OAUTemitayo:
Hatred will not kill you.
Somebody did a rational analysis but because you hate Nigeria and want her to always been in sorrow you are advising people to vote for a party that deemed it fit that Benin doesn't need any development until APC came and show them the way.
Iranu Abacha set of people.
You hate Nigeria more than anybody can ever do. You and your sycophantic bigoted hordes are bunch of pseudo-patriots who have no idea what it really means to love a country.
You voted for a dim-witted illiterate president that currently wants the backward status quo to remain, hate fiscal federalism, and is ethnocentric with reckless abandon, and you are telling me you love Nigeria?
Yeah right.

I agree. . But in the case of Edo... the Apc candidate was in the engine room of the osho government. .. In fact He was the brain box

And same Gos for the PDP candidates.. So my analogy is valid
But Osho is a not even a decent governor in any rational indices that a progressive state should be looking to repeat.
I am not saying POI is what edo states needs, he is as corrupt as they come, but campaigning with oshiomhole's govt is just laughable.

YabaLeftist:
I beg to differ. Atiku is a certified crook and hundred times more corrupt than Buhari. If given the chance to govern Nigeria, he'll empty the coffers for his personal use. He'll be worse than IBB and Abacha. He's been jumping from one party to the next to actualize his ulterior ambition. He's too desperate to rule.

See how he enriched himself stupendously after serving as a mere vice-president. He's now stinkingly rich with hundreds of companies worth billions of naira. He even built a university that is arguably the biggest private uni in Africa. And we can't forget in a hurry his involvement in the Halliburton scandal. In saner climes, this man should be rotting in jail.
He and Obasanjo should have been hanged for corruption bordering on treason and deliberate national sabotage.
Corruption is treason actually, if we look at it critically, which is why china hangs them.

Only future Billionaires know their way around women. grin
The other way round actually. Making money and women-chasing is inversely proportional atleast in the real world.
Atiku is a corrupt politician, not a genuine billionaire.

Uniben is a fedral school .. Op hope u understand what that means

I won't ask Edo people to vote for any candidate
What I will ask them to do is to evaluate critically PDP 8 years and APC 8 years.. then decide which they will want to reexperince again
Nigerian politics is not ideological, so a previously bad politician from a party does not necessarily mar other decent future politicians from the same party.
In the same vein, a good candidate from a party does not confer invincibility and competence on future candidates from the same party.
Branding politicians with the image of their predecessors may work in places like America where politics is ideological and political parties already have peculiar or distinctive mode of governance, not in Nigeria where people cross-carpet parties anyhow.
The current federal APC is made up of nearly 60% of former PDP. And oshiomhole himself is far from being a standard in governance that would merit a legacy predecessor.

A secondary school certificate holder in charge of a local govt? On what basis? Trying to mimic western civilization but in a round-about backward manner cheesy. Women in unprecedented positions of power and authority in civilized countries are sound and thoroughly qualified, not just as a mere means for sound-bites and shallow publicity.
One step forward, three steps backward. Country of nitwits. undecided

Travel › US AV8 Harrier Fighter Jet Crashes In Okinawa Japan As Pilot Ejects Safely. by CSTR2(op): 12:55pm On Sep 22, 2016
TOKYO (AP) — A U.S. Marine Corps AV-8 Harrier fighter jet crashed Thursday into the ocean off the coast of southwestern Okinawa in Japan, but the pilot ejected safely from the aircraft and was rescued.

The U.S. military in Camp Butler in Okinawa said the cause of the crash is still under investigation. The aircraft had been assigned to Okinawa, which hosts more than half of the 50,000 U.S. troops based in Japan under a bilateral security agreement.

Other details were not immediately available. The Japanese Coast Guard also confirmed the crash, which was about 153 kilometers (95 miles) east of the main Okinawan island. The coast guard initially received a request to help in the rescue, but it was withdrawn after a U.S. Air Force helicopter recovered the pilot, a coast guard official said.

