Thanks for your comment bro, you just made my day... However, a tree does not make a forest, that is why team work is needes to actualize such a goal like this. You sounded quite objective and we can always work together...

Cheers

Right, I would love to but finding the time to do this is tough cos work and Lagos traffic tends to take all the time these days. Anyways I’m always available for advice and constructive criticism.

eRACER V1 – ELECTRIC RACING CAR: A PROTOTYPE OF THE FUTURE MODES OF TRANSPORT

OBJECTIVES: Blazing a trail for a technology shift in the conventional transportation systems in an attempt to mitigate the recent climate change (extremely hot weather) in Nigeria, the type that may have resulted from the possible effects of global warming, due to the recurring emissions of CO2 from various fossil fuel internal combustion engines. Hence, a necessity to invent an eco-friendly modes of transportation - such as the different models of electric vehicles.

THE PROBLEMS AT HAND: Apart from other forms of environmental pollution and breathing-related health issues being caused by the by-products emissions of petrol/diesel-driven engines, several research hypotheses also confirm that CO2 also affects the level of atmospheric precipitations, thereby forming acidic rain. This can affect the full-flowering of various agricultural practices and other aquatic lives (overpopulated regions and highly industrialized areas are mostly affected in this regard, due to massive CO2 emissions from power plants, Fossil fuel I.C.E. vehicles and other power Generators).

ACTUALIZING THE 13TH GOAL OF THE UNITED NATIONS’ 17 SDGs: While analyzing the actualization of the previous MDGs – Millennium Development Goals, several reports depict that Sub-Sahara African Countries and South-Asian Countries are the under-achievers among other Nations. However, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals are here again – strategized by the United Nations, in an attempt to make the world a better place to live in – today and in the subsequent decades. “Climate Action” is the 13th Goal of the 17 SDGs of the United Nations. In an attempt to combat global warming, some nations are already making actionable moves, whereas, most African Nations are redundant by not considering the futuristic consequences of their actions and inactions of different climate exploits. This is another wakeup call for all!

SO FAR, SO GOOD: In an attempt to actualize the global climate goal by collectively infinitesimalizing the effects of global warming, several countries/cities around the world are currently experimenting and implementing policies/methods on how to actualize a clean air by banning the sales and importations of fossil fuel-driven vehicles within the next few years/decades - in an attempt to achieve the 13th SDGs of the United Nations. Pragmatically, as reported by the Reuters: “In Norway, 52% of new car sales were electric in 2017” while the country is already making moves to ban the sales of petrol/diesel-driven I.C.E. cars in the next 6 years (2025). “By 2030, Israel will be banning the importation of I.C.E. vehicles – while only electric cars and the hybrid ones driven by natural gas will be allowed”. GZ also reported that: “Rome (Italy) will be banning diesel vehicles from the city centre by 2024, while Athens, Paris, Madrid, Mexico City will be banning the use of all diesel vehicles by 2025, Brussels (Belgian Capital) by 2030”. “In France, there shall be no sales of petrol/diesel vehicles by 2030”. Alongside, some States in the US, Germany, India, Taiwan, China, United Kingdom, Netherlands and Ireland are already developing a long-term plan to actualize a clean air by phasing out the conventional fossil fuel I.C.E. vehicles.

WAKING UP THE SLEEPING GIANTS: To aggravate the situation of the recurring global warming, culturally, African Nations have been the dumping ground for Tokunbo/used-cars which are more susceptible to CO2 emissions, while the inveterate use of petrol/diesel powered generators also contributed to other wailing environmental pollutions. It is very wrong for a country to import/use a diesel powered locomotive train in this cyber age  - considering its severe environmental pollution challenges. Most African countries that are majorly influenced by the global warming effects are not strategizing long-term plans on how to actualize zero-emission transportation systems within the next few decades. If I may ask! Are we going to become slaves to civilization once again? For how long shall we continue to import more than we export? In an attempt to strike a trade balance in the global market, African Nations (most especially Nigeria) must have more exportations than the incessant importations. That is the true meaning of gaining independence!

RECOMMENDATIONS: At this point, there should be bills and motions in the Nigerian National Assembly, structured towards experimenting and implementing some environmental laws in Nigeria - with the target to actualize a clean air in the next few years/decades. The only ACTION PLAN to accomplish this goal is to engage some dedicated Nigerian Scientists, Engineers, Technologists and other Foreign Research and Development Consultants on the global-moving-waves of technology shift in transportation systems - inventing an eco-friendly transport mode, such as electric vehicles and other hybrid cars that are driven by natural gas. The point remains the same, paradoxically; “In this side of the world, those who have ideas are not in power, while those in power have no ideas”. However, the right time to change the narratives is NOW!

