They do say "Plane crashed" due to an engine failure. Now using boeing 777 which has 2 engines to attached to the wings as an example, when plane is in motion, does the two engines work at the same time OR one will be in standby mode while one is working?

Secondly, IF two engines are working at the same time, does it make any sense saying plane crashed when two engines are working or are they saying the two engines stopped working at the same time?

Lastly, If it is only one engine working while one is in standby mode, if they notice an sign of engine failure, how many seconds will it take the second engine to start working when there is a fault detected on the first engine while in air.

I see some planes' wings that at the end of the wings, they are bended vertically upward, does it really matter or it is just a form of "packaging"

1. Aviation fuel, like all fuels is flammable (it's combusted in an engine ).

2. private jets are not usually more expensive than commercial, although t all depends on the manufacturer.

3. The wing tips are bent upward so as to reduce the drag caused by vortices/ vortexes. The pressure difference between the upper and lower side of a plane's wing causes a vortex, bending the wing tips cancels out this effect.

4. i doubt if there are bulletproof planes but i wish there were.

5. i don't know much about engine failures cos i've not experienced it , i think that's for boeing777pilot to answer but i do know that a plane can conveniently fly one just one engine. If one engine fails, i think its as easy as shutting down the engine.
