ysteph: You should state you're married but family non-accompanying. Please don't state you're single.
Thank you. Thanks for your response ysteph. My only concern is with the POF I heard you will have to provide POF for family even if they are not accompanying you... or is it not true? |

Please what do you advise. Should I state that I am still single during my application to cic. Or I sud indicate married but my family is not coming with me!!!! Note: I got the information that you need to provide POF for your family even if they are not coming with you.... sud i just indicate single and then invite family after I am settled in canada.. Please help to shed more light ooooo abeg.. amdman: People that adding spouse as accompanying is severely affecting their points can actually consider going alone and sponsoring their spouse subsequently. They would then have the following options
OPTION A 1. PA lands in Canada 2. Files for spouse sponsorship (no specified time restrictions) 3. Application is granted within 1yr.
OPTION B 1. PA lands in Canada 2. Files for spouse sponsorship 3. Spouse goes over to Canada on a visit visa 4. Spouse applies for extension of visit visa and open work permit pending when sponsor application is granted. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1163&top=17
The above is sweetened by the fact that for sponsoring spouse, it is not required for the sponsor to show that he is earning a robust income in Canada.
Contributions and critique of the above options required please. |

cochtrane: You don't need to. However, the idea of the letter is to reveal your financial situation including debts, loans and all. So it's not just about proving that you have the required funds. You get? If you could, you might just wanna get the letter and add it. -skilled/147#64122431]here Thanks cochtrane... I appreciate your detailed response. |

Dear e-family,
Please help a brother out....
I got a lump sum of money from some1 to be used as POF.. Now I am thinking to just fix it in t-bills and use the t-bills certificate as proof. Now my questions are: 1. If I use t-bills certificate. do I still need to get a letter from the bank?.. considering the fact that the money is invested with CBN
2. My believe is that t-bills certificate will not show if the money has been with me 6 months b4 now.... so do I still need to write LOE to explain how I got the money?
3. What other documents am I required to provide in addition to the t-bill certificate
I look forward to ur urgent response.... |

Tnks for your prompt response Algbenguze... What sort of access to funds would you propose. Algbenguze: Yes you MAY be asked to show proof of your settlement funds. You don't have to have it all on you but will need to prove that you have access to them. |

Romance › Re: How Do You Approach a Lady for a Relationship? by culdalex(m): 2:40pm On Jun 23, 2008 |
Vicjustice: Hey, why same question everywhere? Well this is my responce to one other poster: You wrote this up there with courage, so with the same courage, you can "toast" a girl. Com'on, it's easy; remember that there are many guys like you, so this means there are many more girls who are vacant with anticipation that you guys would come to them. There are many ways a relationship can kick off, many of which do not necessarily demand many grammars or step by step. But in an event of conventional "toasting" simply follow this guidelines: *Meet a girl you like in an area and condition that would be convenient for her to give you better attention *Give greetings with integrity. . . *Have a little chat about anything and see her areas of interest. . . *Be sensitive to her attitude and see if she likes your conversation *Ask her what she plans for the week, especially the weekend *Then ask her if she'd like to go outing with you, perhaps for a drink *Arrange the day and time *Close the conversation with an exchange of phone numbers. I know that some Nigerian girls could be so unnecessarily reluctant in a show of "hard to get", so this is where you simply have to apply some instinctive wisdom: remember, money, money, money is not always the best way to entice a lady. deeemm guy i love that |

gabrywyl: I don't think you have to make any effort because the guy will eventually come to you whether you want him or not. I don't know. . . So far I notice it like that. u can't be too sure because it doesnt happen like that all the time what if the girl woowoo are u saying she should now stay and hope, i mean run on faith that that the exact guy she like will come for her?? i don't think so my advice come for us, just maybe we might notice you
