Jesusloveyou: so tell us, is it d appointment of two kitchen cabinet members , that u are expecting a reflection of six geopolitical zones? I'm trying to debunk the malicious notion the OP is trying to portray here that the list marginalized the north hence, we lack the moral impetus to criticize Buhari for favoring the north.. |

If you run away from this thread, then I know that you are a hopeless ediot Obiagelli: It has been said over and over again that the north has a grip on the top offices in Nigeria, in support of sweetlemon's thread yesterday, below is the list of permanent secretaries in nigeria,

From my count, there are less than 15 northerners in that list of 43 yet over the years we never heard any noise from the north about marginalisation.
Now I believe the south, expecially few, wants to dominate the north at all cost.

masseratti: lol,is a prime minister a ruler of a country the answer is no but he is in most cases the head of government, the ruler of Britain is the Queen the head of government is the prime minister, i used all this because you choose to define the word "ruler" as against the word "president ".a ruler can be a king,a prime minister,a chancellor, president, pope sheik, imam etc,The main difference between a king and a President is the people they rule over, one rule over his/subjects,the other rule over "fellow " citizens. so the subject is not a fellow citizen of the ruler? |

masseratti: Oga leave logic and pick up your dictionary of use your friend Google. CyberWolf: See them claiming ITK as usual..With lay man's understanding using Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary as a point of reference, A ruler is someone that rules or governs, eg., someone governing a country. While while a leader is someone that leads, eg. a country, an organization, etc..Is Buhari ruling the country? Yes, Is he the leader of Nigeria? Yes, is he governing the country? Yes..
Logically, a King is called a ruler, and he calls those he is ruling his subjects.
If Buhari is ruling the country, that means he is a ruler which implies that he is a "King" hence, we are his "subjects" Is he the leader of Nigeria? Yes, hence we are his followers... So what are we talking about? A leader and Ruler might mean different things based on one's perspective, but logically, they are the same. |

masseratti: Oga if you don't know there is a big difference in a King with all sovereignty and a President, infact there is a difference in a ceremonial king or ceremonial president, we are not PMB subjects, a President preside over the management and affairs of the Government he does not own your life,An absolute King owns your life if you are his subject.he can do and undo. Apply simple logic in this your reasoning, then you will know better. |

okpukpu: The logical difference is.... a king is a ruler why a president is a leader. You know the difference now abi? QueenEdna: ) But shes quite right. d right word would be 'Electorates' the use of proper terminology should suffice here. We are not subjects but Electorates in a democratic dispensation. Its quite different. 'Subjects' would apply in a monarchical/totalitarian Admin where power is absolute. knostbrown01: Sharap wolf, you knw notin and have notin .... Politics › Re: Is The North Just One Geopolitical Zone Now? by CyberWolf: 6:54am On Aug 28, 2015 |
ajoskele: The last time I checked, Nigeria is divided into six distinct geopolitical zones. The North is made up of three zones while the south has same numbers. Why all these "hues and cries" about the President appointing only "Northerners" and no one from the "South East, South South and South West"? Why is the North one and the South in threes to a typical Nigerian? How is South West different from South East and NorthWest not different from NorthEast? Why is SouthSouth different from SouthEast but NorthCentral is the same as NorthEast? NNPC GMD was even rejected by his Igbo brothers calling him Delta-Ibo. Why do we think only Hausas and Fulanis dominate the north? A friend told me Adamawa State has just around 4% Fulanis and could boast of over 60% Christians. President Muhammadu Buhari has made appointments across the whole of the six zones of North and South and will continue to in the upcoming appointments. So "Fear North"!! have you heard of ACF before? |

NOTHING...endless Looting was still d order of the day..From maiduguri to Delta to Lagos...one thing unites our leaders and that is selfish interest riddled with corruption.......best thing is go leave Nigeria and get another citzenship elsewhere, the people u think care about u,don't care..they care only for their pockets.. During GEJ regime, Southern Nigeria experienced it's highest number of employment in our MDAs in the history of Nigeria..Anyway I don't expect you to understand what that means because you reason with your anvs |

Tylerdan: Nigerian's are so pathetic. Your president makes an appointment and all they do is talk about origin, tribe and ethnicity. Whatever happened to how the appointees will affect the economy and security of the country. Why they were appointed and what the mandate from the president is to them. Have you ever applied for a job in any MDAs? |
Politics › Re: Buhari Appoints Secretary To The Federal Government, Chief Of Staff, Others by CyberWolf: 7:27pm On Aug 27, 2015 |
ILIDEFI: That's why I get very infuriated when people make those crazy statements that it doesn't matter even if Buhari appoints only his kinsmen. It's very annoying.
Imagine that Northern enrolment into tertiary institutions isn't even up to ⅓ of enrolment of southerners, yet they get the very juicy positions in government and the entire civil service.
How many times has a northerner made an academic breakthrough in the international scene? How many of them have come tops of their classes in any university whether in Nigeria or outside? How many of them have made news for an intellectual breakthrough or achievement? Yet they will be appointed heads over those who are way better than them, yet people come and tell me that it doesn't matter. I spit on such people.
How can we live in our country, after over 50 years of gaining our independence, yet still being colonised? How can? its really appalling reading some ediotic comments here honestly..I've said it here before, with what is happening, any southern graduate seeking for any federal job should stop wasting his or her time because it's meant for northerners... The same north that wrecked this country right military regimes |

ILIDEFI: Shut up! What do you know? Most of the MDAs here in Abuja have over 70% of their staff as northerners because of situations like this. When the directors and d heads of the MDAs are mostly northerners, and getting a job these days is often by link and connection, how do you expect other Nigerians to stand a chance in these MDAs?
Southerners graduate with 1st Class and 2¹ yet wallow in joblessness for years, while their counterparts from the north get govt jobs easily even with 3rd class, and you tell me it doesn't matter. Thats what most myopic southerners don't know. Even in my office here, we have about 14 departments and in each department, you have 70% northerners and the remaining 30% will be spread across other Zones . In the IT department where I am, we have 16 staffs..10 are from north, 2 from east, 2 from west one from Benin and one from Benue..can you imagine |
