xykms101: Does nigerian army recruits any applicants that has tattoo on his/her arms? Though have seen soldiers with tattoos but i don't know if they actually got the pin into their skin before enlistment or after enlistment into nigerian army
if the tattoo is on your arms, chest, back or any place/part that can't be seen when putting on cloth, you don't have any probs but any places/parts aside those mentioned, you will be screened.

eko ilee: Were you at the event and did you ask him that question?

FAQ is universally designed to answer questions so it's up to you to read and educate yourself or remain in this thread with your idiocy and clownish acts.

I can't believe these losers have so much to say about these kids when in fact they should be worried about their own low grade education and lack of any ability to read, comprehend and articulate thoughtful views.

What a sad waste..

eko ilee: I've provided credible answers and have addressed your questions, but unfortunately, I have non for your sustained ignorance, thoughtless ill feelings and clueless pessimism, that's a personal issue you need to work on all by yourself..
Abeg park well make I see road, none of your damn answers suit any of my/our questions, instead of providing reasonable answer, you copied jagons and pasted it.

Even your ogbeni didnot even say anything related to all these questions:

How sustainable is this effort/project?

2. will the State be ready to continually provide tablets for subsequent students who move from the JSS arm to the SSS arm, and if so at whose expense?

eko ilee: !
You keep going on and in about cost when one of the major benefits of this idea is saving money. These tablets cost way way more than regular textbooks and apart from loading their school work on the tablets and the kids learning better, they also get computer literate at the same time which is a superior advantage over many kids in Nigeria.

Akwa ibom library is a scam and I doubt any kid is benefitting from it because while these opon imo are free, the kids in akwa ibom have to pay N1000 to use the bogus library so its pretty much useless and defeats the propose and thats if f there was any to start with...
At least we have only one reasonable comment from osun, brawse I would like to applaud the effort and also commend the initiative, I cant help but raise some questions on the aforementioned issue.
How sustainable is this effort/project? the problem with political office holders is that they like to involve themselves in elephant projects that wont stand the test of time. I cant help but imagine the level of corruption that would have gone into this project. How many state owned public schools do we have in Osun State and how many students (SSS) do we have in all schools. I guess over (7,000 to 15,000) on the average, will the State be ready to provide these students with tablets, have we considered the cost of procuring these tablets (for all SSS students) will not only furnish each State school with e-libraries, but will also provide good books for their consumption.
Most of these students cannot handle a computer talkless of the ability to handle and maintain tablets. I think it would have made better sense if all schools have very good e-learning libraries, tastefully furnished with computers (desk tops). This will ensure a win-win situation for all students and not a select few.

2. will the State be ready to continually provide tablets for subsequent students who move from the JSS arm to the SSS arm, and if so at whose expense?

That's my own point of view tho, i need somebody to convince people on this matter.

why wouldn't they have light when there are no companies to consume the light.

That's why we call it uncivilized state. Osun state is yet to stand on its own, that's why they are being controlled by lagos state.

Now I kindly beg of you stop bothering you self with your percieved poverty of osun state and just watch them succeed at what your otherwise rich and backward south east states can't do!
Hey! Which Osun are you reffering to? is it osun state that only has Osogbo and ile-ife?

jibsai: I almost didn't wanna talk but bin following ur comments nd I hv to say, it is a state govt project for God sake. If they can't afford the project, would they hv embarked on it to the extent of launching nd bringing peeps like prof. Soyinka as guest! And also why r u so concerned about the money, its not like its ur money tho! Osun students hv bin presented with a great helper to assist dem study, how they manage it is left to dem! When we were given books in skool did d govt seat with us to check when d leaves will finish. Sm1 in ss1 shd be able to use dat device thru Out d rest of senior class!! I wish d students all d best nd hop d state records one of d best results for waec, neco nd utme come next year!
fvck! See reasoning, so you don't know there are millions of abandoned project in all nigeria 36 states, come to the point of student handling computer tablet through out the sss classes when they can't handle ordinary school uniforms and textbooks. The project is totally a waste of money, that is if they actually have it in mind to complete it which i believe this would never circulate.

django1: I wasn't expecting much from you but yet you still fall my hand! So you actually believe having mobile handy and easily accessable learning utility isn't better than a cyber cafe styled akwa ibom e-learning center that isn't functional btw and rooted to one spot which makes it in- accessible to millions of other students outside the vicinity. You shock me with your reasoning bro!
My guy you have to grow up a bit. Disadvantages of this improper project supersede the advantages.

Afam4eva: I hope you know these tablets aint gonna last forever. If they get spoiled, will the government replace it. Where's the money coming from and how many people is this scheme going to reach? Osun is no Akwa Ibom and Delta and the cost of these gadgets will milk the state. I'm not saying it's not a good initiative but when governments in Nigeria decide on projects, the cost must be put into consideration.

Btw, are you an ACN member because your assertions on thread points to that fact.
My guy it is a good iniative but it is not a welcomed development in any part of nigeria let alone osun a very poor state.

Instead of this, why not build a large computer room with internet facilities and d edu software stuff where all junior/ secondary school students would have full access to learn instead of basing it on SSS classes only. Don't tell me junior classes don't have the brain.

OoduaDefence: Olodo ,did you read the article at all?? They have already installed educational softwares on the tablets. The children can access and use the installed software without ever needing to be connected to the internet. This is better than Akpabio or David mark donating cars to tuface and his wife.Kudos to the Governor.
For your dumb mind and you believe those children would only stick to educational software and would not attempt to know what's up on the internet.

My guy wake up most of those kids are yahoo yahoo they don't have time for any edu software. This not a welcomed development.

Politics › Re: Opon Imo Launched By Osun Today by cyril83(m): 9:34am On Jun 03, 2013
wellmax: Sorry not everybody is as poor as a bush rat like you. and who says the students have to subscribe for internet service? The tablets come with per-installed educational software. In fact even if you need to have internet, who says they can't afford it when even student can pay N1,400 for BIS. This initiative has been well thought out the Osun state Government, so Mr. Man, you should keep quite.
did you say afford? Even in osun where most of the students come from poor backgrounds.
