winkCute-ass thanks for your advice i feel so much better and i feel you are right.I have to face him and find out the truth,he has loved me beyond my expectations and has always been good to me.I will hae to face him and know the truth for myself then i will decide.
thats the right way to go about it girl, his friends might be up to something, never trust another human being with all you got.

time will surely tell you what to believe, till then trust him and give him the benefit of the doubt, you owe him that much. How can you throw away the love he has for you with some unproven theory from a couple of obvious jealous friends.

Good luck honey cheesy it shall be well.
RomanceRe: Am In Love With Someone From A Different Tribe-i Smell Trouble. by cuteass1(f): 1:34am On Apr 06, 2007
Dearie there is a saying that "what God has joined together, let no man put asunder", how could i forget this one "when God says yes, no man (how dare anyone)say no?"

Now as human beings there are things we wish they'll be, and we want them to be like that, but change is one thing in life that is always constant wink

who said your people can't have a change of mind?? cheesy

you just have to make them see how happy he makes you,  how much you guys love each other, how compartible you are and how he is your dream guy. Isn't that what everybody wants for their family member?. They might even end up loving him more than you do (ok, maybe i exaggereted a bit but its not imposible)

If you guys are meant to be then somehow, somewhat they will support the marriage so the sooner you started telling them about him, the sooner they'll start welcoming the idea. Don't expect everybody to give you their blessings (you can't even expect that if you were getting married to someone of the same religion), but eventually as time goes on and you guys prove the strength of your marriage the rest will comply and accept the marriage

And don't get your hopes high that any of your family members will accept him right away after you've broken the news, because i'm sure they're going to need sometime to look at it from the positive side. Their meeting him might even be the the solution, because atimes you need someone's presence to be blown off your feet
if he charms them, i'm sure they'll give you all their blessings cheesy

cicumstances and situations are capable of making people change their opinions and your case can be one of those situations. You just have to give them the chance to prove that fact wink

busygirl:
I don't think it has anything to do with religion------it has more to do with culture. From the cultural aspect, it's believed by most people that guys on braids, locks, ear-rings are irresponsible and unserious. That's why in serious business organisations like banks, schools etc You dare not even go for a job interview in braids,ear-rings etc because of your appearance. Even if you came out with a first class. And definately, most parents wouldn't approve their daughters marring guys with such.
dearie i'll sue you ooh grin why do keep reading my mind, i think i have to buy a padlock and start locking it wink cheesy

well said though cool

I`m really confused , ?I really don`t know how i`m gona find out and i even suspected hat his friend`s could be lying but what if they are not?Seems like i`ve put my life in a mess i`m still in shock and i`m scared.
Dear until you have a reason to doubt someone, stick with them. Now for all we care he could be doing what he's being accused of on the other hand he might not.

If he still treats you like a man is supposed to treat his lady, respects you, cares for you, has shown you he loves you, and you've not moticed any change in his behaviour nor has he given you any reasons to doubt him then i suggest you give deaf ears.

If you start to imagine this, why would one's close friend be bad-mouthing his own person if doesn't stand to gain anything?? huh

how would we( you or i) feel if ourspouses took decisions and acted on them just based on what people told them?? bad, right?? cry

then i think you owe him as much as to give him a benefit of the doubt, you might even watch him closely when he gets back, but until he has been proven guilty, give deaf ears to gossips wink

They ruin relationships sad

Complete bullshit!!! Leave him to marry the love of his life and you go and look for your own husband.

If he wanted to marry you, he would have left the other lady long before Jesus was crucified.

Ummm. . .stop thinking of how to ruin some people's beautiful life. It's evil! How long have you known him that he doesn't know how you feel about him and will instantly cancel his wedding because of u? Like duhhhhhhhhhh!!!

Abeg, tell me something real and not this nursery ryhmes.
i agree with you too

just wish the girl will tell us the whole story angry

what makes her think he'll marry her if she told him?

why he would leave the girl he's planning to marry for her??

the honest truth like ikamefa said, is that something incredibly fishy is going on here angry angry cos each time i read the story, i get a whole different meaning to it.

@ poster please fill in the missing gaps.

could it be his people were telling you this so you'll leave their brother alone?? undecided

my dear if you find out that he truly is a "whatever you called it" then run ooh, a criminal can never be trusted.
you shouldn't settle for anything less than the best, and believe me dearie a criminal is definitely not on the list wink

you have to look out for yourself girl but make sure you're not being decieved either wink

ikamefa:
why do i smell cat piss in here?

you love him ,you have not told him about it, but you know if you tell him he will stop his wedding for you just like that?  undecided

yet you don't want to ruin nobody abi?

sortin dey smell here!

tell us the full story jor! There is more to this!
EXACTLY  DEAR!! wink

what do you now expect us to tell you, tell him about your feelings for him and stop the wedding??
or you expect us to tell you not tell him ??

my dear i guess you already know that whichever way you choose to go about it, someone will definitely end up hurt. Whos's it going to be??
you just have to choose that which you'll be more comfortable with the consequences/outcome wink

now the impression you're making seems to be that the guy also is in love with you but is marrying this one out of . . what do i call it, pity?? last resort??

well if that is the case then i do think you owe the lady a right of knowing what she's putting herself into as a fellow woman sad what good will it do her anyway if she's married to a guy that is lusting over another lady cry cry

BTW why did you on the other hand have to wait so long before your big confession??what stopped you from letting the cat out of the bag all this while and save all parties so much pain, dissappointment and grief.

No matter what, if you guys are in love with each other then there's no guarantee that the feelings will varnish after the wedding, so where does that leave the other lady?, please let the woman go find her man before its too late sad sad instead of giving her such high hopes, anything done before the wedding is not too late wink

poor lady! my heart really goes out to her ooh cry cry cry but one second ooh what makes you think this lady is not his choice of an ideal wife??

FamilyRe: Why Are Extra-marital Affairs Common Among Married Men? by cuteass1(f): 6:37pm On Apr 05, 2007
My dear, i wonder that many atimes too ooh, but i don't think we should say every, because even though the good ones are very rare, they sure should be given some credit

so lets say some, i guess they're cut up in the "don't want to be eating the same soup every day" good-for-nothing theory, the selfish part of it is the fact that they wouldn't want their wives to taste some other "types of mango" lol.

i sometimes wonder what it is with men and things on skirt, because immediately one comes passing by, all their self-control and self-respect flys right out the window *sighs* guess its true what they say that God gave each man a brain abd a p^nis, but not the ability to use both at the same time

its sad, but there's actually very little that can be done, one solution that helps many is being more sexually creative and productive because a p^ssy will always be a p^ssy, but the variety is sure something wink. and some say they loose their wives after child-birth because she gets so wrapped up in the baby(ies) that she looses her woman touch, That should nit be the case, always try tolook your best for your man. Nothing more alluring than a wife who looks sexy. To some points, its not all the men's fault ooh. Some women need to buckle up.

Some keep claiming "tired" hence denying their men sex, that can also drive the man to the street. Thats where family patnership steps in because if both help each other then i don't think the wife woild have cause to be so exhausted sad

Hope to the stars that you'll get someone who appreciates you enough to want you and you alone and thinks you're woman enough to satisfy him in every way that matters.

Some of these men love their wives its just their "thingy" that won't respect itself lol
I remeber a woman that was advicing a friend whose husband was cheating, and she was like -"how many men doesn't, my dear wipe your tears, its not whether he's cheating that matters but at the end of the day whether he's taking good care of you. If yes, then you have no problem"

I hope to God ¨that it won't be my potion in Jesus name, amen cheesy