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE ELECTRIC VEHICLES: The developmental index of a Country can also be measured by her level of Research and Development of various scientific, technological and engineering inventions. Practically, when it comes to the schematics of electric vehicles, either the ones driven with AC motors or DC motors, there are still a lot of milestones to be reached in terms of service performance. For instance, the regenerative braking systems being deployed to auto-recharge EV batteries through its forward momentum can be upgraded, so that an electric vehicle can always recharge itself more efficiently. Also, for the case of electric cars driven with DC motors, a sturdy magnet that can produce more RPM/Torque for faster EV engines can be invented in this side of the world. These are the areas and many other ones that can be exploited in this course.

INTRODUCING THE eRACER - V1: The Electric Racing Car (eRACER V1) was modeled with an AutoCAD Application (2010 Version) in an attempt to invent a new genre of racing sport with faster EVs, while other replica models can be used as the conventional zero-emission trains, vehicles, sky-birds, trams and others - in order foster an appropriate climate action in Nigeria and other parts of the world, while also contributing to the actualization of the 13th goal of the 17 SDGs. The optimum target is to engage in R&grin to invent a faster/turbo-like EV engines which can simultaneously recharge its battery as we pedal to the metal, alongside supplementing the existing battery-recharge system (regenerative braking) derived from the forward momentum of the motor.

CONCLUSION: As I have always canvassed for in my previous writings and during prior public interviews, it is high time for the Nigerian Government to partner with other private players in order to establish a National ICT Industrial Park in the 6 Geo-Political Zones of Nigeria. The action plan is to engage in the research and development of certain timely products (hybrid cars that use natural gas and other types of electric mode of transports, alternative source of cheaper/readily available/affordable energy for the generation of electricity) while the end goal is to blaze a trail for an industrialized/export-led economy among other dividends such as generating employment opportunities, actualizing a human-friendly nation, combating global warming and improved standard of living.
Most of all, no matter the amount of deposits of fossil fuels in Nigeria, research already confirms that such precious mineral resources will finish one day. If I may ask! What shall we fall back to - as a viable means of transportation? In the next few decades, how shall we sustain as a Nation in terms of a supplemented source of power generation? In reference to one of my epic quotes: “if you fail to prepare something for the time, whenever the time comes, it will prepare anything for you”.

Thanks.

Fantastic write up and even more fantastic idea. Thanks for daring to be brave.

I will just like to add that you improve on the aerodynamics of your car, seems you didn't consider that. Taper/ narrow the nose of your car and drop the windshield below the height of the spoilers to reduce drag. Redesign your spoilers and reduce the ride height of the vehicle to reduce rollover risk.

Great work again, seek mentor ship and try to improve especially in the mathematics of modeling

Celebrities / Re: Relative Uses Dead Body Of 'kay Low' To Curse SARS. Davido, Banky W React by cutelover19(m): 11:02pm On Apr 01, 2019
tactius:
What I am going to say is not popular....but let's be honest

All of us are cursing the Police. That means that should the Police be 'destroyed' as a result of our curses...who then would take on the criminals for us?

A lot of crime gets stopped by the Police, AND SARS is one of the police agencies that fight crime.

Many of us are rightly angry with the SARS for killing the young man...but we should remember that the young man was part of a group that was interfering with Police work.

Remember Kabiru Sokoto. Kabiru Sokoto...who was Boko's bomb maker, was freed because 'youth' interfered with the Police in the discharge of their duties...because the youth thought he was innocent.

The guy the Police came to arrest....was thought to be innocent..and many young people promptly rushed in to save him. SARS opesn fire..and an innocent youg man gets killed.

Our Police needs reform. But reform is not going to come by cursing and abusing the problem. Many of us don't appreciate our policemen and women.

And it is the same thing in many fields too. Many people in Nigeria curse doctors for doing their job , NEPA officials for disconnecting people who don't pay their bills, FRSC for enforcing traffic laws, and so on.

Yet, many of us won't pay the taxes and the bills needed to make things better. We all think that money gotten from 2.2 MILLION barrels of oil per day at $60 per barrel is enough...when it isn't and we know it.

So, why not appreciate your Policeman? Why hide criminals from the Police? Why interfere when the POlice come and arrest crooks in your neighborhood?

Anyway, Nigerians need to change.

Shut your stinking trap. Use the grey matter between those ears of yours.

