I took pictures with my RN5 rear camera (first time I did that after 1 month of getting the phone) and I was totally thrilled. The rear camera is great, the portrait mode is just wonderful. I took the same pictures with my friend's infinix note 5 and the infinix looked like crap. My friend has literally dumped her 2 weeks old infinix and turned my RN5 to her 'default' camera phone. Lol

men I did my android debut with tecno and has been using tecno since then until i found this xiaomi thread, though i have been hearing the testimonies of people on facebook about sweetness of xiaomi phones, ever since i bought redmi note 5 from macbeyland my smart phone life has not been the same. The smooth running of the phone, camera is top notch, i know what people are looking for again in gcam, do they want to turn a smartphone into a camera device

Funny enough most peole don't use it or face issues like front cam dnt work e.t.c

Na one cheap fake samsung earpiece o.. I bought from the road side vendors as my main one got taken by someone. I doubt if it will last long sha.

Ok now ! For those hating on my humble sef simply coz I called Xiaomi mid-range brand . Let's put this our sentiments aside, would you call it Premium ? Ogini, kilode ? Talk true for just once in your life time Biko. I am on this page simply coz I wanna change my device as I usually does yearly, but when I kept reading Gcam up and down , shey na crime to ask why ? I am a tech specialist, but I strictly frown against tweaking device, imo: that's the only way I get to know a device is cool , yes indulge me to use the word Premium! My current device is still in Mint state , with this customer bruhaha and Gcam and bla bla I dey read . I had to conclude that I am holding on for now.

Lol... Just go ahead with your choice. Judging by your standards it seems you are new to mobile development. Just visit s9+ development page on xda and see people doing these tweakings, flashing roms and gcam and all.

From ur assertions the only device that can satisfy you is iPhone coz even guyz are still flashing and modding the Galaxy Note 9.

Techies are insatiable. I used to be one when i was using a Samsung galaxy phone. But getting the RN6 pro i discovered that..
1. I can hardly spot much difference in display. This is sharp enough for me.

2. I don't need viper4android for good music coz the default equalizer is over good.

3. I don't need modding for fastness coz this device is damn fast.

4. I dont need mod for cam coz d camera is simply crazy.. Even night shots..

5. I don't need mod for changing U.I coz theming on MIUI is madly flawless and its just too fluid.

6. Battery Life is great and phone doesn't get hot even on heavy usage.

I use a modded iOS 12 theme not coz i want to feel like lol.. Even Iphone 6s feels like shit near this mobile. I use it coz of its simplicity same way i use cheetah keyboard instead of Gboard...

For the first time i am using a phone and i am almost 100% satisfied with stock things. Honestly, considering price, functionality and battery life, Xiaomi over Samsung and Iphones.. Save for galaxy note 9, atleast that one has 4kmah ba3.

The one wey weak me na tech advisor. Even almighty gsm arena most times gives inaccurate information on devices.

My reason for not getting the brand yet , coz what's the need when I can't confidently rely on the follow come camera app. Lenovo, Huawei and the likes are using their camera without the headache of having to root their device to use Gcam . Common Tecno sef are cool with their cam .
I'm sorry but truth is , all these post about rn this and that looks like a brainwash and hype then.

Lol if you no go, you nor know... Just try and keep the RN 5 pro and infinix Note 5 side by side u go get the gist.

The gcam greatly enhances photos beyond stock camera limits, that been said, if u you are tech savvy u want to flash everything even what you barely need.

The Note 6 pro camera is amazing, i don't see any need for gcam, but if you can install it, it always produces better images.

Xiaomi is a great device coming from samsung i have no regrets. I can't use a tecno or infinix.. The poor display is the first turn off.

upload your battery usage information including your SOT. Be rest assured Note 6 pro drains a tadbit faster than Note 5 pro..

No argue pixel 3 camera abeg. Its on a class of its own. Especially the night shot.

The battery performance here improved for me.
The experience is smooth... It is an improvement over 9.

I bought data too from Nigeriabam yesterday and he delivered without issues. The guy is nice and he has even given me customers as per data reselling. Dude is reliable. Patronize him.

Yet to fully test the camera. I only took one shot last night using front cam portrait mode and it was excellent as usual..
As for the battery can't say yet. I will observe and drop comments later.

I tell you. Its totally chinless. But some of these Chinese Oems have done that too. Huawei, Xiaomi the Mi mix 3, and a host of others I have seen on YouTube. I think even Oppo too.

Rocking MIUI 10 via manual update. The phone updater almost finished me.

I only used the device for about 48hrs before updating to miui 10, so I can't give a reliable analysis on the 9.
However, if truly mobile signal affects battery performance as some of the guys stated on previous pages, then I'd say there's definitely been an improvement in that regard 'cos my signal is still fluctuating.

Everything else seems pretty the same to me.

Really? Well I know some mobiles perform better but for this large screen it is pretty decent I think. Still got 40% to last me thru d night.

So about the 2nd space, here is wat I found out.

Let's say you set your thumb print as the security on 2nd space and index finger on 1st space, unlocking your phone with the thumb takes you directly to 2nd space and vice versa irrespective of where u are. Its fluid and flawless.

Should be useful for people that needs a bit of privacy. Cool right?
