You don't necessary need to be an Economist, as long as you are from the above area of specialization and you're good at what you do, then no issues as those courses can easily be intertwined.

You absolutely need to have a phD in economics to be a CBN governor.

Macroeconomics is not balance sheet or profit and loss account.

You need to understand developmental economics at the doctorate level to be effective at that level.

This is Yoruba presidency, not southern presidency.