Keep appreciating them till they kill one of yours. Anu mpama

SarkinYarki:
It's clear this accident was caused by the auto trimming software MCAS , we have seen auto trimming softwares work aerodynamically unstable military planes like the B2 and F117 who wouldn't be able to even fly without such softwares working overtime to create input aerodynamics and stabilization but bringing such software into commercial aircraft to augment poor aerodynamics should be discouraged , commercial aircraft must depend on traditional aerodynamics as it's foundation and only use trimming software as minimally as possible ..The 737 max problem started from the moment the Boeing design team decided to ignore traditional aerodynamics in a bid to force in the CFM Leap turbofan engine into their aircraft to beat time and protect it's market from the encroaching Airbus A330 Neo the CFM engines were larger than what the low fuselage of the 737 could handle so the opted to move the engine further out the wings to create suitable clearance from the ground , this change will greatly change the aerodynamics of the 737 causing it to tend to pitch up during a flight which if unchecked could lead to a stall , so BOEing introduces MCAS which they have used on various military flying wing prototypes to come in and automatically pitch the planes nose down any time it's notices on over pitch upwards , the problem is that MCAS must work in tandem with a couple of sensors most important which is the Angle of Attack swivel sensor and if these sensors sends any faulty info to MCAS the software is also bound to overreact like what we saw on both crashes where the softwares thought the plane was going into a stall and attempts to recover the plane by pitching down and increasing engine power ( pilots would understand this ) but the problem here is that the plane was not stalling like the software thought but only climbing during the take off phase .

Way out for Boeing now .

I am a die hard fan of the 737 family and I consider it the safest commercial plane ever made and the most successful but in the wake of the recen crashes of the the Max series this what I think Boeing can do .

1 .shop for a smaller engine with the same performance spec as the CFM 1B leap.
OR
2.Re design the 737 so it can accommodate the CFM Leap engine .
OR

3 . Make MCAS to be redundant during the take off and landing phase of every flight and only active at cruise altitude .

Very fantastic points raised. I really fault the FAA because this happened under their noses. Airplane manufacturers will always try to manipulate designs and features to fit with the demands of airlines which might not be realistic. The FAA should be the equalizer to ensure that innovations are matched by safety and greedy manufacturers do not produce flawed aircraft in the bit to outsell competitors.

olahero:
Tsav Reveals Real Reason Behind Herdsmen Killings

Alhaji Abubakar Tsav, a former Lagos State Commissioner of Police, has revealed the cause of the current insecurity in the country under the guise of herdsmen killings.

He said President Muhammadu Buhari’s fight against corruption provoked some politicians who sponsored the killer-herdsmen in a bid to mar his re-election in 2019.

Tsav told the New Telegraph: “We have a lot of people, who are involved in corruption in this country; people who have stolen too much from the country’s treasury.

“And since Buhari came in; the stealing has stopped and people who are not benefitting from the corrupt system are now afraid and they are fighting Buhari’s government through the killings by herdsmen. That is why they don’t want him to re-contest.
“People who have been living on corruption have now found out that they can no longer live on corruption again because Buhari himself is not corrupt. He is a straightforward and honest person. So, that is why they want to remove him by all means, so that we can go back to square one. They have no conscience.

“Even all over the world, other world leaders are commending Buhari for being an honest man and trying to check corruption. Within the short time he has been in power, he has discovered that a lot of money was stolen from our treasury. World leaders are happy with him, but in this country, they want him to be removed, so that they can to continue to loot the treasury. They don’t love this country; they want corruption to come back, otherwise why are they saying the man should not re-contest.

“A lot of people have being involved in corruption, but since Buhari came in, there has not been room for people to carry out corrupt activities. So, they want Buhari to go, so that they will continue their corrupt acts.”

On what should be done to stem the tide of insecurity in the country ahead of the 2019 elections, he said: “If the security agencies take the right steps right now, the elections will be very peaceful. The most important thing is to try and disarm this people. We should also address the issue of corruption because what has brought all these problems to us is corruption.”

In the last few weeks, some eminent Nigerians like former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Military President, General Ibrahim Babangida, have asked President Buhari not run in 2019.

So reinstating Maina is not corruption?
Underage voters in Kano Lga elections is not corruption?
Aiding rampaging fulani pillagers is not corruption?
Lying to electorates and denying electoral promises and campaign is not corruption?
Buratai houses in Dubai is not corruption?
Overseas medical tourism when you barred others from same is not corruption?

Please shut your hypocritical trap you call a mouth and use the organ between your ears. If corruption will feed Nigerians, put clothes on our back, reduce cost of living and protect us from killer herdsmen, please BRING BACK OUR CORRUPTION.
