A very vile and irreverent act carried out by the "Great Satan" to weaken the resolve of the Syrian people will not work! Ask Russia to declare a no fly zone just like they did in crimea if they have two heads. You go know say water don pass garri with the way the US is going to parade the Syrian skies like a peacock with no care in the world daring anybody with mind to shoot. |

But the US Has apologized for the unintentional lose of lives na, so what is the hue and cry all about? Besides, what are these Nigerians on nairaland gaining from Syria, anyway? Millions of Nigerians are in the American embassies trying to enter the country and become citizens and yet still come online to demonize the great nation. America is funding your polio vaccine programmes, free hiv drugs treatment, IDP rehabilitation, e.t.c and yet no appreciation from these ungrateful elements. What has Russia done for Nigeria aside from the obsolete ajaokuta steel plant that is more or less looking like a colossal fraud of the decade.? America has bought billions and billions of dollars worth of oil from Nigeria and provided forex for the country all through the decades, a commodity which she could have gotten from anywhere. America is not perfect, no nation on earth is. But I will pick America over any other nation any day of the week. If Russia had the economic , diplomatic and military power America has, the world would be very different and not in a good way. Can't trust putin with such power. |

ba7man: These guys have crimes in their pockets too but how many Yorubas do you see defending, issuing ultimatums, threatening the Nation and protesting in Abuja on their behalf when their cases are brought up?
As a matter of fact, you guys will defend any criminal from any tribe sef........ as long as he/she has money. Tinubu is your generally acknowledged leader. You and your people have defended him many times here and offline. I hope you don't expect me to show you threads because I will. And of recently , obasanjo has become an omo-oluabi(whatever that means), thanks to his APC connection. Atleast we don't elect drug dealers into office, neither do we brand them as ethnic leaders. Nigeria is not a sane country governed by sanity, so ofcourse any weakening of the Igbo ethnic group via a selective corruption fight by an ethnocentric president will be resisted by the people. We are not all dumb. |

Buhari has failed bt not yet a failure if he can correct his mistakes. God Bless Nigeria! The first thing to do is sack all of them. Buhari is not smart enough but with decent hands he can still reduce his tendency for a disasterous governance. Sack all of them, go into the global market and get capable hands devoid of Fulani ethnocentrism and ask for a feasible 2 year policy framework from each of the would-be ministers as part of the requirement for employment . The ones with the best policy formulation and strategy for attainment is recruited. If Nigeria was governed progressively with the best possible hands in every given sector, the Fulani in his govt would not be more than 10. |

NaijaTalkTown: The OP is correct. A closer look at the present administration also shows that Buhari is not taking the path Washingston wanted him to take. The difference between Buhari and Jonathan is that the former cared for Nigeria more than the later. Buhari is also more experienced. Yes, more Experienced in recession, ethnic religious divisions and utterly calamitous governance . By the time buhari wins in 2019 thanks to no small number of voting nitwits, he would complete his hat-trick of recession. |

zanogo: Pressured to resign? for what offence ? for complaining about a car he bought with his money.....i think resignation must have a different meaning in your dictionary. Comprehension is a problem for you, I can see. He is a government aide who was probably given a car by the FG. He did not buy anything with his money, and even if he did, as a government aide twitter is not where he is supposed to lay a complaint. So yes, in the United states or the developed Europe, a government aide found to de-market an Indigenous product publicly would be pressured by the labour unions to resign. It has happen many times. |

mapet: Wrong! A car is not expected to develop heating issues and gear issue in less than 3yrs if it had not been involved in an accident or major impact. Even manufacturers give guarantees of mileages that averages 3years use. We bought a Toyota Corrolla in 2008 and still in use today. The first time I touched the gear was 2year ago.....and guess what, for routine service. I this vehicle does inter-state on Lagos-Ibadan-Osogbo fairly regularly...... Then go to INNOSON and lay a complain. As a politician, he most likely have a direct line to INNOSON. It may even be a problem with that vehicle only and not a general thing. Thousands of people are already using INNOSON for years without major issues that we know of. Government aides in the GEJ administration used INNOSON and they didn't publicly lambast the company because they knew better. This is a white and black issue. Unfortunately bigotry will not make you see it. |

The Aburi accord was more like telling other Nigerians that they have no right over the crude oil resources in the Niger delta. Ojukwu was selfish, he wanted confederation, he wanted greater autonomy over the oil resources, which means that the Nigerian government won't have any say over the crude resources.he only wanted the oil for u easterners alone .
