Its not all true. Numbers 1,2,4,5,7,15,17,18,19,20 and others, etc, are not true for me. |
^Big kiss for you. Glad to see someone who doesn't think the U.S. should be alpha and omega. @2sleek2nv, do you know anything at all about the 'weapons of mass destruction' the U.S. invaded Iraq to find? What makes you think they are completely innocent in all their wars against these countries? |
Why would a man who is fanatical enough to die for a Islam, turn around and plead not guilty, lie, just because of 20 years? |
@eyonigga, So if Nigeria aint suppossed to be on the list and every body knows it, why can't Nigeria be taken off the list without first ordering them around? And Farouk did not seal that fate for Nigeria. If anything, Britain where he was groomed to be a terrorist and America that seems to have been waiting to put Nigeria on the list, whether justly or unjustly, sealed it. And for pete's sake, what makes you think that the claim that U.S. is watching the activities going on in Nigeria and have discovered that Nigeria is fast becoming a safe haven for terrorists is true? Because they said so? |
The way a lot of the christians on this thread blindly agree with what the U.S. is demanding about closing Islamic schools without even reading between the lines or using their heads to reason that they are being ordered like slaves, shows the amount of 'tolerance' and 'love' these christians have for the muslims they always claim to be violent and intolerant. Whether you are muslim or christian, please think. Was Umar trained to be a terrorist in Nigeria? Why has Britain, where he was trained, and where a number of other terrorist get training, not been placed on their farcical terror list? The only reason anyone would agree to this, is if there is already hatred for the Islamic religion seated in their hearts. This seems like an orchestrated plan by the U.S. to suppress the muslims in the most populous nation in Africa. Nigeria SHOULD NOT, NIGERIA HAS NO REASON to be on that list in the first place. They have no right to unjustly place us in the list and then give us demands to get our names off the list. WTH? |
Abeg enough of all these yeye talk about 'Omotola and Genevieve, who is prettier?'. Why this obsession over them? The threads that have been started about it are enough. |
It also shows how ready our law makers and leaders are to put their needs before the needs of Nigerians. |
At the end of the day it should be the quality of the school that matters and not the uniform.Yes. But given how tribalistic Nigerians are, the uniform would most likely be what matters, rather than the quality of the school. |
Please, please davidylan, don't blame the problems of Nigeria on the Nothern politicians. Nigerians, who let them, year after year, pillage and loot and misuse/abuse power, also have a gigantuan share of the blame. How can a people just sit and do nothing but complain and then expect their problems to grow legs and walk away? Right now, the 'president' of Nigeria is nowhere to be found and they still do little else apart from pay lip service to the issue. Nigerians should stop constantly moaning about the way things are in the country and get off their backsides to effect change instead of blaming the leaders for everything. @OP, It seems you have been watching too much of those American movies. Please turn your TV off and return back to reality. |
I forgot to add, lol, that schools in other parts of Nigeria would see this as a competition and change their uniforms to whatever native attire is worn by the tribe in that part of the country. And after that, parents would decide to only send their children to schools where the native attire of their tribe is worn and that would inevitably lead to the dismal failure of this attempt at upholding Nigerian cultures. |
I don't think this is such a good idea. Apart from the disadvantages aloy named about the heat and how quickly worn out it would turn out to be, there is also the tribalistic nature of Nigerians to consider. Adire is regarded largely as a 'yoruba' material, not really a general Nigerian wear, and so some people (likely to be non-yorubas)would oppose this move by arguing that the school is trying to impose their yoruba cultures on the children. Those people might even go as far as refusing to enroll their children in those schools just because of the Adire uniform. I am happy though, that Nigerians have started to think of upholding and preserving their cultures and not just blindly following the traditions of their colonial masters, but untill we learn to accept each other regardless of tribe or state of origin, a move like this would not be successful. |
Lol. But people who 'do' at that age sometimes die on top. What with weak heart and weak everything. @topic, what a useless old man. As him old reach, e still dey find how to despoil small girl. |

What were the damaging messages about? |
@Theblessed, you sound pissed off. . .don't take their rubbish too serious. A lot of men are just lazy. You try sef with that your laundry basket suggestion. In my opinion, he should participate in the washing as well, not just put the clothes in the basket. I don't mean he has to wash with me at the same time though. I mean he should help with the washing; take over the work entirely, once in a while. @Topic, this dehumanization of women has to stop. It has dragged on for so long. It hurts me to see men arguing that there is no reason whatsoever for them to assist their wives at home. |
A number of the males on this thread seem to be forgetting that women now do white coller jobs just like them. They expect the women to still be 100% in charge of the domestic duties. Common people, that would be WAY,WAY unfair and unjust. Also take into consideration the fact that males are physically stronger than females. Since this is the case, why should the female, the weaker sex, be expected to have 3x more responsibility (work front, domestic front, children front) than the males? In my opinion, the only reason husbands refuse to participate in household chores is either Laziness, pride or wickedness. Anyway I don't really blame them. People have a tendency to be abusive with power when they end up with it. |
People are failing to read the the initial post before replying. It said that the woman BARBED HER HAIR against his wish. Barb. Not fix a ridiculous hair style. |
pastor dey charge for prayer orisirisino be small thing o. ![]() |
Unfortunately, people are more predisposed to believing the lies told by the U.S. than using their third eye so I doubt that this side of the story would be taken seriously. |
This is rubbish. Umar Farouq was radicalised in the U.K. was he not? Why have attacks not being launched over there? |
Interesting. So our 2010 budget has been signed already. And not by the president but by some unknown people. |
I hope the voice is not an answering machineLOL. Caller:Hello? Hello? Is this the office of the senate president? Answering machine: o bu onye Caller: . . . . . . I dont see any difference between when he's around and nowSad but true. |

Wow ayinba. That is wonderful. Just wonderful. It is a right stepin the right direction. I cant wait to see that reply. Bluetooth, you have a good point there. But we cannot sit back and remain without a president now. And the way things are presently, it seems that we are going to continue without a head for sometime still, because Jonathan who should have taken over is not from the North. And I guess you know what that means. |
