The US has military bases in virtually more developed and far stronger nations than Nigeria. Kicking out the US from your soil is more or less like hiding your own inferiority complex.
Wouldn't it be more rational if Nigeria and the US had a mutual defence pact just like what obtains in asia and Europe where America defends Nigeria's sovereignty with her vast array of military assets in exchange for a ground base(s) cum area of influence for the American war against terrorism in Africa .
Nigeria would even be more stronger with American F-16s, tanks and other tools sold to her very easily and at a discount obviously, than trying to go it all alone in the name of giant of Africa mumbo jumbo and still remain as weak as a paper.
That is exactly the type of agreement Nigeria should be lobbying congress for so that Nigeria can free up those huge defence funds for the much needed infrastructural projects Nigeria is in dire need of.
