She almost got it before. And she was the most qualified too atleast according to every global media agency that matters like CNN, BBC and co.
Unfortunately, America was not sure of her loyalty to American interests and so had to settle for someone ''less'' with real proven ties to America.
It is all global politics, and Nigeria has no real global leverage which she can build on.
Anyway she can try again. I am sure she will get it this time with bill gates and co on her side oiling the American leverage for her.

I am impressed actually. One of the very few times in Nigeria we have had overwhelming Igbo support of a cause.
Such patriotism is admirable. wink

Enlightened people dont shut down all economic or academic activities. Shows that you are still living in the stone age. They call on their leaders to push their agenda until they call for a referendum. Unfortunately, your leaders do not give a flying Bleep. If the Yorubas want to secede tomorrow, it would happen like a movie. No useless protests, no hate preaching, no fuckery. We know the right channels to go through.
Note that this foolery is not going to affect a strand of hair on anybody. Keep deceiving yourselves.
You this illiterate vomiting untrue nonsense.
Awolowo was the first person to attempt secession and was arrested and jailed for treason before an Igbo man stupidly released him else he would have died in jail.
The yorubas already tried their hands at secession in the 60s and it failed woefully without a wimper or any hope of success.

my brother, don't be fooled by the "beer parlour gist" have you tried reading the US history and government? the Federal Govt has powers over the security, mineral resources, economy and many more... just like the way it is being done in nigeria. the US president also have his representatives in each state.
The major difference between nigeria and US is that their state executives look inward to also develop their state instead of sitting down to wait for federal government allocation. what Obasanjo did to Lagos was a blessing in disguise for them
Mineral resources exploration and revenues generation are under the purview of states or even individuals who owns the area where such resources are struck. Ofcourse, the federal government has oversight for federal taxes and an agreed percentage emanating from the resources , but that is just it -OVERSIGHT.
States have their own police, though external defence and investigation of crimes crossing state lines rests with FG as expected. We have the federal economy and state economy. And the state economy is vey autonomous.
Carlifornia is the 6th largest economy in the world by GDP and negotiates trade deals with nations as long as it does not contradicts federal laws for states under US sanctions.

Whoever is in charge of Atikus PR team is doing a very very good job, see as he don package Oga so tay people don dey see am as "friendly neighborhood superhero". I dont reckon there is a more "gullible" nation than Nigeria, Nigeria is like a wife that her husband keeps abusing and with just a little whisper of 'sweet nothings' she starts to see him as the best husband again............... angry angry
Probably the same people that laundered buhari's image from a tyrant with a record of recession and a repressive archaic style of governance ,to a repentant democrat and an apostle of change grin
I hope you know these politicians walk in the same cliques.

It's not about osho being good or bad... it's how good is he compired to the former PDP government before him... That's what am saying
His ''good'' is not good enough.
We may have different ideas of good here. Edo state is a highly indebted state with low levels of productivity.
He is not good enough, neither is Nigeria politics ideological enough to blanket politicians with their predecessors like you want to paint POI.

id2019:
Edo State owes a total of $179.52m as of June 30, which is 4.91 per cent of the
country’s subnational foreign debts. With an external debt of $41.19m in 2010, Edo State, for instance, was not among the most indebted states in the country, but during this change during Oshiomhole regime. However, by the end of December 2015, the state’s external debt profile had leapt to $168.19m, showing a difference of $127m. This means that the state’s external debt rose by 308.34 per cent in five years. Many Edo people don't quite understand why Gov. Oshiomhole is going the extra mile to make sure that his benefactor, Godwin Obaseki succeeds him as Edo governor. Oshiomhole have borrowed significant amount of money from foreign agencies like the world Bank and others. He has also raised money from selling government
bonds locally. All the borrowing were done using Godwin Obaseki's private finance company as consultants representing government in the negotiations. So much to say about conflict of interest.
Obaseki who heads the state economic team recommended his private company
as the consulting firm that advised Edo government on money matters.
His personal company or companies that he has an interest in represented Edo
government in all the negotiations.
Godwin Obaseki's firm earned a commission and a fixed payment for the services
it rendered to Edo government.
At the same time he was personally employed by the government and he's on the
government's pay book. Not bad for a government that's fighting corruption. It is
very clear to see why Oshiomhole would put his head through the eye of a needle
to make Obaseki governor.
Oshiomhole couldn't have done anything in government without Obaseki.
If there are any dirty deals to cover up, Obaseki is the man to do the job
efficiently.
He knows everthing about Oshiomole's government than the governor himself.
If Obaseki succeeds Oshiomhole, Edo people will never know how all the
borrowed money was expended. And thats why we must Vote for Ize Iyamu so he can help us investigate Oshiomhole mismanagement of edo funds
Edo state is one of the top three most indebted states in the country.
What has oshiomhole done that can justify such spending?

Besides, what ground-breaking thing has APC done in edo state sef that someone with a brain would grant all their present and future candidates with a pass?
Fake patriots and their backward love for Nigeria. grin