People in Okinawa have complained about crashes, noise from aircraft and crime by service members for years, and some say they are unfairly burdened with housing U.S. troops.

Crashes are sensitive. In 2004, a U.S. military helicopter crashed into a university campus in Okinawa, although students were on summer vacation and the accident did not cause any civilian deaths or injuries.

Also contentious is a plan to relocate the Marine Corps Air Station Futenma to a less densely populated part of Okinawa. The relocation is part of a 1996 bilateral agreement, which also includes the transfer of about 9,000 U.S. Marines outside of Japan. The plan followed widespread outrage over the 1995 rape of a schoolgirl by three American servicemen.

Wake me up when Russia begins to produce their own softwares, computers, or have IT firms in the class of Apple, IBM, Microsoft, Hp, dell, cisco e.t.c.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Russia Is Seriously Running Out Of Cash by CSTR2:
phrenology:
CNN grin grin grin neocons at it again. This guys really does have orgasms any time Russia is mentioned.
The sanctions itself is affecting other European countries who were forced to implement the sanctions against their people's will. Take Poland for example, apple farmers in Poland are having difficulties trying to sell their produce because Russia was their number one export receptor. The polish government tried to stock all government secretariat with apples to encourage farmers but it did little to alleviate the problem. Not to mention other European countries who use to export other vegetables to Russia but are no more doing so thereby counting down on foreign exchange.
The sanctions have really made the Russians to sit up and do things like the super power they are.
They are now the world's largest producer of grains, they now manufacture all the farm machinery used in Russia (not like they didn't know how to do so before), They introduced their own card system (like MasterCard) across Russia that even MacDonald have adopted.
They also stopped the import of genetically modified seedlings (Monsanto as a case study).
Lastly, history tells us that Russians can endure enormous hardship. Coping and survival are part of Russian history and the Russian national identity. We do not need to go back to dramatic events like the Siege of Leningrad in World War II to understand that Russians can survive difficult situations. Less than two decades ago, during the 1990s, Russia suffered one of the biggest negative economic shocks ever by a country in peacetime. National and household incomes dropped by at least 40 percent. That experience shows that Russia’s households and enterprises can endure significant dislocation thanks to bottom-up, informal mechanisms of mutual help and self-survival.
There is only one superpower after the fall of the soviet union and that is AMERICA, even putin admitted to that.
A commodity based third world nation can never be called a superpower, number of nukes regardless.

We would see about that.
What ever relevance you claim to have now, we already did. I hope you know your so-called relevance is hinged on buhari.
The moment buhari leaves power either in 2019 or 2023, and a new power struggles begins, your relevance goes with him.
You and your future Yoruba candidates have no support base in the south, and have to go all the way to the core - north for buhari core fanatics as your support base.

Even the so-called redundant refineries can be upgraded if Nigeria has a purposeful and credible government.
Yes, many of the units are obsolete, but they can be upgraded and repaired where necessary .
Give it to a credible engineering firm possibly German or American, highlighting the required specifications, and you would get an almost brand new refinery that would serve Nigeria for decades and give the country enough forex to build new ones.
But then, no sense at all anywhere in Nigeria.

Even the so-called corruption fight has been a mess. Fighting corruption like a third world dictator, choosing sides and condoning blatant corruption as long as you are on the right side of the party divide, destroying the reputation of Nigeria's business environment and value among international community by a mad series of policies and utterances leading to a drastic drop in foreign investments, alarming and unprecedented cash outflows, and terrible ratings among credible investment portfolios.
What exactly is the merit of a buhari's administration with so many outstanding demerits?
Politics › Re: Buhari’s Economic Reforms Are Bold – Obama by CSTR2: 1:21pm On Sep 21, 2016
I have said before and I still believe it. There is virtually no single worst president in the world right now than buhari. From war torn middle-east to Africa and then to drug addled latin america . None
Mugabe may be at the same level of cluelessness and mental retardity, but still not worse off than buhari, I believe.
If buhari gets as much time as Mugabe, he would achieve exactly the same level of economic ruin since both of them play from the same textbook.
