sukkot:I still remember afenifere crying of marginalization under GEJ. You seem very satisfied now. . Enjoy. |
all4naija:APC/PDP politics has finished them. You would think they would be very rigorous in selection given the fact that the country needs some very uncommonly creative and highly intelligent leadership to even pull it out of the brink, let alone put it on the right path. |

You have not proven anything yet. How can you justify that monorail project? So the failures are now the fault of amaechi's enemies and other circumstances? Wonderful ![]() At 90% completed?, I seriously doubt that. You seem to be too invested in amaechi to tell us the truth. |
all4naija:Someone said Nigerians may be humanoid, but are we really humans? That statement is very deep. |
all4naija:lol. I can imagine amaechi standing before an American senate sub-committee and trying to reconcile his current portfolio and his antecedence with his projects. He would run out of the room, with the likes of sweetlemon calling them names. |
Sweetlemon:Rigorous grilling of public officials is alien to you. You think America does debates for the fun of it? The only thing in your head is haters and lovers. smh. |
Demdem:What is the true situation? Does the monorail work yet? Is the monorail not an economic waste and a policy summersault.? Enlighten us. |
Feraz:Theodore orjii is a senator. In a civilized nation like America, he would have been arrested by the FBI and jailed for corrupt practices. It is the federal that determines the direction that the states follow. If the law enforcement agencies like EFCC, ICPC,INEC controlled by the FG works, the states would get better governance. |
Demdem:you really don't know what those terms mean, you bloody sycophant. Why not enlist amaechi for the secretary of transportion position for the united states of America.? I wouldn't be surprised. |
The leadership in the SE is a byproduct of the Nigerian system. Every single inch of that country is governed by terrible leaders. |
The monorail failure of amaechi which was so intelligently raised by a few sensible Nigerians is being written off as wailings. Mad country. |
simplycarro:I have no problem with her being Yoruba. I like fashola. He is corrupt, but still has some brains cells and proven track record with respect to Nigerian standards. Atleast I believe he can kickstart Nigeria to begin her march into second-world status. That is the highest rating I have given to any Nigerian politician. |
Demdem:My friend, I don't give a whit your APC/PDP politics. They are both made up of useless politicians. Unlike you, I say things the way they are. Someone who made such a horrendous economic and transport policy being made a minister of transport is just wrong, very wrong. Am I the only one seeing the irony here? Nigerians are something else. |
mbulela:Comparing the chancellor of the exchequer to the Nigerian minister of finance both in influence and authority is just wrong. Btw,I definitely don't want her to fail. My first post was about seeing how she would perform with time before some miscreants quoted me. And yes, I would rather bank on a more solid resume. It is the most trustworthy qualification there is. The Nigerian reserves and its economics befuddles the mind. The country exports virtually only oil, and yet is maintaining a very high naira-dollar ratio, with its legislators among the highest earners in the world. Ofcourse, the reserves would take a beating. And we should not forget that the reserves rose to a record high of atleast $56b under NOI before dropping with alarming speed with the drop in oil prices. The country is structured wrongly, and there is only so much a minister of finance can do and a relative green horn like adeosun even makes the prospect grimmer. |
Demdem:My friend, shut up. The monorail is an economic waste atleast when you take the aim into consideration. And it does not even work yet. A sensible governor would have spent more time ensuring all the roads are fixed, brigdes are erected in very busy locales, and a high speed rail connecting portharcourt with other major parts of Rivers is embarked on. Rivers state is a mess and one iddiott is wasting funds on a monorail project of N50 equivalent in public transport. |
daretodiffer:Of course na. It is funny if you think someone who spent the best part of her current working years in Nigeria is anything but local, and a Nigerian asking me to take a brain scan when the country is the world's biggest open air asylum. |
Demdem:Village tout. You probably think I don't have people in rivers state. Backward fool |
simplycarro:You are a fool. Keep hallucinating about Biafra. Most of the so-called biafrans are enjoying better governance outside your country, and this one is talking nonsense. |
henryuzor:I am not running for a ministerial position. And it is sad that I am the one angling for better and more qualified ministers even when I am not directly affected. Oh well. ![]() |
daretodiffer:From a Nigerian with such backward leaders? Sorry let me laugh. |
all4naija:These guys are sycophants. They along with their abominable politicians ruined that country to the point of no return. You would do well to ignore his likes here. |
SUBWAY101:Pained? Sorry. I live in a civilized world where things work. A world where the likes of adosun with such a shallow resume is not good enough to be a financial secretary let alone a national minister of finance. I am just sad for Nigeria though. |
A multi-million dollar monorail project for a journey that costs N50. Minister of transport indeed. ![]() |
all4naija:The irony is just palpable. Very soon , you would see them blaming America and the world bank for their calamitous choices in leaders. ![]() |
simplycarro:You had to change your earlier nonsense. A ''high sounding pedigree'' is the first criteria for any technical position in the developed world. Nigera is a third world nation governed by misfits and drop-outs, so I am not surprised you would downplay it. Oduduwan or whatever you guys call it. |
simplycarro:The same world bank that buhari is currently running to for loans. Yes, blame the world bank for your poorly structured country. Black man. |
OrlandoOwoh:She fumbled at her screening to be honest. She couldn't define basic terms such as FDI properly. Though I enjoyed the fresh air she brought to the whole screening jamboree. Infact most of her critics that I know of , wrote her off based on the screening which is a little bit harsh though. |
Remii:She trained in the UK, spent most of her time working in Nigerian companies. Definitely not that impressive to me. Nigerian oil revenues and its politics are not that interesting to me. They are shrouded in a lot of geo-politics. And not to take away the fact that the oil revenues are just not sufficient as far as am concerned. The dismal national budget is enough indication of how poor Nigeria is and how insufficient the so-called oil revenues are. If someone with the managerial aptitude, pedigree and experience in age and work as NOI is still finding it difficult to balance both the geo-political and the economic side of Nigeria's economy, I shudder at what adeosun would accomplish. I expected someone much better than NOI to be honest. Someone with much better pedigree. Adeosun is not in NOI class. |
homirefacuny:Okay don't sin. |
OP. you are not very smart. What the Igbo have always wanted is merit in every strata. The domination of our politics by hausa/Fulani is not justifiable when you take their level of development into consideration. These guys were battling an ancient disease as polio just last year, and suddenly they are supposed to be Nigeria best political hands? It baffles the senses. |
Not impressed at all. Checked her portfolio and all. Too '' local'' to be reckoned with. What can I say?. We just have to wait and see. |
IlekeHD:Yorubas were nowhere listed in the same breathe with the igbos in this article. |
