1-15} Do you know about Saul (Paul); how he was saved and received his sight? {Acts9:10-17} Have you not read about Philip and his daughters? {Acts8:26-40,Acts21:8&9} How about the prophets of Jerusalem and those @ Antioch? {Acts11:27,Acts13:1} How about a man (Paul)who laid hands on people and they began to prophesy? {Acts19:6} And he even desired to do more! With so much confidence. {Romans1:11} Have you heard anything about Agabus? {Acts11:28,Acts21:10-33} Timothy? {1Timothy1:18,1Timothy4:14} READ 1COR.12,13&14 FOR CLARIFICATION Also read The BOOK OF REVELATION given to John. To those who love God: have faith in God and despise not prophecies (1Thesselonians5:20), flee from anyone having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof (2Timothy3:5), if you need witnesses: feed on the Word Never criticise a man just because of your opinion; especially when you have not attained his level of death to the flesh: ( there are men who have hazarded their lives for the sake of the gospel of Christ just like in the days of Paul and Silas) even if they keep quiet, their sacrifice speaks. 1 Like |
